Sorry Dutchman, but I have to call BS on this. If you’re referring to immigrants that come here and want to become citizens then perhaps I may be persuaded. My experience with legal immigrants is much different than yours.
I have worked with thousands of legal immigrants (ie visa holders like H1, H2 ect) and my experience is they are here for one reason. Money. Their holy grail is the green card, which provides them with years of benefits.
I could expound for hours on the experiences I have had with these LEGAL patriotic immigrants as you call them. These experiences involve things like fraud, racism, theft, discrimination, a culture of corruption, and outright disdain for America and it’s citizens.
They come here first on a temporary work visa, then the pregnant wife shows up when the baby is due. The kid then becomes an American citizen based on a onerous ruling by the Supreme Court. Then comes the perks with the baby, healthcare, sometimes foodstamp debit cards ect.
When they get in positions of power they look to exclude American’s from job opportunities, especially female, if they come from a culture where women are supposed to be subservient. I have witnessed their outright hostility to women in the workplace.
I have seen corporate America turn a blind eye to all of this, to the point that immigrant holiday’s are celebrated at work while Christian holiday’s are ignored. I’ve seen workplaces put in Muslim prayer rooms and time off from work one afternoon a week to attend prayer services at the local mosque. None of these are benefits afforded any American in the workplace.
I have also been treated to the most hostile job interviews in my life with these LEGAL immigrants. When I got the job, these same LEGAL immigrants told me to my face that “American’s are fat, dumb, and lazy and that we needed these immigrants here because we’re too stupid to do such complex work.” And…that their priority in the interview process was to disqualify any American so a LEGAL (ie visa holder) immigrant could get the job.
I spent 25 years watching these LEGAL immigrants take our jobs, our tax dollars, and advantage of this country. Sorry, but I guess I haven’t had the wonderful experience you have of these patriotic LEGAL immigrants.
In my opinion all legal and illegal immigration needs to be stopped immediately.

I believe you are references the “DINO” concept?
In a “Dem” State or district, run the campaign as a Dem, but then once in office, “govern as a Republican”.
Familiar with the concept, but believe it is flawed, because it fails to recognise the problem.
There is no cute name that I can think of for it (like RINO or DINO) but what WE need to do is run ‘undercover MAGA’ Candidates; if in “Dem” State run as Dem, if in “Rep” district or State, run as typically RINO candidate, and then once in office, Govern as MAGA.
OUR problem isn’t just with Dems, it is with Reps, as well.
Anyone pursueing such a course would have to be “o.k.” with being dupliscious as h*ll, and be resigned and committed to only serving one term.
Tempting idea, but methinks unlikely.
IMHO it also focuses on elected PUBLIC officials, instead of focusing on the mf’ers that PUT the elected public officials in office, and keep them there.

When it explodes in the air above you, the BBs are directed down and to the sides, so that when they hit you, they tear off your skin and lacerate your muscle tissue. A cluster bomb is designed to maim any soldier within a certain radius from the the point the container hits the ground.
A maimed soldier requires help from his comrades who are themselves not hurt. That means that two or more guns are no longer shooting at the guys dropping the cluster bomb.
It is an unusually evil weapon. I dislike saying this; but, we used them in Vietnam.

Cowboy behavior by employees could get out of hand. If a store employee follows criminals out like that — and this one DID essentially “touch” them since he ripped the foil covering off their car’s license plate — and then got harmed, maybe seriously, maybe permanently, then since he ostensibly was acting in the course of his employment, the employer would have been on the hook for his injuries. A lot more than a few hundred dollars, if that, wholesale cost of the stolen inventory (also insurable and/or deductible to the employer.)
I get that this looting behavior is infuriating. To me too. But why didn’t this employee immediately call 911 with his phone. Why not just video from a distance.
It ultimately is up to the owner of the goods (the employer) how to handle its victimization and to figure out how to reduce the shoplifting, including, among other things, trained guards.
