Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

I have built altars in both gardens I’ve lived in as an adult. Made them a Focal Point on Axis in their own Garden Room.
Before knowing much about the Bible. A believer, not yet a Bible reader. Sweet, knowing my soul/heart knew what to do, God for sure.
1st altar had a life size cross hung on brick wall above the altar. Made of Canadian white cedar, many nails hammered in, cobalt blue glass bottles hanging on the nails. Altar & cross anchored the potager, on axis from main path of the Garden Room.
This Garden Room so nice I added a chair, and often lunched there. In summer, sitting still, hummingbirds would buzz just over my hair. Hearing them, a life joy.
Altar now, has Julian of Norwich above, seen from several axis in the garden. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_of_Norwich Still on the hunt for a cross. Hopefully made of just the right wind fall branches on my property.
“We don’t build physical altars today…” ?
Hello Poyeema.
RE: “We don’t build physical altars today…” ?
Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
The law of sacrifices and offerings was instituted by Abel; which he did both for a Memorial, or, “bringing to remembrance” the Word that Christ would come in the flesh to redeem us to God; and for the giving account of himself to God. Ever since, it has been the custom of the righteous in the earth, as an expression of faith in Christ, and for a sign to give instruction. The Gentiles which turned instead to the poisonous doctrines from Babel, and the mysteries instituted under Semiramis, the widow of Nimrod; have all followed the spirit of Antichrist, to oppose and contradict Christ the Son of God coming in the flesh; making an “anointed” after their own perversions and rebellion against God.
What we (you and I) did, in the times of our simplicity and ignorance; God has forgiven and cleansed us from, in Jesus’ Name, when we repented and were converted. So, the answer to your question, Yes, we do not build altars anymore. We have an altar, the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. And we offer ourselves alive unto God, and sacrifice our bodies alive upon His altar.

Alan Lomax (1915-2002) spent his life documenting tunes and tales of Appalachian Mountain folk and other early regions of America. Before long they accepted him as family allowing him to film and record.
This brief clip of two imaginative Tall Tale tellers “way up in the Smokies” never fails to put a smile on my face.
Cue’d to 6:06.
—> edit: You can hear the actual “Tom Dooley” back story from 15:00 to 21:00.
Yes I remember watching this documentary from before, these are the kinda people that lived where my grandfather lived (dads side) in the foothills of Tennessee (N Springs, population of 56), I know it well and have many relatives there. Thanks for the memories.
Oldest brother moved to somewhere around pigeon forge in the early 90’s (he had a business there for a while just outside Dollyworld).
Mom moved around there December of 2020 to get outta the snow belt of Indiana was her motivation to not have to shovel snow in her late 80’s as her grand…um kid O/D on fentanyl was living there taking care of most things for her.
How interesting. You may know that after this documentary aired on PBS, seven-foot tall Ray Hicks became something of a celebrity, with people traveling from all over the country to hear more of his folktales.
Alan Lomax also went to the Mississippi Delta and recorded Muddy Waters for the Library of Congress!
I was going to go to Brazil tonight but then I realized we hadn’t heard from Joshua Rifkin playing Scott Joplin’s rags in quite awhile. Enjoy, Treeper friends . . . :-:
One more . . .
Wow! I haven’t heard Scott Joplin in forever! Good choice Sir, Thank you. 🙂
🙂
Nice, Garrison. We watched The Sting again the other day. I think Rifkin would have appreciated the use of his catchy music in it.
The Sting is a timeless movie. I’ve lost count of the times over the years that I’ve watched it. I think Rifkin actually recorded the sound track for the movie. Then Nonesuch issued his first LP. I still have it. 🙂
It was pure entertainment. One of the absolute best. Wish this type of film were still being made today.
Good morning Bet! ❤️😘
Morning, G 😘 One more day, then home. They certainly kick them out quickly.
I was telling my sweet daughter in law that when my husband had hernia surgery in the UK, they kicked him out about three seconds post op…same day with Tylenol as his only pain relief. I remember telling him if he were in the US it would be different. Boy oh boy, how wrong was I!
Looking at a repeat at the end of next week of the December freeze at least in our area. Hope you’re not going to see the same as you are further south. Plus it seems we’ll have rain as well with those sub freezing temps, so the roads will be really dangerous.
