Personally, I don’t eat at McDonald’s much anymore. But, I loved it when I was a kid and I am afraid I often indulged my children in a meal there. Quite delicious really. Coffee of any size for $1.00.
It has been decades for me. I hate catsup on a burger, preferring mustard, so at Mac’s it’s a special order that takes 10 minutes and half the time I would get catsup on it anyway. So for decades I ate at Burger King until the fake meat came out. Since it is cooked in the same oven/ machine, everyone gets whatever is in fake meat in all their burgers.
Yes, last time I went there, actually to one of the early franchisee’s locations, the sign said ‘over 7 million served‘. I think plain hamburgers were two bits. TBH, I never ate out much, even when young.
About the only regular thing was each Sunday after church dad would take me out for ice cream when a kid. I didn’t see much of him otherwise. Busy working for the government.
Decedents of that franchisee still own a couple locations near where I lived for decades. McD’s has been pretty good for them.
I eat there at most once a year if I can’t avoid it. Like you, it’s a bit on the mustard issue, but mostly their push for impersonal ordering kiosks.
My Burger King changed the bun on the Whopper. I didn’t eat there often, because of lousy service, for one thing, but I did like a Whopper now and then, and for some reason they altered it.
I remember when Burger King had not only the ‘Whopper’–they had the largest fish sandwich I had ever seen called the ‘Whaler’. It was as giant as the burger! The buns were 5 or 6″.
There was, at that time, no real competition for the McD’s fish sandwich which, at the time I’m referring to, had a full slice of cheese on it. Not anymore.
Seems as if they find something that sells and then they change it.
BK’s chicken sandwich was great. They’ve downsized it.

I have a slim and trim frens who frequents Burger King when she doesn’t eat at home.
She always orders the kids’ sizes because the full-size burgers etc. are too much for her.
Anyone can order smaller portions, and anyone can overeat in any restaurant.
The people I know who eat there most often are not any fatter than the average today, and they aren’t any unhealthier than those who never do, except when those who never do also are on ssome sort of total fitness and health plan in general.
If McDonald’s served bug burgers and kept everything else the same, you’d never hear about them.
Years ago, I had co-worker who was obese, and came in every morning with four of those maple bacon, egg sandwiches that they used to have. She ate every single one, and then ordered lunch. That turned me off of McDonalds forever

I can’t make WPB. I will be plastering TRUMP 2024 stickers I bought at the Ocala rally a couple years ago on high visibility surfaces, mainly those annoying plastic corrugated signs advertising discount mattresses’ that seem to be stuck in the ground at every street corner. I am then going to channel some positive energy into my garden and maybe catch a bowfin or two just for the fight! Anyone going to West Palm should be wary of the exploding junkie population. Lock your cars with nothing of value in sight, keep valuables like phones and wallets in your front pockets.
Many patriots on sticker campaigns learned to place the stickers on the backside of the sign as it has a much longer “life” there than the front. Back in the day, Buchanan/Ron paul stickers would be taken down rather quickly as opposed to Bush stickers as it seemed to me at least that the globalist-marxist flunkies knew who the real opposition was.

A Pennsylvania school district will keep parents in the dark when it invites children to declare a “gender” that is different from their sex.
Greater Johnstown School District in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, created a “gender transition plan” and a “gender support plan” for students. Neither plan requires consent or involvement from parents.
The district also has a “Gender Expansive and Transgender Students Policy,” which states the school should keep students’ gender identity information secret from their parents. It reads, “School personnel should not disclose information that may reveal a student’s gender expansive or transgender status presentation to others, including the student’s parents/guardians.”
In order to keep students’ gender identity secret, school personnel are instructed to “use the student’s legal name and the pronoun corresponding to the student’s gender assigned at birth” when contacting a student’s parent or guardian.

Seems like this would violate federal law, FERPA. 20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99 Also multiple other federal and state laws regarding fundamental parenting rights. Minors usually teenage may consent to “mental health” treatment without parental consent in many states (age 14 in PA); these laws need to be overhauled, and what that constitutes more carefully defined.

