Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Morning Ya’ll 🙂
Mornin’ jay 🙂
Howdy Garrison 🇺🇸🤠🇺🇸
Beautiful as always, Jay. Looks like Lake Michigan in winter. Praying for our precious waterways and the safety and wellbeing of all who depend on them. (Which is to say… all of us. What happens to Ohio, happens to all of us.)
Blessings Treepers
🇺🇸🙏🏻🇺🇸
Amen, JWoo!!!!
💕🙏🇺🇸
Good morning JWoo! Yes, the evil one is after all of us, who call on the Name of the Lord. The good news is that Jesus has already won! Hallelujah!
Yes and Amen!
Hello, Pa❣️
What a gentle scene! And that bench is a PERFECT complement to the restfulness it brings out in me. Just lovely!
🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
Yes indeed, Mary. Big sighs from me.
Good Bench Morning Stick Poking Monday, Mr jay💕
Good choice of quote. Thought provoking.
Ducks at least tend to form some sort of line. Now if we were talking about cats?
No chance.😉
🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Hahahahahaaaaaa!! Not bad, Lorrie. Looks pretty straight to me😁
You cannot herd cats.
And, according to “little boy wisdom” I read some years back:
“You can’t baptize cats”
Apparently the experience was memorable….
Truth there, Greg. I’ve got a mental picture…and it ain’t pretty😁.
🦆 🦆 🦆 💕
All in a row…as ducks do😘
Perfecto!!A little untidy in that line, fellas…but close enough.😁
Maidin Mhaith Betsy
Mom he’s poking me 😁😁
😂😂😂😂😂
Good afternoon, Bet. Hope you’re having a blessed day.
70 degrees F here and cloudy, can you believe it? I don’t see any storms coming here in the next few days. I’m sitting here once again with the back door open so the big girls can go in and out.
Life is good, no complaints.
Wow. James O’Keefe resigns from Project Veritas. There has to be more to that story than what meets the eye.
Good afternoon noon, Joe. I was just thinking g about you, wondering where you were, dear sir.
We are the same!!! In fact, it seems, according to rah, we may have well passed our last cold blast.
I hope so, because I’ve just seen both redbud and crab apple blossoms peeping… and mercifully some new growth starting to emerge on our pittoqsporums which, normally a hardy plant, got hit badly by those icy days on December. Other so called hardy wax leaf ligustrums have also shed all their clothes. Hoping they’ll return because otherwise they’ll have to go.
Saw that, and Sundance has a thread up and running on this right now.
He’s one of a very few ethical journalists today. His personal story indicates to me he will build something better. For those who stupidly cut their own throats, they will soon reap the results of their machinations and perfidy.
No James? No PV.
Good to hear your roads are smooth without potholes for the moment. We take those moments when we are blessed with them and enjoy them. 💕 🤗
A mighty good supply. One for each day of the week, if needed…and beyond👍🏻
Will the circle be unbroken?
-Fowl play🤔

Morning, Patience and Ma😘😘…I saw a remarkable video the other day.
A line of cars stopped while a “crossing guard” male turkey stood in the road in front of them with all his feathers spread in majestic glory.
And he stood there while every member of his haram crossed in a straight line. When they were safely away, only then he put his feathers down. Turned and followed them to safety.
I keep saying, what we think we know of God’s creations, in our arrogance we probably know just a fraction.
Ta for the cuppa🤗 💕)
That’s too funny; actually. The fact that traffic stopped (and waited) is telling.
-So much for who is king of the jungle.
Not to mention that calling someone a turkey is insulting. 🤔😂
We used to see this all the time in rural Wales. Not turkeys, but ducks…
Once on my way into town on the last approach of the six mile drive in, just on the outskirts by an industrial estate behind which ran the River Dee, I stopped as a mother duck and her brood were making their way towards the river.
She seemed to need a little rest because she herself had stopped right on the middle of the road.
Eventually, she crossed, hopped up on the curb and her babies followed…most managed to hop up as well, but there were two or three stragglers who were having a bit of difficulty.
So I got out of the car, traffic both ways recognizing the issue having stopped, and gently lifted each one onto the curb.
Mama then waddled off with her chatty little following. Everyone waved to one another and we all motored on.
I should add this was a common occurrence so near the river were we. We all did what we can when when the need arose. One of the things I miss the most…💕
Morning Bet! Looks more like a month supply to me. 😂
Morning, dear brother😘 Never hurts to have extras!
I figured that would last until noon
Down to the last three…
Jay, you did it. I had been trying to recall a song that used to be played routinely on a Saturday morning TV program back in the day, and altough the lyrics seem off this is it – Act Naturally.
I give you “Buck Owens and his Buckaroos” rendition:
one more … The Beatles rendition:
and an older Ringo Starr:
Think I like this one the best!
Johnny Russell wrote this, I only remember Buck’s version, probably because of Hee Haw, and Johnny thanks him for the cash on Buck’s birthday.
Leon Russell too, tho no relation as far as I can tell.
Cowsills too but… I’m not impressed enough to post it.
Loretta Lynn
I Have a bunch of Buck Owens vinyl
😁
Buck Owens was a very generous man. He was a native of Bakersfield, CA. He had a studio in Oildale, across the river from Bakersfield.
When his mom died of breast cancer he realized how little help there was at that time for women diagnosed with the disease. He contacted all the hospitals and medical folks and set up a fund to pay all costs for medical treatment for women in Kern County diagnosed with breast cancer.
My mom, who taught high school government classes, contacted his Oildale studio each year and they would send out someone to spend the day teaching about the history of Country and Western music and how people lived their daily lives in early American history. They would always send out a younger gal, cute as could be in her cowboy boots, short skirt and cowboy hat. Mom said she had the complete attention of every male in the class.
I wonder how many know that wonderful story, patty.
I’ve read a few stories in the past of well know people who, without fanfare, have seen a need and stepped in to make a difference.
This about Buck I did not know. Thank you for telling it🤗
Buck Owens was dearly loved in Kern County. After he died the Bakersfield newspaper printed some of his good works, including the help with breast cancer costs.
Good morning jay!
Howdy Gramps 🇺🇸🙏🏻🇺🇸
Good Morning, jay. Thank you for the Homer and Jethro selection. I have enjoyed them for many years. They are always good for some laughs.

