How was Jesus Like a Worm? What’s the Crimson (or Scarlet) Worm? A Remez In Psalm 22?
I’ve seen this before, but many years ago. I was reminded about it when Jack Gibbs talked about it in one of his messages. Since this is that time of the year that we remember Christ’s Crucifixion/ Resurrection, I though I would share it, as some may not have ever heard about this.

Psalm 22 is known as one of the three Shepherd Psalms (Read: Following the Good, Great, and Chief Shepherd, Psalms 22, 23, and 24). This psalm is also prophetic because it gives a “picture” of the cross from the perspective of our Good Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ. In great detail, this psalm describes the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus that would take place 1,000 years after the psalm was penned by David.
On the cross, Jesus quoted Psalm 22 when He cried out, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Mat 27:46, Mark 15:34; Read: Was Jesus Forsaken by His Father?). And for those standing at the foot of the cross, His words should have evoked the words of this psalm in their minds. Had they remembered David’s words, they could have seen and understood what was happening before their eyes. And they could have remembered the promise of hope in this psalm’s closing words.
A Remez in Psalm 22?
In Jewish hermeneutics (interpretation of Scripture), a remez is a hidden message or a deeper meaning. It’s said to be a “treasure” that is found below the surface of, or behind, the words. (See the list below of many remezes in the Bible.)
There’s an interesting remez in Psalm 22:6. This psalm is prophetic of the cross of Jesus. And in verse six, it says, “But I am a worm, and no man…” Jesus was certainly a man on the cross. So what did the psalmist mean when he wrote, “But I am a worm?”
The Worm in Psalm 22:6
The common Hebrew word for “worm” is “rimmah,” and it is defined as a maggot or a worm. However, in Psalm 22:6, the word for “worm” is “towla”’ or “tola’ath”.
Psa 22:6 But I am a worm [towla or tola’ath], and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
The Hebrew word “towla” or “”tola’ath”is used 43 times in the Old Testament — mostly as a color but sometimes in reference to man (eg. Job 25:6, Isa 31:14, 66:24).
Strong’s Dictionary defines this word as “a maggot (as voracious); the crimson-grub but used only (in this connection) of the color from it, and cloths dyed therewith:–crimson, scarlet, worm.”
So the word “tola’ath” or “towla” in Psalm 22:6 denotes not only a worm but also identifies it as a crimson or scarlet worm common to the Middle East and predominantly in Israel. It should be noted that the colors crimson and scarlet are very deep, blackish-red, which is the color of blood. And in this crimson worm, we find a hidden meaning of biblical significance.
The Life Cycle of the Crimson Worm
The Crimson Worm (scientific name: coccus ilicis or kermes ilicis) looks more like a grub than a worm. In the lifecycle of this worm is where the remez is found. And it points to the work of Jesus on the cross.
When the female crimson worm is ready to lay her eggs, which happens only once in her life, she climbs up a tree or fence and attaches herself to it. With her body attached to the wooden tree, a hard crimson shell forms. It is a shell so hard and so secured to the wood that it can only be removed by tearing apart the body, which would kill the worm.
The female worm lays her eggs under her body, under the protective shell. When the larvae hatch, they remain under the mother’s protective shell so the baby worms can feed on the living body of the mother worm for three days. After three days, the mother worm dies, and her body excretes a crimson or scarlet dye that stains the wood to which she is attached and her baby worms. The baby worms remain crimson-colored for their entire lives. Thereby, they are identified as crimson worms.
On day four, the tail of the mother worm pulls up into her head, forming a heart-shaped body that is no longer crimson but has turned into a snow-white wax that looks like a patch of wool on the tree or fence. It then begins to flake off and drop to the ground looking like snow.
Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet [shaniy – root word of tola’ath], they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson [tola’ath], they shall be as wool.
The Body of the Tola’ath
In biblical times, the red dye excreted from the Crimson Worm was used in the High Priest’s robe and probably for red dye used on ram’s skins to create the covering of the Tabernacle in the wilderness (Ex 26:1, 28:5). Uses of this red dye continue today. While still red and attached to the tree, the worm’s body and shell are scraped off and used to make what is called “Royal Red Dye.” The waxy material is used to make high-quality shellac, used in the Middle East as a wood preserver. And the remains of the Crimson Worm are also used in medicines that help regulate the human heart.
What Does Psalm 22 Mean: “I am a Worm”
Was Jesus a “Crimson Worm” on the cross? In typology, yes!
Psa 22:6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
Isa 1:18 … though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
A Little Red Worm
In expounding on Psalm 22:6 (“But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people”), Charles Spurgeon wrote:
“There is a little red worm which seems to be nothing else but blood when it is crushed. It seems all gone except a blood-stain. And the Savior, in the deep humiliation of His spirit, compares Himself to that little red worm. How true it is that ‘He made Himself of no reputation’ for our sakes! He emptied Himself of all His Glory, and if there is any glory natural to manhood, He emptied Himself even of that! Not only the glories of His Godhead, but also the honors of His Manhood He laid aside that it might be seen that ‘though He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor.’”
Jesus became poor. And in typology, having the sins of the world upon Himself, Jesus became like a worm, like a lowly crimson worm, hanging on a tree. (Job 25:6 and Isa 41:14 reveal the typology of sinful man as a worm.)
Nature Declares the Glory of God
Look around and see all the whispers of Jesus. From the beauty of God’s creation — the sun, the moon, the stars, the land, the seas, the animals, and especially mankind — everything testifies of our amazing God. In the spring, we see new life emerging, and in the summer, we feel the sun’s warmth. In the fall, the colors of God’s “paintbrush” are vivid, and in the winter, the world rests in a blanket of white. All this is the lifecycle of nature. And all is a gift from God.