Praying all is well with you, dear friend, and all your family🙏🏻
Continuing prayers for you and yours, Bet. Nowadays they kick you out real fast for sure. If they don’t send him home with good pain control it seems the combination or Tylenol and Ibuprofen provides as good of a pain relief as the opioids. That is if that’s not another fairly tail as “the jab works great”. ❤️
I’d forgotten that!!! So many thanks for reminding me, my dear brother. As I’ve told you before, he is the one who went to rehab, and the last thing he needs is too much. He’s been good for 15 years. I’m texting this to him straight away…
Alternating every two hours if I remember correctly? Bless you,G💕
Howdy Garrison!
Good mornin’ Gramps 🙂
It is Cursday, Treepers. I’d like to celebrate a story of how man and his elderly dog loved each other. 🙂
Can’t put my contacts in to head off to work! I keep crying over this one. Just love —loving people who love pets! 💕
They bring out the best of our humanity!💕
When the first photos and then video went viral on ‘Tube people from all over the country donated funds to help with Schoep’s care.
The Power of the Dog
Rudyard Kipling- 1865-1936
There is sorrow enough in the natural way
From men and women to fill our day;
And when we are certain of sorrow in store,
Why do we always arrange for more?
Brothers and Sisters, I bid you beware
Of giving your heart to a dog to tear.
Buy a pup and your money will buy
Love unflinching that cannot lie—
Perfect passion and worship fed
By a kick in the ribs or a pat on the head.
Nevertheless it is hardly fair
To risk your heart for a dog to tear.
When the fourteen years which Nature permits
Are closing in asthma, or tumour, or fits,
And the vet’s unspoken prescription runs
To lethal chambers or loaded guns,
Then you will find—it’s your own affair—
But… you’ve given your heart to a dog to tear.
When the body that lived at your single will,
With its whimper of welcome, is stilled (how still!).
When the spirit that answered your every mood
Is gone—wherever it goes—for good,
You will discover how much you care,
And will give your heart to a dog to tear.
We’ve sorrow enough in the natural way,
When it comes to burying Christian clay.
Our loves are not given, but only lent,
At compound interest of cent per cent.
Though it is not always the case, I believe,
That the longer we’ve kept ’em, the more do we grieve:
For, when debts are payable, right or wrong,
A short-time loan is as bad as a long—
So why in—Heaven (before we are there)
Should we give our hearts to a dog to tear?
Awww – so touching, C! And did I recently read you’re on the fence about getting a pup or two kitties?!! 😂
Good morning, Colkitto😘
This is one of my favourites. “Our heart to a dog to tear?”
Oh the truth in that, my friend. I just caught a quick glimpse of a framed photo we have of me with our beloved Jack Russell Penny from decades ago in our garden in Wales….sigh. And there is my torn heart all over again. And why?
Because the joy we receive from love unquestioning obliterates what we have to, in the end, pay for it. My feelings anyway…
Which begs the question, are you any closer to deciding dog or cat(s)? Enquiring minds really do wish to know😉 Nosy minds such as mine?
Even more so.
Blessings this day to you🤗
I promise you will be the first to know here
I cant watch 🙁
🙂
OUTSTANDING……love it.
Carriage competitions, something I had never heard of before. Apparently it’s a 3 day competition including cones or obstacles, dressage and marathon. The cones or obstacles and marathons are timed. Interesting. Looks addicting if you have the resources.
I am so glad you found these wonderful videos, patty. Isn’t it fascinating?
Thank you for putting in that short one with Philip explaining how he came to love it. My sister in law and her driving partner would tell you it really is a passion and requires great skill.
Incidentally, if you can imagine a female Philip, that is exactly the way my SIL speaks.😁
Thank you for these marvelous finds.💕
Your SIL must be having the time of her life with the carriage competitions. The skill to drive horses must take some time to acquire. The tiniest miscalculation can lead to catastrophic consequences. And all at breakneck speed! The one or two people who stand on the back of the carriage must be on their toes at all times to keep the weight balance proper so the carriage doesn’t tip over. Such fun!!!
She’s near 80 now, patty, so has had to call it a day for a sport she loved.
She was the one on the back, while her driving partner, also a woman, did the rest and was quite good at driving.
They had a huge horse box for transporting their animals and their carriage.
I’m pretty sure I told you that she and her DP had more than a passing acquaintance with Philip at these competitions. They really are something.
The “Four in Hand” really looks good. That must be so thrilling, plus the strength and concentration it takes to handle four horses; quite impressive!