“No matter how talented, rich, or intelligent you are, how you treat animals tells me all I need to know about you.”
I would most emphatically add…and how you treat others!🤗
We’ve gotten Bench Monday back, now we need the “Day” as well. Also miss FDR in Hell!!
Actually, Joe, I’m pretty certain he reappeared on another thread yesterday or the day before. Perhaps he’ll take a coffee break and swing by here again.
In the meantime, I am chuffed to have Bench Monday back. The old familiar is a good sign that somewhere in this changing world, some things stay the same. A lot of comfort in something as seemingly small as Bench Monday, but it confirms that the world hasn’t spun off its axis…yet.😉
Oooops!! There he is further down!!!
It is happening and it is spreading.
Seeking the Water of Life, the Bread of Heaven, of Sincerity and Truth – true nourishment, the only real thirst quencher!!!
Our young people are being given the gift to discern between truth and lies, good and evil – and they are hungering and thirsting for righteousness – for what is True and Holy and Good.
And getting louder!!!!🙏🏻💕
Emmylou is a true American Beauty . . . Long may she wave . . .
Good morning, Garrison🤗
Love, LOVE me some Emmylou. She really is timeless.
If there are 70’s music icons, she is definitely one of those, I think. These videos are splendid. 🙂
Completely, totally, absolutely agree! Ah memories….
Despite Rodney Cowell playing on that version of “Til I gain control again”… it is not my absolute favorite. There is a somewhat unknown rendition from a Canadian group, Blue Rodeo which is absolute perfection. (My opinion only, of course)
🙂
Ahh Emmylou, got a poster from a long time ago of her on the shop wall 😎😎
And also in lots of other shops around the country, I’d think. 🙂
Morning Garrison!
An environmental disaster in Ohio… and the Climate President decides to go to Ukraine instead. It seems the disaster in Ohio doesn’t warrant a visit from the V.P. either, or the head of EPA or the Secretary of Transportation (after all, it was only caused by a train wreck) In fact, the EPA even DENIED Ohio’s request for aid UNTIL President Trump announced he would visit East Palestine, OH… and then the EPA reversed their decision.. but ONLY after it became a political liability to the Democrats
Unbelievable – yet I believe…
God help us, please. 🙏🏻
Amen🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
And because of this and, especially, our government’s non response, countless people around the country are now understanding that environmentalism and climate change dogma is really about seizing and holding power — and nothing else. This is a big change. In America, when government tries to closely regulate people’s lifestyles there comes a time when people simply get tired and stop obeying the rules. We’re at that point now, I think.
Garrison, your comments are spot on. “Climate change” (funny that they had to change the name from “Global warming’ when the temperature started dropping so they went with one that would cover both ups and downs) is purely political power. If they were serious about the whole thing, they would not allow China and India to continually build more and more coal fired power plants… but those are specifically permitted under the infamous Paris Accord. They would also start looking seriously at Nuclear power plants. and they would have already visited the environmental disaster in Ohio… and assessed what the eventual downstream affect would have, once those pollutants have flowed into other streams, rivers and lakes.
But “Mayor Pete” only had time and interest in talking about having too many White construction workers and President Biden visited Ukraine instead of Ohio.
And time for chest-feeding. (sorry, couldn’t restrain myself.)
👻👻👻👻👻!!!!!

Hi Garrison

Mornin’ My Magic Wand,
Its 20 years ago today that The Station nightclub fire took so many lives. In our local (RI) new today, it appears the club owners are making a public statement. I have/had NEVER heard of Great White until that tragedy, nor have I since tried to listen to their music… until you posted these tunes. I now understand the attraction. Talented.
Owners of The Station nightclub finally discuss the deadly 2003 fire: ‘We certainly played a role. But the systems failed.’ (msn.com)
Yea, they had alot more than just the pop radio tunes, they did appear at a casino near me, unfortunately at the time I was just beginning to build my business and could not attend.

At least 4 cans of Aquanet there, nimrodman…
(That’s 4 cans for each girl.)

Hahahahahahaaaaa!! Truth! First item on the budget my father made me make for my allowance when I was 14. All CAPS!😂
That ‘thar’is some mighty big ‘har’ !!!
The bigger the better way back when.
In my high school year book, there was a styled photo of the cheerleaders. They were sitting in a group looking up, surrounded by enormous pom poms so that only their smiling faces were showing.
Bigger still was their “har”, every girl sporting Texas big ” har”, all styled exactly the same. I remember being sorry I couldn’t get mine to look like that. Not for lack of trying though…😉
Hahahahaha!!!
That’s CLEARLY “carnal knowledge” of can content!
Tell me you had big hair without telling me you had big hair!
(No, I didn’t have a mullet. Juuuuust in case you go there!😀 It was longer and thicker than today, but not a mullet.)
No mullet
You guys are unbelievable
I smile so much when I come here
My cheeks and my belly hurt sometimes

Best place ever!
If you ever wanted to see a panic attack, all you had to do was look at me when I realized I had only 2 ppppppssssttts left in the can as I was getting ready for school. Talk about hyperventilating!
When I was in eighth grade, we had a new student, a lad who (we thought) was drop dead gorgeous. From Britain. He had the accent as well of course
This was when The Beatles had just hit the big time, so, as you can imagine, all the girls were instantly smitten.
And the thing I remember about him was his hair. Long for its time (chin and collar length and blonde). I can’t remember if our school had a code about hair length, but I think not because that’s how he kept it. And always tidy.
I wished at the time my hair looked as good as his…and no…he didn’t use Aquanet..
Maybe he used Brylcreem maybe.
Remember dippety doo , teasing combs and of course the crimping iron
oh brother
I use a bar of soap now for everything , wash , shave and shampoo.
Dr Bronners all in one bar . good stuff
oooof , i could use some now . the four leggers have been keepin me busy
Nope…his hair was silky and flowing, and he had to keep brushing it out of his eyes which, of course, made him even more swoon worthy.
And, molonlabe, you really must spill about your four legged family members…type and names, perhaps with a few stories thrown in.
We insist!😁💕

