On the prior page, I responded to a comment by Lara Logan to the effect that Klaus Schwab has no real power. Coincidentally, I received an email from a client complaining about FINRA. I’m not a securities lawyer, so I did a little preliminary background research to ascertain who to refer the client to. What I discovered, that somehow I hadn’t paid any attention to, is worth sharing.
For everyone who believes that the SEC — yet another overblown and arguably oppressive government agency — somehow is in charge of our securities regulations, well, not completely. On July 30, 2007, Congress authorized FINRA, titularly “under” the SEC, but not really. The SEC merely “approved” it. For some reason, I always assumed that FINRA was a division of the SEC, i.e. a governmental sub-agency, similar to what the FBI is. Well, wrong.
FINRA — the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority — is a completely private — “non-governmental” — and “self-regulated” (i.e. unregulated) club, a monopoly that dictates rules and regulations (makes law!) and holds judicial-like hearings and requires reports from every dealer (and others) of securities in the U.S. But notwithstanding its “non-governmental” posture, the entire financial industry must kowtow to whatever it decrees and demands.
FINRA’s purpose, ostensibly, is to regulate the industry to, ostensibly, protect consumers. It decides who may or may not, e.g., be a securities dealer, and a lot more, including keeping reams of AI-assisted intrusive information on members of the financial industries, employees and investors, and freely reports to the DOJ, SEC, IRS, et al. Over the past decade, its own internally-funded (by extorting fees from mandatory “members”, fines, etc.) and completely unregulated authority has burgeoned.

Where Congress vests power in an agency that it created, those delegated powers must remain where Congress delegated them. But this is just one of many, yes, unconstitutional cases where steps were taken for pure political expediency, when unpleasant or unpopular things might need to be done.
In like manner, the entire “Federal Reserve System” is unconstitutional, because the Constitution gave Congress the sole power “to [coin] money, and establish the value thereof.” Not some mythical “private corporation.”

Right clicking lets you choose to open a link in a new tab or new window. On my touchscreen tablet, a long press serves as a right click, though sometimes it just ends up being a regular click.

I’m not that computer savvy but I must have done something which allows me to see the tweet and can see what the link is about. Also I can watch the videos in the “X” links without having to click on “watch on X”. Might be my browser (firefox) and/or Avast which is my virus protection. I never have to click through to “X” which I’m eternally happy about. It could even be the person posting the twitter links who knows how to reveal the twitter posting. It must be frustrating to never know what the link is about. I sometimes see recommendations to people who post those links to change the X to twitter which seems to help?

Not sure Justice Thomas folded; pretty sure there’s been a long tradition in the judiciary, whether it’s local, state or federal, that if a Judge has a personal relationship to a party in a lawsuit they recuse. Period. End of story. There’s no caving, there’s in fact, an upholding of this precept of impartiality.

Actually, His Honor (sic …) is well known to have a beef against real estate developers, and all of his decisions have been smacked down by the appeals court.
He actually claimed that “expert testimony is not evidence,” when everyone who appraises real estate IS an expert … as are the bank officers who choose to make loans. His Honor certainly is not. He simply wants to impose “whatever HE thinks” in order to make an entirely unconstitutional “taking” of someone’s private property and ongoing business. But he’s just going to be smacked again. And maybe thrown off the bench and disbarred this time?
He actually(!) said that Mar-a-Lago was worth $10 million, when vacant lots in the area sell for more than that. He also demonstrated that he knows nothing about how a three-story apartment would be assessed if it contained an interior balcony. (Nor did he ask anyone who does know to be advise the Honorable Court, as he would actually be required to do.) Yet he wants to use the power of the Court to impose his own lack of understanding. for anyone interested, a member of AA known as “Dick B.” wrote some great histories of AA, replete with footnotes, about the early AA’ers being inspired by their faith, which included regular Bible reading; stellar example, Anne Smith, the wife of “Dr. Bob” Smith – she was a dedicated prayer warrior, we would say today – and constantly looking through her Bible for affirmations that the Lord is a living Lord, Who is there for us today -that the promises in the Bible are for us now, also.
If I understand correctly, Dick B. was increasingly concerned that he saw the Lord being closed out of the fellowship by steady efforts to downplay the role of faith and prayer to God Almighty. Dick B. was an attorney and put his research and writing to put together this resource.
I recall hearing a tape recording of “Bill W.” as he spoke at one of the AA milestone conventions. He spoke of the early history of the fellowship and how the early AA’ers – including himself – were very let down when John D. Rockefeller declined to not subsidize their program – many of them who had not been thriving financially for some years were looking forward to that financial solvency – but Rockefeller declined as he said (I believe he told his board to inform the AA-ers), that all that money would “ruin it” – that he had had investigators looking into it and it was the closest thing to First Century Christianity, as it presently was. That turned out to be a good thing for AA in the long run and became part of their Twelve Traditions (the guidance for the fellowship at large, as the Twelve Steps are for the individual members).

Ignoring or discrediting valid information from those outside of the consensus group is standard practice in groupthink dynamics. Plenty written to identify it and understand it. It happens in many professional situations as well. Easy to identify.
And when you get branded by them, same has happened to many of us, it is simply a coping mechanism of the indoctrinated. Usually one or more at the same time will “bash and defile” so as to exert greater pressure to conform or remain silent. My brand is that of a “defeatist” which has been applied to others as well. At first I found it offensive. Now I consider it laughable. It’s just clique-ish stereotyping. There is a juvenile aura to it. Certainly nothing intellectual.

After all that President Trump has been through for citizens….it is beyond me why anyone would not vote for him. He is the only chance our kids have at a future here in the US. When RFK Jr was introduced to me as a current potential candidate, it was via James O’Keefe and an article where he and RFK jr were hiking together, they were all buddy buddy. It was RFK Jr’s escalator moment.
James O’Keefe has been elevated to hero status by the people on the right. With his intro of RFK Jr to the people on the right, did O’Keefe escort RFK Jr thru the right’s defensive lines? If so, now we have to do some extra pushing to get this sapper of Trump votes out of our camp.
Was O’Keefe used by Kennedy or is this what he is, politically speaking, a Kennedy sycophant.
If you go back several months, 8-10 mo or do, you’ll notice that a conscious decision was made to market Kennedy to the anti vaccine crowd. He suddenly got a ton of press and even a guest spot at a Congressional hearing. We all got marketed on how he was shadow banned for speaking out against the vaccines.
But notice how narrow the marketing was.
I don’t remember the O’Keefe thing, but remember a lot if vax reports showing up in media frequented by Trump supporters.
Remember, DeSantis also tried to peel away Trump voters by saying he’d have done a better job with fighting the Government Party response to COVID. Kennedy has been doing the same with the vaccines.
Clever, and they suckered a lot of people.
To me, the beauty of that magically available “internal polling” (it was ALWAYS going to be released…more marketing) is that roughly 60% of the country is not represented by either political party.
The legitimacy of the Govt Party rests on the idea that it has popular support.

I doubt Mr. O’Keefe was “in on it.” Many are just glad to highlight any teller of any truth, no matter what the subtler intentions behind the revelations.
This Jr. & the jabs ploy is probably the most formidable hurdle yet, because it has both truth and trauma as its commandeered weapons. Very sneaky, very clever.
I don’t doubt the Trump team sees it just as clearly. We don’t know everything they know, but they have had at least two years to work up a counter strategy lightning bolt from the blue. Count on it.