Thanks Patty
People can be so creative. This sport is now worldwide with an annual world championship competitions each year. Prince Phillip’s help in standardizing rules really helped this sport to bloom. The ‘four in hand’ requires not only a good driver but also 4 horses who are superbly trained.
Philippians 2:20-21 “Truly then no one I have like-minded/same-souled, who really will care for the things concerning you; because all are seeking the things of themselves, not the things of Christ Jesus.”
Who is the Lord here talking about; (for it is God who is speaking through His servant Paul)? Do we recognize the Lord’s expressions in the voices of His saints? When we hear another Christian saying something, giving an opinion, or trying to share an encouragement or teaching; do we believe, or even understand, that “It is the Lord?” Paul was frustrated and disappointed with the indifference of those who should have been his soul-companions in the Lord’s service; but were gone back. The Holy Spirit is still grieved, with those who have known Him, and have been given so much grace, mercy, and peace; but let the fire go out; and have no care for the things of Jesus Christ; but only care for themselves.
How much, and how earnestly have we been begged by God, to take heed, to apply the mind, to pay attention, to give ourselves wholly, to the things He has entrusted to us? We have obtained this “Like Precious Faith” as a gift, and our being saved is a gift; and He has treated us like friends and brothers, and taken the lid off His heart, to share with us the matters He is most deeply concerned with. But when He looks on His right hand and on His left, if anyone is standing ‘with Him’. . . No One! Do we ever wonder, why did the Lord say, When the Son of man comes, shall He find faith on the earth? Many have foolishly assumed, that its because the Christians won’t be here any more. But that is utterly and completely unsupported by Scripture. But what it means is, that a great falling away is taking place.
It was recently posted by a very devout and loving disciple of Jesus; Where are all the men of God today? This person’s prayer and poem was full of mourning and longing for God to raise up men and women after His own heart, and if there’s any way for himself to be of help, because of the gravity of the times. Others, many others, all in the way that God has given them, faithfully try to comfort, and encourage, and post good words for searching our hearts every day; the Scriptures are expounded, and prayers and praises to God are shared with sincere love. But does everyone really realize, that it is the Lord Himself, by His Spirit, who is calling and teaching and admonishing? And that it is REALITY?
Paul had no man like-minded, “same-souled,” who would naturally, genuinely, really care for the needs of Jesus; because they were all too busy caring for themselves. Libraries can be filled with psycho studies as to how or why this happens. But there is no such pontificating from a safe distance in this what the Lord is saying. There is nothing about indifference and cowardice in spiritual things, that Jesus gets soft and sentimental about; or anything for which He needs to quickly run to their comfort. Call it what it is; sinful indifference and loving self and one’s life in this world more than Jesus and the things of God. This is not just sad; but a grief at God’s heart.
The Lord has been coming all these years seeking fruit, and finding none! “Why does it even render the ground useless?” He exclaims, in His patience being at an end. One of His grounds-keepers intercedes for the cumbersome and unfruitful tree, “Let it alone this one year more; and I will dig around it, and put manure, and if it produce fruit . . ; but if not, then afterwards cut it down.”
In Isaiah 8:20 it says, “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” In other words, No Dawning, No Springing of the Day, No Up Early For The Task in them; this is the reason why they do not speak according to the Word. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks; and the law and the testimony of his God is not in his heart. If then only the things of self, the cares of life, the pleasures and desires of other things, are coming out; then it is the sure sign, that what was once “the light” in them, has become darkness.
In the Epistle to the Hebrews, the apostle was glowing and radiant with the praises of the Lord Jesus Christ, and he was springing up like a well with the Spirit; expounding the great and wonderful treasures of knowledge in Christ. Then all of a sudden, very abruptly, the Holy Spirit had to stop; because of the dullness and incapability of the ones He was speaking to. Their eyes were glassing over, and the fog of drowsiness was making their minds numb, and the holy words coming to no effect with them.
Hebrews 5:11-14 (Textus Receptus) “About whom (ie; about Jesus) our discourse is much, and interpretation difficult to speak, since you have become sluggish in hearing: and indeed [when] you ought to be teachers on account of the time, again you have need of one to teach you what are the elements of the beginning of the oracles of God, and have become having need of milk, and not solid food; for everyone who partakes of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness; for he is an infant. But solid food is for the fully grown, who on account of habit have exercised the senses for distinguishing both the good and the evil.”
