Mel has been all over the place lately. He has at least 3 recent movies out. I’ve watch 1 and a half, so far. One of them was on Panama and another was based on a true story of a guy who was a successful bank robber in Canada. I do not recall the other.
They’ve tried to destroy Mel.
He knows too much about what really goes on in the Hollywood pit.
Say what you will about “the star system,” but if Mel Gibson accepts a role in a movie and/or directs or produces it, then I am going to buy a bucket of popcorn and watch it. I’ve (almost …) never been disappointed. He is a craftsman.
The most recent movie I watched that he was in, was Father Stu. It came out last year during Lent, to little fanfare. I thought it was great. Mark Wahlberg played Fr. Stu. Gibson played his dad.
That makes 4 recent movies then.
I loved Lethal Weapon. I remember laughing so hard, and just enjoying it.
I personally think that one of the things that made Hollywood furious was that he looked so darn cute (again, MHO), in that DUI photo which looked like a studio photograph – not a hair outta place and a great smile –

I have a nesting pair in a large shrub under my kitchen window….occasionally the male perches for a rather long time and stares at me while doing dishes.
I am pretty sure it is my dad…I talk to it and it stays, tilting his head this way and that…
They are a very comforting pair as I believe they are my parents visiting….
I have a cardinal in my back yard too. He’s my dash of color when the world is all white. I had never heard that legend. Now I love that cardinal even more.
My Mom and I both saw this cardinal – we think it was – or maybe it was some other reddish-orange bird – that was flying around the cemetery where we went to put Christmas decorations for my stepdad (it’s a wonderful thing – people can decorate the graves of their loved ones for Christmas and they give you the two weeks from before Christmas to just after New Year’s). So Mom was waiting in our car, watching while I was over at Dad’s grave, arranging the decorations – there were so many decorations all around and some of the trees were decorated too, that were near graves – so lots of red – and this little bird was flitting all around to the tops of the trees and then over by the dumpster next to our car where Mom was sitting – she could see it up close – unfortunately, at that time, we did not have a phone that took pictures. We really felt so much love from dear God, that little bird was cheering us up!

My take: When January came, Tucker had to face a crossroads in his life on whether to face the truth about America’s enemies.
As we all know, President Trump’s mission is to expose the truth. Tucker is very smart and realized immediately that his life as he had known it would be forced to change, whether he liked it or not.
I think he simply had a temporary temper tantrum. But as time has gone by, he’s seen the simple fact: Trump. Was. Right. About. Everything.
And he’s gained some courage. He’s still hedging his bets, but he’s threading the needle very successfully these days.
I remember he discussed some about his crossroads experience. I found his story very believable and it made complete sense to me because I had similar awakening to my “normal” reality.
Yes, he has spoken about having his eyes opened to the absolute vacuous nature of the swamp. He was very open – and to my judgement – honest about it. Lots of people on the right – outside of these pages – were not immediately on the Trump train. Many even up until he was inaugurated. A lot of changed minds began when he started showing real leadership and keeping his campaign promises.
As a Christian – saved solely by the grace of a forgiving God – I have learned to give grace.

Why does he have to address this? It’s been obvious for years that Tucker doesn’t like Trump. I think in the last year he’s softened, but Tucker always made it abundantly clear that Trump offends him with his words, behavior, taste, etc.
Tucker comes from a social class that is repelled by Donald Trump – it is what it is. Donald Trump has money but he fits better with the working class or middle, middle class.

I have a customer who says she’s on a database diet when I ask if she has a rewards card. She then happily sticks her debit card in the point of sale terminal to pay for her groceries.
Cash is the shut off button for a debit card and I carry both. For some purchases, cash makes sense and for others a debit card is just fine. My cell phone will get turned on from time to time, a time and place of my choosing.

The politicians and media took extra measures to make him a hero to make their insurrection story worse than it actually. Remember they held a special memorial service in the Capitol Rotunda to honor him. Not trying to take anything away from Sicknick. He did his job admirably and should be recognized for that.
But, to fan the flames of their insurrection they politicized his death to claim Trump supporters killed him to drive public opinion against Trump and the America First movement.
I believe he died from two strokes caused by blood clots. Possibly the extra excitement/stress during J6 had some affect. Some claim the extra stress caused it, but didn’t know stress could cause blood clotting, maybe so.
The problem is the Establishment wants us to think J6 was the worst thing to ever happen to America and Trump and his followers are to blame and should be cast out of our society. They will say and do anything to manufacture that story.

Texas is a state that sends more money to the federal government than it gets back. Texas has over 118 thousand people serving in the US armed forces.

We would be something like the 10th largest economy in the world. In addition to the points you make, we have the Port of Houston, a gold depository, our own electric grid. We are fully capable of making it on our own. I don’t think we’d spend 17% of our budget on defense
A lot of people throw out the straw man that “it isn’t legal for Texas to secede”. My response is that it wasn’t legal for the colonies to declare independence. Ultimately the question of legality comes down to what degree of the use of force or economics each side is willing to use. We can shut off our gas and oil to the rest of the country like Putin to Europe and see what happens then.

Besides concerted efforts to purge local and state voter rolls (a proven method in Wisconsin to reduce the fraud pool), a much more comprehensive ballot collection system needs to be set up, independent from local party organizations.

Personally, I don’t care if he likes or hates Trump, I care if truth is told. Matt Taibbi doesn’t like Trump but he has the journalistic integrity to put that aside and discuss facts and principles. In a way it’s a greater testament to a journalist if they can deal in truth rather than let personal or partisan feelings get in the way and cause them to suppress the truth.
So I evaluate TC, Taibbi, Zito, etc on whether on balance they put truth out there or suppresses it — whether it helps or hurts the guys I like.