A few days ago, my favorite Catholic radio talk station had a mental health person on, I think he was a psychologist…his take on all this is that those ‘transgenders’ either dislake or ‘hate’ themselves….I was surprised about the hate comment on a Catholic talk show…but there it is.
Their calling it a “drag persona” indicates it’s a bunch of loons that have let their cosplay take over. And now they want to drag everyone else’s children down with them.
I would never let my kids go to a “Young Actor’s Theatre Camp” to begin with, let alone one that has BS like that on the itinerary!
This started with the “Emancipated minor” concept taught in medical school in the 80’s. Basically we were taught that anything to do with reproductive health was none of the parents business and did not need to be declared to the parent if the child under 18 did not want to share it. Even if they were 10 years old.
Someone plans this, and even if it is not one or a few individuals, or a “communist manifesto” or “rules for radicals”, there is always evil — looking for opportunity to gain just a little more ground
Yet somehow us pushing back makes us evil controlling parents, or archaic beliefs of “religious people”, or oppressive nationalism. If we went to the lengths they did while they introduce gender fluidity/confusion and alternative possibilities to reality, even as parents, we would have our children taken away. But schools and anyone with access to schools or woke agendas now have more authority in our legal culture than parents do.
It is getting to the point that parents are assumed to be evil unless proven otherwise by effusing the woke agenda all over our kids, and in front of teachers for their approval. Our childrens educators are now taught they they have a higher intellect and moral responsibility for our children than do parents — and you see that slipping out in their speech all the time.
Forget the issues. Parents must have a right to have every issue disclosed to them. Lesson plans, reports on class content. Or freedom to create alternatives without financial penalty or penalty/threat of being accused of child abuse.
Any parent that signs their children up for these should be arrested.
That’s the problem. The teachers are signing the children up, not telling the parents, and telling the children not to tell their parents. I’m sure this will be denied, because they know exactly what they are doing, and many are not. But there are many that are — even in high school, and continuing the relationships with kids after high school. I have watched it with my own kids- regarding sexuality, politics, social agenda.
I have a serious question. Since when is “drag” a gender identity? It isn’t. It is performance art. Performance Artist is not a “protected class.” Most drag performers are actually gay men who identify as male in their everyday lives, like Ru Paul. It is no different than an actor who is straight playing a gay role. Or Robin Williams dressing as Mrs. Doubtfire. Is is a performance and is not, and should not, be a part of LGBT. Not only this, but the whole concept of “drag” being child-friendly. It is by definition NOT child friendly and never has been. It is meant to be bawdy, sexually charged, obscene, etc… I’m a fan of drag and think it is fun for adults. But I don’t understand the connection with putting it into our school curriculums. It isn’t like drag performers are out walking around the streets, shopping for groceries, pumping gas, etc… Typically, they arrive on site dressed normal. They get ready in the dressing rooms. Then they remove the stage makeup and costumes and put back on their normal clothes. It’s just stupid.
“They” say it is to demonstrate to the kids “how to be their authentic selves”. “They” say it is to provide diversity in artistic expression.
Kids try on “authentic selves” out of dress up chests filled with old clothes. On dolls, with Legos. As you point out, this is dress up for grown people and trying to “share” that with little kids makes my antenna twitch. Grown ups playing dress up with kids removes the imagination part from the children – it becomes guided play, not organic imagination. Guiding them where??!!??

Because, from my work experience (although I am now retired since 2010), attorneys were highly respected (even the lazy ones in government) and they would never make a spectacle of themselves.
They always stayed away from ANYTHING that could be construed “Political” or “Controversial”. They were above that ethically.
I realize those days are gone forever BUT I continue to feel a sense of “wrong”; unethical behavior when witnessing these public actions promoting derision and division in our society.

My son graduated from law school in 2012. He almost didn’t. In a required class on legal writing, he refused to argue that the Constitution is “a living document” and therefore flexible. My recollection is the Dean had to step in to ensure he got a passing grade in that class., and she only did so because his other grades (and legal analyses) were outstanding.
Point being, this woke crap has been going on for some time in law schools. He held is ground. A lot of students won’t.
Same thing has been occuring in Medical Schools-only the woke foreign born, minority and female need apply –how else are they going to get the complete cooperation of doctors to push dangerous drugs and treatments, and push for nationalised healthcare.

It seems I am speechless. It is taking me some time to write out this week’s post, so I will just recap the week with limited editorializing. Our week began with an attack on values. A transvestite (the term for a person of one sex dressing up as some one of another sex) shot up a christian school. We can spend time discussing why, but the answer is it was mentally ill and was radicalized by the media and its only choice was to attack those who are different and normal. These Christians didn’t do anything. They love one another. The liberal media has this blood on their hands and perpetuates the lie that “transgender” is perfectly normal.
Later in the week, seemingly like clockwork this story was replaced with the greatest farce since January 6th. New York is going after Trump for a little more than pocket change for him. Hillary walks free, Obama walks free, Bush walks free, Clinton walks free. So why then go after Trump, why, so relentlessly attack Trump? Because the rich and powerful in this country have lost the most important part of being an American. They have lost the love for their country, their greed and corruption overwhelms any good they may have, any intention to make the lives of anyone else better.
I supported Trump last week, I supported Trump yesterday, I support Trump Today and I will support him everyday going forward. There is nothing, no attack from the left, no lie that is pushed, no falsehood that is claimed that will make me stop supporting him. If Trump was bad, as they claim, then the propaganda would be unnecessary.
Trump kept us out of war. First president in my lifetime. Deep state military-industrial complex insiders couldn’t abide that.

