It is not coincidental that it was also 2018, when DeSantis exited his congressional seat to establish the 2024 agenda. The U.N, as an institution, is also in alignment with the high-brow Prescott Bush clan. Ms. Nikki Haley is regarded by this clan as a very valuable commodity. As I said in 2018, “If they can’t get Jeb, or another Bush (ie. DeSantis) over the finish line, they will be much better positioned with investments in Nikki Haley.”
To be sure, for the voters this is an impossible lift, but the RNC/RGA donor class do not regard the voters as part of the equation. For too many years they have assembled the illusion of choice, and they are still stuck in that paradigm. Donors are crucial to keeping White House hopefuls afloat, and the willingness of some to now look beyond DeSantis underscores his struggle to convince donors that he is the best alternative to Trump. It also shows the despair of some Republican establishment donors looking for a viable candidate who is not Trump.
Of the five donors looking at Haley, three have so far broadly sat out the campaign while one has donated to DeSantis and another was supportive of him but did not donate. Tin was born in America, California. At the time of his birth his parents were both legal immigrants but not yet completed the citizenship process.
Tin went to China on business. He came back and his ship landed in port of Oakland. He was refused entry on the grounds his parents were not citizens when he was born in California USA.
The Supreme Court held that Tin; because he was born in the USA was indeed a natural born citizen as per the 14th amendment. Or anyone born here is a citizen. Even if mom came here specifically to give birth. Or if a corrupt Texas Arizona New Mexico California Dr fills out and files a USA birth certificate for a child born over the border in Mexico. Allegedly that does happen.
That 1896 ruling still stands. Too bad.
Sorry, no, that’s not what Justice Gray said. He discussed citizenship and what an NBC is, in a rather convoluted manner, but he did not ever say Wong Kim Ark was an NBC. You might also want to consider Gray was appointed by President Arthur, whose eligibility was also challenged. Long story, but within the last decade or so, it was discovered that Arthur’s father did not naturalized until Chester was a young teenager. The documentation was difficult to find because Chester changed his and his father’s birth dates by 2 years. Wong Kim Ark being the definitive case on NBC is a red herring.
The current misinterpretation of the 14th Amendment of granting citizenship to anyone born here, regardless of parents’ citizenship, does not bestow NBC status either. You can be a citizen, without being natural born. Children born abroad to US citizen parents, who meet legal requirements to apply for citizenship for their child, as well as 14th Amendment (anchor babies) are naturalized citizens,not citizens by their own nature.

The original meaning, as was used for the Constitution, requires both parents to be US citizens and the child must be born within the boundaries of the US (under the Constitution). I read back to Roman law (since the Roman Empire occupied England for 400 years, then came the Norman Invasion, etc.) I read centuries of British law, which waffled a bit at times, about who was a natural born subject, a naturalized subject, a denizen and an alien, to understand the laws and customs that informed the founders’ understanding.
In England, as well as in the American Colonies into Independence, the wife always followed the husband’s nationality/citizenship. Upon marriage, she took his, without any further action required on her part. The children followed the father’s too. When he naturalized, she and minor children were automatically naturalized too. This was codified here in the early to mid 1800’s and held true until the 1922 Cable Act, when Congress separated the wife’s citizenship from the husband’s. Thereafter, she had to apply on her own.
Citizenship isn’t inherited from parents. They set the stage by being US citizens, without foreign allegiances. By the child being born to two US citizens and born under the Constitution, the child is naturally a citizen, in their own right. All other access to citizenship is by naturalization, whether born on US soil or abroad. Congress has to pass laws for them to be citizens. They aren’t citizens by their own nature. That includes the 14th Amendment, which was meant to grant citizenship to the freemen after the Civil War, so they wouldn’t be stateless. They wouldn’t have been citizens without the amendment.
Since the Art. 2, Sec. 2 of the Constitution has never been amended, the definition remains the same. There is no other way for a person to be natural born other than acquiring it by being born under the necessary conditions that make them one by their own nature.
AND SCOTUS makes many mistakes that can and should be rendered moot.

Haley is a waste of space. I’ve come across too many yenta women in politics like her–absolutely worthless when it counts. No thanks, there are others who are worthy of being called a leader.
What would be helpful is a list with 1) names of the donor class, 2) the companies that made them wealthy.
We can easily boycott those company’s products, if we know what they’re relying upon to fund their tre ason.