I am working on getting to know how to post my personal photos. a young gent gave me some suggestions. what I didn’t tell him is I have used postimages but I have had some problems using that site. Trolls can be very sleezy. I had a few attempted hacks, so I stopped using it. Doesn’t seem to be any trolls here. Sundance has built an amazing place. Maybe I will use it again.
there goes my belly again
At least 4 cans of Aquanet there, nimrodman…
There’s a band from Alaska called the Aqua Nets, my blues band gave up the stage to them for a set one time they were visiting our town
Three gals of a certain age (the age when you can no longer call ’em ‘girls’)
Entertaining and irreverant
There are a couple Aqua Nets bands on the youtubes, but this is the one from Alaska
Psalm 32
“A Psalm of David, Maschil (to give instruction). Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
I acknowledged my sin unto Thee, and my *iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will *confess my *transgressions unto the LORD; and Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto Thee in a time of finding Thee: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. Thou art my hiding place; Thou shalt preserve me from trouble; Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with My eye. Be you not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near to you. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusts in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, you righteous: and shout for joy, all you that are upright in heart.”
How was David “A man after God’s own heart, who would fulfill all His will?” Isn’t this also our prayer, and all our longing for the Lord as well? For we want to know the LORD as David did, as Moses and all the prophets knew Him, as all His saints from the beginning knew Him. We also want God to teach us and instruct us in the way which we shall go; we want Him to guide us with His eye. He confirms to us, that the way we come to Him to get right with Him at the beginning; and by which He answered us with mercy and forgiveness and salvation; this is how we shall continue with Him all our days. We are not animals without understanding, and we do not need to be held in with a bit and bridle to keep from hurting anyone. The same Spirit of grace by which we made accounting with God, and repented and were converted; by the same shall we continue to be blessed.
As soon as Samuel poured the holy oil upon David’s head, he was mightily filled with the Spirit of the LORD. As the Spirit began to move in him among the people, there were searchings of heart, and divisions made; those who were drawn to the light, and those who hated the light and fled from it. So began David’s afflictions and persecutions for the Word’s sake, and on account of the anointing. But God enlarged David in all his distresses, and delivered him out of all trouble. Out of the pressures and tribulations came forth the sweet incense and precious ointments of the Psalms, to instruct and guide all who fear the LORD and wait on His salvation, how to endure to the end and overcome all that we are set to encounter here. “The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy; and the Psalms are to teach us the life of Christ in our real experience in this world.
So we come to this Psalm 32, and we have another teaching about accounting of ourselves and setting in order before the Presence of the LORD. Deep and absolute truth on the inward parts is how we come to the Light, so that our deeds may be manifested that they are wrought in God. The hidden parts, where God makes us to know wisdom, is where we do from the heart what we know is right; for wisdom is doing what is right in God’s sight.
That part of our old nature which is fallen, and alienated from, and in revolt, not to be subject to the Spirit of God; must be brought honestly and entirely to God for judgment and condemnation. Christ was crucified for that condemnation of the old man. We are made new creatures in Christ, saved from the bondage of sin, and brought out form the darkness, into His wonderful light. But there are still deformities and failing to hit or reach the mark of God’s goodness and understanding; so the natural condition of that weakness and failure cause His hand to be heavily laid upon us; making us groan and rumble in grief and dissatisfaction, until we open to Him our hand, showing Him all the truth.
The purpose for the light being shined upon our deformity and failing, is to make a clean breast of it with God; that He not count it to us as rebellion and perversity of spirit. It is our acknowledgment of the truth, that we admit to all wrongs and crimes and missing the mark, that He counts as righteous. We are of the truth when we subject ourselves with a true heart to His baptism of cleansing fire, for taking away of all impurities and worthless waste. This God sees as righteous, and so He meets us who work righteousness, with the happy reciprocal blessings of those things we come to Him for; which are forgiveness and release from all that is not worthy of Him.
He meets our faith in Him with all that we trust Him for, when we come confessing and repenting. He lifts and takes away from us the criminal nature, the perversity and rebellion; and for our taking His side against all that is morally evil, He makes the crooked straight, and the rough places plain; every mountain and hill is made low, and every valley exalted. He makes a new garment with new cloth; and pours the new wine into new skins. He takes from us the filthy garments, and clothes us in a robe of righteousness, and sets a fair miter upon our head. And He calls us by His own Name, and says, It is my people!
Word Definitions from Strong’s Lexicon & Collins Dictionary:
> Iniquity – Perversity, Moral Evil; gross injustice; wickedness; unequal. Someone who is perverse deliberately does things that are unreasonable or that result in harm for themselves. Word origins – Middle English iniquite, from Anglo-French iniquité, from Latin iniquitat-, iniquitas, from iniquus uneven, from in- + aequus equal. Moral means relating to beliefs about what is right or wrong. Perverse means deviating from what is considered right or good; wrong, improper, corrupt, wicked, etc.; perverted; persisting in error or fault; stubbornly contrary obstinately disobedient or difficult; intractable; characterized by or resulting from obstinacy or contrariness; turned away from or rejecting what is right, good, or proper.
> Guile – to Delude, Mislead the thinking or judgment of, Remissness; insidious cunning in attaining a goal; crafty or artful deception; duplicity; (Synonyms) trickery, fraud, craft, deceit; slyness and cunning in dealing with others; clever or crafty character or behavior. Guile is the quality of being good at deceiving people in a clever way.
> Roaring – Moaning, Rumbling (as a deep continuous muffled distress, grief, dissatisfaction) (Synonyms) groan, sigh, sob, whine; to complain or speak in a way which shows that you are very unhappy; a low prolonged mournful sound expressive of suffering or pleading; a grumble or complaint. If you moan, you make a low sound, usually because you are unhappy or in pain.
> Sin – Miss [the Mark]; to fail to reach, hit, meet, find, or attain (some specified or implied aim, goal, target, etc); to fail to attend or be present for; to fail to see, hear, understand, or perceive; to lose, overlook, or fail to take advantage of; to leave out; omit. If you miss something, you fail to notice it; or fail to hit it.
> Confess – to Use or Hold Out the Hand; to acknowledge or avow (a fault, crime, misdeed, weakness, etc.) by way of revelation; (lit.) together/with+speak; to own or admit as true (Antonyms – conceal, deny). > Forgiven – Lifted, as Taken Away; to cease to blame or hold resentment against (someone or something); to grant pardon for (a mistake, wrongdoing, etc); to free or pardon (someone) from penalty; to free from the obligation of (a debt, payment, etc). > Impute – Account of, Reckon; to charge (a person) with fault; to attribute or ascribe; (Law) to ascribe to or charge (a person) with an act or quality because of the conduct of another over whom one has control or for whose acts or conduct one is responsible. If you impute something such as blame or a crime to someone, you say that they are responsible for it or are the cause of it. In our imputing the crime justly upon ourselves, God imputes to us righteousness for doing what is just and true.

Someone who is pious is very religious and moral.
Didn’t you have a rather strong mic drop moment about two days ago? What happened to that?
You should get your own blog and then you could post links to it here and publish in your own place. If you just post the links then you would have a count for your personal affirmation by how many visit your blog site. Your name is known here now… so it might grant you the following and readership you are looking for.
Just a happy suggestion.
No “mic drop,” what was said three days or so ago, the Lord has still been leading me; nothing that wasn’t meant to be said. However I think, we are still under God’s charge, “He that has My word, let him speak my word faithfully: what is the chaff to the wheat?”
No, this is the part of the Lord’s vineyard He wants me in for now; and doing the work He directs should be done. They that speak out of themselves; (which I take to also include, ‘Carving out a Ministry’ for one’s self); seek their own glory: but he that seeks His glory that sent him; the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. Anyone who is truly seeking the Lord’s honor in service to Him, abhors the idea of personal affirmation.
Thank you however, for your friendly suggestion; I take it as best intentioned.
Thankful your postings Michael. Keep posting here, please.
Godspeed.
Thank you, Poyeema; as the Lord leads, I like to do so.
The Lord be with you always, and give you everything He has ever wanted, for you to know and understand Him, and be brought with joy into His Presence at that day.
Serious crack in an olive grove in Turkey from the earthquake. It is impressive.
test. have not posted in ages and hoping this goes through.
Good morning, all!
And a brilliant good morning to you, sir. It worked, Mike!!! Come on back!😁
That is remarkable. Grand Canyon anyone? What came first? The Grand Canyon or the Colorado River?

