Mike Rogers, Rep. from Alabama, is repororted saying that there no way he will ever vote for Jim Jordan for speaker and is working with the Democrats to choose a speaker the Establishment can support.

When looking through an Overton Window of a typical, normal thread, you would see mainly DC or international oriented topics.
What you won’t see are state and county oriented topics about legislation, state and local candidates and election control processes.
The bad guys control the outer bounds of the Overton Window so that the state oriented topics never appear within the window frame. You would think nothing was ever happening in the states. …………..Granted, there are some state topics that get through but they are few and far between.
You are exposed to the battlegrounds around the world when there are 50 hot battlegrounds within the USA.
They do that because MAGA’s main line of advancement is up through the states. The bad guys do not want to give exposure to what is happening in the states to advance the MAGA / America First movement.
So how do they do that?
The main control of an Overton Window falls to the “MAGA Imitator Commenters” who actively comment on and introduce comments about DC or international oriented topics. They can work alone but it is not uncommon for them to work in teams of 2-3 commenters to build up a topic within a thread, monopolizing the “conversation.”
They pretend to be MAGA.
They are easy to spot once you know what to look for. They will never introduce or comment on a state or MAGA topic, never.
That is how the bad guys control the content of an Overton Window. They steer the topics away from pro-MAGA to the DC or international oriented topics. Yup, they are controlling the narrative and people fall for it, never questioning why state topics very seldom show up.
Simple ……. but very powerful in controlling what ideas an unsuspecting audience is exposed to.
What is the “antidote”? Again, simple.
Write more MAGA comments about President Trump’s MAGA / America First movement and their activities in the state and local arenas. President Trump sets the example with his daily Truth-Social comments. Spread the word about the state/local activities to get/keep people involved in those areas that will result in a massive win in 2024. Do your part to defeat the manipulators of the Overton Window.
There are 50 hot battlefields in the USA that need reported on ….. and for 2024, they are more important than creepy biden’s latest boondoggles in Outer Mongolia.

I have a life, I keep politics at an arms length away from my life. I’m not engrossed into my state’s politics nor am I engrossed into MAGA politics and so I’m not a source for first hand information and won’t pretend to be. I come to TCTH to read Sundance’s very well informed and enlightening articles and to glean further insight from the commenters. Even though I’m better informed than the majority of the people that don’t read Sundance, I’m not an insider, all I have is an opinion and thoughts.
I’ve been on sites like this one long enough to know which commenters has credibility, I can often recognize an orchestrated campaign of manipulation and diversion, I pass over those commenters and comments as soon as I do.

I would say the strategy/tactic you describe quite well, long pre-dates the Internet, and is a major factor in turning our country away from the Constitutional Republic our Founders intended.
Firstly, TPTB got us to focus our attention on the FEDERAL Govt. rather than on our local, County and State Governments,…and as a second layer of distraction/deflection, to focus on elected PUBLIC officials, rather than elected PARTY officials, which is where the REAL political power is wielded.
While our attention is focused on the kabuki theater “fight” over the Speaker, quite possibly the first MAGA Gov. has just been elected in Loisianna.
State Governments, particularly with a majority control of the Legislature and the Governor, have a tremendous amount of POWER and AUTHORITY, to fight Fed. Gov. overreach.
Just need people woth the WILL to DO it, and with popular support.
Its a huge achilles heel of TPTB, that they work hard to keep us distracted, so we won’t notice.

So true. Over the years, we have lost control of the “gatekeepers” at the local and state party levels, resulting in the fraud and abuses we are seeing in GA, AZ, PA, TX……across the country.
In the past two years, there are many success stories of citizens taking back their school boards and other local entities …. that when shared with others provide examples and encouragement that others can benefit from and use in their communities in their states.
I would like to read about how the citizens of Louisiana were able to flip their governor from blue to red ….. in addition to the latest biden boondoggles sans some unidentified “manipulator group” filtering out the local/state stories.

But if a candidate gets more than 50 percent of the vote, as Landry did here, they can win outright on jungle primary day.
Many were expecting Landry, the clear and convincing frontrunner who has been the Attorney General of Louisiana for many years after a stint in Congress, to easily advance to the runoff and face Wilson in November. But his overwhelmingly strong performance on Saturday put him above majority support as the Associated Press called the race with him easily north of the 50 percent mark, meaning Landry will be the next governor of Louisiana.