Jesus refused the gall-laced wine concoction after He tasted it and realized what it was.
Wine mixed with myrrh or bitter herbs created a potion that dulled the sense of pain. The mixture of sour wine and gall was often given to the suffering to ease their pain in death.
Jesus, the Son of Man, rejected anything that would numb the suffering He endured for our salvation! Sin against a holy God required extreme punishment, so in order to completely fulfill His position as OUR substitute, He wanted nothing that took away from that punishment.

If I may, I’d like to post a few words about guns. More specifically, I’d like to talk about carrying a gun for one’s self-protection. I have a good friend who is a consummate liberal/progressive. Although she is a successful attorney, she is also so well versed in the usual progressive cant about gun ownership that talking to her is almost comedic. In our last conversation about this subject she confidently informed me that “the science” showed that having guns in my home made me x #’s of times more likely to be killed by “gun violence”.
I countered with NRA stats that showed that there were 2.5 million defense gun-usages during the last year . . . So, it goes.
I’m into my 2nd month of daily concealed carry. Fortunately, I live in Texas were gun ownership is actually encouraged by government and where it is entirely legal for me to carry a concealed handgun without having a special license.
My reason for arming myself is something that I think more than a few Treepers might recognize. I’ve realized that the fact that I’m undeniably elderly, slightly gimpy, slow walking with a typical “old-guy” gait—makes me a vulnerable target for urban predators.
There have been a few encounters, especially at Wallmart or Lowes, where I’ve been approached by people intending to approach me when I’ve parked between cars. If that’s happened to you, it can be a deadly situation because, sandwiched between a car door and another car, you don’t have much mobility. The guy who tried that made a True Believer out of me. First he was saying something innocuous as he moved to isolate me as I was getting out my car. Fortunately, I was able to shout at him to stop which discouraged him (there were other people around, fortunately) but it was an instructive moment—I’d been clocked and a urban predator had decided to try his luck. Fortunately, I stopped him.
But what if he hadn’t stopped? What if the parking lot had been dark? What if . . .?
Two months into daily concealed handgun carry, I’ve had a couple of interesting epiphanies. First of all, carrying a concealed handgun in Texas is very easy. My weapon of choice is a first series Ruger LCP. This is a tiny weapon, about 10+ ounces, which makes it easy to carry. I use a belt mounted fabric holster (Bulldog holsters on Amazon) that appears to be a tablet holster but which fits my tiny LCP perfectly.
When I began concealed carrying, being a good anthropologist, I did some field-testing to see if being armed would be obvious to others. It isn’t. My usual daily attire is cargo pants or cargo shorts, a Wrangler black or blue pocket tee and a cap. With my “cell phone” holster on my belt, I’ve found that my being armed is, much to my surprise, completely ignored here in Texas. The trick, I think, is to wear an un-tucked shirt that covers the outline of the holster. Doing this, I’ve never brought attention to myself, even standing next to people in line, or from bank guards and other security folk who are supposed to look for such things.
Do I like carrying a gun all the time? Really, I’d prefer to be living in the time only a few years back when America was a safer place. Unfortunately it isn’t. And, if you look like me, getting clocked by predators is increasingly becoming a common problem. 2.5 million defensive gun events . . .

