Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Hi WP
Thank you for the post.
I’ve always loved this comforting verse, WP.
It is profound -to me- that God wipes away the tears. He doesn’t send His angel to do it, but He personally wipes them away.
This is going to be a glorious time as described in these words! And I’m ready…
.

Sorry couldn’t resist 😄
I can’t resist either..
Beware the Cat Burglar…and his Apprentice.

And for those who would wish to know how roof repairs in village churches in Britain are financed…never underestimate the ingenuity of the church mice who live there, or the photogenic cat these clever mice have hired to protect them.
A merry band of brothers all..
Episode 2 ~ The Church Cat Abroad
That was charming.
The agent is named “Al Pushum” (I’ll push ’em) lol.
The presenter could be Jay Leno’s kid brother if he had one..
He could be, WP. That is Grif Rhys Jones. I saw this on the BBC when I first moved to Wales and was immediately smitten with the story and the illustrations. Graham Oakley wrote the books, a whole series of them, which I bought immediately. I could spend hours on each page just admiring the seemingly unending number of mice, all doing various different activities.
And of course I bought the whole series again for my first grandchildren, twin boys now 17.
Here is Episode One for you.

They were out of print for a long time, but a cry of despair that they were must have gone out, because here they are…in print once again. Sorry to say on Amazon, nevertheless wonderful books for young and old.

I’ve bookmarked to watch, Betsy. Some of these books available at:

Have ordered from them for several years. No problems ever.
So good to know!!!! Thanks, Della. I believe they are the most wonderful books for character often I’ve ever read. 😘

The old Steve Allen Show!
Thanks that was marvelous.
Talk about a cat who knows his instrument 🙂
Ah, it’s good to hear the old guys like Blind Willie, but I was exposed to Ry Cooder’s remakes of those songs first and then backtracked to hear his influences, like Blind Willy, Joseph Spence, and Blind Blake, who were much rawer
I appreciated the originals but can’t help but revel in the Ry versions made in modern studios with the engineers getting a spacious and majestic sound with modern close-miking, plate reverbs, and fuller high-fidelity sound
Ry also mastered the playing, often going over and above the originals in execution and solidity … except maybe Blind Blake’s Police Dog Blues, Ry wasn’t able to better the playing much but it’s the better sonics that gets me to prefer Ry’s version
So as much as it’s cool to hear the influences, I’m still knocked out by those 1970-1972 albums by Ry (Ry Cooder, Into the Purple Valley, Boomers Story)
This next week the DC goons will