A courageous church hero of our time – !
THE INITIATIVE AGAINST DREAMING
“Arise, let us go hence.” John xiv. 31
Dreaming about a thing in order to do it properly is right; but dreaming about it when we should be doing it is wrong. After our Lord had said those wonderful things to His disciples, we might have expected that He would tell them to go away and meditate over them all; but our Lord never allowed “mooning.” When we are getting into contact with God in order to find out what He wants, dreaming is right; but when we are inclined to spend our time in dreaming over what we have been told to do, it is a bad thing and God’s blessing is never on it. God’s initiative is always in the nature of a stab against this kind of dreaming, the stab that bids us “neither sit nor stand but go.”
If we are quietly waiting before God and He has said – “Come ye yourselves apart,” then that is meditation before God in order to get at the line He wants; but always beware of giving over to mere dreaming when once God has spoken. Leave Him to be the source of all your dreams and joys and delights, and go out and obey what He has said. If you are in love, you do not sit down and dream about the one you love all the time, you go and do something for him; and that is what Jesus Christ expects us to do. Dreaming after God has spoken is an indication that we do not trust Him.
Oswald Chambers
February 20th Devotional
Good morning Stevie
We must put our trust in Him and move forward.
Meditation is good but we can’t just sit around praying and asking God to help , then wait.
We must act on the Spirit.
You know when something is right , so go for it 😊
☘️🌸☘️
Amen, my friend.
Blessings, sis, for a drama- stress free day. Hoping you have your serenity mojo working. Truly pray all going well😘
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Matthew 18:20
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Excellent sculpture in 3rd image. Can you identify the sculptor? Great action pose and musculature and perfect proportions for the wings and body. Cheered up my morning.
Good morning Mary
This statue is The Fountain St Michel in Paris France by architect Gabriel Davioud
Hurrah!!!! I will look it up immediately. Thank you so much for searching out these diamonds.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fontaine_Saint-Michel
Davioud was himself a trained neoclassical sculptor from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, and the large scale (26 meters by 15 meters) and the elaborate iconography he created for the fountain required the work of nine different sculptors. It features:
Four statues representing the cardinal virtues:
The fountain was different from most other Paris fountains because it used different colors of stone; columns of red marble from Languedoc; green marble; blue stone from Soignies; yellow stone from Saint-Yllie; and bronze statues.

Francisque Joseph Duret
Thank you Mary. Very much.
Could this be done today? I very much doubt it. I always marvel how throughout the terrible bombings in WWII, so much was untouched, and find it amazing.
The statues, the architecture, the artistry…
All this beauty from another age. Our souls are starved for it. You’ve fed us well today, molonlabe. Thank you😘
“Beauty matters. It is not just a subjective thing but a universal need of human beings. If we ignore this need we find ourselves in a spiritual desert.”
~the late, very much lamented Professor Sir Roger Scruton~
God morning to you, Molonlabe, and thank you for these beautiful symbols of evil vanquished. A dear, dear friend of ours sadly passed away of neuroendocrine cancer. She was Greek Orthodox. I had never been much for idols and don’t worship them, however… I am all for reminders posted everywhere in my home to Whom we belong. The symbols are poignant and thought-provoking. The artists are truly skilled to put ones thoughts into beauty. Thank you for posting and God be with you, angel.
Good morning JWoo
Sorry to hear of your friend.
I once visited a Greek Orthodox Church.
It was very very beautiful.

