I think that Trump should very vocally announce that the GOP primary debates are not for who goes up against the Democrat, but who goes against him. Using the good ole Trump braggidociousness.

The “NPV” idea is unconstitutional on its face. Not only is it an “interstate compact,” as Soap Lady points out above, but it violates the provision that the People of the Several States elect the President and their respective representatives in Congress. The voters of tiny Rhode Island cannot be disenfranchised by the vastly populous California.
For all the ballyhoo about “NPV,” it cannot legally be done.

I don’t know where that “we have to violate it” is coming from. Article V specifies how Amendments can be proposed, and one of these is “by the States themselves.” The proposals must still then be ratified by two-thirds of the States, no matter how the proposals came to be written.
There’s nothing “underhanded” or “dangerous” about a Convention, and as for myself I’m quite surprised that we have not already held many of them, indeed routinely. I think that the Amendments crafted by a Convention are likely to be much better and well-thought-out.
New Hampshire is a state with a 90% White Christian population and it can’t elect a Republican President or even a Senator. What do think Illinois, Minnesota California, Oregon and Washington are going to do with a Constitutional Convention, Mike?

State Legislatures do not have the authority to select delegates (“commissioners”) to an Article V convention nor do they have the authority to make state bills, with rules and penalties for delegates if they do not follow the state legislature’s instructions.
(e.g. in NC the Bills sets up a CoS commission and makes it a felony for any legislator who opposes the Commission’s decisions on the US Constitution)
The convention delegates represent the sovereign authority of The People who are superior to the Congress and to the state legislatures. The delegates are answerable solely to The People who created the state legislatures.
Changing the language: An Article V convention is not a “convention of the states” which claims to give authority to the state legislatures to run the convention. And neither is it an “interstate” convention, an ordinary multi-state meeting that addresses a variety of issues of mutual concern like a border dispute or prohibiting waste being discharged into a shared river! An Article V convention is a government-making assembly that can “alter or abolish” its current form of government as stated in the organic law of paragraph two of the Declaration of Independence. The convention delegates represent the sovereign authority of the People, which is superior to the state legislatures (and to Congress).
Article V is silent on who would select the delegates to an Article V convention or how the votes for proposed amendments will be counted. Convention of States lobbyists and Sponsors claim that the state legislators will be in charge of the convention and that Congress only “calls” it. But, over the years, Members of Congress have indicated that they believe Congress will organize the convention.

You are woefully uninformed about the Article V. Please read Phyllis Schlafly’s brilliant writing about the dangers inherent in the Article V Convention. Also read the writings of Publius Huldah. Later in his career, Justice Scalia publicly stated that the Convention would put our Constitution at risk.

The encouraging news is that so far this year the Convention of States has been defeated in every state they have tried to get it passed. As soon as legislators are fully informed they want no part of it.
When Nevada rescinded their call for a convention they wrote in the record, “we were induced by fraud” to believe this this was a safe process; it is not.
So, at this time, there are still 19 states on the books calling for a convention. They need 34.
This is why I can’t quite take anything Mark Levin says with total confidence, as he has been pushing this.
Levin is financially tied to GOPe. He was instrumental in pointing out the Constitutional intent of the Natural Born Citizen requirement when Obama ran in 2008. Then he did a 180 reversal to deny that Ted Cruz also was not a Natural Born Citizen

Notice that an “Article V Convention” is only a mechanism to propose Amendments. Two-thirds of the several States must then vote to ratify them, as is the case for any Amendment. The Convention is merely a way to put forth proposals that Congress never will, including term limits and fiscal constraints.
I’m quite surprised that we do not hold them routinely. In more than two hundred years, there are only a small number of Amendments.
Trivia: The latest Amendment to be ratified is line #2 on the Bill of Rights document, which actually proposed twelve Amendments. Since it specified no time-limit for adoption, it remained available and lately it was approved.
In principle, but that is not what is going forward in the states. “Convention of States” is madeup term and is not what is proposed in Article V. See my comment above.

Just as the framers changed the ratification process when they gave us a new Constitution in place of the Articles of Confederation, the COS has free rein to alter our ratification process. I find it enlightening when COS advocates give all these assurances to ask them to show me where it is written in Article V that the guardrails guarantee anything. It is not there. There are two ways designated in Article V to amend our US Constitution, the one we have used for almost 250 years and the Constitutional Convention. The first does not. Many brilliant Founding Fathers warned of the recklessness of the second way. Please read the history and do not just accept the snake oil being sold by Mark Meckler and Michael Farris.

This was on the local news this morning here in Nevada, a Democrat legislator has submitted to the Nevada legislature to vote to join in on this overthrow of our constitutional republic using the story line that people no longer trust the electoral college system because of what happened in the last two national elections, 2016 (when the vote was ‘stolen’ from Hillary) and 2020 (when it was ‘almost stolen’ by Trump) –
these local newscasters are as all-in as the national ones are. And sadly Nevada now has enough California Democrats that moved here over the last decade that such a change just might pass in the next general election.

I recall that above author stated somewhere that this has been in the works for a very long time and that multiple replacement Constitutions have been written by various groups and that we aren’t going to like any of them.
It’s above me to argue the points but my opinion is that the Constitution isn’t what is broken.

The first article is about which jobs will be replaced by AI. Note that most of those jobs are information management. The second article is about bad actors using ai, I don’t know, like training it to espouse tranny bs and like? I merely speculate.
Nothing, I mean, nothing replaces human creativity. If a job is repetitive then job is will gone. If the job needs substantive education and requires a creative application of your knowledge then you job will not go away. This is a truism and AI does not change this fact.
IBM replaces 6000 workers in HR. What were they doing? Data entry? Low level assistance? They will not tell you. That is left out of the article. And, I believe that it is simply a narrative to scare you. Those jobs are probably being eliminated anyways since IBM has been reducing positions by losing market share to everyone. If you have less workers then you need less HR. So, spin it like AI replaces them.
Note that it is information management job being promoted as replaceable. Sounds like they are gunning to replace these jobs by AI so that they can control it. It is like our government gave the printing of money to the Fed reserve so that they claim that they have no control. An utter lie. The politicians gave that power to fed rev so that it is outside of government accountability and the pol’s still control. Sneaky bastards! Lulu, decades ago I spent several days there, went to the museums and national monuments. Walked around so much that huge blisters erupted out on my feet. But I kept going, floating on the blisters, until I could hardly walk.
The tourist areas were great. But then I wandered out of them…oops, shock, surprise. Outside of the tourist areas, most of DC was (and still is) a ****hole. For example, there was a pothole on a road, it was so big and deep it could have easily swallowed an entire car (saw the pothole from the sidewalk). The lane had not been blocked off. No warning signs. No police cars flashing their lights to help keep drivers away from the pothole.
Then 2 questions burst into my mind- Why does the capital of the richest and strongest nation on the planet look like a ****hole? Why?
Back then I was not as deeply into politics as I am now so I did not know the answers. But I do now. Most of the population of DC are stupid, corrupt, pro criminal demonrats who vote for demonrat politicians. They have controlled DC for a long time. That is why most of DC, outside of the tourist areas, has been a ****hole for a long time.

That is how the skids are greased for de Santis.
