One of the pithiest remarks, that I have read, concerns our honorable legislatures (I’m kidding – they are scum) debating whether to give the WHO control over America during a pandemic. The simple comment was that our sovereignty was not theirs to give away. Our sovereignty does not belong to them. It belongs to We the People. The Constitution creates the three branches with unique powers given to each branch and these powers are not theirs to give away, as well. These powers belong to us, We the People, and these powers are exercised by them only by our consent. JFK Jr. reminds that our Founders battled several pandemics during the early years of the Republic and not once did they abrogated any portion of the Constitution during these times of pestilence.
Another example is the printing of money. The printing of money is given to the Legislative branch. The legislative branch has no right to give it to any private company and this includes the Federal Reserve. Our sovereignty is not theirs to give to anyone and the power to make money belongs exclusively to the Legislative body because they are answerable to us and to us alone. It is flatly unconstitutional and, frankly, twisted and perverse to give this power to a private organization for any reason. It is not their power to give away, also. The Constitution makes no provision whatsoever for this nonsense. It is like allowing sovereign US soil to be given away. Never will happen.

This article is rather tedious, but, I enjoy such details. It is worth a read with coffee. The idea is this. Pennsylvania passed a law that says whatever California does then Pennsylvania will adopt the same laws automatically. In the 70’s it was great. California passed common sense laws that cut down on automotive emissions and Pennsylvania cut and pasted those laws into their statutes.
The problem is that California has lost its collective mind and are now passing bad laws or horrendous laws concerning minors. The Pennsylvanian legislatures are pushing back on the Penn law that commands that they adopt the same laws without legislative debate and consideration/vote by the state population.
PLF stands for Pacific Legal Foundation and they are a pro bono legal group with an interest in separation of powers. They are arguing against the automatic adoption of California law in Pennsylvania. The article articulates their position well:
Even when state regulatory bodies are allowed to set rules, there are mandated procedures of soliciting input and comments, including analyses of the impact on local society and economy. This wasn’t done. A state regulatory body, such as an environment board, cannot have a carte blanche to write regulations without scrutiny from the Pennsylvania electorate, directly or through elected representatives. Doing so, says the PLF, is unconstitutional.

The Trump years (and there will be four more) changed the electorate in a profound way. When Washington DC argued that the senators should be directly voted by the electorate and not be state senators or when they gave the power to print money to a private organization the electorate trusted them and allowed them to do so. The people in DC, after all, love this country like we do. They look for the best for this country like we do.
We know that that is complete bullshit. They hate us and our country and look at us not as citizens but as cows to be milked and then slaughtered. We have no rights. The only reason that we have the illusion of voting and that they give lip service about elections, rights, truth, justice, the Constitution, etc. is the same reason that some dairy farmers play classical music to their cows. It makes them more productive .
We do not trust them anymore and We the People, in small and large ways, are clawing back harder and increasingly harder still the powers that belong to us.

On July 2, 1881, only four months into the first term of President James A. Garfield, an angry attorney from Illinois named Charles J. Guiteau shot Garfield in the torso at a Baltimore, Maryland, train station. Guiteau had a motive. He was furious because he believed, due to his work for the campaign, that Garfield would give him a job in the new administration. But none was forthcoming. It was revenge. Garfield died of the wounds months later.
It was a shocking thing. Congress immediately got to work figuring out how to prevent the next assassination. They had the theory that they needed to end the system of patronage in government so that way people wouldn’t get mad and shoot the president. Not a very good theory but this is how politics works. The result was the Pendleton Act that created a permanent civil service. The new president, Chester Arthur signed the bill in 1883. It was done: the administrative state was born.
What Congress did not understand at the time was that they had fundamentally altered the American system of government. The Constitution nowhere provides for a permanent class of administrative overlords to whom Congress could outsource its authority. It nowhere said that there would exist a machine technically under the Executive branch that the president could not control. The Pendleton Act created a new layer of statist imposition that was no longer subject to democratic control.

You’ve kind of answered your own question. Because he’s minor, first of all. Secondly because if there was anything big on him, the opposition will want to save it in the unlikely event that he gets the nomination. Same reason they’re sitting on the story of RDS partying with underage students.
The uniparty doesn’t view him as a threat. Next year, as the primaries get closer and if it looks like he has a chance, he’ll get scrutiny. Similar to Herman Cain.