Can’t help but chime in..from early age … growing up in Brooklyn, Queens you were taught to be aware of your surroundings..like don’t use subway restrooms..as I came thru life it is just a habit to this day..parking lots always scan as walking to from truck.. before opening door glancing back etc.. idea is to not look like victim… unaware ..so my radar is on..just to share my experience..👍

He left and went several isles over to his next elderly woman victim.

Feel like I owe “the world” an apology. Got pretty upset yesterday. Raging against what this world has become and feeling hopeless over it.
I know Who God Is and I do trust Him… completely. There are just some days harder than others where opening my hand to Him and releasing my daughter to His Care tears at me. I also never want my daughter to feel that I’m abandoning her or sanctioning assaults against her person. I want her to know that I fiercely love, defend, and protect her.
I hate “them” for making me feel like I can’t and that we are so vulnerable.
I hold deep concern for the future of these kids. A lot of really good people have stopped bringing kids into the world because they don’t like what they witness around them. I pray that changes and we can celebrate family again.

I am seeing the snares around our kids tighten and now they are stating that when she turns 18 in her junior year, they’ll no longer talk to me about anything… despite an IEP in place. Great…litigation now? I refuse to put her under a conservatorship that could backfire and leave her at the mercy of others for her future.
I think we are going to try here. This is an online, teacher-led, school that is typically geared towards missionary kids who are traveling and need flexibility. I really like their curriculum and I believe the course selections will challenge her.
I am not sure how we will manage this, but The Lord has made ways for us before – so why would this be any different?

Well, here in Texas at least, being 18 just means that my students were in charge of their personal information—if they gave me their permission I could share critical stuff with parents and others. Legally the school couldn’t withhold information if your daughter gives them permission to share it with you. They should have told you that. . .

If I may say so, JWoo, speaking from a standpoint of more than 40 years as an academic, the absolute best thing you can do for your wonderful daughter is what you are already doing.
You are teaching your daughter to be self-empowered, something that, in my experience, leads directly to developing a strong self-image which, in turn, is the strongest antidote to the “learned helplessness” schools try to instill in our kids.
Am I correct that she’s learning to fly airplanes? Likes cars? Both are great, positive experiences that can take up the slack when schooling isn’t going well. But the singular, most important part of her life is you: she knows you have her back. When the chips are down, that is what really counts.

She is has flown Cessna airplanes twice on Discovery Flights – and she does it really well. Now, driving is a whole other story. We are having troubles with it. The cars on the interstate and their speeds are really super intimidating. She can do back roads and we have some quiet ones… but she’s not up to speed and confidence, yet. We use traffic cones to simulate parking so no one is injured. Amazing that cars are so hard, but airplanes come effortlessly. Go figure.
She has 1.2 hours of flight time. Just purchased her flight log book. (How weird are we?) Needs 40 to 50 for her first private series license, and about 250 hours for a commercial aviators license. It’s cheaper than college.
I still think she’ll pursue college, but maybe after the dust settles and hopefully “woke has gone broke”. The flying might be a side gig to help pay for school. She loves the law, wanted to be a judge, but look at our court system currently. Now, she’s kicking around mechanical engineering.
But… in other excellent news… she aced an interview and has a 2nd interview this evening at our local Chick-Fil-A. So, she may have her first job to put what she’s learned in Financial Peace University to good use. They offer health insurance to their team members and 3% match on 401K – and closed on Sundays. She’s elated!
I am disgusted by her school and the waste of time and kids’ attention spans. Most kids love to learn – so I pray their backwardness bites them in the tail and they will stop this nonsense. Hopefully before they instill more mental illness.
Hi, love . . . Just getting back into the Tree. Re: driving. Your daughter can almost certainly develop driving-in-traffic skills. However, since she’s high-functioning autistic, her differences will take a while to develop “adaptive strategies” to handle traffic. Right now she’s feeling overwhelmed. She’s just going to need some time, moving (literally) at her own speed. High-functioning autistic people can drive cars successfully.
Re: on-line schooling. These are sometimes challenging for people with cognitive differences. Doesn’t mean she shouldn’t do it, however, and her intelligence may let her develop strategies to help her move through classes even quicker. Time will tell and, of course, you’ll be there to help. It might be a good idea to get a tutor to help keep her organized. Your medical insurance or even the state voc-rehab my pay for a tutor. Keep us posted. 🙂

Good for you, sir. Don’t take any guff from the swine. I still have a bit of youth on my side and I will not leave the house without my CKRT S.P.E.W knife mounted horizontally on my belt. My rural setting no longer compels me to carry everyday because so many other responsible gun owners are carrying or they have a pistol in the glovebox of their vehicle. The population center criminals don’t really come this far out into rural Florida and think they are going to get away with much.

