It’s was human weakness, weak leadership does when facing a serious problem:
cya: cover your a # (selfish, does not timely provide a solution for others)
shirk responsibility (not in my job description)
finger pointing (when there is 1 finger pointing, the other 3 fingers are pointing back at you know whom)
obfuscation (perpetual chatter folks, no action )
lawyer up (and then someone else, lawyers up…and you have a parade of lawyer$$)
red tape ( government standard rules, protocols that do fit the situation, and as such, inactions occur, at high costs of doing nothing)
etcwhich is why places like times beach, missouri took 25 years to go from the initial problem, to the solution
and in the meantime, innocent people remained in harms way, making things incrementally worse for a longer time. : (
It does take a lot of fortitude, to overcome, hidden, odd human weaknesses of others,
and proverbially hurdle the problems, cut through the balony, to be a real, selfless helper for others.
We have seen some of those people in our lives too. : )
Maybe, there can be more… : )

So when political hack Christy Whitman was made EPA chief by Neocon owned Bush, I said “She is not qualified for the job, I am more qualified” and than the intell failure/treason take your pick of Saudi Arabia attack on 9/11 happened. The unqualified EPA chief told those brave 9/11 first responders and rescue workers that they did not need to wear masks and than thousands died and got sick, in some cases even passing it on to their children. Competent and qualified people (and not compromised) need to be in those positions. Whoever is running this s**t show did everything wrong by burning and thus spreading the contamination. I wonder if the people in charge are qualified for the positions or are they the right gender, political belief, color etcetc.
My heart goes out to the people animals, ecosystem etc. But the good American people need to unite and step up and take back their government, starting local and work up.

You are correct about the burn off, I have not seen anything that explains why they were not able to bleed the tanker into a containment trench. As someone with Hazmat expertise you likely know that those are relatively easy to set up. Had they done so they could have eliminated the explosion risk (assuming there was one) with a much smaller risk of leaching it into the ground. The fact that they didn’t is an example of why this entire thing must be looked at very suspiciously

I’ve become very skeptical about events occurring in our country, with many of them being by “design” (pure evil). With that said, President Carter is very ill and using in home-hospice care; I’m suspicious that his death will be “timed” to occur just before President Trump’s planned visit to East Palestine, Ohio. This will take the attention away from President Trump to focus on former President Carter. (Maybe I’m getting overly cynical and suspicious. Ugh)!
That’s ok. The people of East Palestine will appreciate his arrival and support anyway. The alt media outlets we rely on will cover it.

Actually I think he should say that he is very disturbed about what he is hearing about the side effects of the mNRA vaccine. This should concern everyone and especially those in the medical community. Vaccinations with mNRA should stop until the scientific and medical community understand this technology.
Also, I never wanted the vaccine to be mandated to everyone. It should have been provided to the most vulnerable to Covid, but certainly not to younger people and kids.
There also should have been more effort in early treatments which I suggested, but was ridiculed by many in the medical community, Fake News Media, and Trump haters.
There were many things our country should be concerned about in how the Covid response was handled.

Carter’s legacy as President, in the public eye, was his infamous “fireside chats” with him dressed in a sweater, while everyone else in the nation was freezing due to being unable to afford heating fuel caused by the Arab Oil Embargo and the worst inflation since the 1930s.
To be fair Carter didn’t cause it. But he also was ineffective in addressing it, and a large part of it, which was caused by energy supply dislocation, he made worse with his decision that civilian nuclear power “couldn’t be done safely” and thus he sought to destroy it.
But not overtly; he knew that wouldn’t fly. No, he instead shut down civilian fuel reprocessing, fully-aware that doing so would, he believed, slowly strangle the industry.
What it did instead was cause the civilian power operators to leave spent fuel on-site almost forever, which now dots our land and, while it certainly has limited our deployment of nuclear power it also has left us extremely vulnerable to any sort of serious dislocation that violates the integrity of those facilities.
One of the most-interesting aspects of that part of his policy, which I remember distinctly as an adolescent, is that there’s basically no note about any aspect of it in the public section of his Presidential library. I’ve been there. There is note given to his naval service and nuclear propulsion training but not one sentence about the E/O that shut down fuel reprocessing.
Given the focus on energy at the time and Carter’s background nobody has ever explained why he didn’t go after and push the ORNL work with LFTRs. Perhaps it was as simple as his belief that outside of military discipline we lacked what was necessary to use nuclear power safely as a nation — a position he held — irrespective of the technology. I doubt we’ll ever get a clear answer to that question, especially now.
Carter’s post-Presidency focused on charitable works — and not like basically every other ex-President either. He didn’t just set up a foundation and skim off a piece of it — he actually picked up a hammer and physically worked to assemble houses for poor people.
You have to give the man credit for that; it can probably be argued he did more good there than anything he could do as President.

He warned Smith that the incoming Carter administration were big friends of the communist terrorists that Rhodesia had been bravely fighting. This is all so weird to me right now because I recently did a lot of research on moving away from the “melting plastic” dishwasher pods. It is just so disgusting to know that it stays on all of your “washed” items, and that this plastic is now in our streams, lakes, everywhere. Polluting our local fish and water supply.

Beck has always been very good at investigations, providing resourced materials and analyzing an issue. Ignoring his clueless attitude towards Trump, he does some really good things. His Fox show took apart Obama really well and he gained many viewers from it. His rally with the Tea Party in DC 2009 was huge. I was there and the park police told us one million was their estimate. No garbage left behind and no violence. They couldn’t believe how well behaved all of us were that day.