Im new here , so please give me a happy suggestion if I get carried away with my pics and posts.
Sometimes a can get carried away.
This place carries me away.
I love it here .
☘️🌸☘️
No happy suggestions will be forthcoming from us!
Carry on carrying on. You’ve added a wonderful new wing to our growing “House”.
This is garden, Molonlabe. It grows or it recoils based upon what it is fertilized with.
You are among very special people here. Welcome dear one.
I find it an honor to call these people brothers and sisters. They make me laugh, cry, and cry out on their behalf with intercession.
And they compell me to adopt cute animals.. or at least they’re trying to!
We haven’t given up yet…🤗
I wasn’t gonna say it
But you just did
Tears of joy flow sometimes when sittin in the tree
Especially from the way you all have welcomed me
Wish I had more time to do it
I love sittin in this tree
Nothing in this world wrong in admitting that, my friend. Nothing whatsoever. 🤗
Sorry for your loss, JWoo. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Psalm 1
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
GREAT astronomy picture. Don’t recognize it at all, but it’s just beautiful.
It is part of the Orion Nebula in the Milky Way
Gods creations are special .
The Orion Nebula is a diffuse nebula situated in the Milky Way, being south of Orion’s Belt in the constellation of Orion. It is one of the brightest nebulae and is visible to the naked eye in the night sky with apparent magnitude 4.0. It is 1,344 ± 20 light-years (412.1 ± 6.1 pc) away and is the closest region of massive star formation to Earth. The M42 nebula is estimated to be 24 light-years across. It has a mass of about 2,000 times that of the Sun. Older texts frequently refer to the Orion Nebula as the Great Nebula in Orion or the Great Orion Nebula.
Absolutely wonderful choices. If all abstract art looked as good as this, how wonderful it would be to stroll through the modern art galleries.
Truth!
Mary , I love art galleries.
Way back in 1982 i worked at one near Boston .
It was called the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum.
Could describe every aspect and room of that place .
Spent a lot of hours working there.
I didn’t work for the museum.
Worked for others that used the Museum as a meeting place.
The stories I could tell of those walls and what went on inside .
They had some nice paintings.
Great gardens too.
Beautiful place.
I Miss it .
The Treehouse holds similar beauty as well. 🙂
I worked as a volunteer in Chicago’s Oriental Institute. And did work at the Adler Planetarium when I just got out of college. On another conservative site I met the architect of the Museum of Fine Arts gallery where the food area is located. Am on the mailing list of a docent from there for art articles and keep her up on my art videos. Graduated U of Chicago in physics/art history. Art is a passion that brings so many of us together.
A terrible thing they did to the docents at the Art Institute
I do remember about that. But I knew they were on the down path when I realized they had sold the painting that I used to go there just to see to get money for more woke purposes. GRRRR!!!!!
I was taken there as a child to see the sculptures of Lorado Taft, the sculptor of the Progression of Time on the midway. Mother studied in his studio and decades later so did I.
Fine Arts – American Sculpture – Brahms Tragic Overture
Mary
Thats so cool.
Quick story
I’m working at the museum one day and there was this painting, I forget who it did, but it was a picture of a man by himself at the front of a boat.
The man in the boat was the painter. he painted himself in this little boat.
So, I was pointing it out to this very interested person. I said “look, that’s him in the boat”, and I pointed right at him, apparently a lil too close. The alarms went off, but it was cool, we all had a good laugh only cuz everybody knew me. I was sooo embarrassed.
More pics of The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
And now I’m transfixed by all this beauty! How indescribably beautiful!! The top two remind me of the Chelsea flower Show in Britain which is staged every year. The entrants work all year to produce their entries which included themed settings and the plant life and/or flowers to best set them off. Attended by thousands upon thousands…
I sincerely thank you for these.
Beautiful. Now I want to visit this museum
My stories are planetarium stories. I ended up locked in the building one night remembering the stories of Hershel’s ghost that walked the halls. Was able to call the vice director (who used to chase me around the desks) to get me out.
😂😂😂 You were faster…obviously.
In those days, one learned to be fleet of foot.
What an interesting life you seem to have had…
(bet you jumped.😉)
Love that you shared that, Mary.
below is a picture of the museum, I don’t know what you call it.
Garden, foyer, arbor, they called it something.
it was like in the middle of the building.
That IS the place he designed!!!! We meet the absolutely BEST people on conservative sites!
I’m wrong. That’s not the courtyard he designed. Your museum is NEAR to this one but not the same. Apologies.
Fine Arts – The Hermitage – Impressionism – Saint Saens
A chronological view of Impressionist, Post-Impressionism and Neo-Impressionism art at The Hermitage, St. Petersburg. To the Sonata for Clarinet and Piano in E-Flat Major, Op 167 by Saint Saens.
Oh how I’d love to go through the Hermitage. Can you imagine walking into it with all those works of art to explore on your own, taking as much time as you like to study each one? Heaven.
The Saint Saens was well chosen for your beautifully constructed video…for these works especially.
I dreamed of that, too. For my foreign language in physics, I took Russian. Oh, I was SO bad! You could see the teacher cringe when I recited. Luckily, we were a research school so the goal was reading comprehension.
I can visualize the wincing. I really can. I have always thought Russian would be a particularly difficult language to speak, write.
Once I sat on a plane next to a young woman in the armed forces who was an Arabic interpreter (during the Iraq war). I asked her how on earth she became one, did she have an affinity for languages etc etc…
She said when she joined, she was given aptitude tests which indicated she would be perfect for what she was doing. Had she any other language before she joined, I asked her.
No, she said. They sent her somewhere, threw her in a classroom for 6 months, speaking nothing but Arabic. She said it was incredible how fast she learned. She was fluent.
If one is intent on becoming bi or multilingual, I suppose that is the fastest way.
On one of the very few plane trips I’ve taken, I sat next to an astronaut (on the way to Texas). He pulled down the window blind and told me about every noise that he heard, as well as saying that airline pilots were brain dead. Did not make for a trusting flight when I was already so scared.
You are experiencing “hiraeth” molonlabe. My favourite Welsh word.
“A nostalgia, a yearning, for places or times past. A homesickness for a home to which you cannot return.”
There is no equivalent word in English. But that feeling for so many is universal. Once experienced, one can say with certainty,” Ahhh…now I understand…”
As a rule, there is always a huge *sigh* after.
But then one draws on all those “mental cocktails” comprised entirely of memories which are precious and made times past so precious. And those are a balm for the soul.
I am glad the references to galleries and art, etc. has come up. Just yesterday I thought of posting what a wonderful experience it is to go through the Peabody Museaum at Harvard. My thought was inspired by a post showing extraordinary rocks and minerals (I think from rah). The collection at the Peabody rivals some of the pieces within the slide show he posted. Peabody Museum (harvard.edu)
One of the most marvelous collections (to me) were the Glass Flowers.
The Glass Flowers | Harvard University Herbaria & Libraries
YES!!!! My shooting friend took me to see that collection. It was wonderful. So very glad that you posted about it. And the restaurants around there! I worked in computer language design not that far away and those were the days when quiche lunches were the thing and there were some GREAT restaurants in Harvard Square.
Mary,
There are still fantastic restaurants all around ‘the square’. Too many to tackle, really, if you’re just a day-tripper like I am. The collection was overhauled a few years back, so if you get a chance to go again….
Oh parichute!! How serendipitous is it that yesterday’s thoughts found a place on today’s beautiful posts. I am agog at these lovely pieces.
These colours I have seen in blown glass. I always think those with the talent to bring into existence in glass in such colours must truly enjoy their work.
I could linger over this most wonderful picture all day long, and let my mind wander unrestrained on all which we do not know.
I only have one real stained glass lamp, but I love it.
amarylis-4-open-front-cabinet-6-400.jpg
Set my niece up with the artist. Didn’t work out but I have some of her work around the house from that time.
Well, that didn’t work. Idiot me.
The lamp is absolutely beautiful, also, the amaryllis!
You must have a “green thumb.”
Black, I fear. Everyone thought I had a green one because the healthy plants were on my desk. But when I finished doing them in, they moved to my officemate’s desk, who saved them.
😂 😂 Try again – different plant and location!
Beautiful Amaryllis. My red bloomed already… working on another now, but it is almost a miniature. Love the lamp too. I’m a huge Chihuly blown glass, stained glass, and Tiffany lamp lady. (Sigh)
One of the first subsites I built into my website was stained glass.
https://www.iment.com/maida/stainedglass/allstain.htm
Several years back, I transplanted my indoor amaryllis to outdoors.
If you look closely in pic, mamma deer put her baby fawn in daycare one morning, next to my amaryllis! It was precious…
Wow! Just Wow!
That is the sort of lamp I’d treasure as well. The colours are beautifully understated so the design is clear. I’d leave it on all day. Reminiscent of the era when art deco was in vogue.
Your mirror I like…I am a mirror and lamp girl myself. I hate overhead lighting, though I know it is necessary. I prefer the ambient light which comes from lamps, which (as yours shows) can be works of art themselves. Mirrors the same.
I had a large blank wall that was begging for something on it. In the end I covered it with mirrors of all designs and sizes strategically arranged so that the light from the window opposite it was caught, which made a world of difference. It opened up the whole area.
And through gentle but endless suggestions to my girls, they are now aficionados of both lamps and mirrors.
