Yesterday evening my state senate district of blueMA held a special Republican caucus to fill an empty seat.
My town committee’s candidate was pure outsider and pure MAGA – not polished at all but truth-telling and common-sense and willing to state her support for PDJT out loud. Our committee is mostly all behind her.
There was an opponent who is a young woman supported by a number of known RINOs in the party, plus having the support of Howie Carr who lost his mind last year when he opposed PDJT’s candidate for governor, Geoff Diehl. Everybody I know can’t understand why Howie went to the dark side. (Though I have a new suspicious cat thought on it…)
The young woman he supported had literature she had literally swiped from our candidate, claiming she was pure MAGA. But she came in swinging and slinging mud at the recently ousted (but solid) head of the state R party, as well as our candidate she was running against. The mud was all lies – our table kept muttering quietly though we mostly behaved.
I fully expected a rout by these opposing forces.
Shocker – our candidate won the caucus 65 to 10! I think she is now on the type of committee that the precinct project is all about – the ones that select the candidates for the higher offices. ☺️
Back to Howie Carr, though. He went so suddenly and weirdly anti-PDJT with the torpedoing of Geoff Diehl last year, and this is more of the same.

I was just at an extended overlay at John Wayne airport, at lunchtime … so I braved a deep-deep 30-person line at the in-airport Chik Fil A. I figured that every other trip I’ve made to Chik Fil A revealed their management was superb and smooth … I assumed the line would move quickly. It didn’t. I ended up standing in line for at least 45 minutes. The problem … there was ONE inept (black) woman at the counter taking orders … ONE. At lunchtime. Inefficiently.
Then, JUSSST as I was next in line, out of the back walked THREE new counter people. The new (black) woman who handled my order was fast, efficient, and good. So what happened to a busy Chik Fil A … AT LUNCHTIME!!! in a busy airport location? Were all these employees taking their lunch … during the lunch rush? Were these (all ethnic) workers late for work? Is the Manager simply inept?
Something was REALLY wrong with this experience. Very unlike my prior experiences at Chik Fil A. Does it relate to hiring DEI employees? Seems I’ve read that punctuality and efficiency are “white cultural constructs” and no black man should be made to obey them. IDK … but it has soured me on Chik Fil A. I’ll just fry up my own chicken

As a result of not paying interest and not living beyond my means (because of credit) and minimum.payout for insurance coverage, i can (somewhat) self-insure.
Not bragging, or rubbing your nose in it, I know i have had this face to face conversation with some, and it pisses them off.

Why do you associate defeating them with us becoming inhumane?
A soldier in battle as well as father defending his family or a woman defending her child or freedom-loves defending themselves from tyrants do not become inhumane when they injure or even kill the enemy. Likewise there may become necessary acts such as lying or cheating to carry out subterfuge of the enemy.
At some point, as the general surveills the enemy and the battle before him or her, decisions are made to protect his troops and put them on the best path to winning against the evil they face.
So I do not equate strategic decisions to win both the battle and the war with becoming inhumane.