Matthew 26:1-5 “And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, He said to his disciples, You know that after two days is the the Passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified. Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and consulted that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him. But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.”
“When Jesus had finished all these sayings . . .” it was probably coming on toward evening, as they were reclining on the slopes of the Mount of Olives, opposite the Temple. The day had began with Jesus and the twelve being up early, to go back into the city; and being hungry, the Lord stopped at a fig tree to find something to eat. And finding nothing but leaves, He used it as a sign for what was transpiring that day in the heavenly realms concerning Israel and Jerusalem; and also what was to be the interpretation of Jesus’ last day among the Jews, as the end of their hour of visitation. The divine verdict was, that they had been weighed in the balance and found wanting before God; and so were to be cast out, and cut off; God hiding His face from them from that day forward, until the end of the world, when they should acknowledge their iniquity.
Hosea 5:15 “I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.”
Luke 13:34-35 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kills the prophets, and stones them that are sent to you; how often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen does gather her brood under her wings, and you would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, You shall not see Me, until the time come when you shall say, Blessed is He that comes in the name of the LORD.”
After spending the greater part of the day dealing with the hostility and quarreling of the Jews; He departed and left them to their own ways, saying Woe to you, eight times (Matthew 23), and declaring the coming age of cursing and doom with His departure from them. Going out then with His disciples from the temple and from the city, He crossed the Kidron over to the Mount of Olives, and there He told His friends about what would be the signs of His coming, and the end of the world. (Matthew 24-25; Mark 13; Luke 21)
Now when Jesus has finished all these sayings, and He stands at the point for which He came into the world; He tells His friends plainly, You know that this is now it! that in two days is the Passover, and the Son of man will be betrayed to be crucified. How fast the time went! A very short three and a half years (as we suppose), and now the reality of the truth, and of this world, is about to wake everybody up! Regardless of what was the most popularly held beliefs, unfounded hopes, and unscriptural expectations, which the multitude of followers of Jesus had; the kingdom of God could not come without Messiah being delivered up into the hands of the devil’s children to be killed. The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world had to be sacrificed, slaughtered and offered upon the altar.
This was not for making paintings and statues and art, for worshiping the macabre; but these things were done in the living person of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God come in the flesh through the miracle of the virgin birth. We can understand from the human sense, what all these things would be like; but all with having full knowledge of an inevitable catastrophe of cruelest violence and insult and being murdered; no one has ever, or could ever have so much faithfulness and integrity and courage as our Lord and Savior! And even while He is saying these things, and bearing with unimaginable grace, what He is about to endure; the wicked are gathering together and plotting His murder, without a trace of fear of God or any moral consciousness. This is part of what out Lord Jesus did for us, beloved Brethren; doesn’t He deserve our whole heart’s desire and loyalty?
Have you been to Israel Michael? Hope you have. Went about 10 years ago, a footsteps of Jesus tour for 10 days. With my parents, they gifted me the trip. Best family trip ever, best trip ever. Game changer for reading Bible, going to Church, listening/reading to others share about Christ, and more.
Have been to many countries, continents, Israel reigns as best destination amongst decades of travel.
Thank you for all you share.
It must have felt special walking on the same paths Jesus once walked
☘️
It is not hard to imagine such a walk would a monumental and momentum effect on anyone who experienced it.
Hi Betsy! One thing I think I liked most; was one day when we were in Jerusalem, we got to walk up on the ramparts/walls all around the Old City. And when we came by the Damascus Gate, on the north side of the city, you can see the “Place of the Skull” very plainly. It really looks like a skull, with the eye sockets and nose bridge and mouth awry. There’s an Arab bus station right in front of it, and the Garden Tomb off just to the left of it.
John 19:41 “Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.”
When it was discovered by General Gordon, (I think back in the end of the 1800’s or early 1900’s), they found the tomb with a cut out area where the feet would have been; suggesting that Jesus was a taller man, and Joseph was likely shorter; so they had to make it so the Lord’s body could be laid there. There is also a place for a very large stone to be rolled in front over the door; and also a large cistern nearby, indicating that it was in fact a garden, like John said.
You can visit the place, and go inside; although they have but security bars blocking the place where the Lord lay. But you know what was the most interesting about it? IT WAS EMPTY! The Lord was not there; for He is RISEN!
If you haven’t already, I encourage you; you will really find it interesting and thrilling; watch some of Ron Wyatt’s videos on YouTube, about the Ark of the Covenant discovery. I’ve post a few of them here recently.
God bless you Betsy 🙂
Oh thank you, dear Michael. How miraculous! I suppose seeing it would absolutely change one forever. It is one thing to read, but to see with one’s own eyes, feeling the history of His life and death and resurrection…well, I’m sure you were left with no words, but rather thoughts and contemplation. Your sense of awe comes through very clearly in your post. I wish for you all His blessings as well. You serve Him well here, and I’m glad you reconsidered taking that break😉
Thank you Sister 🙂
Its really not to describe! The feeling and atmosphere is like nothing we know here in the US, or for that matter, ANYWHERE! And its interesting too; the same people are there (so to speak) as were there when the Lord was there: I mean, there were Jews and Arabs, and visitors from all over the world; just like back then, in a way. If you haven’t yet; and you don’t get a chance before the Lord comes; you are in for quite a wonderful experience when Jesus comes back! I look forward to meeting everyone here face to face, and having a good time seeing the country of His own people reborn at that day!
Good afternoon Poyeema, How are you? Yes, I got to go twice to Israel; in 1986 and 1987. We were a small house church group, about ten of us, I think. We spent a week in Galilee, and a week in Jerusalem. We had a driver and a guide, and a small bus; and could pretty much plan our itinerary on a daily basis. Really cool!
So many wonderful experiences; but altogether, the feeling of walking (or, mostly driving) around the very same places where the Lord Jesus was, and all the places we read about in the Bible; there’s really no place in the world like the Holy Land! I have to agree, NO comparison really; many very beautiful and interesting places and countries in the world, but nowhere is like the Holy Land of Israel! I’ve travelled some when I was younger; most of the US, and a very little to Europe and Mexico, but I’ll tell you something; when we were flying in to Tel Aviv from over the Mediterranean, about 4:30 in the afternoon; looking out over the coast of Israel for the first time; this deep feeling of a long lost homecoming filled my heart; it was so meaningful and felt so good! Funny though, when I shared that with some of the others; (and I did make a big thing out of it, for I was quite moved), none of them seemed to have the same experience. I have to believe it is because my mother’s family are Cohen (Hebrew for priests), meaning of the family of Aaron.
I think that that was a very VERY special gift your parents got for you! You have to tell me some highlights and impressions you had. One of my most exciting memories, was the first night we arrived at the Kibbutz Nof Ginosar, in Galilee, on our first trip in ’86; that very same day, a couple of guys who lived at the Kibbutz were going around the shoreline with a metal detector, and found a boat dating back to the time when Jesus was there! They were too hasty to start to uncover it, and a part of the front of the boat immediately disintegrated when the air hit it. So they stopped immediately, and dug it out all around, leaving about a foot of mud around it, so as not to further damge it. They also found a lamp and a cooking vessel inside the boat; by which they estimated the time. It just so happened, that they were also at the same time building a Maritime Museum just a little ways from there: and so what they did, was to encase the boat in some kind of foam, and float it down to the Museum/research facility, where they put it into a bath of chemicals, that would replace the water, and preserve the wood, etc.
Thanks for recalling those memories! Like I said, you have to tell me some things you were “impressed with” while you were there.
The Lord bless you Poyeema 🙂
Have a wonderful and very blessed Sunday, Treeper friends. And always know that our Dear Lord loves us, and watches over us.
Cheers Garrison!
Mornin’ 1530. Have a great Sunday . . . 🙂
Thank you Garrison.
The Lord bless you too!
Blessings to you too, Michael. Aren’t we lucky to know that Our Lord loves us? His Blessings come to us because of his Love. They also come because of our love and belief in Him as our savior. Once we are able to do that, we’re in.
Jesus forgave me all that debt – I know that I’m the luckiest guy in the world! We owe it to Him to be all that He wants us to be, and to dedicate our lives to doing all He has commanded us to do, and love one another! Jesus has held out His right hand to us, because He wants us to be His friends! Think about what all that means! 🙂
The Lord bless and keep you, Garrison. It’s an honor to make your acquaintance. Things are busy and it’s been crowded here, but I’m always with you with upticks. Hugs to the Treepers, banishment to the creepers.
You’ve been much on my mind this week, JWoo. You and Miss Della, who have both been absent from our sight, but not from my heart.
I’m glad to see you this bless-ed Sunday morning, and I pray all is well for dear Della, my southern sister.🙏🏻😘
Good morning, Eagle Eye Little Big Thunder Not Bette Midler! I think I’ll stick with Bet, already tired of typing. 😍 We’ll save your full name for official occasions.
Heading to church early to be the greeter. My bride is teaching children’s Sunday school and the children’s church so she and Nipper will be joining me later.
‘Blessed Sunday to you, dear sister, and to all our friends swinging from the branches here. 😂❤️
I love your name for Betsy, Grandpa. It is wonderful! Bless you and yours and your precious Nipper.
😂😂😂😂😂!!!
I see your point, dear brother. Saying it is one thing, typing it out is another completely…yep, I’m good with the short version👍🏻 But I truly do appreciate your Herculean efforts. After church, you might need a lie down to recover.
Be blessed, all of you…to the best Meeter-Greeter evah!!😘
Your so funny Bet 🙂
I just chuckled , so I figured, why not say so .
☘️
Herculean efforts ❤️😁
I can just see him typing away…pause for some refreshment, wiping his brow…and going back to it.😂
Worse than doing his taxes.
Thank you, my dear friend for inspiring that imagined scenario.
Good morning GrandpaM . Eagle Eye Big Thunder . Agree with that , she lifts us up
And look!! A Southern stare if ever I saw one!!😎
And oh, what a beautifully chosen song, my friend, for this glorious creature made by our God of all creation.🙏🏻💕