Oh, excellent!!! I use mirrors a lot. These are two sides of the small sitting area at the front of the library, with mirrors everywhere. Because I don’t use curtains, the mirrored closet blocks the view of the computer area. The wood is poplar, carefully finished to keep the grain. Patterns get matched by ripping the boards and gluing junk wood to the back.
Second dot down on Orions sword. Even with the unaided eye a person with good vision can tell it is fuzzy compared to the dots above and below.
An excellent winter target for the backyard astronomer. A star nursery producing mostly Blue Giants. I have counted 11 stars in it with my 10” Meade Starfinder Nutonian reflector.
And then there’s Betelgeuse! The highly variable Red giant representing one of Orions shoulders. It could go Supernove any time and what a show that’ll be!
If that star was located where our sun is, Jupiter would nearly be inside it.
I built a 6″ F/8 reflector mirror when I was 16. At 17 I was engaged to the optics instructor. Always loved astronomy. I went to U of Chicago intending to go into astrophysics but they didn’t let us near anything astronomical. I did, however, marry my physics lab instructor when I was 19. He was working on his PhD in nuclear physics. I always joked that if we had had kids, we would have been able to find them in the dark because they glowed.
Sat in on a class of stellar atmospheres with Chandrasekhar and had my mind blown by the way he explained the equations. It was the only time that the beauty of math came alive for me. It was so much later and a different career before I took an elective in astronomy and I was so grateful to discover that the dream had changed and I had become far more interested in computer languages than astronomy so I could finally accept the loss of that early dream.
But I will always remember those early stargazing trips and the sight of Albireo’s blue and gold against pitch black.
You’re such a neat lady!
We have the coolest corner of the internet!
You are, too! And I enjoy hearing your stories. Tell more!
Unfortunately Betelgeuse is still at least 100,000 years away from going boom. 2,000 years ago it was yellow, not red, so it’s only recently started fusing helium in addition to hydrogen, so it has a while to go. Darn. I want to see a good supernova; it’s on the bucket list. It’s still a neat star.
Looks like a baby hugging his momma’s belly. “Let me back in… the world is scary!!!” Ha ha… couldn’t resist.
Good morning, Mary! Good to see you, Sis. You’ve got me watching the Cupids Kitchen. On episode 20. Escapism TV at its finest… perfect for late night sleeplessness. I could certainly do without the grub dishes though. Blah!!!! Now… do you do work on the show with the music track? I see you and Garrison “talk shop” and you are above my head.
I’m jumping up and down!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!! How incredibly exciting. That one got me, too. But I’m really a very picky eater and I always have to jump the time line to avoid when they cut up poor fishies. I was just thinking of that show when I was cutting up onions for a French onion soup and wondering if I should cut using my knuckle as he was doing. But I decided that I might be slow, but I also didn’t have his scars of honor so I’d keep cutting slowly and wrong, but with fingers intact.
Try the Love O2O when you get done! These shows are all the old moral values we loved and lost, but with such magnificent production quality. I’m so afraid that Hollywood will eventually degrade them, too, but for now we can still watch the sort of shows we loved and thought gone forever.
Garrison is the absolute professional. He knows everything and can do and understand things that will always be above my head. Back in the 1980’s I became a self-taught video editor. Then I did take some classes. I worked first for myself in making these music videos, then I had a job in computer languages that bored me crazy and I talked our boss into giving me something more fun to do. So he gave me an international multimedia magazine and my husband snuck over at night from another lab and taught himself, then me, how to use 1″ broadcast equipment. Then husband transferred over to my lab and built a half million dollar video lab around my project. It was all terribly exciting, but I never thought of myself as a pro like Garrison. Just an incredibly lucky amateur.
Such a great love story. Your hubs built a lab for his lady. (swoon!)
So – the scene where Little Bread is gifted her first culinary knife? You know the ninja moves… yes, that’s ME! ha ha. I had to wait 48 years for my first set of big-girl knives! Had Heinkle steak knives back in the day, but they were just blah! Got my newest cooking knives and HIIIIII – YAHHHHH…. I am a kitchen hero, grasshoppa!
LOL
Husband refuses to let me near knives. I remember being angry at him for not letting me look at one in a store and grabbed one carelessly. It fell and I grabbed it by the falling blade. There’s a REASON he keeps me away from knives. I do all my cutting with steak knives. My Joyce Chen clever is too dull unless you put tremendous force on it.
How mighty is the hand of God?
“He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord and of great power: his understanding is infinite.”
~Psalm 147:4,5 KJV~
Looking at this magnificent photo of His work, suddenly I feel very small. How little are we?🙏🏻
Good morning Betsy
I’ve had my eye out for you.
🙂
Good to see you.
This super nova looks like God looking out for us.
Oh bless, molonlabe. You really have put a big ole smile on my face😊
I’m wondering if these amazing photos come from the Jim Webb telescope. I have seen so many, each more miraculous than the last…so clear and awe inspiring. And they really do set my heart racing.
Because while we read of the miracles of God’s creations, we see only what is in our world. Our poor imaginations cannot fathom how little that is compared to that which until now was above and around us beyond our sight!
Already you have added so much to our congregation, my friend. And I sincerely thank you. You are one of life’s blessings.
Here is a contemplative movement for all the precious souls here. From Beethoven’s String Quartet No 15.
Listen and be at peace🙏🏻
Hey Betsy
Is that the newer telescope.
I’m still learning about the Hubble and what it can do.
The Jim Webb one, is that the one that is just now coming out with stuff.
I can’t believe what they can do.
Yes, that’s the one.
So glad Mary verified, as I was away for a bit.
Good morning, Molonlabe, it certainly does.
Good, now afternoon to you Grandpa.
First time I saw these kinds of photos I was amazed. I still am.
When I packed to leave Chicago, I let the movers do the packing. They took my beloved astronomical BIG photograph of the Pleiades, folded each side neatly so it would fit in the top of the box. Almost had a heart attack when i found it.
I love this Psalm. When Jesus said we would receive the Living Water… He wasn’t kidding. Refreshing and fills my soul with JOY!
Dear molonlabe,
It appears you’ve gotten the ‘hang’ of posting photos and its triumphant!! Great postings.
Thank you , but I’m gonna have to calm down though.
😊
It’s like a new toy.
I get all excited.
☘️
I just tried posting five more pics of the museum,
Went straight to moderation.
😊☘️
I’m just having a good time.
You peeps are the best
Just keep calm – and carry on, Molon!
Just finished watching Love O2O for the upteenth time. It’s a great Chinese drama about a young college student starting his own gaming company and the girl player he falls for while watching her game. He approaches her in the game and then in real life. This is the sort of show that demonstrates why we get obsessed watching. Incredible production, but with an innocence and morality that leaves you cheering.
Their relationship develops in the game and the moment they meet there, he asks her to marry him. When they actually do meet in person, it’s the identical position of her first seeing him from the bridge. He accepts her as a strong individual and supports her only when she needs it. But there is never a moment of doubt or distrust between them. As in most Chinese shows, education is primary, so much of the action takes place while they study thru two years of college.
Love O2O – Say It Once – Glass Pear
After controlling himself with his shy love for those two years, they finally marry. The red booklets are the Chinese marriage registrations. Her red dress is the traditional Chinese marriage dress, though the majority of dramas show the western white marriage dress. His parents are scholars – history and archeology. They needed her parents permission to marry and he got it by telling her father he was in favor of them having 2 children immediately. A VERY traditional show but done almost perfectly with villains, tough problems and resourceful and resilient heroes.
Love O2O – Right Down The Line – Gerry Rafferty
God morning to you, dear friends.
I am late this morning getting on the horse to ride into the sunrise to work my path of labor in this world. I would appreciate prayers as I have had some reach to me who seem to need Spiritual uplift. May our Good and Merciful Lord give me the right words to say and may He teach me when I should speak and how those words land on others’ ears.
Blessings to our regulars and welcome to the newcombers.
There is much to learn sitting at the feet of our elders here. They will give you a beautiful lesson on township and kinsmen and how to accept others right where they are and they will bless you abundantly.
Sundance will bring you much knowledge to grow wisdom from, so that we can be an educated populace who loves America, our Constitution, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
So, tip your hat or give a curtsy to your neighbors, laugh at their jokes, sit next to them as they show you their precious photos, dance a waltz or two, kick back and que up a steak, and listen and learn. It will give you a much needed respite to breathe freely.
Love to everybody.
Truth and warm hospitality here, JWoo.
Thank you and abundant blessings …
Good morning, Miss Scarlet….er…Miss Della!😁
More and more it seems to take me a little longer to fire up in the mornings. But nothing makes it happen faster than starting here among family. Cup of tea in hand, reading, saying our good mornings, knowing those we love here are all present and accounted for…
Isn’t it wonderful??😘
Hahaha! You’re Miss Scarlett – not me! I’m still working on that one eyebrow …
Praying you have blessed day, Betsy!
Good movie
Hahaha! LOVE that!
It is great movie – partial to it since it focused on my birthplace in Georgia…
My GM took me to see it first time in theatre when I was twelve.
Remember her?
Oh Mrs Mitchell….(what have you done?)
Lol
Favorite mild curse of my father.
(Stares in “Southern”)