I was reading the Victoria Spartz thread about her flip flopping her vote for Jim Jordan as Speaker. Sadly, we seem to have a real problem with flip-flopping by our Representatives. I posted there, but got into a tangent about how I think we can SOLVE these crises of representation. I really need to say this – because, frankly, I’m just really PISSED OFF.

Say what you want about Victoria Spartz of Indiana, but she is a symptom of the root cause. I live in Central Indiana, so I can speak about her leadership here.
1) Victoria Spartz is the only “representative” of the people who throughout her service to our State set up FREQUENT town halls. Frequent. She was constantly on the road talking to her constituents. Mike Braun, who is now going for, and I hope attains, the Governor role is starting to do the same, though Mike’s focus has been our veterans and making sure that they are being provided much-needed public services.
2) Victoria Spartz was HONEST in that when she was asked by our women’s caucus who controlled the strings of Washington DC – she did not pause, she did not deflect, she very quickly and matter-of-factly said “Ron Klain” who was Biden’s Chief of Staff.
Now… do I believe Victoria’s bias is showing a bit for her home country? Yes. Yes, I do. However, her family is there and if any of us were in the same position in which we determined that our new home country was mutilating and destroying helpless citizens including our own family and community – we may all start to act a little differently towards the government we trusted and looked up to. These people, including Jim Jordan, can start out honorable and MAGA, but stresses of the position and pressure can cause cracks in anyone’s sanity especially when associates and family members start ending up dead. We need to protect these people who are serving from corruption.
Spartz is not running for re-election. She says it is because she wants to spend more time with her family. What are WE ALL doing??? Well, how many of us are working hard at living our best lives??? Many of us see the writing on the wall that this whole political process and management by our representatives is completely and irretrievably broken. Many are giving up rather than have their own family members die in mysterious car crashes.
Victoria Spartz isn’t the problem. Kevin McCarthy isn’t the problem. Mitch McConnell isn’t the problem. Whoever the next flavor-of-the-week, we-can- only-trust-50%-on-a-good-day, Speaker of the House isn’t the problem.
THE PROBLEM is that it is OBVIOUS that NONE of the existing people in the Senate or House can fix this organized crime.
WE THE PEOPLE cannot trust anyone currently in power. Not any of them. We need to demand the following and forcibly remove these people and institutions from power and re-establish based upon our Constitution and Bill of Rights alone with some enhancements.
1) Shut it all down.
We don’t need the DOE. The states can handle it.
We don’t need Obamacare. The states can handle that.
Healthcare is big enough to be on its own and start competing for business again. We need to break up the monopoly real bad! Insurance is portable and follows the person state to state and all insurance is taken by all medical providers – it must meet minimum risk requirements and the costs for procedures will go DOWN once competition is put back into place. No more games for the doctors who need to bill $400 to get their wanted $40. If a patient wants to go to a $400 doctor then that is the consumer’s choice and their health insurance policy that they pay for should reflect that ability to do so.
No more pharmaceutical kick backs ever. Pharmaceutical companies go back to developing and creating medications that are touted based upon their merit and open reviews available to patients on open source network. Patients will have a right to try for experimental procedures such a stem cell harvested in humane umbilical cord harvesting that families can volunteer for when children are born.
No more Planned Parenthood. No more state sponsored murder of innocents. Medical abortions are only allowed when the mother and child’s health are at risk and there is no viable hope for survival, or in cases of rape with a legitimate assailant. No more mysogeny using women as semen dumps and if women want to live that life – it is their choice to proceed at their own risk. No bail outs. The churches can handle the community support of unwed mothers on a local level and they absolutely should – whether it is a logistical, marital, or moral issue.
No more social services for foreigners. Social services is only intended for the maimed, widow/widower, orphaned, those unable to work until they can be rehabilitated, or for the elderly who have paid their due diligent social security investments and who should expect their rightful proceeds.
We don’t need a weaponized IRS – remove the guns from their accountant paws – and strip back the IRS to only process tax returns (for the time being until a new and reasonable flat tax code without the frills can be established).
Cancel the CIA – our intelligence has been compromised and is untrustworthy. FBI the same. Assemble local militias such as the Texas Rangers or our Military Intelligence through National Guard (after the trannies and mentally ill have been removed) and ask our veteran intel to return to train a new breed of proper national law enforcement.
2) Cancel all Executive Orders that were never intended to be executed without the appropriate representative approval. On both sides of the aisle.
3) Shut down all international participation until the programs can be determined if they are within the confines of our laws and ethics of our country and for the exclusive benefit of our American citizens. I would even say that international participation should be put to a public vote considering it’s our public money paying for it all.