The eagle eyed big thunder
Watchin over the tree
😆
Good morning Molonlabe!
Good day GrandpaM
I had a good day today
Hope you did too
☘️
Know that we love you very much, Betsy, but my comments will be few for reasons that God knows.
Fortunately, Truth is always revealed.
I am grateful for the Truth revealed here with Sundance’s journalism and for the true brothers and sisters of the Tree. I care very deeply for you all and your willingness to share your lives.
But not everyone on this Tree is True… and some known personally in real life… so thank the Lord for wise Spiritual discernment to know the difference and to be able to steer accordingly away from one who’s quite damaging.
I won’t say more but felt an explanation was necessary.
No explanation needed. No demands ever, dear sister. Life has them. But not this loving place…
We look out for one another with loving concern. Just as with Poyeema, whose sudden extended absence was very much noticed, and who has returned today explaining the reason.
Praying for a smoothing of your roads and a filling in of the pot holes not of your making but which must be negotiated nevertheless. 😘🙏🏻
So just for you…from my favourite Welsh bass baritone…
God bless the friends reaching out, in hospital/home, putting their hands upon me, to wash my hair, help me dress (in bed clothes!), bring clothing to keep chill off my neck, bring groceries, send flowers, send consistent notes, texts purposely to make me laugh…..and continuing.
Church prayer chain. Shared with community groups, and other Churches I am involved with.
God is good.
God is present.
Prayer works.
Thank you, my friend, for the effort I am sure it took to reply.
It was only a couple of days into your absence that I started to be concerned. I sometimes take a breather for a day, so hoped with each morning to see you and your faithful postings of Scripture which are such a mainstay for us all.
But as the days passed and you continued to be absent, something told me all was not well.
It seems to be potluck these days as to what sort of care one receives in hospitals which have shamefully dropped their purpose. More shamefully that it extends to the avocation of nursing someone in physical trouble, such as you found yourself. Not everywhere of course, but in too many hospitals.
My father, a compassionate surgeon, knew every nurse he worked with…and they knew him and his dedication to those, like you, whose lives at the moment of need were in his hands….and in His hands. So these nurses tended to the patients under my father’s care in the same compassionate way. It makes all the difference for successful healing.
I am so glad you were in those same hands, in both respects. Yes, prayer does work. It is, or should be, our Great Healer to whom we turn first and always. I have seen the results of such intense prayerful requests too many times to doubt it.
And so while you mention the four people you witnessed to, I think you have added so many more to that number by letting us know why you were absent from our Tree. Who knows how many in these branches. We can’t begin to put a number too those who pass through but who do not comment.
We are all so grateful for the care you received during your ordeal, Poyeema. And for a first hand testimony from you as to the power which prayer has. A power so great which has returned you to those bless-ed place.💕
Amen and Amen! 🙂
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hello Poyeema
I wanted to say hello to you.
I don’t know you.
But have read your posts.
You have people with you most of the time.
That is a good thing.
You can post things here and talk to these nice people.
They care about you.
When everyone leaves the room , you are not alone.
We are right here for you.
I am happy to get to know you.
If you feel you want to pray,
We are here to pray with you .
When you say your daily prayers know that we are saying them with you.

