Illegal immigrants Firearms Prohibition-
Defendant was arrested and indicted under 18 U.S.C. Section 922(g)(5)(A), which prohibits an alien who “is illegally or unlawfully in the United States” from possessing a firearm. Defendant did not dispute that he possessed a firearm, but filed a motion to dismiss the indictment, claiming Section 922(g)(5)(A) violated his Second Amendment rights. The district court denied Defendant’s motion, ultimately convicting him after a bench trial.
Defendant appealed, arguing that because he lived in the United State prior to his arrest, he was among “the people” protected by the Second Amendment. The Eleventh Circuit rejected Defendant’s argument, holding that the Second Amendment does not apply to all citizens. Under District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), the Second Amendment confers the right to gun ownership to individuals, not collectively. Thus, certain groups of people are constitutionally deprived of the right to own or possess a gun. Based on the Eleventh Circuit’s “‘examination of a variety of legal and other sources’ from the Founding era,” aliens who are unlawfully present in the United States are among those who are constitutionally restricted from owning or possessing a firearm.

Machines were only introduced into our elections after the 2000 Bush v Gore election case, the whole purpose of which was to create a crises, in order to justify the introduction OF the machines, and with that a far more efficient way to do what the Uniparty had already been doing for some time i.e. manipulating election outcomes.
For instance, Lindsey “kept his seat” in his last election, because the Dems ran an openly conmunist nutjob as his opponent, as a “cautionary tale” opponent.

The lever / mechanical voting machines made The Standard Voting Machine Company in Rochester, NY were secure. They reatured a tamper proof master tally as well as election day tallies. They also created by mechanical means a paper roll record. They were not subjet to remote tampering. They provided an accurate count at polling station that could be reconciled with the voter turnout records. If a voter moved the wrong lever he cold easily return it to the upright position and then move the desired lever. There was a separate red handle that finalized the individual voter’s choices and also opened the privacy curtain.
Sadly those machines were not used in the Florida 2000 election which gave rise to the hanging and dimpled chad insanity.

You can go and vote in the Republican primary even though you are a registered Democrat. You just wont be able to vote in the Democratic Primary. I know someone who was an R in an open primary state that voted for Hillary against Obama. They correctly reasoned that Romney was going to be the Republican nominee, they also wanted to go to the other side and screw with their numbers.
It is also a heavily used method in a primary to keep really old on the ticket, against really new (wild card/cant be controlled). Both of which would beat the opposition in a general. There are a couple of Senate races that come to mind.

so today and forever I am not allowed to buy incandescent light bulbs. glad I stocked up but the few I was able to buy won’t last forever. next it will be anything using natural gas. then the internal combustion engine will be outlawed. followed by no more oil drilling and gasoline and diesel outlawed. no more coal mining. everything will have to be electric but will the current grids be able to handle the load and how will electric be generated. I’m stocking up on candles and thinking Russia may be more free.

That goes into effect August 1st, so Monday, if you have a source for incandescent bulbs that is the last day they can be legally sold.
I know that’s the first place I’m going Monday morning – we have an outside set-up for using these lower watt incandescent bulbs when the heat tape for the water lines just isn’t enough to keep the water from freezing, these old bulbs put off just that extra touch of heat that these newfangled bulbs don’t.
Well it just so happens gas generators are next!

She has such wonderful stories. Her daughter is our historian and can go on an on. We do know that this castle is one of the most photographed castles and has been in several movies. Do you know/enjoy the Outlander series? The author lives where I live, I’ve heard her/read her talk about the Scottish historic research she based the initial books’ period, the (Fraser/Mackenzie Clans) characters, & their circumstances on… so she didn’t have to make up everything in her book that she decided to write because “there’s something about a man in a kilt…” she’s confessed. There is an Outlander/Fraser Clan tartan for that now that her ‘world’ has taken on a life of it’s own.
She sent 3 chapters to a publisher, and got a 3 book contract… the series became *very* popular & famous. She is a consultant on the TV series (Ronald Moore; prev. W/P of Star Trek TNG/DS9/V1&2/+).
Outlander TV series is primarily filmed in Scotland including the storyline which takes place in the US Carolinas pre-&/Revolutionary war; apparently the landscape is near identical, the weather is not as pleasant… wet & cold most of the time is always noted in cast & crew interviews, lol.
Ten books, 1 season = 1 book; season 7 started last month; it’s *so beautiful there*.

