Just finished watching the CNN ‘Interview’ re-run. Pres; Trump held his own with no problem. The ‘interviewer’ was a child who kept repeating the same lies over and over again. The audience loved Pres. Trump. I’ve read that AOC was going ‘bananas’. They really thought they’d trip him up. I watched less than a minute of the CNN follow-up and the 1st thing out of their mouths were false accusations that Pres. Trump lied. It’s hard to say what the ‘take’ will be from people who are far from up-to-date on things and who usually watch CNN and listen to their lies. If you can catch a vid of it all, I recommend it.
He apparently has a lot of patience with morons.

Have to update prior comments on the debt ceiling/default question .
Just watched the Townhall all the way through and saw a lot more than what’s been reported (no surprise). President Trump’s response to the default question reminded me of 2015 when he was the only one willing to speak truth about illegal immigration.
This was the first time I’ve heard anyone have the courage to say that without major spending cuts a default is coming anyway, so IF the Dems won’t agree to cuts, let the default happen now. Boom.
People understand that concept in their own lives If the average person needs to borrow money in order to pay their credit card bill, at some point borrowing to pay debt runs out of runway.
President Trump’s response effectively took aim at the way Dems and GOPe’s have hyped fear of default as a political cudgel. They’ve tried to frame the situation as if the only way to pay the interest on the debt is to borrow more (raise the ceiling) vs reducing discretionary spending.
He also spoke to the hyped fear by saying if default happened, it might or might not be as bad as people have been saying.
President Trump has the courage to say what others fear to say, to speak truth. I hope McCarthy can hold the line on this.
I believe they will try to assassinate him rather than take the risk he will win the next election.
