Are central bank digital currencies the tool that converts the world to the US Dollar? I know everyone is talking about the death of the US Dollar, but I think the shoe is on the other foot. Let’s talk about human nature.
In the late ’60s, there were about 300 manufacturers of snowmobiles. By the late ’90s, there were 3. We all understand consolidation in economic enterprises.
Every sh*thole country with a central bank is going to create a CBDC denominated in their home currency. Most, if not all, are going to go bust and leave everyone using that CBDC up the creek without a paddle. CBDC allows for foreign exchange currency trading 24 hours a day. There will be no accepted mechanism to stop the rush to the exits when the sh*thole countries go belly up. Everyone in small country CBDC will look for the exits, irrespective of the strength of their individual country’s CBDC. There will be consolidation. There will be blood.
There will be the US Dollar.

It doesn’t make any sense for a Central Bank to debase its own currency in order to replace it with a digital one – that would be asinine. It’s as stupid as Obama’s idea of minting a handful of trillion dollar coins and paying off the national debt.
The following makes more sense than CBDC, CBDC is probably a mask:
They are pushing for a weakening Dollar using The Big Lie called Modern Monetary Theory which claims any country that prints their own currency can print as much as they want to which is now being echoed by the lead Democrat on the Budget Committee as they try to push through their Communist Agenda. Their goal is to eventually monitor all financial transactions, communications and internet usage in real time to build a CCP style database to weaponize against dissenters and keep the masses in line. They want to tear down the Dollar and institute a single WORLD WIDE DIGITAL CURRENCY. They will be able to know exactly who you support politically including donations in order to establish who to eliminate from society. The one-party elite are creating models of censorship and other methods of complete control that can be tailored and implemented at a whim. It’s all so obvious. Technology based Totalitarianism.
:They can get away with a lot more using WWDC, and it also lets them position themselves in the new currency before they fully collapse the dollar. The silver lining is this all gives us time, they can’t do it over night and still protect themselves. DO NOT BUY INTO ANY GOVERNMENT SPONSERED DIGITAL CURRENCY – IF YOU DON’T, THEN THEY WON’T. And they’ll just be left with a disaster on their hands and a whole lot of pissed-off people. We’re just going to have to ride this one out – the silver lining is the Status-Quo is the dollar, THEY CAN EASILY FALL BEFORE IT DOES.
Batten down the hatches! – we’re in an all out Culture War, the winner is the guy left standing.
One additional aspect about CBDC that isn’t discussed much is the ability of banks and financial engineers to trade digital currencies 24 hours a day with minimal transaction costs. The administrative aspects of CBDCs will be exploited by financial engineers and likely lead to a faster version of the 1997 Asian financial crisis.

The scenario that you describe could very well play out in reverse. Imagine that the majority of the World’s population sides with the BRICS. The US could be forced to join the BRICS or play in a small pond on the outside of the ocean. We could end up that impoverished S***h*** country.

Will the U.S. Govt USE the “financial crises” caused by the loss of $ as World reserve, as an excuse and motivator for converting to CBDC? THATS what I foresee them trying.

Lowering the prices of the commodity complex lowers the inflation rate. A decreasing inflation rate gets governments re-elected.

I cordially disagree. Basically, all international currency exchanges are already fully electronic. Any currency(ies) can be used.
The fatal problem with the US Dollar is that the USA is literally printing many tril(!)lions of copies of it – “Rumpelstiltskin money, all” – while claiming that it is some kind of “debt” which it can “repay” by “borrowing” more. Endlessly. To every other holder of the same currency – which they(!) cannot “conjure” – this means that their “valuable” holdings turn into water and wash away.
The USA which originally established this system was the “arsenal of democracy.” Today, it can’t even manufacture its own shoes.
Commerce marches on … and if you are losing massive amounts of value by your choice of currency, you have to wise up.
Money expansion comes from the banks levering up reserves and lending out the engineered result.
Globally, everything runs on the Eurodollar. There are no reserve requirements required. The Eurodollar market is a game of musical chairs. You don’t want to be without a chair when the music stops. Hence, the US Fed prints US dollars to be used as collateral to backstop the engineered/levered financial instruments that make the world go round.
Governing the Eurodollar market is like herding cats. Raising US interest rates forces the highly levered Eurodollar maestros to pull in their horns. Things slow down. Once things break and the low hanging fruit is harvested, a shaken tree is more easily managed (in a global perspective).

