The system we have now does not resemble our constitution, Bill of rights, most laws. A congressional member can cheat on taxes? Then they are void for all, which in reality they are. Inside trading? Why can’t we all have the information and opportunity to indulge in collecting millions from companies?
That one is a doozy, if we all were allowed to put our money in as equals to reap the benefits congressional members wouldn’t get that profit we all would.

My daughter was a college student during lockdown, as well as a TA (teachers assistant) for extra pocket change. She was not permitted to attend classes as a student, but free to ‘teach’ the same class as a TA!!

In my county school stops the first week of June and starts the first week of August making that only two months off for summer. Now they do get a lot of holidays but no vacation during the school year.
When I was a kid in California, school always started the day after labor day, the first Monday in September, so we got the entire month of august off.
They get several days off and Christmas , Easter , and spring break .
Yep …always had June, July and August off. Now they choose to sacrifice a month of summer to have a week at Thanks giving, a week spring break and 2 weeks Christmas.
As a retired teacher who spent 40 years in an eighth grade classroom, summer “vacation” or time off was without pay unless one stretched her/his paycheck over 12 months. My “time off” was about nine weeks. This was a time often spent taking graduate courses, beyond the master’s level, at my expense. It was also spent reviewing lessons that addressed our standards and restructuring them to lead learners to their optimal levels of learning. Just like weekends were often dedicated to the grading of 150 essays, time off in the summer was also dedicated to the students in my classroom.

The medical profession is in total obedience mode to keep their professions. Imagine going to school for 19-20 years, then not being allowed to practice.
When obamacare was created, my cardiologist group was told they would not be able to practice in the local hospital, and that another group was selected instead. This meant they could not get new patients who survived minor heart attacks, perform heart surgery, or visit their own patients in the hospital. I suspect the “other group” was told the same thing.
Obamacare was not to insure the uninsured, it was to grab the entire medical community by the short hairs and squeeze them into total obedience.
This means the pandemic was planned years in advance and obama was president.
I guess that’s why they have hospitalists and intensvists in the hospital.
I noticed they usually aren’t as smart, but they take care of you when you’re in the hospital.
I noticed many years ago doctors had to sign contracts with the hospital in order for them to use the hospital for their patients. My mom’s doctors retired.

I disagree. Married to a 8th grade english teacher who retired 10 years ago. Many evenings she would fall asleep in her chair correcting papers way past midnight. Damn lessons plans consumed her life. Many 8th grade annual field trips to Seattle Science Center. So many of these students had never been out of their community. How many people work Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. She was paid for 180 days of class room. You are definitely sick and tired. No apology necessary. Who taught you to read and write?

I will grant you that some republicans are true supporters of the 2nd Amendment. However, there are many that only support the 2nd Amendment in order to keep their voting base intact. We saw that with the passage of the new gun legislation June 2022. Gun rights are one of the strongest attractions for republican candidates.
In truth, too many of them have no deep-seated allegiance to the clear and concise Constitutional language specifying our unilateral rights to guns. Hence, support of red flag laws included in the 2022 legislation. 29 republicans voted for it. Mitch and Cornyn initiated the bipartisanship characterization of the bill.
So don’t kid yourself – they WILL sell us out further as the Uniparty expands their power grabs via more government, less justice, more control over voting results.
That’s why so many Dem politicians have “evolved” over the years

George Soros does not SUPPORT Ron DeSantis for anything. Soros only commented on DeSantis’abilities. By your standard, me stating that Bill Clinton had a gift for gab made me a supporter of Bill Clinton as POTUS.

It is an open secret: the government of Kiyv is losing militarily to the Russian army. The latter is advancing without hurrying and is building the defense of the regions that joined Moscow by referendum. But this inexorable reality hides others. For example, the fact that Turkey, still a member of NATO, supports Russia and provides it with spare parts for its army. Not only is the Atlantic Alliance losing, but it is cracking.
The earthquake that has just shaken Turkey and Syria does not have the characteristics of earthquakes observed so far, anywhere in the world. The fact that a dozen Western ambassadors left Ankara in the five days preceding the earthquake and that, in the same period, their countries issued advice not to travel to Turkey seems to indicate that the West knew in advance what was going to happen. The United States has the technical means to cause earthquakes. In 1976, they promised never to use them. Romanian Senator Diana Ivanovici Șoșoacă claims that they violated their signature of the “Convention on the Prohibition of the Use of Environmental Modification Techniques for Military or any other Hostile Purposes” and caused this earthquake [6]. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has asked his intelligence services (MİT) to investigate what is now only a hypothesis. In the case of a positive response, it would have to be admitted that Washington, aware that it is no longer the world’s leading economic power, nor the world’s leading military power, destroys its allies before it dies.
Contrary to the messages the West is fed, not only is Ukraine losing on the ground, but NATO is being questioned from within by at least three of its members.
Under these conditions, how can we explain that the United States continues to send weapons to the battlefield and to demand that its allies send them en masse? Moreover, while Ukrainian “full nationalist” units receive Western weapons, conscripts do not. The difference, probably two-thirds, is kept in Albania and Kosovo or sent to the Sahel. Three months ago, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) summit, denounced the arrival of these weapons in the hands of the Islamic State [6]. In the face of the exclamations of surprise and indignation from US parliamentarians, the Pentagon created a commission to monitor the deliveries. At no time did the commission report on its activities or on the detour that it had observed.
Two weeks ago, the Pentagon’s inspector general went to Ukraine, officially to shed light on these detours. In a previous article, I showed that he came there mainly to successfully erase the traces of Hunter Biden’s affairs [7]. The Ukrainian Defense Minister, Oleksiy Reznikov, had announced that he and several members of his administration would resign urgently. This is still not the case.
The last question is why Germany, France and the Netherlands, co-owners of the Nord Stream gas pipelines, do not protest after the sabotage of which they were victims on September 26, 2022? And why don’t they react to the revelations of Seymour Hersch on the responsibility of the United States and Norway? [8] ? In yesterday’s issue, I addressed the biggest and most complex topic on the geopolitical landscape today — China.
But today I’m discussing what is by far the most alarming topic on the geopolitical landscape today. That’s the war in Ukraine and the dangers of escalation.
I’ve written extensively about two facets of the war in Ukraine that you don’t hear from legacy media in the United States or U.K. The first is that Russia is actually winning the war.
U.S. outlets such as The New York Times (a channel for the State Department) and The Washington Post (a channel for the CIA) report endlessly about how Russian plans have failed, about how incompetent they are about how the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have pushed back Russians in the Donbass, and how NATO weapons such as U.S. Abrams tanks, U.K. Challenger tanks and German Leopard tanks will turn the tide against Russia soon.
This is all nonsense. None of it is true.
First off, the Ukrainian advances that took place in late summer were against lightly defended positions that the Russians quickly conceded to conserve forces. The Russians were willing to give up the land so that they wouldn’t lose valuable men and materiel.
The Russians withdrew to more defensible positions and have been badly mauling Ukrainian attacking forces ever since. Ukraine has wasted incredibly large amounts of men and equipment in these futile and ill-advised attacks.
In all, credible reports indicate that AFU casualties are nearing 500,000 and are increasing at an unsustainable rate. On the other hand, reports of 100,000 Russian dead are almost certainly wild exaggerations put out by Ukraine. The BBC attempted to verify these numbers and could only find about 20,000 confirmed Russian dead based on extensive searches on funeral notices, public records, etc.