She says hello
Don’t ya just love it
☘️🌸☘️
It was your call
It brought her in
☘️
Hi Molon! Sooo good to see you!
Yes, things can get a little weird around here, right?
It has to be God!
Blessings prayed for you.
It IS Almighty God! No coincidences, no question about it.💕
We are heard, my dear friend. As you always post, when two or three are gathered together…an absolute certainty.😊
Mornin’ Bet. 🙂
Good morning, my friend. I guess you’ll be headed towards your favourite breakfast place this morning. Eat up and enjoy!😘
A blessed Sunday to you, Betsy! Thanks for concern!💕
(Hmmm… you do have an “eagle eye!”
Been under weather with sinus infection, plan in the works for little sinus surgery in week or two.
But it’s nothing compared to what other Treepers are going through!
As Garrison said in a post today, just slogging on to brighter side. Isn’t that life for each of us?
I pray for all.
Praying for a successful surgery, Della. 🙏🏻
Thanks,Grandpa!
Hello Grandpa. I’ve read some of your posts about your little GS going to church with you.
That touches my heart deeply and brings back wonderful memories.
I, too, took my GS to Sunday School and church from infancy to twelve years old. Every single week.
He loved it and was always excited to go.
Now, forward a little. He’s almost 27! And he remembers all those times at church and still talks about things he learned from God’s word. I wouldn’t take anything for those days. Enjoy each and every one!
I have interesting story for another time about when he asked Jesus to save him. It slays me…🥲
Slain in the Spirit
☘️
Can’t wait!!
Amen Grandpa
As a long time sinus sufferer, I am all sympathy…and empathy, dear friend, and pray this will sort out all your problems. I know how painful they are.
How strange…yesterday, my husband texted a dear, dear friend of his who was his immediate boss when we first arrived back on these shores, but with whom we became very close. Every time I sent hubby off to work with his lunch (always because cheaper doncha know), if I made him egg sandwiches I would make Steve one, who loved them just as much. He spent five long years studying to become a deacon in the Catholic Church, decided upon suddenly one day after church on the way back to the car. He continued through prostate cancer, now cured. I think God tapped him on the shoulder at the beginning, and knew that whatever trials he met along the way that he would one day be ordained, as indeed he has been.
Just a bit of background before telling you that he returned my husband’s text with a picture of himself smiling in a hospital bed, also having just had sinus surgery.
And so that’s the way I know you’ll be after yours. Smiling and successfully treated. I know this because we’ll all be in your corner praying it will be so. Much love to you, Della, as always😘
I’ve never had sinus problems until five years ago. Then, boom…
Four years ago, I had a sinus balloon procedure which helped a lot, until six months ago.
So, my doc suggests the balloon procedure again. I’m not doing the major surgery.
That sounds like what your friend had! (Bless his heart!)
I remember your post awhile back about making your husband’s friend a sandwich for lunch! Egg-salad, I believe. That was so sweet!
I pray your friend will heal quickly without much pain. Hopefully, he’ll find welcome relief in days ahead. 🙏🏻
Funny thing, my mamma had a saying I heard all my life: “Never say never!”
And after my first sinus procedure, I made a promise (to myself) that I would NEVER do that again!
While walking out of doctor’s office with recommendation to get this done, I heard my mamma’s voice again, “never say never!” But she passed away several years ago. They never really leave us, do they. 😅 😅
Boy oh boy, was your mother right.
Another axiom I’ve always kept in the recesses of my mind…
Don’t ever think it can’t happen to you.
And no, they never leave us. It’s called the wisdom down the ages…what would we ever do without it!💕
That’s an excellent one to remember and keep in forefront of my mind!
I had this very thought as Americans watched -in horror- the Ohio train wreck.
Yep, that could be here in my neck of the woods.
We saw a terrible story about a man without a home found in a culvert running through a major road in Dallas. No other information.
And as always it broke my heart to imagine his life and wonder how far he had come from the precious little one he was. How did he get to this point where he died in these circumstances, alone.
So while we see people of all ages in all different kinds of trouble they very likely never thought they’d see themselves in, and watch the condemnation or indifference flow…this is exactly what I think of.
Because we never know the day that we might find ourselves in situations we, in our present ones, think we are exempt from. One just never knows…
Heartbreaking…that’s why compassion should always be a first response.
This made me think of another man who died a derelict – Stephen Foster.
He was famous songwriter in 1800s, wrote Camptown Races, O, Susanna, and more.
He began life well, but didn’t end it that way.
Not sure how accurate Wikipedia is:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Foster
Sorry you haven’t been feeling well, Della. Hoping the sinus surgery goes well and brings you much relief. May God guide the surgeon’s capable hands and may recovery be swift for you. In Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, Amen
Thank you much, JWoo… All of us have to keep reaching for the “hem”of His garment, till one day we’ll be with “Him.” 🌸
I will pray for you too, Della. The Lord is with you.
Thank you, Michael. I really appreciate that! God bless…
Bet
If you see this,
I was thinkin of Mary
There was a Mary here when I first climbed.
She was very nice .
I looked at her website.
Very cool website.
Her whole life is laid right out in it.
Wonderful person.
Is she here often .
Just thinkin
☘️🌸☘️
I think her name was Mary
Before I started commenting, I read this site daily. And I would sometimes take screenshots of different commenters’ posts which I found so lovely. I still have them stored for safe keeping.
Well after I started posting, I remembered one in particular and searched for it, only to find out it was our Garrison’s. Whoever knew at the time that one day, this faceless man would be a friend, whose heart we know well. Life is funny, isn’t it? I have more from others, and you’ve inspired me to find them again.
So people come here, leave their memorable marks, then vanish. We may never know why they are absent, but they forever remain Treepers, whom we’ve met on our individual paths…and that is very very nice.💕
Thanks Bet
You are most welcome🤗
Good morning JWoo! JWoo , like Bet I’ve been wondering about you these past few days. Figured you were busy with work and the kid. Good to see you back. 😀
Work indeed has overwhelmed as our work is seasonal and thus with Spring the volume begins. (My job is year round however with tuning of various systems. ) We were unsuccessful hiring the help needed to give me respite so I dig in and keep going. It’s a decent job which makes me 100% available for kiddo’s needs. Two more years of high school to go and then maybe I’ll pursue change. The flexibility of my job is important to us.
I replied to our Bet regarding my absence.
Always with you in Spirit by sweet Tree friends.
Your work situation mirrors exactly the one my overworked daughter’s does. Needs competent assistance who she must have confidence in. Hasn’t received it, and yet her boss keeps piling on more and more, all of which must receive her undivided attention…not easy. Especially with three busy teens. At least the boys are driving and can help out…
I’m sure she would nod her head in sisterly commiseration.💕
Read your reply to Bet and absolutely understand.
I make it a point to never query an absence, G. None of us do. Sometimes I think one would like to know their absence is noted, and that they are thought of.💕
Well shucks, JWoo . . . Thank you for your very kind words. I am, however, just an ordinary guy who has pretty good taste in music. It’s great knowing you, too. Life can sometimes throw tons of detritus our way and, when that happens, we just have to slog through it all in order to come out to the brighter other side. And even if it doesn’t seem like it, there is a brighter other side. Be well, darlin’. We’re on your side. 🙂
Blessings always, Garrison.
How faithful you’ve been every Sunday, posting this “benediction” and the lovely voices of VOCES8.
…and so I leave this with you and all our beloved congregation, knowing the power of His unending mercies because of the unfathomable love Almighty God has for us sinners, and the substitutionary sacrifice of the Spotless Lamb, His Son, Christ Jesus.
Jesse Norman sings Amazing Grace
Sunday Blessings to you, too, Bet. The benediction just seems appropriate or maybe it’s because I’m such a creature of habit. When I first heard The Parting Glass and then discovered the timeless history in its words, I realized it was pretty special. As for returning to Voces8. I like choral music but think they’re the best of the best. Their music just seems a natural fit to the Face Vocal Band’s performance of The Parting Glass. And besides, as we’ve often said, a benediction is a fitting reminder that the there’s a church in the Treehouse Open Thread.
I remember saying to you long ago that though this beautifully performed Irish ballad might seem to be about one thing, the words of it transformed it into another for me.
It was your agreement with that feeling, and most important your describing it as a benediction, even though one could rightly say not in the way we think of one, which has forever made it so for our sheltering Tree.
I was familiar with the vocal purity of those gifted singers which comprise VOCES8 for quite a while. And so I was thrilled beyond measure when you first posted them, and continue to do so to this day. They personify choral perfection with their well matched voices, no one of those voices outshining the other. Just perfect symmetry in whatever they sing. Pleasing to the ear, very satisfying for the soul.
Morning Garrison!
Mornin’ Gramps. Have a blessed day, my friend. 🙂
Good morning Garrison
Great music you do play
Thanks ☘️

