In my tiny home town in SW rural MN, mask are required of all visitors and residents when in hallways and common areas. Not required in residents’ rooms, no lockdown in rooms.

I didn’t go along very well the first time. I didn’t vax, period, and if somebody tries to jam one of those swabs to the back of my brain again, I’m going to do some swabbing of my own. I absolutely will not play along in any way this time, not even for the sake of politeness. Last time, I used the masks for my own purposes. My doctor’s clinic required masks for visiting patients. I strapped one on my crotch, and the one I wore on my face would get a new custom note in sharpie each time. Things like:
“These Masks DON’T WORK against Coronavirus. The package SAYS so.” Or “Welcome to Mask Theater.” Or “Does Submission make you feel powerful?” Or “A Nazi made me wear this to get the healthcare I’VE PAID FOR!”
I think it was the second visit during that period when my doctor said to me in the exam room: “I don’t control policy outside this room, but in here, you don’t have to wear that garbage if you do not wish to. I am still required to as a condition of my employment.”

Be careful when you get your flu shot this year that they don’t give you the combo covid shot. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to get a covid vax at this point.
At the beginning Fauci and all the rest said that the way these things work is that they mutate themselves down to versions that are very transmissible but also very mild, at which point they just enter the poopulation of other minor annoyance ailments like colds and flu that we don’t pay much attention to. I stopped getting flu shots many years ago when I realized that shortly after each shot I contracted the flu. My daughter used to deride me, saying that I was irresponsible for not thinking about other people.
