Disappointed watching NewsMax last night, and Eric Bolling. Since Tucker has been out of the prime slot I’ve tuned into EB to get some conservative views.
Last night he had a few panelists on and one mentioned something about the Uni-party. EB told her “We” don’t talk about that and changed the subject, then went to another panelist. I know NewsMax is not the best source to go to, but at this time I still have cable and appear to have another channel to avoid. I don’t watch any certain channel all the time, I pick and choose what to watch. Figure I’ll get scolded for not “cutting the cord”, but this is not about having cable tv to watch, it’s about the choices are few and disappearing.
Those who spoke the truth were either gagged or removed from network tv. You’re looking for truth in all the wrong places.

I haven’t had cable for over 30 years and am overloaded with awareness of what’s going on–the garbage that our domestic enemies are implementing, political figures and their nonsense in the hundreds, insightful information re worldwide events….there’s no way I can make effective use of what I “know”, as it is.
At this point, if somebody installed cable in my house when I wasn’t looking I would either have to physically cut the cable or throw a brick through the TV.

Easy to say just use the internet but that deceases the amount by a lot who can see and hear the information we need out there.This is a tool of communication we need to make more use of and instead we are being cut off from it.
Tucker had a huge following and even the casual viewer knew he was on and could access him daily and easily with a click of the remote. Now, he’s effectively silenced. For the time being anyway. Even if he comes back, he needs a cable or msm outlet to reach his viewers again. Bits and pieces on blogs or Twitter just won’t be enough to get to the majority of people.
I firmly believe and always have, that If we do not have major forms of communicating the MAGA policies and candidates to the voters, it could take and has taken, a big toll on the amount of votes cast for PDJT and other MAGAs. We need news outlets, as many as possible, to bring the goods daily and 24/7 to the people.
Such a wide scale form of getting out the truth will never be found in broadcast or print media. It is false hope to look there for it.

Internet and cable services were somewhat limited for me until I was able to connect to Starlink a few months ago.
I now have a superior internet service and I’m still searching through all of the podcasts and streaming services to make up my video/TV menu. At this point, I’m less expensive than the cable service and I listen to the propaganda of my choosing.

I do the same with cable, as well as some internet. I use common sense and filter. I’m not asking anyone to trust me on anything, there are some programs I just like to watch. If one chooses not to have cable, it doesn’t affect me. It shouldn’t affect anyone if I choose to have it though.

I will tell you who gives news that is not regurgitated all evening and that is Greta Susteren, although a lot of her reporting is on Ukraine. I think she comes on at midnight CDT if I can stay awake that long.

Yes, it is about cutting cable. Yes, it is about boycotting every woke company that you possibly can. Yes, it is about voting with your dollars. The choices you make may seem inconsequential but think about your choices times millions. Who says that some “ratings panel” gets to decide what we the public should or should not watch or buy? We, the consumer, are the ratings panel. With enough support, we can teach these woke companies to make their product and stop trying to force their politics and philosophies on us. What better examples than Fox and Bud Light. Your choices times a millions will win the day for all of us.
As I stated above, then where will you go to get information? YouTube, Twitter, TikTok? Giving up one for another doesn’t seem to make a difference. Giving up everything to sit in a dark room with the lights out is not how I want to live. One has to get information from somewhere, the choice is yours, and mine.
You do not have to have cable tv to get news. You can stream OAN News, you can read Epoch Times and you can read this website.
Convince your friends to do the same, and slowly cable tv will die a slow death.

I only have the option of satellite internet. Capped at 30GB/month. Streaming for an hour(average)is 1GB. If I use the 30GB before the end of the month, waaay slow or no internet until next month. I like to be able to have the internet when I want it. Hot spots, unlimited phone data, etc. end up being the same $ in the end.
Being tech illiterate doesn’t help to find a way around this problem. My grandmother, who lives with me, watches TV all her waking hours. NO NEWS though. I changed to the “bare bones” package. Lost the History, UPTV, Nat Geo channels with this package. Our favored channels.
Direct TV and DISH both cancelled OAN. That was our go to news. I remember when OAN just started, they took NO advertising. They had little history snippets in between programming. It was great!
I bought all 9 seasons of Little House on the Prairie on DVD for Grandmom. When she passes, I WILL be cutting the cord!
I don’t know how else to get rid of the TV until then. BTW- I could forever without TV if it were up to me. I never even turn it on. Talk radio and here is my main source of news.
Actually, watching today’s cable is like that and you can sit in the dark for free. Why pay for and watch something that is skewed. What puts most people off is the time and effort it takes to sift through the information available and make an informed decision on your own. We have become lazy and spoiled by watching “favorites” and accepting them as gospel. Cable has made willing information zombies out of us all. We think ourselves too busy to ferret out the truth so we look for a composite that cable pretends to offer us. The cable companies know this and capitalize on it. The only way to defeat them is to ignore them and their propaganda completely. We have great power but many of us lack the will to use it. Not only should we boycott fake news but also anyone that advertises with them. It will be a tough job and will make life a lot harder for a time. But the alternative is unspeakably horrible. Imagine a day when companies again try to convince us how good their product is instead of pushing their political and social ideologies down our throats. As it was once it can be again.

She has come clean. With Trump. Spent some time with him at Mar a Lago. She came to him with hat in hand. According to her account, Trump was gracious and wonderful. They smoothed things out. A brilliant move on her part by acknowledging Trump’s significance and making peace with him. She’s moved on from her role at FOX in 2016. She’s now in a different state of mind, hosting many truthful guests. She and her high quality programming deserve a second chance.
If she tells me the sun is definitely rising in the east tomorrow, I’ll be up very early to see where it’s really coming up. She showed her core in that debate and has never said she was wrong to do what she did. She was essentially a snotty head cheerleader that night, and as far as I’m concerned, that’s still who she is.