The parting glass song reminds me of this tree we are in .
One person comes in ,
Then another
Then another

Long live the tree
The roots are deep and watered daily. No doubt about that😉
🙂
VERY nice, my friend.
This is my favorite Sibelius symphony. There wasn’t music in my family growing up so I didn’t hear classical music until I started working at our campus radio station. Sibelius #2 was one of the first symphonies I heard “all the way through” . . .
As my taste in classical music has, I’ll say, matured, it has changed. Sibelius is one composer I’ve grown into, so it was a treat for me to see you post this one. His no 5 is powerful as well.
THE GOSPEL SHOWS THE FATHER’S GRACE
Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all humility toward all men. For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you affirm confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men; but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. -condemned.
— Titus 3:1-10
“he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit”
Amen! 🙂
Thank you 1530 – The Lord be with you
And with your spirit.
What a lovely hymn, 1530, so beautifully played. 🙏🏻Thank you.

The first recording of an ancient Greek folk song
Very strange sounding music… it just meanders. Interesting how similar to Arabic tones.
The song was unusual and piqued my curiosity. Apparently the title mea s “Egyptian Girl”

Tonight I watched the last half of “Almost Famous”. I’ve watched this movie probably a half-a-dozen times and it never fails to spark fond memories of my 70’s time in Austin. I was fortunate enough to know people who were written as characters in this especially fine movie. There was this old store up on Mt. Bonnel which had a wooden back deck. It was a perfect spot to quietly alter your state-of-conscious while watching spledid Texas sunsets. Buncha’ hippies . . . 🙂
Brings back memories of Wahoos on SPI. Those were the days. Well, while staying conscious…of course. I miss the sunsets.
Meaning I never participated in various versions of consciousness… always just the sleep… not asleep… variety. Lol
Were they really that spectacular? I realize nostalgia filters reality but, in my mind’s eye, those sunsets really are out there . . . waiting for us to climb onto that old wooden deck one more time.
I think the Dry Creek Store is still there. Wouldn’t it be great if we could climb up, turn around three times, and suddenly like this movie scene we’re back in 1973? I think that’s why I like Almost Famous so much.

INFERIOR MISGIVINGS ABOUT JESUS
“Sir, Thou hast nothing to draw with.” John vi. 11
“I am impressed with the wonder of what God says, but He cannot expect me really to live it out in the details of my life!” When it comes to facing Jesus Christ on His own merits, our attitude is one of pious superiority – Your ideals are high and they impress us, but in touch with actual things, it cannot be done. Each of us thinks about Jesus in this way in some particular. These misgivings about Jesus start from the amused questions put to us when we talk of our transactions with God – Where are you going to get your money from? How are you going to be looked after? Or they start from ourselves when we tell Jesus that our case is a bit too hard for Him. It is all very well to say “Trust in the Lord,” but a man must live, and Jesus has nothing to draw with – nothing whereby to give us these things. Beware of the pious fraud in you which says – I have no misgivings about Jesus, only about myself. None of us ever had misgivings about ourselves; we know exactly what we cannot do, but we do have misgivings about Jesus. We are rather hurt at the idea that He can do what we cannot.
My misgivings arise from the fact that I ransack my own person to find out how He will be able to do it. My questions spring from the depths of my own inferiority. If I detect these misgivings in myself, let me bring them to the light and confess them – “Lord, I have had misgivings about Thee, I have not believed in Thy wits apart from my own; I have not believed in Thine almighty power apart from my finite understanding of it.”

True! I try to figure out how He will fix things. It should be enough to know that He will.
So true Rileytrips.
And the way that He fixes things is always the best way and often one that would never occur to me to try in a million years.
Me, too, Colorado – many times after He fixes, you could blow me over with a feather!
Bless-ed Sunday morning, dear sister. Do we all not come to this wondering at points in our lives? Chambers admits that he does. Our faith needs careful tending every day with the patient and loving help of the Lord, Who knows every human frailty, if we only ask with penitent hearts.
Here is a garden full of tranquility for you to rest in today before your week starts anew.😘
Beautiful, Bet. And so evocative of the remarkable sense of stillness that our kitties create simply by being around us. This kitty is home. His/her’s surroundings are familiar and completely comfortable and safe-feeling. The image conveys a wonderful sense of safety and contentment. Good kitty! 🙂
I felt the same, Garrison. Instantly. I am in this garden in spirit. Could see myself in it physically, but as it is not possible (alas) I’ll settle for this💕
Sooo lovely! I could hang out here a lot, as this is my kind of place – and kitty’s, too! She’s in cat-heaven…
All we’d need is afternoon tea…crustless cucumber sandwiches, a bit of cake, a warmed pot of Earl Grey tea (or whatever suits), and our best china. Perfection!
Oh, that sounds amazing! I’m ready! Get your little pinky in good working order…🥰
Hahahahaaaa!! Flexing now!
Betsy… VERY NICE A PICTURE..
Isn’t it?? I’m so glad you loved it, as I did.