Let me now speak from authority …

Necessarily, there is one “super-user” who has GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* in other words “the right to do anything to anything.” The ability to set up the system in the first place. But that should be profoundly protected.
Yet, it is very obvious that this user was immediately granted “super-user” access to the database without being challenged. Most likely, all of the software simply accesses the database using this level of (unlimited) privilege. From a software professional’s point of view – and, I am one – this is unconscionable. The security capabilities exist, but they are not being used at all.
(Even the “SQL Server Admin” tool can do only what the corresponding user-id is permitted to do. It is not, itself, “magical.”)
In a sensibly-designed system, the voting machines would have the authority to APPEND a row to the tabulation table “and that’s it.” The administrator machines would be able to APPEND change-records to another table “and that’s it.” You can add a row to it but you can’t even look at it. A much more privileged user would be able to EXEC (but not examine nor alter) the so-called “privileged stored procedure” that ran through these tables to (re-)tabulate the results. Other users would be authorized to SELECT (view …) records from those tabulation results tables, but could not alter anything. And, so on. All of these capabilities exist, but are not used. There is no excuse for this. Very clearly, a security design audit was never done, and the vendor sought to hide the fact that it was never done. “Trust, but verify.”
Therefore: The vendor’s statements and representations were provably “deliberately fraudulent,” and did cause material harm. This is a white-collar crime, and all of us are the aggrieved plaintiffs.
The more sophisticated the security, the more ways there are, to break it.

When “motion detector” alarm systems first came out, they were “high tech” and “impenetrable” and (in my mispent youth) I overcame one with a five and dime pea shooter, another with a can of shaving cream, and a third with a small bottle of mercury.

I was struck yesterday between the similarities of the situations Jesus and Donald Trump faced. In no way am I equating them.
Donald Trump accomplished what many feel was a miraculous degree of change against unprecedented opposition faced like no other president has faced. It woke us up. Made us take notice. But Donald cannot, in his earthly body with his earthly skills, restore this nation or set us on the path to be what we can really be.
Jesus was limited in his earthly body. What he accomplished, mainly through relationship effect on his 12 disciples — caused people to notice. His speeches were impressive, but they did not cause immediate change. Many, however, took notice.
There were also thieves, killers, and deceitfully evil people all around him. Plotting to eliminate him. Even among his closest advisers – Judas stole money, had greedy eyes for Mary’s perfume, and eventually initiated his death.
On Palm Sunday, people were just waking up to realize he was the Messiah. A week later, Jesus was taken from this earth. And after his death, those with ears that could hear, who had been seeking the truth — turned the world upside down.
They did this not so much by overtaking the earthly enemy — not by declaring his message — but by living his message with those around them. Loving others – sinners or not — with the same grace and Mercy that Jesus gave the 12. Most of the 12 died horrendous deaths, driven by the joy, peace, confidence and faith within them. There was no stopping the Truth, transmitted not so much by words, but by hands of Love, Grace, and Mercy, and the same things Donald is calling us to in his inspirational message last week.
The crazy angry Dems, Marxists, woke clowns — we know why they are angry. At the root, they are angry for the same reasons we are angry, they are just blaming the wrong enemy. The greed for money and power that drives corporations, WEF, RINOs, and cold lying calculating GOPe — we know why they are hoarding. They are afraid of poverty and loss of control, just as we are. But we have the solution.
The 12, the 2000, the multitudes that rippled the transformation of the world were no different than us. And Donald Trump is just one man with a skill set. He is the messenger, the one who is awakening us. We are not dependent on Donald Trump. We have in us what we need, we just don’t know it or have the faith to live it like Donald has. He is living his own transformation, clearly with the marks of a transformed man willing to lay it all on the line to carry the message of hope to us — no matter what it takes.
No matter what happens this week, Donald Trump is victorious. His life has been a success. He has made a mark. He may be silenced, jailed. If these measures are not successful, he may very well be killed. We pray that we get more time under his leadership. Not only for his ability to effect change, but just to watch God move through this very flawed human man.
The success of Donald Trump, the success of Jesus — depends on the transformation in us. What if 80 million became as activated as the Lion Donald Trump — and he is just a human Lion. In Jesus, the Word became flesh. In us, the Word becomes flesh as we reflect the glory of our Creator. As Lincoln did. As Washington did. As Tim Tebow does. As Ben Carson does. As Donald Trump does. No ones transformation is perfect nor complete. I hear the strain of pursuit of truth in Tucker.
The battle is won. We may end up being a much better Godly, productive, prosperous nation that is a beacon for the world, transformed from a rag tag bunch of explorers, settlers, colonists, patriots into the Godly nation we were. or we may end up being like the slaves of Egypt, Israelites of the holocaust, citizens of Cuba and Venezuela or China or Russia. Either way, the battle in the heavenly realm is already won.
What we become we can be because God has supplied what we need. Washington, Lincoln, Reagan, and Donald have shown us that already. The rest will increase in proportion to our faith.
Prayers, Treepers and fellow citizens, fellow seekers, fellow doubters. God has this.