Garrison, I hope you don’t mind me “piggybacking” on your excellent and well spoken post. A word for the ladies of the Treehouse. Do not be afraid to concealed carry as well. Take training from a certified conceealed carry instructor so that you are noth knowledgeable and competant with the weapon first. There are several companies who produce some quite nice, fashionable “concealed carry purses”. These purses are designed specifically to allow you to carry and easily access a weapon. My wife had several among her purse collection. One she liked in particular had a zipper on the concealed carry compartment… which allowed her to open the zipper and put her hand on the gun inside as she walked to her car in situations in which she was not comfortable. Fortunately, she never had to use the weapon in any of those situations.
Ladies, a Krav Maga self defense class from a reputable instructor would be the perfect compliment to a snazzy concealed carry purse and a .357 Sig Sauer as benzy mentioned.

I thought she’d followed me between cars but when I turned she was standing in the middle of the lane facing him. Turned out she always carried a Glock 19 in a false bottom of her purse. She and her husband spent time at the gun-range so she knew how to use it, too. Homeless predator guy took one look at her, suddenly got religion, turned around and left.
There’s no telling how many crimes are prevented because of a good guy or a gal carrying. Stay armed, my friend. 😁

All of the women in my life (including my late wife) have experienced situations similar to your description—every one. And I shouldn’t have been surprised to find that their frequency of encounters was a lot higher than it was for men. Deciding to arm oneself is a big decision to have to make, but it sure beats putting yourself in situations where criminal predators can hurt you. YouTube is a great educational tool in that respect. And damned scary too.
Ladies should definitely carry too. A SIG 380 is a nice gun to carry in the pocket. I have it on me all the time so it is second nature to put it in my pocket. I also hunt deer so I have no problem shooting guns. Lots of practice shooting helps one to be familiar and comfortable with their firearm. Learning how to clean your gun helps too. Be safe everyone. I think , like our Garrison, that most of us are not so young anymore. We must learn to protect ourselves.
My 2nd handgun purchase was a Sig P238/380. Good gun and a bit better range gun to shoot than the LCP.
One caution on the purse as compared to wearing you weapon on your person.
The purse can be taken from you, you must keep it with you at all times and never ever set it down.
Some are good at this and others not so good.
Might think about a holstered weapon.
Harder for the bad guys to get it from you, especially if they work in tandem.
Just a thought.
I don’t disagree, but want the women to be aware that they do have options. They should do what they feel comfortable doing. If they are uncomfortable with a particular means of conceal carry, they are less likely to do it.
I carried daily for more than 25 years in a Metro area, most people are oblivious to anyone carrying concealed, people that carry themselves are the ones that can tell if you carry in any of the various normal locations, they might eyeball you or give you a nod tho.
Barney Fife type security also has no idea, overheard @ a car show a Barney type saw someone carrying at the show and had hastily went to a State police guard station to inform them to which someone replied “you could pick this place up with a FNG magnet” with all the people that were carrying.
You will get used to carrying without being self conscience of it soon enough.
I have not carried nor felt the need to, in this small tourist town since I moved to it in 2011, only had one confrontation with a young man with his group of mixed urban youths were getting off an elevator, he asked me what I would do if he stole my pizza I was delivering, little did he know that the “5 lb heat sink”(16×16 ceramic tile) in the bottom of the pizza bag might accidentally cause unconsciousness or worse.