Updates:
Our former kitty is now a bloated black beauty momma. We cannot believe she’s not yet given birth. She’s still eating like a dog!
Our Border Collie is ready for pickup next Saturday at the ranch in Waco. Rhonda hasn’t named her yet.
Zoe’s health is on a steady glide downward. I’ve never been more proud of my beloved as she ministers to her momma. Though the youngest, Rhonda’s the obvious favorite and her siblings yield to her strong guidance through this process. She’s like a sweet nurse wrapped in a field general. Tireless. Beautiful.
Grace abounds! ✝️
So much in your lives now, Frank. I pray Zoe is in little to no distress as she awaits her eternal beautiful life with the Saviour of our souls. God bless always your loving wife, her daughter, for her devotion. 🙏🏻💕
Blessings and love to your family, Frank. What a precious leader of your tribe you are and so wonderful for you to honor your bride. Praying for Zoe that she is comforted during this difficult time. Prayers for your calm and peace. In Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN
Our Lord’s Blessing to you all, Frank. Grace abounds, indeed. Congratulations on your new puppy! Your words reminded me, once again, of our sense of loss when our border collie, Sweetie, died. I’m workin’ up to getting another dog. And I’d love to find another Sweetiepie. If you get a chance would you mind posting a photo of your new puppy?
Good morning, my friend. Could you have selected anything more profoundly beautiful for this peaceful photo?
If ever I need to rest my soul and renew my strength, Hymn of the Cherubim is what I listen to, and it is done. Blessings to you, and thank you for posting it.💕

Good morning, dear Joe. It’s a thing to see these darling babies…and another to consider what they will grow into. Magnificent strong animals, beautiful to see.
Blessings to you and your beloved wife.🙏🏻💕
Good afternoon, Bet. Tigers are beautiful animals, especially when they’re cubs. But I don’t think I’d want to shake hands (or paws) with a full grown one.
I’m back from grocery shopping and visiting with my wife. I went earlier today, as we are expecting severe weather later this evening. She slept most of the time I sat with her but opened her eyes for a couple of minutes. She knew I was by her bed side.
56 degrees F and cloudy; there’s a wind advisory in my area. Still calm, slight breeze outside. Tonight, around 10pm, is when the storm is supposed to arrive. We’ll see.
Have a blessed day, stay safe.
Oh, she felt your presence, Joe. One of those things which are felt, but can’t be explained. So glad you were able to be there. Very.
Our temps are mild at the moment, winds up. Hope you will get some rain. If you’ve been like us, you probably need it. And since we don’t know when the new time comes, I am always so grateful for what we get.🤗

Will there be a revival?
Quotes:
For the past two weeks, tens of thousands of people, most of them college students, poured into a small chapel at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. Some drove from South Carolina and Oklahoma. Others flew in from Canada and Singapore. They waited in line for hours to stand next to people they share nothing in common with except for a single conviction: God was visiting a two-stoplight town in Kentucky.
Religion has been on the decline in America for years. But last year, for the first time in American history, house-of-worship membership dropped below 50%. And nowhere is the decline in religion and faith more dramatic than when you look at our youngest generation. Gen Z is the most likely generation ever to say they don’t believe in God, and they are the least religiously affiliated and the least likely to attend church.
Zoomers are also a generation riddled with anxiety and depression, and inundated with nihilistic and fatalistic messages – TV shows, movies, pop songs – throughout the culture. In poll after poll, they are the generation with the least positive outlook on life. The CDC recently published a report stating that “almost 60% of female students experienced persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness during the past year.”
And yet, in this tiny chapel in Kentucky, God, faith, meaning and hope have been on full display.
What moved so many young people to nonstop prayer – more than 250 hours – at a moment like this? How did this revival come to be? And why is it happening now?
Today, Free Press reporter Olivia Reingold explains from the chapel at the Asbury Revival.

News clip:
Soul Savers “Revival”
It is wonderful to see the spreading of the coming together, this revival, from Asbury.
I see from another source that a revival is happening at Texas A&M. Unalloyed good news and so hopeful. May this spread like wild fire.
I pray such a revival covers Texas like the morning dew, as my dear GD is in university there.
Oh, dear Lord, make it happen. They need You. 🙏🏻 🙏🏻
Amen, Amen!!
I saw this story a few days before it, too, spread like wild fire. Together with these revivals, my hope in these students’ generation is growing. Teenagers who have realized there are others in this ole world of ours and whose spark of giving so that others’ problems can be eased made my heart burst with gladness.