4) Bring everyone of our military members home and an operation is created and maintained to identify every single illegal alien in this country and expel them immediately. NOT give them free airline tickets and rides home. Drop them at the door step on the other side of our new wall being rebuilt again (after Trump started, then Biden dismantled and sold off the materials for pennies on the dollar in another huge grift where he is going to rip off the American taxpayer and provide more embezzlement opportunities under the guise of the military industrial complex!) Our military in its full force needs to be camped on our borders until our walls and a proper surveillance OF THE WALLS is in place and we need to issue a huge apology to our Border Patrol Agents and local LEO’s who have been so terribly abused.
5) Immediately remove governmental funding from all institutions of higher education. You want to go to college – pay for it. Work your ass off for it. Only courses that are titled and contain a syllabus that includes political studies should study politics. A student should NEVER know what their teacher’s political leaning is. Not ever.
Both sides should be represented and students come to their own critical thinking as to which is appropriate for them. Education should always remain unbiased. If bias creeps in, it is cause for immediate expulsion of the educator, because a good educator knows that it is important to offer ALL the facts of a scenario to truly develop an impressionable young mind to be who that young mind was intended to be. Not a society of weak minded automatons.
There will be no propagandizing of students for sexual orientation in grades K through 12. Only biology classes and health classes that have a title and syllabus and that are voluntarily enrolled in for that focused area of research will permit the study of reproduction. Only procreation will be taught in K through 12.
Any deviance to such will be through a higher education college course that is properly titled and syllabus available to which students may voluntarily enroll will cover topics outside the basic reproduction of the human race. Those courses can be available, but they will not be mandated and will not be required learning for college certificate. They are only to be offered as electives unless they are relevant for focused Psychological, Criminal, Biological, Medical fields of study and certification.
6) All politicians and community representatives must have term limits and may not take any donations, gifts, or outside funding more than the value of a modest lunch. Elections campaigns will have public media free of charge that is televised on dedicated televised channels so that constituents can hear their political messages unfettered and not by paying cable companies or internet service providers for access. They must provide their full resume and statement of financial holdings to the public identifying their employ for the last 10 years before and must provide an accounting of their future employ and financial holdings for 10 years subsequent to their term end. Popular representatives should have a cooling off period after office – but after that point can be re-elected to the seats that they previously held with popular public support – as long as they continue to agree to the terms set herein. An American private citizen vote should remain private and confidential. No one should have access to citizen voter roles unless you are a politician / representative then your vote is public via the roll call votes to hold you accountable to the public who elected you for such matters.
7) The selling off of indulgences or property, intellectual or literal, that is community or private property is strictly prohibited by politicians or public representatives. Any sale of such must be made public knowledge and put to a public popular vote. If a community population doesn’t want Eli Lilly to take over 17 acres of viable farmland to asphalt and put on a new facility then the answer should be “no”. The company should have to sell the idea to the taxpayers and inhabitants – not to the politicians who force it on the people.
8) Every citizen should have the right to privacy and protection of their personal property, assets, and peace. Corporations need make it clear if they fail to protect a persons identity, privacy, purchases, or search history and must ask for annual permission to make such things public knowledge or sold to parties who wish to monetize or study that data. No one shall have access to privacy without a court ordered subpoena ordered after establishment of just cause for search and only for a limited amount of dates and duration.
9) Lawsuits of any kind brought forth against person or entity found lacking in substance and law is eligible for a damages countersuit to reward the innocent party for all expenses, stress, and slander experienced during the litigation. If you are going to sue, you better win, else the innocent party can come after the accuser for proper and legitimate recompense. A civil legal defense fund should be established to prevent powerful entities from trampling on the rights of less financed citizens. Caps of legal fees implemented and all lawyers required to take on cases as a certain percentage of their time to litigate in court and negotiated legal matters on behalf of individual and group American Citizens. No more destroying people because they can’t afford to represent themselves. Legal fee caps of 10% of collected awards paid by the losing party with 90% of awards distributed to the injured parties. Payments to attorneys at time of case resolution to encourage attorneys to work efficiently and in the best interest of their client. Judges elected into their positions will have term limits and be required to the same stipulations as politicians with reporting their resumes 10 years prior and 10 years after office including their voting records. A separate media channel will be created for the biographies and resumes of the counselors will be available to the public free of charge, so the public can make educated choices for their local law enforcement agencies. Sheriffs, Captains, and Chiefs of Police Forces – all the same.

