While de-incentivizing homelessness is an important step, I’d kind of like to see a plan to help the homeless with the mental health issues so many of them suffer from. Deal with those and it would help a lot. I think its a complex issue that requires a multi-pronged approach and early intervention.
I don’t want the crazy guy living under the overpass camping out on my front yard, but I’m not sure imprisoning him is my preferred solution either.
It is a mis-conception that many homeless people ONLY suffer from mental illness. There are very few who don’t have many other problems – alcoholism, drug abuse, criminal history.
But we also have a family problem. In the past, if you had a mentally ill member of the family, the family members made sure they had psychiatric and counseling help, took their medications, had a role in the family, held a job, were institutionalized during high stress episodes, or helped into small group homes, etc.

The mental health industry wants to call it a “mental health problem” because, like the MIC and Big Pharma, they can suck at the teat of the taxpayer indefinitely because the “therapies” can go on without end and they can prescribe tons of mental health drugs and make a killing.
It’s drug addiction plain and simple and they need to cut off the drugs and get them a job.
These cities provide clean needles, free drugs which guarantee the homeless stay lock into their own societal cage. These cities could clean up this problem reasonably easy but they don’t want to. It’s like the southern border problem. Just ignore it.

In some cases their monthly income is more than enough to pay for low income rent but they don’t want the responsibility of a bill. The ones who are in it for drugs can get fentanyl for a dollar. Don’t give panhandlers money. Give them a sandwich and watch them sneer at you.
It’s crazy but these idiotic cities are encouraging this and any “programs” are just more money laundering.

I disagree that he dropped the ball. I think what he did show is all he needed to show to prove that the J6 committee lied.
The showing of 44,000 hours of tape, without facial recognition (which he was not allowed to have) and indicating people who were Fed agents (which he couldn’t do without facial recognition and identification programs) would be pretty useless. So, his role in showing the tapes was limited and what he could do was limited.
Additionally, we simply aren’t privy to the pressure and threats involved.

I’m not sure what you mean, “not allowed” to have facial recognition. That’ s a software process applied to an image or video stream, so if he has the video stream he can find someone with the software. What he may not have is the sample faces of all of the federal employees present in the video for comparison, but he could certainly use facial recognition software against the video. It would track distinct faces within the crowd through time so you could track movements and spot coorddination. You might also be able to find large onlne sources of faces (social media) to compare against for matches.

I posted this late afternoon yesterday. I found it so interesting I am posting it again for Morning Treepers.
I was searching on Amazon Prime and stumbled on a documentary about UFOs. I thought it was pretty credible because of the documents and sources of information presented. Not the typical “What If”, “Could it be” UFO stuff.
The name of the documentary is: “Unacknowledged-An Expose Of The Worlds Greatest Secret”
The documentary covered, of course, UFO information, but more important the coverup of information by our government, CIA, FBI, Scientists, politicians, media. It showed how our government used misinformation and the media to hide a lot of stuff about UFOs.
Anyway, I thought it was a very interesting documentary fully realizing it could be loaded with manufactured stuff, but who knows.

Just reading the comments and was somewhat surprised the topic vectored into religious beliefs. I don’t have a clue where any possible aliens came from or if they really exist at all.
I never thought what was discussed had any religious implications.
The documentary I mentioned is not just about showing evidence that they do indeed exist, but, more importantly, how our government is ruthlessly covering up information about UFOs. The degree that our government is taking to hide information, if true, is scary.

