Officials bust illegal lab containing 20 infectious agents, hundreds of lab mice

Local and federal authorities have shut down what seems to be an illegal medical lab hidden in a California warehouse that contained nearly 1,000 laboratory mice, hundreds of unknown chemicals, refrigerators and freezers, vials of biohazardous materials, including blood, incubators, and at least 20 infectious agents, including SARS-CoV-2, HIV, and a herpes virus.
A criminal investigation is ongoing. The tenant of the warehouse is listed as Prestige Biotech. Prado told KSEE that the company’s president, Xiuquin Yao, was not forthcoming with information. According to the court documents, Yao told officials that his company had moved assets belonging to a defunct company called Universal Meditech Inc. (UMI), to the Reedley warehouse from another Fresno location where UMI had operated before it was evicted. Prestige was identified as a creditor to UMI. But, Prestige allegedly failed to provide any licensing or permit that would explain the laboratory activity at the warehouse.
Hmmmm – this have anything to do with all the Chinese men of military age coming in over the open Southern Border?

From what I can tell, the warehouse didn’t even rate a biosafety level at all. Based on what they found, it should have been biosafety level 4, but instead it sounds more like it was biosafety level zero, unless there’s something lower than that. This one made the other Chinese bioweapons lab, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, look like something so clean and germ-free you could eat a steak dinner off of it.
And, needless to say, the kinds of dangerous, infectious biological agents they found in the warehouse require special federal permits. Covid and pregnancy seem like an odd combination. And despite repeated attempts by state and federal officials, as far as I can tell, nobody has managed to get a straight answer or figure out who or what owns Prestige Biotech or even where its headquarters are.
“The other addresses provided for identified authorized agents were either empty offices or addresses in China that could not be verified,” an NBC report on the story explained.

Bohemian Grove is not too far from where I live and it is surprising to me that it is a spot where the elites meet. Not far from the Russian River and Redwood trees, it is really fairly rustic. But, the area was a vacation spot one hundred years ago when city dwellers wanted to “go camping” with benefits, and escape the summer doldrums, and I guess it has its charm.

Is this where we have arrived? When Her Royal Highness actually deleted and smashed disks and phones that were under subpoena and faces no consequences ? It’s also the same story when it comes to “waving and showing a classified document” – no proof or evidence what the President was even holding in his hands.

Requesting feedback from those familiar with Ohio Issue 1 to be voted on in the special election on August 8th. The change makes it more difficult for citizen-led constitutional amendments to get put on the ballot by requiring signatures from 5% of the voters in every county to go on the ballot and a 60% majority vote for passage.
While I am for the issue for a number of reasons, I have a nagging worry that the republican legislature in Ohio is trying to pull a fast one. As you may be aware, Ohio is filled with establishment republicans who run the party. They even worked with dems to install a questionable speaker of the house. And DeWine simply speaks the republican mantra.
I have a concern that, like the Patriot Act, the proposed change may enshrine some kind of government control mechanism that is not obvious on the surface.
So I would be interested in hearing whether others have similar misgivings or have identified the potential for there to be a poison pill within the proposal.