How many more of these reports are coming? How much evidence does anyone need? There’s enough to jail many election manipulators, cheaters. Yet, the courts refuse the cases. The media denies the evidence. The Dems mock unmercifully anyone who talks about stolen elections.
What has happened as a result of this evidence which keeps coming out? What election systems in each state have changed? Are mail in ballots being outlawed? Are electronic machines being mothballed? Is picture ID mandatory in each state? Is ballot harvesting being stopped? For the most part the answer is nothing has been changed.
The evidence shows the 2020 and 2022 elections should all be negated and done over. Yet, nothing really has changed except more awareness of the great fraud put over on the American voters who by and large have ignored or denied it happened. The anger over their votes being stolen has not been there for the majority. Even if they think it’s possible/probable for elections to be stolen, most voters just shrug their shoulders and walk away from doing anything because they think they can do nothing. How many will no longer even vote anymore?
If we do not find relevant changes for next years election process, we will most likely lose more to the -cheating without guilt-leftist democrats. The solutions are to keep trying and fight for election rules changes at the local levels that make sense and help, not like what CA republicans are trying to do. I fear we are getting really close to running out of time for 2024 to change significantly any election laws, but we cannot give up.

Although, (I have to admit) I am just getting ready to head to pick a couple of buckets of blueberries, sun just now lighting my office, temperatures on this quiet morning in Oregon’s Willamette Valley just approaching 60(f), headed for 80 late afternoon. It’s definitely all good.
My husband and I joined his sister and her husband at a picnic by a river in northwest Arkansas. We were guests of a Mennonite family who cooked lunch on their Lodge cookware over the coals. Desert was peach cobbler. After eating, we all circled up and sang hymns. Their beautiful voices and the bald Eagle who swooped close to the river waters while we sang brought tears to my eyes. I felt the Holy Spirit and will hold that moment in my heart forever.

In a study appearing today in Nature, the team writes that they have detected changes in ocean color over the past two decades that cannot be explained by natural, year-to-year variability alone. These color shifts, though subtle to the human eye, have occurred over 56 percent of the world’s oceans—an expanse that is larger than the total land area on Earth.
In particular, the researchers found that tropical ocean regions near the equator have become steadily greener over time.

I’ve pondered the “reparations” scam (and if the politicians are involved, you can be sure that it’s a scam) that’s been bubbling through the media for a while and think I’ve figured out the modis operandi.
Both California and New York have proposed reparations and have been losing population to other states for some time.
They are both dependent on population numbers to maintain their power in congress.
The reparations issue, if kept in the news will attract blacks from across the country hoping to cash in on the giveaway of free money.
Logic normally would bring logical people to the conclusion that the cost of paying benefits to millions of imported unskilled chair warmers would not be a good idea but in todays America, if you have the populations numbers, you have the political power to appropriate federal (taxpayer) money to your own state to more than make up for it.
I believe that it’s also the reason for the open borders policy.
How can someone living in the inner city poverty afford a Mercedes or Cadillac SUV? Asking for a friend……

Deer spread COVID to humans multiple times, new research suggests

Americans have transmitted COVID-19 to wild deer hundreds of times, an analysis of thousands of samples collected from the animals suggests, and people have also caught and spread mutated variants from deer at least three times.
The analysis published Monday stems from the first year of a multiyear federal effort to study the virus as it has spread into American wildlife, spearheaded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, or APHIS.
Scientists analyzed 8,830 samples collected from wild white-tailed deer across 26 states and Washington, D.C., from November 2021 to April 2022, to study the COVID variants that had infected 282 of them.
Several of these viruses appear to still be mutating and spreading between deer, including the Alpha, Gamma, and Delta variants of concern that drove an increase in deaths earlier in the pandemic, long after these lineages were subsumed by the wave of Omicron variants that continue to dominate nationwide.
An investigation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was able to track down three people who were infected by a variant with this hallmark deer mutation, as well as a handful of zoo lions who were also infected by the same strain.
None of the humans said they had close contact with either deer or the zoo.
APHIS researchers have been studying whether white-tailed deer, among several American wildlife species, could potentially serve as a long-term so-called “reservoir species” to harbor the virus as it mutates adaptations to spread among deer.
A previous report from scientists in Canada found “a highly divergent lineage of SARS-CoV-2” that spread from deer to humans.
“The potential for SARS-CoV-2, or any zoonotic disease, to persist and evolve in wildlife populations can pose unique public health risks,” Wan said.

The Russians are late to the great global game of dominance in realizing, as the China Inc. did in the 1980-90’s, that emphasis on economic warfare is far more effective than leading with military might. They are catching up on this diplomatic front.
People forget that Russia (via the USSR) and China Inc. (via the Chinese Communist Party) have had a strong relationship since 1927 that has evolved. [Historical Note: The Russians were actually even one of the most effective supporters of the Nationalist Chinese vs Japan in the 1930’s, sending troops and air units as well as equipment to fight the Japanese.] Meaning the current level of cooperation between Russia and China is NOT some new development, it pays to read and heed history.
Russian Governments (and USSR) have this very interesting historical characteristic … they never seem to abandon nor forget “friends” and “allies” who do not betray them. It is this asset that seems to open doors for BRICS vs the G7 when it comes to many client states of the ex-USSR.
In addition, we should not forget Russia’s assistance of the secular government/nation of Dr Assad and Syria, which has long protected its many minority groups including one of the Middle East’s largest & oldest Christian communities. The fact that Syria & Russia were fighting CIA-Obama-Hillary-NATO-Saudi & co backed “ISIS” & “Al-Qaeda” (who we were told did 9/11 s/) should also be remembered by patriots.

