We also saw some signs pushing a character with white hair named PENCE for a seat in the Indiana state legislature: he claimed to be a “Conservative,” which word the signs had in LARGE letters. Most probably a relative of the Deep-State traitor?
Mrs. Ausonius and I discussed the emphatic nature of the adjective “pure.” Apparently, the sign’s maker believes that not one speck of The Manchurian Marionette can be recycled!!! 😇
That was good to see! And then, as soon as we crossed the border, many more pro-Trump signs and American flags appeared on the Ohio side, outside of Celina.
The enthusiasm is still there, at least in small-towns and rural areas!

True story (I have told it here before) my Mama and I drove that very same route from Marion, IN to Celina, OH in the summer of 2020. At first we were counting American Flags on each of our respective sides of the car. Then we saw a couple of Trump flags and decided that for every Trump flag we would get to add two points. Just to be fun, we decided a Biden flag would deduct three points. The loser had to buy lunch in Celina. The good thing was we only came across maybe two Biden flags that entire trip; but there were a staggering number of Trump flags.
I had to buy lunch, but blamed it on having to drive and perhaps missing a couple. So she bought the ice cream cones on the way out of town.
When I got home that evening my curiosity was in full gear. I wondered how many Trump flags vs Biden flags had been sold, so I went onto Amazon and there were scores of Trump flags available and most of them had tens of thousands of reviews and some were in the hundreds of thousands. There were only a select few Biden flags available, on the other hand, and the most reviews any of the Biden flags had was in the low hundreds.
I have told this story multiple times just as solid proof the election was obviously stolen. Everyone wanted and purchased Trump flags, but very very few wanted or purchased Biden flags. And Biden got more votes than Trump?

I don’t often eat “fast food” but stopped in at Chipotle to get burritos and quesadillas. I got to experience another aspect of Joey Robbernette’s glorious economy and transitory inflation. Maybe I should say deflation because the burritos have shrunken considerably and you use to get 3 quesadillas in an order now you get two.
The math on the quesadillas is easy, a 1/3 price increase.
It is usually much more as the price for those two is normally the same price as what they used to sell the three for. The same thing they do with cereal boxes, potato chips, etc. shrinkflation.
The number of ounces per package of many items in the grocery store is being decreased. This has been going on for decades, but never like since COVID. This is hidden inflation, for sure.
Also, whereas (prior to COVID) there used to be size options for certain items, now there is only one size available.
Exactly. During COVID many items were not available. Their excuse was lack of workers. It was BS. Companies had plenty of workers to retool production lines for “repackaging”. When the products reappeared they were all less than before.

If you once got 3 quesadillas for $1, you now get 2 quesadillas for $1, that’s a 50% (not 1/3) price increase.
Three quesadillas now cost $1.50, whereas they used to cost $1. $0.50/$1 = 1/2 or 50%.
Just change the wording a ittle, and the (assumed) general idea comes through — it’s a food decrease of 1/3…heh. (Sneaky, as it does make a lot of our first impressions “see” it (intuitively) as a 1/3 price increase. We right-wingers tend to do things like that — general idea right, specifics…meh.)

The actual price on quesadillas is not important as we’re looking at price increase as a percentage.
3 quesadillas/$1 = .33 cents a piece
2 quesadillas/$1= .50 cents a piece
$.50 is actually 50% greater than $.33
If your $.33 (3 for a buck) quesadillas had risen 1/3 they would have been $.44 . One third of 33 is 11 and added together gives you that 44 number.
Math is all messed up.
The number 75 is 3/4 of 100. Yet … 100 is only 1/3 bigger than 75?????

It is. I think about that often when for example something costs 15.00 now instead of 10.00 a short while ago, the state gets retail sales tax on 15.00. It is a considerable tax hike on every item price increase.
On many items over time it’s enormous.
I went to the corner breakfast joint yesterday, which was always a bit pricey well before all this nonsense. I ordered Eggs Benedict because they were slightly busy and I thought I would be served quickly sitting at the bar on a stool rather than taking up a table. 45 minutes later, I had the most underwhelming flavorless and cold breakfast in my entire life. An untoasted English muffin with two silver dollar sized slices of country ham and cold poached eggs with what they claimed was Hollandaise all for the low, low price of $17.99 with coffee. Dining out is a thing of the past.
Restaurants have to increase the price of meals.
Charging more is one thing — but decreasing amounts and offering inferior (cold or undercooked)
food is another.
Same thing with service.
I see a decline in some restaurants while others still provide quality dining & service. I am a big tipper because I am earning a good wage.
However, inferior food or tepid service infuriates me.
LG, I have worked on and off in restaurants both chain and high end dining, bars, nightclubs, catering services and competition BBQ since 1994.
I am the last guy to get snooty with folks who handle my food. However, I am the first guy to notice when something is off. The price increases were not on the menu.
Usually this place was consistently decent which is a surprise as most eateries in this rural enclave leave something to be desired. I am a tough customer when it comes to shoddy work by the server. I finished 4 cups of coffee waiting for my food.
I saw other patrons who came in after me get their plates. My server was obviously hung over from the night before and the Adderall I suspect she took preshift to counterbalance the hangover only made things worse. I overheard her conversation with another server about leaving early to sit by the pool at her friends house.
Bottom line, I felt stupid for even wasting my money. If this is the state of the food service industry from here on in, I will be staying home.