If you have not already done so, I recommend that you read Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s, treatise, Letter From A Birmingham Jail. Written by a clergyman to the clergy, it is neither short nor easy reading. But, in it, he sets out and justifies his strategy of non-violent resistance. Which he used successfully to win the battle for civil rights, even though he lost his own life in the process.
Our opposition is inherently violent – witness their “mostly-peaceful protests.” 🔥 Which is precisely why we must not be.
Violent people – even the ones in starched business suits with very ugly neckties – do not understand that non-violence is more powerful than they are, so they do not regard it. But we understand what they do not: that we do not have to destroy this nation nor tear it apart in order to save it from itself. That we do not have to do battle with them in order to defeat them. “332+ million people” cannot be stopped by “less than one thousand,” no matter how lofty their job titles might be. The tide rises slowly but it cannot be stopped.
At the same time, there comes a time when every measure must be taken.
Arkanside, Epsteined, Fostered, Scalia and many many more — all sick jokes from the Humor of our enemies pretended they hand nothing to do with life taken.
Then they gaslight us and make us doubt out of our humility and willingness to give grace and mercy.
There comes a time, when evil is so blatant it cannot be ignored. We can be angry that law enforcement is not doing its job.
We have in our law, a constitutional obligation to protect what is a sacred tenant of the Declaration and the consitution: We too are just as responsible as a Marine, a soldier, or President Trump believed — to stand between the enemy and our fellow citizens. Trump has not only vowed, but demonstrated that “he always will” stand between them and We the People.
We too have that obligation. The enemy is on home soil, in our government, in our courts, in our churches, in the schools that teach our children, in our hospitals, in our banks, in our computers, in our mail, phones, internet, and media.
Our constitutional citizenship came with a responsibility. An expectation to keep a ready militia, a 2a right. That responsibility is to protect this nation, our families, our fellow citizens — from enemies abroad and within.
I agree in many ways that there is a time for that and a time for peace. We are in the transition zone. We must not relent. They will be forced to show their hand in all areas. We already KNOW what regard they have for our lives, our citizenship, our rights, our children, and our future.
We have much more power at our disposal without resorting to physical violence. PDJT is leading us that way, as did MLK, as did Ghandi. Unless things change, there will come a time when there will be disagreement as to when and what force.
We must with prayer, and relentless determination, with no fear continue. We are past the point of being ready to lay down our lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. PDJT has shown he is willing to lay down his life, and he very well may sacrifice his physical body. We must be willing as well.
God does like reminding us of Christ by presenting us with similitudes. But please remember to not replace God with a similitude.

(1) Mr Nilson said that it is possible to bypass WinRed by sending a check. He confirmed that mailing a check to the Arlington, VA PO Box on the contribution form would work fine. (see link at end of my comment)
(2) Mr Nilson explained that all republican candidates use WinRed because the RNC requires it. The RNC attaches significant penalties to a candidate who does not use WinRed.
(3) I asked if WinRed handles the checks sent to the PO Box in Arlington, VA and he said “No.”

Yes, his response completely caught me off guard. It was my asking who was picking up the mail at the PO Box that triggered his reaction. (WinRed is in Arlington, VA as is the PO Box, so that’s why I asked).
He confirmed that a check bypasses WinRed and that sending a check was okay. My guess is a few donations here and there that bypass WinRed are not a problem or else he would have said not to send a check.

I disagree with this POV. We already know that this indictment is related to the Stormy Daniels issue, and we already know that was crap. If there was any possible way to get Trump on that, don’t try to tell me he wouldn’t have been ‘gotten’ already.
People don’t like me mentioning her, but even AnnCoulter has called the payoff story crap, and she hates Trump but she is also a trained attorney.
The other side, the Democrats and the MSM, are all talking about it; Ms. Daniels is gloating.
