I am in the first stages of research. As you might expect the company is conspicuously hidden in business filing and the federal and state investigators have blocked public info. Apparently this storage facility was known and investigated as far back as March 2023. Something about an inspector noticing an illegal water hose running from outside the storage facility into one of the storage rooms. That triggered a warrant to search when the storage facility owner gave dubious and contradictory information about the storage owner. It’s taken this long to make news because someone in the courts apparently leaked the warrant to local reporters. Beth mole at Ars Technica ran the story where I read it first yesterday…then starting digging. Will report what I find over next several days

Be very wary of the green label “Certified Sustainable” I found out the hard way a few weeks ago after eating peanut butter , a food I never had an allergy to. In this particular brand PP they added palm oil, the side effects of this newly added substance took me out of commission for a couple days.
“Certified Sustainable” could also mean insect protein added.

These days, reading ingredient labels on processed foods is a potentially life-saving necessity. Processed foods are loaded up with all sorts of garbage that is used to improve manufactureability and shelf stabilitly–and never mind the potentially harmful effects on health. Yuck!
Nut butters have become very expensive. You have to pay-up for better quality. Look for nut butters packaged in glass jars, rather than plastic, and pay attention to color and texture. Avoid any product that contains any ingredient other than nuts.

I disagree with almost everything Oliver Stone says in this interview. He starts off by buying into all the global warming propaganda, embracing Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth.
He then moves on and claims that the US’s use of nuclear weapons against Japan was an improper use, as though the two bombs didn’t save millions of Japanese lives and hundreds of thousands of US lives, sparing both nations from an invasion of Japan.
But the main thrust of his comments were in support of nuclear power plants, as if Fukushima never happened. We have seen nuclear accidents, and we have seen them poison the lands about those plants that had accidents. The radiation poisoning makes those lands uninhabitable forever. We need to find much safer ways of producing nuclear energy before it regains my support. Yes, I supported it until Fukushima.
Stone brushes off the nuclear waste issue, but keep in mind that these depots of such wastes will remain deadly for hundreds of thousands of years. What language will be spoken then? How do we warn those in the future who might stumble onto an abandoned waste repository? Recycling the waste is a better idea, but the US has promised the World that it won’t. Why? Because it is possible to draw plutonium out of the waste, and we are setting an example for all the countries around the world. Every other nuclear nation in the world recycles nuclear waste. We are led by idiots.

I know he was in Iowa, but it’s disappointing his support of Ethanol. I think the energy to produce it is less than the energy it gives. And we have all read about the damage it can do to engines. Also the idea of a foodstuff being used for fuel. Or while I have read that corn is not really edible, using productive acreage for non foodstuff. And if we are talking huge multinational agribusiness, these billion dollar companies are being subsidized on our dime…..it’s not the small farmer trying to eek out a living.