I follow an attorney’s you tube channel, Andrew Branca. His area of law is self defense, where he advises defendant attorneys on how to best present on their client’s behalf before the court.
He has written a book, which is available on Amazon but – he offers it for free where the person simply pays for the shipping. It comes highly recommended so that those who use their firearms for self defense will be aware, before hand, things that might otherwise get them caught up in a huge fiasco if what happens ever gets into a court of law.

behind it in the West is clear air and frigid temperature, the blue-sky high-pressure system, that’s the “polar” air part of the “polar vortex” nomenclature, as far as I can glean. frigid air is being transported from the upper atmosphere down to land surface and also being blown in laterally from the north by the lower-atmosphere circulation … so “polar” air is being brought down vertically as well as laterally

The church of Christ in the beginning was pure and holy, and walked in real love for one another; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and great grace was upon them all. And the power of the LORD was mighty, both for healing all who came to them in Jesus’ Name; but also for terrible judgment upon the wicked who tried to pollute the holy congregation. What do you think would happen today, if ever the church repented and got clean and holy like they were in the beginning, and started being of one heart and one soul? What do you think would be the response of all who live around the saints; when people started dropping dead for lying to the Holy Spirit?
The most horrifying thing about the stark difference between now and then; is the glaring truth, that the power of God is not present in the churches today; and if His power isn’t there, its because He isn’t there. They may have great emotional so-called worship services; and draw hundreds or even thousands to come join in the experience. But it is not the Lord, nor His Spirit, that is running these meetings; yet multitudes flock there! So then we have to ask the next logical question: if the Lord doesn’t know these kinds as His own, and the Holy Spirit is not the one moving these meetings; then what really will be their condition when the Lord appears and He doesn’t know them? How did they not know His Spirit? How could they have been so misled? A very good thing it should be, to find out the answer to that one, BEFORE THE LORD COMES!
THE COLLISION OF GOD AND SIN

The Cross of Jesus is the revelation of God’s judgment on sin. Never tolerate the idea of martyrdom about the Cross of Jesus Christ. The Cross was a superb triumph in which the foundations of hell were shaken. There is nothing more certain in Time or Eternity than what Jesus Christ did on the Cross: He switched the whole of the human race back into a right relationship with God. He made Redemption the basis of human life, that is, He made a way for every son of man to get into communion with God.
The Cross did not HAPPEN to Jesus: He came on purpose for it. He is “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” The whole meaning of the Incarnation is the Cross. Beware of separating GOD MANIFEST IN THE FLESH from THE SON BECOMING SIN. The Incarnation was for the purpose of Redemption. God became incarnate for the purpose of putting away sin; not for the purpose of Self-realization. The Cross is the centre of Time and of Eternity, the answer to the enigmas of both.
The Cross is not the cross of a man but the Cross of God, and the Cross of God can never be realized in human experience. The Cross is the exhibition of the nature of God, the gateway whereby any individual of the human race can enter into union with God. When we get to the Cross, we do not go through it; we abide in the life to which the Cross is the gateway.
The centre of salvation is the Cross of Jesus, and the reason it is so easy to obtain salvation is because it cost God so much. The Cross is the point where God and sinful man merge with a crash and the way to life is opened – but the crash is on the heart of God.

The days of COVID should be remembered, lest people revert to similar times of confinement with no contact with other people. Studies have shown it was damaging to those who were ill, to children not allowed to go to school, and to organizations, including churches, most of which were relegated to meeting over live-stream. It is not the habit of humans to be alone.
An individual must make the decision in his heart and mind to believe in Jesus as his Savior. However, the support of others in the faith is important to help followers of Christ stay the course, and not be led astray by the devil. Matthew Henry pointed out that “the spirit of sin is the spirit of separation. Sin makes men walk in lonely paths, thinking their own thoughts, wrestling with their own doubts.”
The world would cut you off from every tie that binds you with others who can encourage and support you.
Today’s verse emphasizes the need to meet together as Christian brothers and sisters in Christ. If you feel you haven’t anything in common with those who go to church, it may be surprising to learn that there are others who have experienced this same struggle as you.
Their witness and wisdom may be just what you need to meet the difficulty you are facing right now.
The development of your Christian faith involves supporting others in ways that show your love for them. Encourage them, and worship the Lord with them. It will be the tie that binds. Pray that fellow believers join in interceding on behalf of this nation’s public officials.

The other night I was watching a live stream from Ryan Hall y’all during the tornado outbreak. He pointed out the Dopplar Radar signature of bats streaming out for a nights feed in Texas.
What struck me was that the bats didn’t take off going in all directions but all fanned out flying NE from where they were emerging. And I had to ask myself why?
Insectivorous bats don’t flock except when returning to where ever they are spending the daylight hours. When they are leaving to go hunting they are independent hunting machines. So why were they streaming out to the NE and not any other direction?
Do they have a sense for weather conditions that indicates to them where the best hunting will be? Or do they remember where the locations are where the hunting is best?

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
