Hundreds of pages of blunt advice, memos and internal polling were posted online by the main super PAC backing the Florida governor, offering an extraordinary glimpse into his operation’s thinking.
Ron DeSantis needs “to take a sledgehammer” to Vivek Ramaswamy, the political newcomer who is rising in the polls. He should “defend Donald Trump” when Chris Christie inevitably attacks the former president. And he needs to “attack Joe Biden and the media” no less than three to five times.

The documents were posted this week on the website of Axiom Strategies, the company owned by Jeff Roe, the chief strategist of Mr. DeSantis’s super PAC, Never Back Down.
The New York Times was alerted to the existence of the documents by a person not connected to the DeSantis campaign or the super PAC. After The Times reached out to Never Back Down for comment on Thursday, the group removed from the website a key memo summarizing the suggested strategy for the debate. (more)
Without PDJT, there won’t be a debate. All the other candidates agree, and were only looking to score political points with carefully crafted barbs aimed at him, which will fall even flatter because he’s not there.
I’m curious to see whether Baier and MacCallum address PDJT’s absence head-on or spend the time making snide remarks about him. My money is on the later.
I watched the recent Tucker Carlson interview of V. Ramaswampy and was impressed with his clear thinking on a range of topics, but his connection to the Soros family are bothersome.
If Ramaswamy is connected to George Soros in any way, he is a “sleeper” just like Barack Obama was. Smooth talker, saying all of the right things, then once in power, it would be Obama 2.0. In this case, yes, DeSanctimonious should take a sledgehammer to Ramaswamy. It should already be crystal clear by now, that the American People want Donald John Trump as the next President of the United States of America. Obama told us exactly what he was going to do. Fundamental transformation and all that, remember? The problem was, too many people didn’t listen. Ramaswampy does indeed say the right things, even though he has a snowball’s chance in San Francisco of becoming president.
Accepting money from a sketchy foundation for school does not prove the person is an adherent to the doctrine of the donor. It does suggest investigating him in detail would be prudent.

While years ago I was initially bothered by the seemingly new grammar rules when it comes to comments, I sat back and thought, “thank God they’re commenting because I’m learning so much.”

Anyway, here is the most useful and revealing question which might be asked of each candidate: “Will you support the Republican nominee regardless of who the 2024 nominee is?”
If the answer is a clear ‘no’ then that candidate is not in alignment with the MAGA Republican base and will lose big in November 2024 if he or she becomes the nominee.
If the answer is a clear ‘yes’ then there is no point in that person running for the nomination at all, at least not in the 2024 election cycle.
If the answer is ‘only if Donald Trump isn’t the nominee’ then the reason for their candidacy is clear, to keep Donald Trump out of the White House even if it means losing to the Democrats in 2024.

You comment is good, but unrealistic in this day and age. Since when has a politician (other than President Trump) even given a clear and concise “Yes” or “No” answer? Sideways-perambulation and self-serving are the name of the game these days when it comes to answering serious questions.