When we look into the Gospels; how long was it, that the disciples had been with Jesus, when He began to send them out two by two, to go everywhere, to preach the kingdom of God, to cast out demons, and to heal the sick? And how long has it been, that so many millions have been with the Lord, and are still not like-minded, “same-souled” with the Lord and His apostles, to be in earnest about everything that Jesus came into the world for?
Over the many generations and centuries; there have been terrible cruelties and persecutions savaged upon Christians. For this reason, there is embedded deep in the subconscious of most Christians, a fear of the cross, and fear of bearing Jesus’ reproach in this evil world; which has turned the church into a nearly empty profession; no real power of the Holy Spirit, no confirming of the word with signs following, not even real and provable deliverance from sinning: mostly leaves only, and no fruit. In a very true sense, the church today is just like the church of Laodicea: rich, and increased with goods, and needing nothing, and lukewarm: many not even conscious of how they are in God’s sight, poor and blind and naked, and about to be vomited out of His mouth.
In the long list of the kinds of dangerous moral conditions in the world, in the last days, named in 2 Timothy 3; it is the very last one mentioned, that sums up the cause for the times being like they are today; “Having a form of piety, but denying the power of it:” From such turn away, is the commandment concerning this kind. But not only is it not turned away from; but it isn’t even discerned; and those who do discern, are branded as fanatic and dangerous, and cast out! So the devil has had a tremendous success in making sure the Lord’s people are kept away from all the grace and knowledge of Christ that God has intended for them.
These are the times when we should be acting soberly, and seriously, as His watchmen upon the walls. Instead, many find the whole topic of the “end of the world” to be very exciting, and an opportunity for making money. Even if they have convinced themselves, that it is “their ministry,” everyone knows, that its all for show; and nothing for why the Scripture says that these things must come. They have wrongly imagined, by misinterpreting the Scriptures, that somehow none of this “Apocalypse” is really going to affect them. They come in droves to fill up churches and auditoriums to see the show; and they come together to hear, as if they were God’s people; while their hearts still go after their covetousness, and they love their lives in this world. Meanwhile in the real world, the steel trap is being set, and shall close on them with a terrible force suddenly; and they will not be ready.
It is abundantly shown in Scripture, that God has appointed for the saints of Jesus be in the world, all the way up to the Lord’s coming. That is when He will command His angels, and gather together His elect from the ends of the heavens, to the ends of the earth; and when we shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye, into our eternal glorified state, to ever to be with the LORD. But when the multitude of misinformed and unprepared are suddenly caught facing the Beast laws enacted worldwide, and in force; many will be scandalized and betray one another, to save their own lives.
All of this surprise and scandal can be avoided, when we believe God’s prophets, and do all that Jesus has commanded. Jesus has told us all things beforehand, so that we would not be troubled and afraid, or think anything strange is happening to us. For we also know how it all ends! The immediate results will be personal victory in a pure and holy life, and no occasion of stumbling; and growing more and more in the Spirit each day, increasing in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The thing aimed at then will be assured to us; because we will be “enduring unto the end.”
Jesus looks all over the world, searching for the one whose heart is perfect towards Him; that He might show Himself strong on his behalf. He looks for men and women after His own great; who will be like-minded, same-souled with Him; and naturally care for the things He cares for. He sits upon the right hand of His Father’s Throne, crying, Who shall go for us? Whom shall I send? “Here am I, Lord, send me!”
This dude was staring at me on the plane trying to start shit
😄
perfect, WP
.
Push-ups! I remember those! They were gooood!
And now, somehow they recycle them into bras… not sure how that works
ok, it’s 2 days later and I’m just now getting your joke, benzy
good one – I commend you, Sir!
Got an orange one last summer.
So glad you weren’t answering benzy right above!!
🤣
I was taken aback for a bit there, GB. 😁
Good morning Treepers.
awwwwww … cute!
Thaaaaat’s cute.
A 20 pound variant is currently pinning me down in a soon to be fruitless effort to prevent me going to work.
Pesky, lovable critters.
Yes, they are. One of my cats meows at me right when I’m getting up and heading out to the kitchen to start the coffee pot. His food was empty, so I had to re-fill it. All quiet now. Ahh. That first cup of coffee. I let the dogs out so they could do their business; it’s 26 degrees and still dark outside. I had them come back inside when they were done.
I had mice running around in the back bedroom, but I think the cats eliminated that problem. I did set some mouse bait in other areas of the house away from where the cats hang out. So far, so good.
