Hakeem Jeffries has said that Democratic leadership will NOT be saving Kevin McCarthy and that House Democrats will vote to oust McCarthy as Speaker.
If this is true, McCarthy is done, as we will only need 5 Republicans to vote with the Democrats.

If Democrat (NOT Democratic) leadership are for his removal, I begin to wonder if they see something we don’t.
The McCarthy RINOs will vote in a democrat speaker.
It’s messy, no doubt. Scalice is out for cancer treatments and he’s not much better than McCarthy.
Here’s the thing, McCarthy is an excellent swamp creature and the dems are likely counting on whomever might succeed him to be less effective.
What they don’t get is that we are fed up with the swamp.
Dems could likely get a few disgruntled R’s to support Jeffries as the speaker. It could include McCarthy.
What MAGA sees is that the House is basically acting like it is run by D’s anyway.
Committee stuff would shift but the result would be essentially the same, a government divorced from addressing the concerns of the American people.
This all could have been avoided if the R’s had followed up on the endless chatter and chaff they throw out to us.
They couldn’t even do that. They’ve failed on impeachments, defunding the weaponized government, border security and countless other things the SOB’s all ran on to win.
After he was shot by a Bernie voter Scalice stabbed President Trump in the back. He’s another major disappointment.
It’s jsut agitprop. Democrats want the media spectical of the Republicans taking out one of their own. Then it’s back to selecting a Speaker. Go through the same process as before; watch for that Republican Rep. from Nebraska to propose the same work across the aisle with moderate Democrats plan.
Removing McCarthy had to be done just to show MAGA is no longer pretending. But I suspect, the House will return to the previous status quo, just a different RINO with the gavel.
It passed. McCarthy is out. It will be interesting to see what follows.

Actually, it was corrupted by government money long ago.
After WW2, we decided the government would fund research. From then on, scientists had to do what government told them to do if they were going to get money for research. More than writing papers or winning awards, the ability to get grants was the most highly prized talent in science.
This system allows politicians to influence science. And it allows little NAZIs like Fauci to set up a system where you have to do what he says or find a different career.
I fear that if they oust McCarthy, Democrats with the few Republicans will vote for Hakeem Jeffries , a Democrat, to be Speaker. That would really put the ”cat” amongst the pigeons. Remember that process that eventually led to McCarthy winning the Speaker’s Chair? Was not Jeffries’ name mentioned as possible Speaker? With Liz Cheney working with the Dems, that just might be a possibility. There goes the ”Impeachment Inquiry”; there goes the unlimited spending for Ukraine; there goes more abuse by the DOJ; and, there goes a Republican win in 2024.
I urge Republicans to be careful for what they wish. OR, perhaps this is exactly what the House wants.