It runs on Starz… season 7 is showing currently (don’t be tempted… start at the beginning!); I suppose the previous seasons are archived somewhere – Netflix has 5 seasons available; IDK what’s on DVD yet since the series is still in production.
Starz is a cable channel, I believe; season 8, apparently the final season, is in the works but there’s a writer’s strike and it has ground this effort, too, to a halt… already under contract so it will be made sooner or later, in any case.
This historical fiction is very good reading; this author’s mind is astonishing (she writes war & sadism & dark-ugly surprisingly vividly just as well as she writes dynamic, nuanced characters and much steamy amour also; Louis Lamour-caliber vivid) and the TV series is very high quality in visuals & details. The series varies some from the books – the books are so much richer (as per usual with adaptations)… but the beauty of the series makes it really excellent too. I hope you enjoy it!

ski boat in the 70s had a 318 in it. Chrysler also was a heavy hitter in recreational boats. Chrysler
boats were made between 1966 and 1980. Runabouts, fishing boats, small cabin cruisers, sailboats.
Chrysler boats were consistently among the top 5 brands sold for many of the years they were made
What else occurred? Chrysler had to quit making big block engines. No more 383, 400, 440s.
A whole lot of larger motorhomes had a Chrysler 440 powering them prior to 1980.
The fallout in the marine division closed a big plant in Plano, Texas. And started the demise
of the outboard plant in West Bend, Wisconsin. Chrysler outboard were bought out by Force,
and eventually Force was discontinued, closing the large West Bend plant.
And they (Lee Iacocca) began domestically mass producing ‘k cars’ (frames) and had several body styles to place on the same frames. (economy of scale)
It seems that they worked to payoff the bailout. (contrary to subsequent other bailouts to gm etc)
To deal with a (another fake) oil shortage, and a subsequent govm’t push for fuel economy,
they imported small engine vehicles from overseas (Mitsubishi) – and used that as a bridge in time – to design / develop smaller vehicles.
At the same time, other over seas small car manufacturers saw a window of opportunity to enter the U.S. market.
And some have increased their market share quite a bit, since the 80’s. (in part, due to some, not all, developed a verifiable history better quality, life, lower maintenance over time)

To my way of thinking, it is extremely hard to find what should be easy to understand information regarding the US auto bailouts of 1979 and 2009. I have come to the conclusion that the powers that be want to paint US auto manufacturers in the absolute worst light. Also, I believe that GM has been getting preferential treatment over Ford and Chrysler in the MSM and US Government reporting on these bailouts. Numerous articles I have read about these bailouts have lumped in Ford by speaking about US automakers being bailed out without mentioning that 2/3 automakers were bailed out and not US automakers as a whole.
I have to go mow my lawn in a bit but later I might just try to find some honest reporting about GM’s bailouts. I do know for a fact that GM was claiming they repaid their 1979 bailout in an ad that the US Government forced them to immediately take down when at that point, way LESS than half had been repaid.
I felt back in the 1960s that US and European car enthusiast magazines were staffed by communist/progressive/new age types. I specifically remember some ridiculous comparisons between VW Beetles and Chevrolet Corvairs and especially mid 60s – early 70s American vans and VW Transporter/Microbus vans.

City of Reedley officials called in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the FBI, the State Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), the State Department of Health, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Fresno County Department of Public Health (FCDPH).
“Reedley officials and personnel from CDPH and FCDPH executed a warrant on March 16 to inspect the warehouse at 850 I Street,” MidValley Times reported. “According to a declaration from Humero Prado, Assistant Director of Fresno County Public Health, which was filed in superior court, investigators discovered that one room of the warehouse was used to produce COVID-19 and pregnancy tests. In other rooms, investigators found blood, tissue and other bodily fluid samples. They also found thousands of vials that contained unlabeled fluids.”
And they found 900 genetically engineered mice, engineered to catch and carry COVID-19, living in “inhumane” conditions. 773 of the mice had to be euthanized, and officials found another 178 mice already dead.
We have a few questions:
Why was a Chinese company making COVID-19 tests in California?
Where were these tests to be used? California public health agencies? Medical groups and hospitals?
Is the California Department of Public Health involved?
Who authorized this lab?
What does the Newsom administration know about this?
Mid Valley Times further reports:
“From May 2 through May 4, the CDC’s Division of Select Agents and Toxins inspected 850 I Street. Court documents confirm the CDC found potentially infectious agents at the location. These included both bacterial and viral agents, including: chlamydia, E. Coli, streptococcus pneumonia, hepatitis B and C, herpes 1 and 5 and rubella. The CDC also found samples of malaria.”
“Court documents identify Xiuquin Yao as the alleged president of Prestige. Neither Reedley nor FCDPH was able to obtain from Yao any substantive information regarding Prestige or why infectious agents and mice were being stored at 850 I Street other than to say that the company was developing diagnostic testing kits.”
“Court documents include copies of an email exchange Prado conducted with David He, who identified himself as a representative of Prestige, beginning May 31 and continuing through June 13. Over the course of numerous emails, Prado repeatedly asks He to provide documentation regarding licensed medical waste disposal, Prestige’s reasons for storing infectious agents and how the company will respond to the biological abatement orders handed down by FCDPH.”
“They (Prestige) completely avoided the questions,” Prado said. “This individual (He) was either unaware or was intentionally trying to mislead us.”
As a start, the Globe made Public records requests to the City of Reedly and the Fresno County Department of Public Health for information and communications between the all of the agencies, as well as any documents and materials found at the illegal lab location. Court documents state that Prestige was operating a lab in Fresno in 2022 but it was destroyed in a fire, which prompted the move to Reedley.