If my server hadn’t come out with my food the minute she had, I would have paid for my coffee and left. I have never walked out before my food came, but I was damn close. As a former trainer of servers, I will tell all of y’all, NEVER send your food back! EVER! Eat it, pay your bill and don’t go back.
I have heard tales of staff spitting in the food that was returned to the kitchen.
I am beyond generous to people. If a restaurant is slammed I don’t get in a snit. Staff are moving as quickly as possible. However, shoddy service and inferior food should not be tolerated. I would leave — and/or not go back.

Also , I was not insinuating that you would be a snoot to your servers. I realize things happen during the course of a shift that are out of the servers control. I myself was victim to hungover cooks who made the same wage whether there were long ticket times or food was sent back while I wore the brunt of their underperformance by my tips being intentionally shorted by irate customers.

I thought I had covid in February 2020. I felt lousy and the world around me was screaming covid and I developed a preconceived notion and did what I’ve always done- followed the crowd to test for covid.
But when shutdowns happened things began to strike me as squirrelly. I started doing lots of research and ran into an alternative which made a whole lot more sense. Since then, I’ve done a “medical reset.” Meaning I started questioning medical stuff which my preconceived notion had always told me I should not question – just obey.
I’m better off because of it.
I got over it because I haven’t been insured since ’08. I am the master of “toughing it out”.. The next 18 months of weird lingering symptoms and total lack of smell were frightening. I haven’t trusted the medical establishment since I watched the opioid crisis unfold all around me as a legitimate chronic pain patient who could not believe what I was watching happen. I had my blood tested for “COVID” antibodies by LabCorp, which came back negative. I guess it was difficult to look for antibodies when no one had isolated an actual “COVID 19 ” virus.

I got one years ago and it was full of threats. First they would send someone to your door to conduct a live interview. there were threats that failure to complete it would result in a $5,000 fine.

Anyway, I learned a little history today and wanted to share the above with fellow Treepers.
Now off to pick up hot dogs, watermelon and other necessaries for July 4th !
I made some Boar’s Head pork and beef chili dogs a couple days ago that were dynamite. I boiled the dogs with some sliced onion for about 10 minutes while I heated the deep fryer. When the oil was hot I pulled the dogs from the water dried them off then flash fried them for 20 seconds in 350 degree oil, then onto the toasted brioche buns to be smothered with the leftover chili diced onion and shredded cheddar cheese!
Does that flash frying crisp them at all?
Yes! I could have done it a bit longer and they would be “ripper dogs” like I had in New Jersey!
We do smoked sausages (typically andouille). I assume they would act the same.
The natural casing might blow up in the fryer!
Maybe I just stick to hickory smoked action, which suits me fine.
In winter, I’ll give the boiled to fryer a swing. Sounds tasty. Although, hot dogs are good about any way because there’s enough salt in them to choke a gorilla.

To get back to the subject: I noticed on my Medicare summary statement a charge of $96 dollars paid by Medicare for a March 23, 2023 billing by Mars Lab Services Inc, in Chicago Illinois for “provision of covid-19 test, nonprescription self-administered and self-collected use, fad approved, (K1034).” I was expecting no such tests. None of my doctors had ordered such tests, and shortly afterwards a package of 8 tests appeared in my mail.
Apparently 8 tests were not enough. Medicare paid $96 to Covigen Medtox Lab Inc. in Linden NJ for a May 2, 2023 billing of “provision of covid-19 test, nonprescription self-administered and self-collected use, fad approved, (K1034).”
I now have 16 tests at Medicare’s expense for which I have no use. All of the tests came with expired dates, but with a notice that the FDA had conveniently extended the shelf-life of the expiration date.
Initially, I suspected fraud based on a previous experience (more below) and reported to an uninterested Medicare fraud division the mysterious receipt of covid tests. However the second batch of tests came with a note that said “tests are totally free, paid for by the Government,” and “please do not return.”
Free to me but not to Medicare.
Why is Medicare paying for expired covid tests to be sent to those on Medicare? Is the Biden regime using scarce Medicare funds to buy up Big Pharma’s surplus covid supplies? What else could it be? Am I going to catch Covid 16 times? How many tests will arrive on my next Medicare summary statement?