“What moved so many young people to nonstop prayer – more than 250 hours – at a moment like this? How did this revival come to be? And why is it happening now?”
There are legitimate questions as to why what was called a revival happened when it happened:
‘Asbury “Revival”—Letter to the Editor Raises Concerns About Possible Pre-Planned Exploits’
https://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/blog/?p=35804
At all times – – and especially with possibly dwindling offers in the coffers, it’s good to stand guard at the door where hirelings and grievous wolves would like to enter, just as Paul warned in Act 20:28-31:
“Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has set you overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which He purchased with the own blood. I know that after my departure, grievous wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock, and out from your own selves, men will rise up, speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them. Therefore stay awake, remembering that three years night and day I never ceased admonishing each one with tears.”
Lighthouse blog is registered with a state ( Montana) that’s clear across the other side of the United States. Kentucky is in the Bible belt. Where I grew up in Kentucky there was practically a church on every corner. My aunt met her husband at Asbury. I can assure you they were not “new Age”. They worked with the Billy Graham organization back when George Beverly Shea was singing.
Non-stop prayer? Christians have prayer vigils. They schedule times when they can be there and pray. They ask why now? Why not, with all the evil happening now? Did the letter writer ask about the big donation page on this Montana blog? Be careful about judging preachers or revivals. You might be criticizing what God has blessed.
I know how the Holy Spirit can come down and touch you. I was about 8-9 years old, not a Christian. There was an alter call and people were calmly praying. I felt something, what I know now was the Holy Spirit. A woman in back of me tapped me on the shoulder and ask me if I wanted to come up to the front. I didn’t know until she tapped me on the shoulder that I had tears going down my cheeks. It definitely was not “New Age”.
Just listened to the preacher today preach about the church in Ephesus “losing their first love”.
One example he gave:a love of doctrine, but lost their first love , a love of Jesus Christ.
Maybe the blog out in Montana and the person that wrote the letter to the editor is like the Ephesian church, lost their first love. They talked about the revival departure. Could they be the “grievous wolves that will come in among you” which they accuse the Asbury college revival?
As far as one site being in Montana while commenting on the event in Kentucky, doesn’t the host of this site live in Florida, yet he comments on events in Washington and throughout the world on a regular basis? Not sure what that has to do with the price of tea in China.
I personally think it’s a good idea in a time where there’s one scandal after another in churches to ask reasonable questions. That’s especially when hirelings and grievous wolves are going to be targeting the youth. Anyone who comes to this site knows that asking legitimate questions about things is a good practice. At least those at the link presented their questions with sources and the ability for anyone to reply with opinions, evidence, what have you.
If you want to raise the “grievous wolves“ question towards them, it might be helpful to do so with compelling evidence, which might be combined with refuting anything that was written in what was posted. People examining fruit is a biblical thing, last I checked. If you read what was posted, neither the editors nor the letter writer seemed to be condemning all involved versus a call for applying needed discernment:
“Lighthouse Trails does not question the sincerity of those at the Asbury gathering who may be truly committing or re-committing their lives to the Lord in humility, repentance, and reverence but is concerned about harmful exploits that can potentially hurt many while calling something a move of God that in reality may be a pre-planned event which could become part of a false revival.”
They might not be able to speak for where the church was when you were eight or nine or when you’re aunt met somebody in Kentucky, but there are a lot of figures like Rick Warren, Francis Chan, and others not from Kentucky that were reportedly involved in an event just held at Asbury, the one which the school president and the others reportedly decided would be the last Hughes auditorium gathering related to all of this.
Obviously if you feel free enough to ask if people have lost their “first love“ as some dare to ask questions of movements with remarkably convenient timing and confluence of events, then the people at that site and here – – and me – – can certainly ask. Remember that “be careful“ on the spiritual side of things goes for all parties involved.
Hi, Donna…JDV had posted something similar today in response to my post in regards to this current outpouring that is blessedly spreading throughout America. Here is my response:
MT. 9:
29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”
Acts 5:
39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
Romans 5:
20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more
MT. 7:
16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
I am very grateful to God for having been ‘born again’ during the Jesus Revolution of the early 70’s. I am also very grateful to have been blessed, along with my children, in the Toronto Blessing that began in ’94. To be alive long enough to witness a 3rd powerful outpouring of the Lord’s Spirit humbles me and causes me to feel honored, as well.
Will there be skeptics and scoffers in these last days? Absolutely. God said it would be so.
2 Pet. 2:
3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
God promised: Joel 2:
‘God’s Spirit Poured Out’
28 “And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
30 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth:
Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
32 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.
For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance,
As the Lord has said,
Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.
Glory to God in the Highest!

Mine as well. She had one of the loveliest soprano voices ever I’ve heard, which was perfect for this of Handel’s.
Incidentally, the first time I heard Let the Bright Seraphim it was sung at the wedding of then Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. It was sung by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, as specifically requested by Prince Charles.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

✟
“And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”
Exodus 33:14 (KJV)
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered!!!
The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. – John 14:26
How is your memory? Not for your grocery or to-do list but of God’s good work in your life? Remembering is an important spiritual practice and, when you begin to exercise it, the Holy Spirit steps in and enlivens the effort to bring blessing to you and glory to God.
The Bible is a story of remembering, like when God remembered Noah or His covenants with Abraham and David. In the New Testament, Jesus set a table and instructed His followers to eat and drink in remembrance of His sacrifice and love.
The author of Psalm 77 describes the spiritual act of remembrance beautifully, maybe you can identify with this thought process: “I am so troubled that I cannot speak … will the Lord never again be favorable? … Has God forgotten to be gracious? … I will remember the deeds of the Lord, yes, I will ponder all your work … your way O God is holy. What god is great like our God.
You are the God who works wonders, you have made known you might among the peoples. You with your arm redeemed your people” (Psalm 77:4-15).
The psalmist goes from despair to hope without having put down his pen. The act of remembering eliminates fear and fuels faith in his spirit. Take a moment right now and remember what God has done for you in the past. Say it out loud and write it down!
Pray for America’s leaders to remember God’s faithfulness and provision to the nation. Ask that voters will also use their memory to elect people who have shown faithfulness to God’s principles in the past.