Air Force base in document leaks case loses intel mission

The Air Force is investigating how a lone airman could access and distribute possibly hundreds of highly classified documents, and in the meantime has taken away the intelligence mission from the base where the leaks took place, Air Force leaders said Tuesday.
The leaks have raised questions as to how a single airman could have removed so many documents without being detected, why there were not safety checks in place and how the documents could have lingered online undetected for months.
“How could this guardsman take this information and distribute it electronically for weeks, if not months, and nobody knew about it?” Democratic Sen. Jon Tester of Montana asked the Air Force leaders testifying before a Senate defense appropriations subcommittee.
These are questions the Air Force is asking, too. For top secret information across the military, there’s supposed to be accountable control officers who are responsible for recording active top secret documents and ensuring they have been either properly secured or disposed of, such as through a shredder or by burning them.
[That paragraph shows an astounding ignorance, probably just by the author of the article, about how such materials are handled these days. It is done electronically via two secure, encrypted DOD networks, one for Secret and below, the other for Top Secret and above. THE PROPER QUESTION should be, “How did someone who had NO NEED TO KNOW the information in these documents, that being one of the two ABSOLUTE requirements for access, the other being a proper level security clearance, even have access to them?”]
In addition, the Air Force is conducting a service-wide review of how each command handles classified information, Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. C.Q. Brown told members of subcommittee.
The Air Force’s own reviews are on top of a military-wide review directed on Monday by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. Austin has ordered that all military facilities that handle classified information report to him within 45 days on how they access, share, store and destroy the nation’s secrets following the leaks.
And what do these leakers ever accomplish? Exposing that our government lies to us? Sure, but no s***, Sherlock? Knock me over with a feather. A change to policy? NOPE! So, all they ever accomplish is damage to “our side.”
The “great hero” Snowden? The vast, VAST majority of the HUGE amount he revealed had ABSOLUETLY NOTHING TO DO with NSA spying on Americans. It was an incredible, multi-billion gift to our adversaries.

I think that the actual answer is obvious: “he didn’t do it – he couldn’t have.” Maybe he’s just a stooge and a patsy, but I doubt even that. Someone else either obtained those documents, or fabricated them, or both. (Most likely: “both.”) Someone else probably released them.
Let’s start by looking at the access logs in the document management systems where all such things are stored. Let’s also see how many of these documents are actually there, and how many are fake.

Couple of data points.
The guy was in the MA Nat Guard training one weekend a month. What does a green behind the ears weekend warrior have to do with secret documents that were “supposedly” prepared for the Joint Chiefs?
Hanscom is a teeny, teeny AFB, doing AWACS work and tons of liaising with Harvard. Not sure if their mission has changed. I am not seeing a connection at all between Hanscom and a PowerPoint presentation to the JC. Also not seeing how a weekend warrior would be involved in this unless he had unbelievable connections with the Pentagon’s top floor.
It’s real difficult to connect any dots if you spend minimal time thinking about this and I am not that smart.
I used to go to Hanscom fairly regularly around 15 years ago.

The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) “strongest-ever” vehicle emissions standards designed to drive mass adoption of electric cars within a decade will increase the United States’ dependence on China, experts warn.
“It benefits the Chinese Communist Party because they control the critical minerals supply chain that is going to be necessary to build out the batteries for those electric vehicles,” said Mandy Gunasekara, director of the Center for Energy and Conservation at Independent Women’s Forum, a conservative think tank, in an April 17 interview with The Epoch Times.
“This is industrial suicide,” said James Kennedy, a U.S. mine owner and rare earths expert, in an April 17 interview with The Epoch Times.
“By design, their goal is to wipe out, to destroy, to effectively terminate the massive economic investment that the auto companies have made in the internal combustion engine,” he said.

Great! I just saw a pop up article from the propagandists at USA Today saying PVC water piping may be hazardous to our health as a “possible carcinogen and endocrine blocker” Apparently the EPA doesn’t have much to say about it. I tried to link the article but it didn’t happen.
Not many people have pressurized pvc lines feeding water to their homes as PVC doesn’t have great burst strength. This is why PEX leap frogged PVC from copper. Beijing supports European efforts to kickstart peace talks on Ukraine and eventually create a balanced and sustainable security framework for the continent, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin has said.
Negotiations should be based on Europe’s “fundamental long-term interests” and should take into account the “legitimate concerns of all parties,” the Chinese official said during a daily media briefing on Wednesday.
Wang was commenting on a reported attempt by French President Emmanuel Macron to enlist Chinese assistance to de-escalate the conflict.
