But since this vote may have well been the last truly independent chance to right the ship, I see those who voted No as true heroes and patriots, and you know they were all being threatened. Back in January during the week-long vote for Speaker, MTG worked tirelessly to get McCarthy elected Speaker. After the Speaker vote was over, she made the media rounds to continue to smear Gaetz and the heroic 20. Made no sense to me –no reason after a fight to continue lobbing tomatoes at the other side.
During one interview in the days right after McCarthy was elected Speaker, MTG was asked if Biden was the legitimate president and she laughed and said don’t be silly, of course he is the legitimate president.
And yet on the positive side, she did a lot to raise visibility re J6 conditions at the DC jail. (Has she said anything about the recent J6 convictions and long sentences?)
And some people are very glad she is pushing for Biden’s impeachment.
But overall, it looks to me that she made a conscious decision last fall to change strategies. At first I thought her GOPe makeover was a backdoor move to get more MAGA clout in the inner circles, but now I’m not sure what she’s thinking.

In many ways, the law is already clear about this..and frankly, the texas judge let the attorney off the hook. If a junior associate assembles a wrong brief, makes not just errors, but enters misleading and inaccurate information…the the attorney who signs this brief and files it in court, is held responsible…up to misconduct, disbarment, and even fines and possibly jail if it is shown to be criminal. So there is already consequence in the law for failure to produce authentic work. This is a very high bar and is right at the core of what makes lawyers ethics very steep.

Some of these incidents are less well-known to me and it’s nice to include these in an informative book, but if the telling of any one of them is not going to turn out to be “very solid,” leave it on the cutting-room floor.
May I also suggest that you frame the book to present things from a historical perspective, generally staying away from “the present day.” What is or isn’t a conspiracy in the present day is both a matter of opinion and “too early to tell.” But, you can begin your book by framing for the reader what the term, “conspiracy,” historically is, and then to relate each story in such a way that you illustrate where the conspiracy can be shown to have occurred by that, your definition. I would also encourage you to include end-notes in each chapter and/or a bibliography at the end (maybe grouped by chapter). Yes, “teens” can appreciate and use that. And: “Here are our sources.”

It’s entirely up to you how much you want to speak of “motives” or “motivations,” but I wouldn’t emphasize that angle because that can become speculative. Don’t let the reader see the writer.
Good luck with your project. It doesn’t have to be “controversial,” although to some people it inevitably will be, but it will certainly be “awesome.” It’s a great idea for a book that needs to be written.

It makes no sense to grant a foreign-based, poorly unaccountable institution powers that contradict democratic norms and good public health policy. More so when this institution has limited expertise and a poor track record, is directed by private interests and those of authoritarian governments. This is obviously counter to what a government in a democracy is supposed to do.

Furthermore, “viruses will ‘virus.'” You can recognize when an outbreak has occurred in the world and marshal worldwide forces to try to help the victims and to prevent further spread, but you can’t prevent outbreaks from occurring. You can meaningfully help people in such ways as helping them to have access to an assured-safe water supply and proper sanitation. But there is nothing that you can do to stop viruses from “virusing,” and this planet is chock-full of them. Many of which can kill you or cause irreversible injury.
We can benefit from a WHO which organizes worldwide responses, but it cannot meaningfully accomplish its purported mission by stepping into people’s lives and acting as a totalitarian instrument of state control at any level. But there are certainly those who will try.
The WHO should be forced by World Court of the Hague to become True to their name for a change – to abandon germ theory and adhere to terrain theory = focus on facilitating HEALTH instead of promoting & perpetuating natural & man-made diseases; what a concept.

It is indeed very strange to me how earnestly – and yet, how ineptly – our present “Mainstream Media” tries to be a “government propaganda machine.” I guess they just don’t know how.
I remember a marvelous radio interview given by a person who was on the staff of Pravda during the Soviet days. “Of course we knew that what we were doing was ‘state propaganda,'” she said, “but the difference is that we did it well.” 🤡
As the interview progressed, she actually had many insightful things to say about what “journalism” often actually is, and isn’t. Spoken by someone who was there and therefore sees from that perspective. (I searched but did not find the audio link. I think it was on NPR, many years ago now.)
