I wasn’t excited about George W Bush but voted for him anyway because he was clearly better than Al Gore…however, when the first two pieces of legislation he pushed in the spring of 2000 were the No Child Left Behind Act and then Medicare Part D, both absolute gifts to the Left, I was disappointed, to say the least. But, when he pushed through the new Office of Faith Based Initiatives, I KNEW that we had been sold a pig in a poke!! That single piece of legislation has done more long term harm to this country and to the TRUE church than almost anything else in the past 25 years, IMHO, and considering all of the terrible things that have been passed and pushed onto us, that is saying quite a lot!

The job of Christian churches is to “feed the hungry, clothe the naked, etc.” Once inside the country, then churches are likely better and more moral at managing the alien crisis.
It is the job of the federal government to control our borders and stop illegal entry into our country.
Churches should not get involved in promoting invasion of any country. That is clearly not their job.
Pope Francis certainly has stuck his neck, inappropriately, into this matter when he should remain silent. If he wants to promote the invasion of his own country, Argentina, fine… but he doesn’t do that. Instead, he pushes unsustainable and extremely burdensome mass migration into the USA and Europe. As a Catholic, I resent it.
IMO, the churches don’t have any actual power over migration… and the pope’s opinion also has no influence. Once migrants are inside the US and in need of care, then it is morally appropriate for churches to aid these migrants, human beings. That is what Our Lord said we must do.
The main job of the church is to go out into all the world and make disciples! Yes, we are commanded to feed and clothe the hungry and homeless but that is simply an outpouring of our primary responsibility, which is to preach the Gospel to them!
And that is my major argument against all of these supposed faith-based organizations – the only gospel they are preaching is a social justice one and the only disciples they are making are converts to an anti-American oppressed victimhood which will expand their power and destroy our country.