Home sweet home 🙂
Indeed.
Coffee next for us!! And remember, my friend…
“You haven’t had enough until you can thread a sewing machine while being its running.” 😉
Brewing a 2nd pot. Black Silk and Columbian mix. That should get the motor going.
Sounds as if that will do the trick. Ours is instant. We’ve got no class. 😂
Instant coffee makes great iced coffee, but hot? ONLY if I have to. I’ve stashed some in our emergency food pantry 🙂
Oh good! I’m glad to see you, parachute always. But particularly wanted to make sure, per our conversation the other day, that you read my comment to you about waterproof eye makeup remover…
Get mine at Walmart, their Equate brand which is much cheaper than the Neutrogena waterproof remover…about half, but just as good.
In the makeup section in a blue bottle. They are side by side on the shelves so if you get some, be sure to not grab the Neutrogena by mistake!👍🏻
I hadn’t but thanks for your persistence – I will get both next time i need mascara
I’d never be able to do that no matter how many pots of decaf I down. 😆
No?😂 Practice makes perfect you know….try harder😁
😂
😁👍🏻
Decaf!!!
Never touch the stuff.
I used to be like you but hate having palpitations. Caffeine does that to me. Also, finally found the right dose for the iced tea. Love the stuff but didn’t have any for a few years. Finally tried half tea and half water and so far so good.
Smart!
On the prowl.
Love Kitten. Love Path. Love Tara Turf.
Good morning, Joe. The world is definitely his oyster.
Good morning, Bet. Yes, indeed. “The world is his oyster”. Good way to put it.
Are you doing ok with this chilly weather? I like it so far, no problems with the roads or running water in the house (I leave the taps dripping in the kitchen, etc).
The news coverage of the classified documents found Biden and Pence’s homes are mind boggling. And now the Biden regime is sending tanks to the Ukraine. Every day something else comes up.
I’ve had enough of this incompetent Marxist government, arguably right up there with the worst.
Someone said if you leave your cabinet doors open under your faucets, that allows heat in the house to keep them warmer. Makes sense to me. Next week is going to be a repeat of the earlier deep freeze in December. Hoping it will be short lived for us all.
That’s what I do Bet, and it seems to work. If we are getting another deep freeze next week I may have to revisit the repaired pipe’s insulation just to stay on the safe side.
I addressed this to you up top, hoping you’ll be spared.
Oh do! An ounce of prevention… I remember when I was way younger wondering why there was so much preoccupation by adults with the weather…brother do I get it now.
When we lived in our deep valley in Wales, we would very often get ferocious winds coming through the the miles long corridor. Our two story house had a slate roof, and we’d always get up fearful to open the front door in case those winds took off some of the shingles. They were nailed on.
But such was the quality of the workmanship that we had only one ever come off. And for all the subzero C we had, our pipes were always good. Here? Completely different.
Warnings are already going out in West Texas about the gas wells freezing. Will this state EVER learn??
No, as long as we keep electing DS and Chinese owned republicans.
I’d say at this point we are a satellite country of China.
on the internets there are sites with Asian business signs where they emulate the English language but don’t get it quite right
the websites usually are titled “engrish” or “ingrish” something
here’s a good example, you can get the intent, but they didn’t get it exactly right
No hablo ingrish!
The effort was THERE!
Imagine watching a Lexus video, with the lead Lexus design engineer speaking flawless English…….and having stereotypical trouble with the word “Lexus” no matter how much he slowed down to enunciate it.
“Wrexus”.
Hard to keep a straight face in the exact same way the Japanese would struggle to keep a straight face with a southern accent attempting Japanese.
Yeah pretty funny sounding; now you try to say, chau bwi chieu like a Vietnamese. Funny is different on the other foot isn’t it?
“Legboot” (Bootleg) apparel? 🤣
I suspect Photoshop, but it is a good and funny one.
Layer transparency + 3D distort on the text to follow contour of the shirt image.
Look “through” the illustration and text and see the wrinkles and fold marks of the plain shirt.

I used to have a Korean co-worker, who explained that to me. In Korean, the L and the R are too close, and especially with English second language, its nearly impossible to pronounce correctly. I thought that makes sense; and I sure haven’t a clue about anything Korean or any other Asian language; totally foreign, to me. Also, I have picked up some things about that; like for example, that its not just different words and alphabet, but the entire concept in many cases is totally different. So I have great respect for everyone that becomes fluent in other languages.
yes, I saw a documentary that portrayed that our brains develop differently depending on what language we are exposed to from infancy
so Asians will actually think differently, have different thinking channels from English speakers, for example
oh – and so they can’t pronounce r’s and L’s like English speakers because their brains are wired differently, from childhood development onward
It always amazes me that so many of the videos of Southern Cross don’t include the last verse. Here is one that does.