I have been receiving these tests since last Oct.
Assumed fraud, did not call or email the conveniently provided contacts since I didn’t want to communicate in any way with a scam.
As of today, I received 6 mailings of 8 tests each, with varying contact info.
Interestingly, didn’t get any statements from Medicare indicating any of these kits had been charged to Medicare UNTIL today. The statement was for the latest set of tests, and of course indicated the $96 charged to Medicare and my portion due is $0 .
Hubby has never received any of these unwanted kits.
The waste is almost incomprehensible.
Even worse, this is exactly what many of us expect and accept from our government.
While I expect you are probably asking rhetorical questions, here are some thoughts:
The government is giving out “free” covid tests because they are poison. They have the same poison as the vaccines. The government is trying to kill us. Western civilizations are being targeted because we are too difficult to control. We think and reason. Second, the government is in bed with big pharma. The tests profit big pharma. It’s a win win to send these to seniors who vote largely conservative and will hopefully (in their eyes) soon be dead.

Yes, wasteful. Possible fraud as well. But the first half of your paragraph makes little sense. I’m guessing you haven’t actually seen one of these tests used, or read the instructions.
The only part of a home covid test that makes contact with your body is a dry, sterile swab that goes in either your nostril or cheek (depends on test brand). There’s nothing coated on a dry swab. It’s just a plastic stem with a bit of plastic sponge mesh at one end. You place the used swab into a liquid, and add a small amount of the liquid onto the test card, but the liquid doesn’t go into you at all. If the gubmint wanted to kill you, it’s not a practical method for administering a poison:
If they had the same substance in the tests as in the shots, it would have to cost some approximately similar amount to manufacture and sell them to clinics. It doesn’t. The tests only cost a dollar apiece in quantity. I used to order them by the hundreds when I was still working Urgent Care. The materials and ingredients are very, very cheap. The shots cost much more, about $20 each (brand dependent).
The shots MUST be refrigerated until use, and they expire very quickly. The tests are obviously not sent through the mail refrigerated, and they remain usable for months. I’m not a chemist, but I can’t see how the same substance could possibly work with two completely opposite handling requirements – cold vs room temperature.
Finally, let’s get real. All medications involve risks, but no one dies from this type of testing. Tests aren’t always reliable, but considering what I’ve seen kids put in their mouths and up their noses, this isn’t risky at all.

So far, I have not received or been billed for any such tests! (Knock on wood!) Have been on Medicare for 18 years. Perhaps they are only doing this in certain areas where they were left with lots of extra tests?? I am in Central CA. Certainly is a dirty laundry scheme!

Eliminate such aggravants as grades, test scores, ACT requirements, etc… and replace them with essays and videos and pictures. Eliminating knowledge and replacing it with ‘feelings & emotion’.
According to EvoLLLution, professors, teachers, and academics are replaced with ‘corporate partners’, and education is now specific to what a particular corporation wants from an employee. There are no actual degrees, the learning is continuous. It is a parallel to Smart City ideologies. Or company towns that flourished from 1880 to 1935.
The focus is on AI online Learning and Technology. WHY? To Eliminate Free Will.
Yesterday when the Supreme Court reversed a previous decision on affirmative action, public divisions were once again quite angry calling for the abolition of the Supreme Court and The Constitution. In response, Harvard said they would find a way and means to avoid the SCOTUS ruling via ‘essays’. In other words, Harvard had already planned for this decision – THREE YEARS AGO. Their hissy-fit today is just for show and tell.
The purpose of EvoLLLution, an online news portal for corporations and colleges, is to modernize campuses to meet employer demands. Employer’s no longer care about GPA’s and Communication Degrees, they want specialized trained employees. They want employees whose life will be dedicated 100% to being an employee. What they don’t want is the hassle of free thinkers.
Also in preparation for the education shift, the push for AI pre-programmed means of educating children K-12 is making rampant headway. In this scenario, the role of a ‘teacher’ will be to guide students through any difficulties they have with their AI assigned trainer. Students can still go to school if they want or simply login. Students that show up at school will sit down with their computer learning kit. No other interaction is necessary unless there is a glitch.
At the university level, online AI training is preferred. At this level research centers will be provided, however, typical classrooms, lecture halls, and all the costs associated therein will be eliminated. Grades will be eliminated – AI will determine your career choice for you based on its knowledge of you – the subject student. Proficiency will be measured by Corporate America.
Agenda 2030 outlined the transformation of education years ago. CoVid was a test project for K-12 online learning. It failed miserably. Colleges were vacant, students became depressed, and dropout rates went through the roof. AI is different. EvoLLLution declares that the AI Trainer assigned to you will evolve as it gets to know your responses and reframe your tutoring to account for individual assessment. It is NOT simply an online class with pantless professors. It will be more like matching your skill level at grade five, which is what schools, do in Germany, to your next generation of learning. Dividing and sub-dividing children into various groups based on abilities.
The Biggest detriment is ‘interpersonal contact’. Today, inciting teachers in the K-12 industry to become non-teachers with porn issues, assault issues, screaming fit issues, and fire breathing plague issues is a manufactured event and outcome. The purpose of which was to hypnotize parents into the horrors of teachers so that AI friendly computers can easily make the shift with parental approval.

We saw previews for the movie Oppenheimer, from which I detected the miasma of a whitewash of a Stalinist spy.