Hello, I am sorry, but ‘students’ didn’t lose, the tax payers won! only whining students who took on loans to pursue (not necessarily even graduate) degrees that won’t lead to economic payback will be whining. I paid for my, my wife’s college in full (yes we took some loans that were paid ahead of due-times), fully paid for our son’s college and he has zero debt from college. I don’t feel sorry for gender studies and the like degrees when it was clear most won’t have a return on investment for the cost of college. If they pursued STEM and other (harder than gender studies, other humanities) degrees and do a good job in the market place, they’ll be able to readily payback the loans. No one should be taking out loans that they can’t payback. There are no forgiven loans. Yes, sometimes, disasters can happen and there are bankruptcy laws (though not for federal student loans in general) that gives one a second chance. Thanks.

Looks like if you don’t pay it off by a certain time , the new terms just wipe it out. Here in Georgia, the former Perimeter College ( Dekalb College prior to that)
was 50 million dollars in the hole. Georgia State, another state funded college
bought them out. On our dime. No investigations, no inquiries, no indictments.
Building and renovating spree as soon as Georgia State took them over. Again,
on our dime. Heard similar reports from Ohio: Central State University. Believe
one of the state colleges in Indiana had similar issues. Arizona had some issues
at one of it’s state colleges. Invariably, the amount quoted was 50 million in almost
every instance.
Any government that can rob Peter to pay Paul can forever rely on Paul’s support.

One of the issues that I see is that by without the forgiveness of loans,
people will start looking at the high costs of colleges, the money spent
on crapola social programs, high salaries/pensions of professors, etc.
With student loan forgiveness, the prices can keep escalating because
the people who make enough money to pay their children’s college costs
will grumble, but probably still pay.

Does that include every government employee forgiveness program? (There are many including city and county)And also the non-profit employee will also receive forgiveness of student loans. Why do the Repubs allow these programs to stand? Only the hardworking private sector employee pays back student loans.
Not sure about this, but I think it applies to non-government general forgiveness.
My impression with the government employee forgiveness program was a ‘benefit’ that was backstopped with government funding after the required time in service, something akin to a reverse GI Bill program, ie government pays off loan on recipient after completing government service to prevent grantor from taking financial losses.
I know that when I was in the military in 1980s that in addition to college funding after service, there was a program for high demand MOS personnel that had student loans where the military (US Army) would pay off if you completed your tour and was honorably discharged.
But I could be wrong.
Hello BK, The programs have been extended to all levels of Gov employment including the non-profit sector. I have been advised by student loan rep to see if I qualify for any of these programs.

Makes sense. That leads me to believe the strike down was against forgiving loans for those not employed by those entities you described, typically private for-profit companies or self employed.
I have no problems with loan forgiveness for those engaged in public service, but I completely disagree with forgiveness for those in the private sector.
That term forgiveness is really a subsidized benefit in the employment package to attract educated talent to public service akin to military service.
I have a BIG problem with it. Consider this; fauxi or Comey, McCsbe type goes to Ivy league (expensive ) University, gets a lwa or medical degree, has over $100,000 in student loan debt, goes to work in “Govt. service” for 10 years, and has their student loan debt “forgiven” i.e

Retired Magistrate here: I was just thinking about how this country got into the mess we are in. One of the ways is that we used to reward an individual on the basis of what that person actually achieved; now we award on feelings and emotion rather than what a person has actually accomplished.
Schools don’t teach critical thinking anymore; it is all an indoctrination program for progressive thinking for a utopia which will never exist.
So what can you do? If you have children or grandchildren, teach them critical thinking; they won’t learn it in school. If your child wants to go to college, make them work for a year and then possibly college if they still want to go. Let your child personally experience how much money the government takes out of that first pay check to pursue that utopia they have been told about in school. That should be a wake up call.
Of course a better suggestion would be a trade school. Around here companies are willing to train individuals a trade and pay them for the training.
If your child/grandchild wants a tech education, send them to a tech school so can learn real world skills.
Our future is with our children and grandchildren; teach them well.

Long ago my Dad told me to learn a trade before deciding to go to college. I retired at 55 from a career as a stonemason/stonecarver. My 24 year old grandson just finished his 4 year carpenter apprenticeship last month. He earned about $300,000 in those 4 years. My 22 year old grandson just graduated from a top ten University and only has $7000 in loans to pay off.
Kids can work their way through college and they can work in the trades.
When I went to grade school (the early 60s) they still taught a class called History.
And when I was in high school they still had Auto Mechanics and Building Trade classes.

Of course the three Rs have been indispensable in life, but I have to say that cheerleading and its lessons and demands have served me in ways that I could never have anticipated, without which I would never have had the professional opportunities and successes I did, whether it was in broadcasting, music or waiting tables.
College nearly put me to sleep.