Michigan is now the 17th state to sign on to the National Popular Vote scheme. If enough states sign on then say goodbye to elections as we know them.

The United States Constitution already anticipated this idea, and outlawed it in at least two ways:
“No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, […] enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State […]” (Art. I, Sec. 10)
“Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors […]” (Art. II, Sec. 1)
It is therefore made explicitly clear that “each State” shall decide its own affairs, and cannot cede this responsibility to the citizens of any other(s).
When the Founders of this nation chose the title, “The United States of America,” they meant it. In fact they were carefully constructing a form of Government that had never existed before.
“Article VI” seals the deal:
“This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.”
What I’m afraid of is that some day the SCOTUS will be controlled by the liberals once again, and once they get to the required number of states agreeing to this, the Court will find it constitutional. You know, like how Roberts found Obamacare constitutional because he called the mandate a tax.

In late 1943, Fuchs (codename: “Rest”; he became “Charles” in May 1944) transferred along with Peierls to Columbia University, in New York City, to work on gaseous diffusion as a means of uranium enrichment for the Manhattan Project. Although Fuchs was “an asset” of GRU in Britain, his “control” was transferred to the NKGB, the Soviet Union’s civilian intelligence organisation, when he moved to New York. He spent Christmas 1943 with Kristel and her family in Cambridge. He was contacted by Harry Gold (codename: “Raymond”), an NKGB agent in early 1944.
From August 1944, Fuchs worked in the Theoretical Physics Division at the Los Alamos Laboratory, under Hans Bethe. His chief area of expertise was the problem of imploding the fissionable core of the plutonium bomb. At one point, Fuchs did calculation work that Edward Teller had refused to do because of lack of interest. He was the author of techniques (such as the still-used Fuchs-Nordheim method) for calculating the energy of a fissile assembly that goes highly prompt critical, and his report on blast waves is still considered a classic. Fuchs was one of the many Los Alamos scientists present at the Trinity test in July 1945. In April 1946 he attended a conference at Los Alamos that discussed the possibility of a thermonuclear weapon; one month later, he filed a patent with John von Neumann, describing a method to initiate fusion in a thermonuclear weapon with an implosion trigger. Bethe considered Fuchs “one of the most valuable men in my division” and “one of the best theoretical physicists we had.”
At the request of Norris Bradbury, who had replaced Robert Oppenheimer as director of the Los Alamos Laboratory in October 1945, Fuchs stayed on at the laboratory into 1946 to help with preparations for the Operation Crossroads weapons tests. The US Atomic Energy Act of 1946 (McMahon Act) prohibited the transfer of information on nuclear research to any foreign country, including Britain, without explicit official authority, and Fuchs supplied highly classified U.S. information to nuclear scientists in Britain and to his Soviet contacts.
In January 1950, Fuchs confessed that he had passed information to the Soviets over a seven-year period beginning in 1942. A British court sentenced him to fourteen years’ imprisonment and he was subsequently stripped of his British citizenship. He was released in 1959, after serving nine years, and migrated to the German Democratic Republic (East Germany), where he was elected to the Academy of Sciences and became a member of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) central committee. He was later appointed deputy director of the Institute for Nuclear Research in Rossendorf, where he served until he retired in 1979.

Therefore, our most important “survival tactic” against this “enemy within the gates” is to fully understand and recognize exactly how he operates.
I have to agree vehemently with you here, MR – it avails no one to ‘destroy’ their opponent in a hearts/minds battle. What one must do is to ‘disabuse’ them of their delusions. The delusion itself becomes a safe harbor for an embattled mind, and the associated human being will retreat further into the delusion if not actively disabused.
The way to disabuse a delusional individual is to break the spell by asking exactly the right question at exactly the right moment. If done well, the response is immediate and instant; the ‘delusionist’ will be taken by surprise by their own mind pondering the sneak question, and the delusion will fall away, as if never there.
How do I know this? I was clinically, medically, psychotically delusional during my hospitalization several years back for a severe bacterial blood infection that went out of control, due to my intransigence towards the medical establishment. It was only reinforced during recovery from deep anesthesia adminstered during attendant open heart surgery due to the nature of that process. I was snapped out of it by a nurse, who must have been particularly adept and knowledgeable about the nature of my condition, and who came into my room one day and asked me that very one, pivotal question during a moment of semi-lucidity. I snapped out instantly, and my full recovery began at that moment.
The horror of it all was that I remember every detail of my delusions, in absolute clarity. I still hake my head today at the delicacy, fragility, capacity, and magnificence of the Human Intellect.
At some point you must confront your Id, and make peace with it.
