Not every single observation must be cited, Treepers are very good about knowing when to supply and when to presume that the information is so widely available that those few who don’t know it can easily find it.
A kind request generally will see the supplying of links if one implies they know not where, or how, to look.

It is frustrating at times to try to find links that google or other search engines are suppressing.

I agree with your way of thinking. I thought CTH was a place to exchange ideas and thoughts on current events. That’s why I’m here. Links don’t convey any of that. I’m perfectly capable of finding any number of links on any subject. When I post a link it’s simply to reinforce my opinion, not to swear to the truth of its content. Demanding links seems to be a way of minimizing a person’s opinion or perceptions to me. It feels too much like being in one of our “courts of law” that we’re experiencing here in this country. I can provide a link that says that the earth is flat. Does that make it so?
But, I’m relatively new here and not a fan of endlessly debating the veracity of websites. Actually, I’m not even a big fan of the internet. I mostly use it to find out what others are thinking about a variety of subjects, not what commercial websites are pushing.

In almost every state, law students who pass their state bar examination, which allows them to practice law, take an oath to support the U.S. Constitution.
But the country’s top law schools teach future lawyers and judges the opposite.
Many now teach that the U.S. Constitution, the supreme law of the nation since its ratification in 1788, is broken and should be scrapped.
At least that’s what two members of conservative think tanks believe after reviewing courses at the country’s Top 10 law schools, as ranked by U.S. News and World Report in 2022. They examined the teaching at Yale, Stanford, Harvard, and Columbia universities and others.
One of our kids excitedly got into a top 25 US law school and through the first year looked forward the to the Constitutional Law class as it was his passion. A few weeks into the class, we talked. He was disgruntled and disappointed. They still had not read nor discussed the Constitution, its intent, its history or any of the intellectual debates between the great minds that wrote it. He knew enough to see that the Constitutional Law class was entirely organized around the study of legal precedent used circumvent its intent. He met with the professor about this and was told that’s all there would be. Next term was legal ethics where the class was focused on not getting caught. To his credit he soon walked away from “law” school.
What a shame. We need lawyers that believe in the constitution.
If they make it through. While at the top of his class, he soon started getting bad marks and was one of the very few denied summer internships the school arranges. One good professor (property law) mentored him but it was not enough to get him off “the list”.
We don’t need lawyers.
How about NO lawyers. Seems like they have created their own need by finding ways to circumvent the laws. Laws which by the way that have been created by them in the first place.
We are having a discussion in our city Ormond Beach, Fl. About a proposed fuel depot within a mile and closer to 1000 homes, large soccer field complex and kids dance school across the street. 20million gallon storage tanks. Local airport which trains new pilots fly over proposed tank storage area. All the big law firms will not represent us because they don’t want to get the reputation of going against the big money developers. Money talks and doing the right thing walks.
It is not uncommon for students from the top law schools to graduate with well over a quarter million dollars debt. If they agree to work for the feds, the loan debt is paid by us taxpayers.

HECO provides 95 percent of all energy grid power for all the 4 of the 5 major Hawaiian islands: Oahu, Maui, Hawai’i, and Lanai. HECO does not provide power for Kauai. (Kauai power is a combination of about 50 percent fossil fuel power, 10 percent hydro-electric, and the rest is mostly solar. Kauai is dependent on the same single source, no bid oil contracts determined by the state of Hawai’i. So if HECO files chapter 11, there will be some effects on the cost of energy including Kauai. It’s a thing that energy companies that are insolvent do not get preferred lines of credit…and this is how most oil and natural gas (and coal) are purchased…on lines of credit. So this fire in Maui and the predicted financial collapse of HECO will have a PROFOUND EFFECT on home owners …the energy bills are going to sky rocket.

When are we going to see a Conservative/Republican county DA or even State AG fight fire with fire? I want to see Fani Willis, Alvin Bragg and Jack Smith (plus more if needed) be indicted in multiple Red states and counties for as many crimes as can be twisted until they fit their actions. For starters Conspiracy to Deprive Citizens of their rights under color of law? Election interference? There are thousands of laws, the number that can be twisted to fit the evidence have to be nearly endless.
Make them surrender for arrest in multiple venues, schedule every appearance to conflict with the schedules in their own anti-Trump persecutions. Have judges willing to slap them with gag orders threatening arrest if they discuss the cases, etc, etc? Make sure that they are charged criminally and civilly both personally and as representatives of the respective states and local governments so the costs are punitive win or lose.
Whether or not the charges can be proven is completely irrelevant, Lawfare is all about using the process itself as the punishment. Our enemies have established the precedent and written the playbook. All we need is a few lawyers willing to execute the retaliation. And then keep piling on with more indictments from more venues until they beg for relief.
And don’t tell me why “The Law” doesn’t allow for such a campaign because their own words and actions have proven that “The Law” is whatever a prosecutor and a bought and paid for judge agree it is.

Retired Magistrate here: Yes, the country is a mess right now. However, today in Central Ohio, the sun is out, temperature 67 with a slight breeze and low humidity. My flowers are still blooming, the butterflies are enjoying them along with the occasional humming bird.
We have food to eat and the pantry is stocked. The well and septic system are working and the electricity is on. My husband and I are getting projects done to ready the house for Winter. His cancer is under control and my autoimmune disease isn’t to bad right now. My brother is still alive and I am getting ready to send him another card.
So what is the point of me telling you this: this is the day that the LORD has made, enjoy it. Get outside if you can, take a walk and enjoy GOD’s creation. Live your best life today because it just might be your last.

And even though my wife just had focal seizures (her right arm went numb and painful) caused by a Cavernous malformation in her brain (a jumble of small blood vessels that can leak and put pressure on the brain). After a week in the hospital, and continuous EEG’s … the Doctors were able to use anti-seizure medication to bring it under control. The neurosurgeon did not recommend surgery, but we are consulting with a neuro oncologist (no, it’s not cancer) today to see if radiation is warranted to eliminate the malformation. So, prayers appreciated … but she has been recovering well, although the medication makes her very tired.
So, we hope for the best, pray, and put our trust in God. God is good. The world is beautiful … and people are lovely.