I made my family get up and leave when they shot the pony. Never would watch it after that.
It was not a movie to watch with family. It was a serious hard-hitting movie. I don’t watch movies anymore, but I used to. Gone with The Wind had a lot in it I didn’t like.
The parts that I thought were good was the one liners and the love story. The war and the hardships I found made me feel, not good.
But u guys and gals do!!!
Totally agree, M, definitely not family movie! Not sure why GM took me at twelve, except she wouldn’t have if she had known. She was Christian saint, if ever there was one.
I didn’t really understand it at the time either…
Like you, I’m not into movies.. Books are my thing. And, flower gardening when it warms up!
Can’t wait…🌺🌸 💐
Love your posts – glad to see you here!
LOVE books! My hallway is 37′ long, floor to ceiling bookshelves. One side for paperbacks; one side for regular sized books. Then there’s a library at the end of the hall with a 10′ ceiling and bays of shelves everywhere. I finished all the wood for the room and a crew put it together. There are 9 other bookcases around other rooms, and BOXES of books in closets. I still have my little golden books, as well as high school and college books. Being an obsessive leaves one in serious difficulties.
Oh my word, Mary!!
I’m a bibliophile and have lots of books, but I think you win the prize here!
There are stacks of books at my house in every room, in two bookcases, and in basement, dedicated shelves loaded with them.
As a kid growing up, books were my friends. Those were the days before technology, you know. And even black/white tv had fuzzy waves on the screen.
So I learned to love reading and visiting with new people in different places.
Those little golden books are wonderful- they’re really “golden,” right?
Yes, how in the world do you dispose of those!!?
I find it impossible. Luckily I still have those. I’ve never forgiven my beloved mother for throwing away my box of comics. And I still have my dolls in boxes under the eaves in the attic. Books are history of our lives. We tend to go through phases in our reading and the books bring those period to mind as we run our hands over the spines. I open the song book from high school and I hear the voices of the girls around me and they’re all still alive and well. U of Chicago was big on original sources, so our texts were collections of original writing of Greece and Rome, etc. I try to open those but I fear all I see is the girl across the table hemming her skirt during class.
That is a touching thought – hearing the voices of your choral friends!
Yeah, I can see how hemming a skirt is more interesting than class! 🤣
Books do shape our lives and remain special part of who we are.
In this tech age, I know several people who have gotten rid of their book collection and only use e-books. I just can’t… I know where certain words are on the paper page, highlighted, underlined.
Your house is a wonderland! Maybe you should open a Bed & Breakfast… for readers. Sounds wonderful!
Great idea, JWoo – we can all gather there! 🤣🤣
We’d end up chatting, instead of reading, tho.
Back in the days when friends would come for sleepovers, I would give them a map of the house so they could find their way around. There’s the old house with the old basement and a second floor, and a new addition with the hallway leading to the library and other rooms, and a second, separate basement. My friend wanted to sleep in the second basement. It’s never finished and probably never will be, but I’ve had such joy designing walls and finishing wood. There’s a small, indoor swimming pool that husband hates and no longer works. But I finished the cedar walls of the room and finished the ceiling by standing on a chair over boards over the empty pool filled with construction debris. Terrifying. So loved that room. Now I just pass by and feel sad.
Mary
Fill it up with some good soil and plant some tomatoes.
maybe a few petunias .
Love your stories.
You could in the four corners plant some small bushes . smack in the middle put a fiddle leaf fig . and all the rest fill with marigolds , begonias , vinca, pentas , how bout some peonies. can you see the look on your hubbys face when he walks in . HONEY what’d you do !!!
https://iment.com/maida/favs/house/library/
https://iment.com/maida/favs/house/bathroom/
I loved the book because Margaret Mitchell incorporated so much researched history of the Civil War. I read it when I was ten.
I understand, Mary… Only saw it once, and those kind of movies are just not my cuppa.
Same thing happened here when my daughter (then in college) and I went to movie “Schindler’s List.” We left in middle of very graphic, violent scene. Can’t watch that.
🥹
There are SO many movies I’ve heard but not seen. As soon as the music changes, I close my eyes. So I’ll watch Gettysburg but I can’t give you details about the tough scenes. I’ve walked out of a couple of movies. Back when I was a Catholic, I walked out of an “art film” with my date. Horrified he would have taken me to that. As an adult, I remember going to a wide screen movie where the deck of the ship was suddenly filled from a net with dying fish. I left.
Maybe ‘North to Alaska’.
I know, Mary. Any disturbing scene stresses me. I carefully choose what I allow my eyes to see – and then go to my mind.
Like you mentioned in a post – I enjoy things that are wholesome, peaceful.
Not popular now – seems that violence “sells.” Just not with me…
When I was writing screenplays, I was essentially writing romantic comedies. Though they had a massive amount of agent interest, they didn’t sell in part because Disney at the time was looking for Independence Day, not their old style of Disney movies. I can’t write the movies I can’t watch.
Am I?? Hmmmm. I think you’re right. 😂
Thank you, bless-ed friend. I pray the same for you😘
Love to you, Betsy, girl. Took a break and drinking my Orange Tumeric Emergen-C with honey that I hope is not too engineered!!! It’s hot and it works.
The proof is in the pudding they say. Hope it is prophylactic only, and that you are well.
I know the turmeric works because we were our own control group right after we started taking it on a daily basis.
When old joints started acting up, we took it every day, then ran out and couldn’t get any for about 7 days. By Day 2, we were getting up in the mornings a little creakier. Once we re-upped our supply, after another two days, creakiness vanquished.
I am a fan.
Hi Betsy
We all seem to gravitate to the same things here.
So much we all have in common.
I just took my daily dose.
Large amounts of Turmeric root extract
also
Boswellia Serrata extract
Organic Sage leaf
Organic Lemon Balm Leaf
Organic Thyme leaf
and Piperine (from black pepper)
Gods given us everything we need.
I have some creakiness , but no crankiness
Have a great day friend
🙂
I only say these thing cuz its fun
🙂
This is true. It’s how generations before us coped and cured. And now the government is trying to call it fringe medicine and want all that our ancestors knew and practiced either regulated or gone.
Because of course they do. Interferes with the profits of Big Pharma and all their concoctions which come complete with the most dreadful side effects.
A meme I saw…
“Ask your doctor if a drug with 32 pages of side effects is right for you.”
And by the way, this is the only country which allows prescription drug ads. One of the things which confronted me when we came back to the US. I couldn’t believe the numbers of drug ads everywhere…on telly, in magazines, etc. Something we never saw in Britain.
I’ve learned a lot from friends here now and past.
We have a good friend of this thread, ms Idaho, who I keep in my prayers…and especially now because her eyesight is poor and she is undergoing treatment.
In fact, if I remember correctly she had a February appointment so she is now particularly on my mind.
Her knowledge of supplements is incredible and I’ve learned a lot from her. Which was especially welcome knowledge as we slogged our way through the past almost three years now.
*****
You are not forgotten ms Idaho. If you’re reading this, I pray your sight is getting better. On another website (I’ll leave a link), the woman whose site it is is experiencing eye problems very similar to yours. I visit it every day, and always think of you when. I do💕 And like ours here, the commenters are very close knit.
http://www.michellesmirror.com/
Amen! Godspeed to improved eyesight Ms. Idaho. (I love Idaho, BTW 😉
She’s been on my mind for a long while now. Once when I mentioned her, three seconds later she posted a reply and we had lovely catch up on the state of her sight. So at least then, she was still reading everyone’s post. Prayers up for continued stability, if not improvement.🙏🏻
There is a supplement that helps Turmeric absorb better from the gut. Can’t think of the name right now. If I remember it at 3 o’clock AM I’ll give you a call. 😂😂😂
Ha!! Brilliant. Because you just know that’s exactly when you’ll remember it. I await on tenterhooks😁
Love you, Sis!
This string just made me laugh so much. And that Rhett – he’s a cool drink of water! ROFLOL.
(I wonder if the guys just read this and roll their eyes?????)
Oh, that Rhett ! 🤪🤪 (swoon)
And the guys wondering?
(Mammy: Ain’t no good thinking about that, Miss Scarlett.)
Good morning , JWoo😘
Everyone in this glorious Branch brings so much to the rest of us.
A while back I posted that I wish more would join us here. And though it wasn’t a prayer, I was amazed and delighted to see, shortly thereafter, a wonderful increase in our numbers…as if what I said was actually heard!
And it is wonderful and joyous. How enriched we all are by each other. One more thing to give abundant thanks for to our Abba Father who knows what we need before we know ourselves. Be well, dear friend💕
Love you sweet lady.
It has been abundant growth, hasn’t it. Takes one a fair bit of time to navigate through all the comments.
I could spend all day here. Could, but then kid and I would live in a car.. and that might be okay… if it was by a warm beach and we had our Bible and our radio? Maybe we become Christian hippies. Hmmmm??
Ha ha
Saturdays seem to be the day of plenty comments-wise I’ve noticed. At least that’s when I seem to be my chattiest. I think it’s brilliant.
I remember reading, before I started commenting, and wondering why this thread had relatively few numbers…74 seemed to be the top that I can recall. Look at us now!
It is a refuge for me. And I know for you. Glorious! (a word I’ve overused today, but accurate.)
The growth is a blessing, but I find myself spending a LOT of time here. So much so that I have to drag my behind out of this chair and shake a leg, cook, shop, etc. 🙂
And I do…every single day, though I have to break for household chores and grocery shopping. As you do…dinners aren’t going to cook themselves😁
. . . but deliver us from the Evil One.