Though the legislature can indicate a different date, it must allow a significant window between signing and date it goes into effect – 60 days is normal –so the public can become aware of new laws in advance.
So DeSantis gets to watch his poll numbers tank while he waits.

As I’ve detailed here multiple times, years ago I found a gaping loophole in the US Code about the hiring of aliens that you could drive a tractor trailer rig full of illegals through. It is is even offset within the code so employers don’t miss it.
It effectively exonerates employers from prosecution if they hire illegals that have documents that “on their face look genuine” – wink, wink – with no further documents or investigations required on their part or any reporting of a suspect person if the document is suspicious – like a bar bouncer who lets in a 14 year old kid in who has “genuine looking” ID saying he’s 21.
“Yeah, there, 14 year old kid, your GENUINE looking ID may not look LEGITIMATE, but that’s not what we’re required to judge.”
“Oh, you are a very tanned Latino who can’t speak a word of English, but I see from your GENUINE looking document that you were born and raised in Minnesota. Welcome aboard! It always nice to have employees who will bust their butts in a nasty job, who don’t dare complain about working conditions, can be easily replaced, and can never unionize.”
A change to that ONE PARAGRAPH would eliminate one of the major draws for illegals – employment – by removing the ability of employers to hide behind it. And guess who is the SOLE person identified within that code required to be aware of problems with that code and fix them when found. THE POTUS.

The Normies aka apathetic fools (NPC): In my immediate family we don’t have many liberals but we do have normies, These are good people, some retired, some their business is keeping the status quo and just want to be left alone. This is changing as the inflation is squeezing this false bliss, for instance see “eggs”. The good news when the levy does break and I believe it will, they will fall on the right side of the ledger. Better late than never.
My point: We have a dynamic playing out right now, we are at that “A time for choosing” 1964 President Reagan’s speech at Goldwater convention. We’ve allowed the entire system to be corrupted; it will take We The People to correct this. I believe we’re getting to critical mass.
Who voted for war with Russia? Who voted for sexual confusion? Who voted for a 3rd World invasion? Who voted for runaway inflation? Who voted for racial strife? Who voted for infrastructure breakdown (see trains)? Who voted for constant pestilence and forced clot shots? …and on and on.
They didn’t, they were selected for at least since electronic voting. Our Great Land and the West as a whole has been captured by a handful of demons who are foisting their dystopian dream on the rest of us.
We must get this straight, and Just Say No! Relegate these demons back into the closet/darkness. Reestablish God & Country with our Judea/Christian ideals Love & Peace towards our fellow man, but these demons do not get a pass.

I would only add that this conflict will take DECADES to resolve; far too many want a quick resolution, which is understandable, but naive.

It took 110 +- years to get here it will take a bit (a generation) to unwind.
This will not be a bad hair day. Much of this entrenched villainy will have to be pulled out root & branch and start over. It is a War and I contend an ancient war.
I think we will win in the long run but will require eternal vigilance on our part. In this world of instant gratification…we’ll see.

They strung a cable in the division between the highway. Put up signs bragging that it was paid for by Obama infrastructure spending.
The good thing was that it blocked off a place frequently used as a speed trap. At least until some poor sap ‘tested’ it, reopening the speed trap by tearing down the cable.
Retired Magistrate here: I think it depends on what part of Ohio the tracks are in. Here in Delaware County and also Union County the railroad tracks are in fairly decent shape. Of course both Delaware and Union Counties are fairly wealthy counties with a big ag business which necessitate grain mills. Grain mills need railroad lines in good shape in order to ship the grain.
Back in the 50’s through the 70’s my father was a traffic manager for a cement company and they only shipped by rail. The tracks in Ohio were in much better shape then; if I remember right trains could do 60 miles an hour or more because the tracks were kept in good shape.

The virus has also infected mammals like foxes, bears and seals.
“We all have to believe in miracles,” Stallknecht said, “but I really can’t see a scenario where it’s going to disappear.”