That is where TERM LIMITS come in. Special interests are less likely to invest if legislators have an expiration date and start to smell like spoiled milk. Plus we don’t get 40 year career politicians – unless they’ve done a good job – and fulfilled the cooling off period requirements including open source knowledge of their resume and financial holdings.
If you want to be trusted with political office then you have to prove fiduciary trust. Make it a condition. Alleviate the limits to the less affluent from serving by providing living needs and salary so as not to make a burden on their families while they serve in this TEMPORARY CAPACITY.
We need more private citizens to understand the rule of law and legislating. Maybe even make it mandatory high school course for students to study the legislature in their states in action. Not a field trip. A full semester course with mock bill writing and passing in addition to observation.

The unfortunate thing about term limits (although I agree with you and JWoo) is that it would take a constitutional amendment that even if a convention of states passed, it would still need to pass both Houses of Congress, which is unlikely.
A more pragmatic way, although with equal resistance, would be to eliminate any and all laws allowing any lobbying or campaign donations unless by private individuals with strict low limits of contributions.
Make it a campaign platform the constituency wants and then write the legislation to force roll call votes on single topic legislation.
Identify and primary anyone not on board. Can we recall those who won’t play ball and replace them? Why or why not?

Force those running to publicly support Term Limits or deny them. Go to where they are, respectfully pose the question publicly. Insist on a response and record them if possible. Right now, the US is positioning to provide assistance to Israel with the Gerald R Ford carrier battle group that is already in the eastern Mediterranean and the Dwight D Eisenhower carrier battle group that has left port and should be there in about 3 weeks. My assumption is that any activity that originates from any of those sea craft or associated aircraft will not be billed to Israel but booked as DoD activities. Apparently, the US Navy is ready to enforce a no fly zone over Tel Aviv if requested.

For those on American college indoctrination campuses celebrating innocents’ deaths, their extracurricular activities may come back to haunt them after graduation when they start looking for a job.
Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman, a Harvard alumnus tweeted on Tuesday that he had been contacted by “a number of CEOs” wanting to know if Harvard would disclose the names of students who belong to the campus organizations that recently signed onto a letter that stated that these student groups held “the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.” The reason behind wanting the students’ names made public? So these CEOs can be sure they never hire any students involved in these organizations.
Jake Wurzak, CEO of DoveHill Capital Management, was also short and to the point, saying, “I second this.” FabFitFun CEO Michael Broukhim was also brief and stated, “We are in as well.”
Just those three CEOs alone appeared to be enough to scare the Harvard snowflakes into fearing for their future employment opportunities. Five of the student groups who signed the letter abruptly retracted their support stated in the letter. The Harvard Undergraduate Nepali Student Association apologized if their support in the letter had been “interpreted as a tacit support for the recent violent attacks in Israel.” Well, when the name of your organization
appears on a letter that specifically blames Israel for the attacks, yeah, that might be construed as a bit of “tacit support.”
Harvard President Claudine Gray also swooped in to provide a bit of cover to the students, as well as a bit of CYA for the University, and stated that she condemned “the terrorist atrocities perpetrated by Hamas” and “while our students have the right to speak for themselves, no student group” speaks for the college or its leadership.” As if the students at Harvard needed a reason to look even more irresponsible and uneducated about the conflict, Danielle Mikaelian was a board member of one of the groups who signed the letter. She stepped down from that position on Tuesday, calling her group’s signing of the letter “egregious.” But the best part, Mikaelian, a Harvard Law student, stated that, because of a lack of any “formal process” for approval, she did not read the letter before her group signed on to it. Probably not too many law firms looking to hire lawyers who don’t read documents before signing them.
Ivy League universities like Harvard are not the only ones getting on the anti-Israel bandwagon. Colleges and Universities all over the nation are scheduling demonstrations and protests that are in support of Palestinians. Universities from California to North Carolina have held or are planning pro-Palestinian protests. But on the bright side, students all over the country will also get these valuable lessons in job hunting.