“We have it in our power to begin the world over again.” — Thomas Paine, Common Sense
“The cause of America is, in a great measure, the cause of all mankind. Many circumstances have, and will arise, which are not local, but universal, and through which the principles of all lovers of mankind are affected, and in the event of which, their affections are interested. The laying a country desolate with ((disease and deadly treatments)), fire and sword, (( or starvation from want of energy or food)) , declaring war against the natural rights of all mankind, and extirpating the defenders thereof from the face of the earth, is the concern of every man to whom nature hath given the power of feeling; of which class, regardless of party censure is.”

It’s time for radical talk if spelling out the truth is radical then so be it.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Your presentation is perfect, always.
Poochie Piddles was never much of a “pillow dog”… but she is today… resting comfortably on a MyPillow Premium. Lap of Love will be at the house in five hours, fourteen minutes. So maybe this is a good time to say… Live Your Best Life… and try to help those around you live theirs as well…
Prayers for Poochie, you and yours
So, so sorry to hear this, MrP … Been there and it’s heart-wrenching.
Prayers for God to give you His peace, now and in days ahead.
Thanks for reminder – to live our best lives by helping others – as you wait. 🙏🏻

So sorry for your loss Mr. Piddles. My heart is breaking for you.
for you … mr.
piddlesbojanglesThank you all for the kind words and prayers. All things considered, today went “very well”. We had arrived here at exactly the right time. She knew, as did we… it was all very quiet and peaceful… in her home, with her family. Now I just need to figure out how to get myself back in The Forest… maybe someday… :^)
Good to hear all was peaceful…prayers for you and yours.
May your grief being you strength in days ahead.
Our loyal, loving pets become family – and for some of us, closer than them.
Take care, MrP.
She had gotten a little grayer over the years… but never did get old, really…
So beautiful …🥲
Thanks for everything, Miss.Della.B…
For some unexplained reason we all seem to think that when we encounter something we have never seen before, that WE are the first to see it. Not so. There is nothing new under the sun.
Faking your identity, whether it is your gender or your race or your ethnicity, has been going on a LONG time. Sacheen Littlefeather and Iron Eyes Cody – both fake Indians who fooled every0ne and made a living at it. Fake women, fake men, fake Blacks, fake Indians. Everything old is new again.

One of my pet peeves, t: “Fake” – or put another way – “deceit.”
Seems like everything surrounding us is “fake.”
Why can’t folks just be real instead of phony?
Good morning, Sundance.
Thanks for all you do.
Good morning all. Sitting in dock 8 at Shape Corp. in Grand Haven, MI. Took my break in the gravel lot they have here. Didn’t sleep particularly well last night.
This is a Toyota route. Two more stops at Alto and Jackson, MI before I head home.
For the first time in months I have no check lights and everything is working on the truck.
Think I’ll eat a can of Dole Tropical fruit and a Nature Valley Peanut butter biscuit for breakfast after a few more hits on this Tim Hortons coffee.
PLEASE PRAY!!! 🙏🙏🙏
SIMPLY STROKE
We know not what the new day will bring
Which way our lives may suddenly swing
As we go about our daily chores
We pass by others in and out doors
Suddenly we are suspended in time
For no earthly reason or even rhyme
The silver thread that held us secure
Snapped in mid flight like never before
Down we fell without forenotice
Fragile and pale as a white lotus
Till an angel arrives to lift us upright
We move not fret not or even fight
Time is of the essence it cannot wait
It is crucial to help not hesitate
Critical care will now affect the outcome
To negative thinking we must not succumb
Stabilization comes all in due time
What we have left will be our prime
From here on in we rely on the Lord
More and more from now onward
Whatever will be will be our normal
From classy and sassy to informal
God will be our guide from day to day
Whatever we face He will make a way
As we put our trust right solely in Him
He’ll renew our mind heart and body prim
He will refresh our spirit alight with life
He will manage the pain reduce the strife
He is the Heavenly Physician who heals
He is the manager of emotions one feels
He is the Light, the Life and the Way
To help us rejoice rise higher each day

So sad
Just goes to show ,
You never know what is going to happen next .
I’m afraid to look into it .
Probably wouldn’t find out the truth of how bad it is.
All we can do is pray .
That sounds so defeatist but what else can we do .
I don’t know if defeatist is even a word ,but you know what I mean. 😑
I saw this today….so an advance celebration (or belated one), for Caturday. Its really sweet…nothing to produce tears, just smiles!

Which brings back a sweet family memory….I had an uncle who worked for either the county or IRS in the Bronx….he did financial audits. Late 1940’s or early 1950’s am guessing…
Over some time, he noticed that this one firehouse had an expense for bananas, I guess they found it when looking at receipts. It was an upwards and repeating expense, ever present as my uncle was well familiar with the firehouse…finally, my uncle confronted the fire house chief or who ever….
It turns out that the explanation was: the cost of bananas for their firehouse mascot, a little monkey! hey, whatever works.
The above kitty, he gets free room, board and transportation…

YouTube took all of Jack Hibbs videos off today. I also had the Asbury live stream on my FB page, and it’s gone, although in a google search, I found some sites still showing it. Looks like Satan’s on the warpath!
Wile
I believe you are right about satan being on the warpath. But , just as Wile Coyote should know . Sometimes all your plans and schemes comes back to bite ya .