Private Note: Back from unexpected 2 week hospital stay. Prayer & surgeon saved my life. Recovery will be long, thrilled with each layer God provides. Had never witnessed to anyone and it was a concern. Never a good memory for quoting Bible passages, did learn what I have a talent for, Bible stories. Had the great good fortune, both arms filled with IV’s, no bath, filthy hair knotted into a bird’s nest, stinky, hospital gown, (rather John the Baptist)to witness to 4 caretakers over the weeks. Using their spot in life, with appropriate Bible stories. It was common practice to ask anyone helping me about their lives. Everyone, literally, is living a huge life. God is good.
Head’s up: If you have stomach pain & a temperature, Go To Doctor.
Poyeema, so glad you are on the mend! And that you used the opportunity to engage in such a creative way with the staff!
You’ve been much missed, Poyeema. I am so sorry it was for the reason you have spoken of. And much relieved and so grateful that you are on the mend, with the guided hands of those who attended to you.
So in spite of your terrible experience and misery (been there) you were able to witness to four souls whose lives were enriched because you were where you were. God has been merciful to you and in your desperate state has allowed you to deliver a needful ear for others whose paths have crossed yours. His blessed mysterious ways🙏🏻
Continued healing blessings I pray for you as you regain good health. God is good.
Sorry to hear of your trouble, Poyeema, and glad you’re on recovery road.
Saying a prayer for you.
May God continue to provide all of your needs! Especially His peace.

“But the most obvious fact about praise — whether of God or anything — strangely escaped me. I thought of it in terms of compliment, approval, or the giving of honor. I had never noticed that all enjoyment spontaneously overflows into praise. … The world rings with praise — lovers praising their mistresses, readers their favorite poet, walkers praising the countryside, players praising their favorite game. … I think we delight to praise what we enjoy because the praise not merely expresses but completes the enjoyment; it is its appointed consummation.”

Sundance & everyone, this is really, REALLY bad; I’m going to post the entire article (from Breitbart.com) . . . . I don’t subscribe to the New York Times so I can’t see that part. I wonder if we can all shine a BRIGHT LIGHT on this & do our best to get local, state, & Federal officials to STOP all of this from happening? Pressure on companys to REFUSE to exploit migrant children & ignore child labor laws should be effective with enough sunlight. May God assist & guide us in our work; amen!
Finally: New York Times Admits Biden’s ‘Migrant Children Work Brutal Jobs’
by NEIL MUNRO 25 Feb 2023
Hundreds of thousands of migrant teenagers are working “brutal jobs” to pay off their smuggling debts amid President Joe Biden’s loose border rules, the New York Times admitted in a February 25 article.
“Cristian works a construction job instead of going to school. He is 14 … Carolina packages Cheerios at night in a factory. She is 15 … Wander starts looking for day-labor jobs before sunrise. He is 13,” are the newspaper’s captions of photographs showing young teenagers admitted via the “Unaccompanied Alien Child” border loophole.
The children usually work for staffing companies at low-wage subsidiaries of Fortune 500 companies, such as PepsiCo., General Mills, Walmart, Target, and Ben & Jerry’s.
The article is headlined: “Alone and Exploited, Migrant Children Work Brutal Jobs Across the U.S.”
The article may crack the bipartisan establishment’s shameful silence about its wealth-shifting policy of extracting teenagers — and millions of foreign migrants — to replace sidelined U.S. workers.
The report by Hannah Dreier admits:
In November 2020, Dreier posted an excellent report on child workers for ProPublica.org.
The expanding population of child workers has been an open secret in Washington D.C. for several years. Breitbart News has extensively covered the official support and media tolerance for this child labor force.
The silence is ensured by Democrats’ claim they are merely protecting “unaccompanied” children in a “Nation of Immigrants.” But that claim is entwined with Democratic donors’ demands for more immigrant workers, renters, and consumers.
Biden’s progressive deputies have admitted roughly 320,000 migrant children since January 2021. “About two-thirds of all unaccompanied migrant children ended up working full time,” the newspaper reported.
GOP legislators also are silent about the scandal, even though the Democrat-backed child abuse is far larger and more deliberate than Trump’s supposed “separation” policies of 2018 and 2019. GOP leaders forego the political opportunity likely because they do not want to antagonize their local donors by ever mentioning the economic purposes of the government’s migration laws.
The youth labor trafficking pipeline was largely stopped in 2020 by former President Donald Trump amid loud opposition from Democrats and immigration reporters.
The article by the New York Times, however, is likely to crack the establishment silence about the massive scale of child exploitation.
Unsurprisingly, the newspaper soft-pedals the complicity of Democrats and migration advocates in this human rights scandal.
For example, the newspaper minimizes any mention of the two architects of the child labor force — Biden and his pro-migration border chief, Alejandro Mayorkas.
So the newspaper offered a no-name, passive-voice description of how the problem grew after the Democratic Party’s investor-and-progressive coalition pushed President Donald Trump out of the White House:
Instead, the newspaper drops the blame on Xavier Becerra, secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, which is supposed to protect child migrants. “Staff members said in interviews that Mr. Becerra continued to push for faster results, often asking why they could not discharge children with machine-like efficiency,” the newspaper reported.
Many of the teenagers are being released by Biden’s deputies to recognized labor traffickers — not to friendly relatives, the newspaper says. The traffickers force the teenagers to work long hours at low wages and also take debt payments from the children before they can send cash back to their poor families.
The newspaper’s focus on Becerra may divert media attention from Mayorkas, who faces impeachment by GOP members in the House.

Extraction Migration
The federal government has long operated an economic policy of “Extraction Migration.” The policy extracts vast amounts of human resources from needy countries and uses the imported workers, renters, and consumers to grow Wall Street and the economy.
The migrant inflow has successfully forced down Americans’ wages and also boosted rents and housing prices. The inflow has also pushed many native-born Americans out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors, reduced native-born Americans’ political clout, and contributed to the rising death rate of poor Americans.
The policy also sucks jobs and wealth from heartland states by subsidizing coastal investors with a flood of low-wage workers, high-occupancy renters, and government-aided consumers.
The colonization-like policy has also killed many thousands of unrecognized migrants, including many on the taxpayer-funded jungle trail through the Darien Gap in Panama.

The shock is that it is the NYT printed this!! Why?? You’d think they’d be the absolute last one to do so.
That it’s happening and has been for longer than we could possibly know, makes me feel physically ill and tearful.
How long, O Lord??
