I know, I offered my ethanol objections at the beginning of this event, I hate the abuse of our soil for such a foolish purpose.
Soil is meant to produce food and fibers, not fuel, God gave us all the fuel we need in the form of hydrocarbons and nuclear and fusion.
Amen, even worse its net energy ‘negative’ on top of that. Plus it uses significant amounts of fresh water.

Yeah, he wobbles here and there, but he’s a man on a mission. And that mission will benefit us all in a big way. I’ve been following his politics now for 12 years. And with the possible exception of Kari Lake, haven’t seen anybody else even remotely close in terms of capability and resolve

Most of the corn would be thrown away so instead it’s add to gasoline. I don’t think it’s a problem either way and President Trump needs a big win in Iowa!
They wouldn’t grow it to throw it away, and the ethanol industry wasn’t born of a need to deal with all the corn being thrown away.
We do need to win there so I’m not freaking out about it, but I won’t pretend to like what is in terms of stewardship of earth and humanity a foolish policy.

For political expediency, we should progressively replace the ethanol demand with the demand for food.
That way no farmer is impacted by the phase-out of ethanol production.
Imagine what 200 billion of food for starving nations would mean vs 200 billion of weapons to Ukraine.
Same land, same resource, same expense.
One path destroys lives the other path saves lives.
But then saving lives is the exact opposite of what the Davos Malthusian Cult wants.
Once you get this understanding of our enemy in your head their actions make perfect sense.

Wean corn farmers off ethanol and onto feeding people.
A friend of mine who was an engineer explained how efficient petroleum is as a resource, all of it producive – from road paving to jet fuel whereas with ethanol you have a tremendous amount of waste and it does not really do the job that gasoline does plus it ultimately messes up your engine – also, it affects prices for livestock feed plus corn grown and used in food for people – another example of letting idiots mess up something!
It also creates greater pollution problems at the tailpipe, cannot be distributed via pipelines because it’s so hydrophilic, it absorbs water from the atmosphere and creates corrosion problems and can’t be used with such levels of water in it.
God isn’t making more land at a pace humans can appreciate, and we haven’t learned how to create topsoil yet, so we need to recognize what a treasure good soil is and not waste in on a resource intensive monolithic crop that isn’t economically or environmentally sound.

Might be a good position for winning the Iowa caucus but it is a net energy negative.
The solution is to phase it out while replacing the demand for corn and land with ‘food’ based demand.
Another strategy would be to get rid of the cartels taking all the profit that sit between the farmer producers (low prices) and the consumers (high prices).
Just pull up a chart of historic corn prices paid to farmers vs the consumer price of things made from corn. They should track but they don’t. There is some other expense ‘ie the cartel’ that explains the disconnect.

I’m friends with many Cubans, Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans. Consistently they are MAGA not GOP. Most are in construction in various ways. They want the American dream – to own their home, provide well for family and build their businesses. They don’t mind working (hard) to achieve that dream. GOP goals don’t line up with that.