I agree with you about trade schools, great option.
However, I am getting a lot peeved about the comments that student loan borrowers are somehow the bad guys and don’t want to pay the money back because they are free loaders.
Student loan borrower here. It was not something i wanted to do. I am graduating this semester with a degree in construction management. I have accepted a great position that starts in January. I am 64.
My career through the years was in retail. Every company, every single one, closed their doors. In case you have forgotten, the economy, except for a few years under President Trump has not been that good.
The last job I had lasted 1.5 years when that company declared bankruptcy. I was a furniture showroom manager when Thomasville furniture shut down.
Also understand that with every downturn the middle class suffered the most. The worse for me was 2009 and beyond. My husband lost his business and my job of 14 years was shut down as well. We lost all our savings. It was either that or the house.
I could not find a job, they all ruled me out because I did not have a degree. That’s reality. So I got one and now I have a job to look forward to.
I am shocked and dismayed that no one seems to get that bad government policies have destroyed our livelihood, our good paying jobs. They have all been shipped off to other countries.
The “system” requires a degree. Now i will be paying for that entry fee through student loan debt before I can start saving for retirement which I really don’t see coming. I will probably work until I die.
After all the job loses and upheavals no one has acknowledged the toll it took on average Americans.
You should be angry at all these corrupt politicans who have harmed people like me by destroying our economy over and over again.

“Standing” in election challenge cases, has a different meaning, written into thevlegislation ON election law, than more generally in civil actions.
In order for a claimant to have “standing” in an election challenge, they must show they have a specific, rather than only general claim of harm, just as with any civil case.
But then, at the preliminary hearing level, and (also by statute) within a short period of time after the election and with NO discovery they must be able to clearly demonstrate that IF the irregularities they are alleging are proved, that such irregularities are sufficient to have changed the outcome of the election.
I think many don’t understand many of the unique aspects of election law, that LEGISLATURES have written into the law, or that unless the legislation is UnConstitutional, the Courts have to follow the law as written.
The cheaters worked for many years, in State legislatures to get election laws written to benefit them, and as RNC and DNC were colluding on the election thefts, court challenges were effectively blocked in many ways, with this “standing” roadblock just being one.
The KL team, being MAGA rather than RNC have provided a “road map” for all future MAGA Candidates; you DO NOT wait until after the election is stolen to begin gathering evidence and writing your counts.
THATS the way you overcome the “standing” roadblock.
The KL team has already surpassed that roadblock, hence the case WILL go to SCOTUS, they can’t refuse to hear it, and simply by having the case heard, it is a victory as it permanently rebuts the rediculous false narrative that any challenging of elections “undermines democracy”.

In a related case, this one where two individuals were complaining that the student loan forgiveness plan was unlawful because it didn’t follow the proper procedures such as giving notification for people to make comments, ruled they did not have standing and the ruling explains why they did not have standing. From what I understand, the one litigant did not have a government student loan, and so had no standing, which makes sense.
By that standard I could say that, I didn’t take the vax but I was “harmed” by those who did. Including talk of killing me, threat of jail or special camp placement, forced to wear a mask that impeded my oxygen intake and excommunicated from my family and friends.

The GOP seems to be preparing to remove President Trump, not just from the primaries, but from the whole party. The pretext could be one (or several) indictment or verdict from the barrage of the lawfare attack. That would block President Trump of access to funds, voters lists, and any other tools from the party. Being a private club, they can evict any member considered unfit. The public opinion is being prepared for such an outcome at this very moment.

I live very close to a Buc-ees on I-10 in Texas and love it!! It’s the only place with ethanol free gasoline which I use in my lawn equipment. It’s $.40/gal higher than gasoline with ethanol which doesn’t make sense economically? But it has to be higher or no one would buy gas with ethanol! Buc-ees also has great beef jerky and BBQ sandwiches!! It also has clean big bathrooms! Great place to stop on a road trip!! But they are often very crowded!! Buc-cees has become an American Icon with fossil fuel and beef both which leftists hate! Don’t try the Buc-ees nuts or you’ll become addicted!!!

Re Twitter: over on Truth Social there are many twit pix to the riots in France. Looks very bad over there. Many of the twits are videos but now less people can see what is happening unless they have an account. Maybe twit has been told to control what we may see as a lack of control in France.
Maybe the same goes for truth coming out of Ukraine?

You do not need your real name, and use an alternate email account. You do have to verify through a cell phone number though. In the old days no cell phone verification was needed.
If privacy is a concern, a pre-paid burner phone and a yandex or proton e-mail works for personal information. If emergency services info is denied to those who don’t play the signup game, that’s sad but signs of the times.
I think we’re squaring off pretty well now how things are going to go when it goes kinetic. I haven’t been on social media in my nearly 30 years on the internet and anticipate no changes. That has costs. OK.