You probably can get Warroom on your computer without a Roku device. It is on 7:00am to 9:00 am Pacific Time and again at 2:00 am.

Several years ago, we cut the cord and bought Rokus for each of our screens. Have never looked back and get all the access to whatever channels we want using apps (some free, some purchased) as you suggest.
Cut our monthly costs by a couple hundred dollars and didn’t notice any difference.

A quick story about the border from a police officer friend of mine in a major Maryland area. This showed my total ignorance of more than what I/we might hear about the border/illegal immigration. Very quick antidote.
He was a community guy. He walked streets, went into areas and established relationships. A El Salvadorian illegal tow truck driver, he had an association with, wanted to talk to him. Seems his father was in the hands of the cartel because they knew he had a son in the US and was ransoming him, the father to the son, for him to get into the states. The son, paid over 12,000 to the cartel to get his father. My buddy did his best to help. Called every alphabet agency he could think of. What could you do? The son was illegal to begin with. As of yesterday, he is pretty sure the father has not made his way into the states. The son said it is a common thing by cartels to do this to families.
I never heard of it. I though the smart people here would like to hear the story.

Ever wonder why Immigration and Naturalization Service Officer (INS) was changed to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and then to Homeland Security Investigator (HSI)? I know agents who were hired as (INS) agents trained to investigate illegal immigration and retired after 20+ years as HSI agents barred from investigating illegals. They were as unhappy as the rest of us.

I have a story from border patrol about “rent-a-kids” that they take back and forth. They busted the “father”, when he didn’t know the kid’s name, but the kid did.
According to most stories, it costs $12K-$20K(depending on distance) to be guided into the US, regardless if it’s by foot, in a trunk, multiple trunks, blindfolded in basements, trucks, mini submarines, etc…but I’m not sure about ransom charges.
They did rent-a-kid to receive welfare services too.

For less than $500 we fixed up an 80cc 4-wheeler. Our grandkids are on it till we drag ’em off it when it gets dark. When the weather is warm we take them out on the lake in a old motor boat. I’m looking for a small dirtbike for less than the cost those light sabres.
Recommend getting helmets for the dirt bike riders! My cousin has permanent brain damage from a dirt bike accident. That “dirt” is HARD!
They are learning about risk and safety too. All in all I’d be far more concerned if they were at Disney or public school.
Those children have their entire lives ahead of them to seek entertainment in the rest of the world.
You are allowing them to enjoy their childhood with home and family.
I always loved Motocrossing. IMO dirt bikes are safer than quad’s. Helmets are a must, as Kudzu has said. Some other added protection for face/hands/elbows/knees would also be helpful. Fun fun fun.

That is what our family does for vacations.

I doubt our sons will ever take their sons there.
Fishing, fixing up the cottage and the great outdoors ( which we do have in British Columbia) and most of it is free.

Like a world war, lockdowns and COVID were a shared, simultaneously international experience.
This shared global pain will inform future decision-making patterns and we need to peel back the layers. Chief among those was a metaphysical presupposition utilized to justify lockdowns – scientific determinism. This supposition explained why we freely closed schools and businesses, violated human rights, ended freedom, diminished religious faith, and destroyed the First World. Driven by hysteria, governments and the media compelled us to look at our entire society through the lens of materialistic scientific determinism to enable the worst peacetime public policy decision in democratic history. We must remove what we were forced to believe to justify lockdowns and COVID law to rescue our future.

I very recently finished listen to, for the second time, the audio book “A Man Called Thursday” by G. K. Chesterton. With the second listening I picked up more from this book. So much of the story seems like it was written for what’s taking place today.

Whither Ukraine’s counteroffensive?
The month of May has arrived but without the long-awaited Ukrainian “counteroffensive”. The western media is speculating that it may come by late May. There is also the spin that Kiev is judicious to “buy time.”
The chances of Ukraine making some sort of “breakthrough” in the 950-km long Russian frontline cannot be ruled out but a Russian counteroffensive is all but certain to follow. An open-ended war will not suit Western powers.
Last week, NATO’s top commander, US Army General Christopher Cavoli stated that the Russian army operating in Ukraine is larger than when the Kremlin launched its special military operation and the Ukrainians “have to be better than the Russian force they will face” and decide when and where they will strike.
Cavoli said Russia has strategic depth in manpower and has only lost one warship and about 80 fighters and tactical bombers in an air fleet numbering about 1,000 so far. The general gently contradicted Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin and Chief of General Staff Gen. Mark Milley who have been propagating that Russia is on the brink of defeat.

These are the days of grasping for excuses. In sector after sector, leaders who gave us lockdowns and all that followed are trying to account for their actions, not apologizing of course but admitting that, in the classic formulation, mistakes were made. That said, they all agree on the core point. The government had to take big steps to deal with the pandemic.
A book just released from the original lockdown gangsters (about which I will write more later), a book celebrated by the Washington Post as the authoritative account, puts it this way:
Excusable is the new watchword, and Anthony Fauci has picked it up. In a recent interview, he admits that many things went wrong but adds: “I don’t think anybody would argue with the fact that you had to shut down.”
Then he adds what he clearly considers the key talking point. We know because he has said this is in several interviews. He says that the obvious disaster of freezer trucks at hospitals signaled and proved the desperate need for lockdowns.
Notice too how CNN had a terrifying graphic ready to run alongside his comments. This still is particularly evocative with the Statue of Liberty in the background, not that anyone would suggest that this was staged (he said with a nudge).

So the excuse that we had to lock down because of freezer trucks does not hold water. The lockdown edict was issued on March 16, 2020, following the declaration of emergency on March 13, three days after Trump’s advisers convinced him to issue the lockdown.