They Want People To Stop Eating Meat For Climate Change – ‘Bacon Is God’s Gift To Humanity’
“They enjoy it. They just don’t want you to have it.”
– Drew Berquist
https://rumble.com/v26yz4g-they-want-people-to-stop-eating-meat-for-climate-change-bacon-is-gods-gift-.html
I’m gonna yell here, but really, it ain’t necessary for anyone with a lick of sense….
1. BACON MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER!
2. THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE BACON BETTER IS TO PUT BACON ON IT!
If you don’t believe me, just ask me!
BLT! The perfect combination! Oh! I almost forgot the mayo!
Rah, my wife got me to spread mayo, I use Miracle Whip, on both slices of toast not just on one. What a grandiose, lip smackin’ revelation that was!
bElt !
bacon
egg scrambled
lettuce
tomato
mayo
~>The bestest perfect combination!
Good morning Patience! ❤️
Gooood morning,
-to you Pa❣️
I have to admit I never had it that way but since I like Grilled Cheese w/Tomato that sounds tasty.
In NJ its Bacon, Cheese, and egg (scrambled, overeasy, sunnyside up) on a hard roll. Haven’t had one in a while. Now I’m hungry!
Grilled cheese, xtra sharp cheddar, with tomato is delicious! But only in summer with our homegrown tomatoes. It’ll be awhile. ☹️
Nothing…I mean NOTHING…beats home grown tomats!!
I know -summer without homegrown tomatoes is like a day without sunshine!
They’re our mainstay – eating them with/in everything.
Hubs is the family farmer, I just eat them.😀
He’s serious about growing them, too. Still home-cans – sometimes forty quarts.
He has the touch! I’m convinced it’s necessary for a good crop. Yummy!
My mother in law made her own mayonnaise which was delicious. I learned from her. So a summer meal would be shrimp, home grown tomats with her mayonnaise. And that was absolute heaven!
If things go any south-er in this country you’re all set to make Bolognese for pasta.
Many years ago, I worked with a woman who was great chef. She gave me her recipe for mayonnaise and said once I had that, would never go back to commercial. Didn’t make it, though, just didn’t have time for one more thing! And shrimp are my fav – cooked anyway, but only fresh ones (off the boat).
Oh my!! You’re almost British!
Cheese on toast! Gotta have a melty type cheese. Cheshire is good for that., because it is quite crumbly.
Toast bread. Mix grated cheese with a little Worcestershire into a paste, spread on toast and broil until bubbly and a little brown.
But like you I like sliced tomatoes on it, so I’ll spread a little, add sliced tomato ( as I call them), more cheese, then broil…and now I’m hungry!
I could not find that cheese (logistic problems the cheese guy told me) so I got Irish Cheddar. Going to try it perhaps tomorrow. Cheers
I’m from Jersey
We lived at the shore and Dad still worked the work week on a Pennsylvania Railroad stem line coming out of Philly, he was a Station Master and Freight Agent
Friday was D-Day (Daddy day) when he’d arrive at our shore house for the weekend
He’d come thru the farm fields outside of Hammonton on his way down and would often pick up some fruits and vegetables
In the summer – and in-season – he sometimes brought home a small quarter-bushel of fresh Jersey tomatoes
On more than one occasion, my sister and I would sit out on the back steps with a salt shaker and eat them like apples, with juice dripping down our hands onto the steps
What a memory – blessed to have been raised in the 50s and 60s
Oh – and Dad? A true saint. What a sacrifice to be away from his family all week so we could be raised in a beach town with good schools. And by that I mean good schools
God bless you, Dad
Now take it up a notch and dip 2 slices of tomato in the raw egg, coat them in panko crumbs – pinch salt -and black ground pepper, and fry them up next to the eggs. Then build your sandwich….
Stop!!!!!! I’m starving now!! My gosh that sounds delish, GB!
😁 😁
BLTA
Bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado with a horseradish mayo…
Howdy pals!
OK all – try THIS! Put a schmear of peanut butter on one side, add bacon. Put Mayo or Miracle Whip on the other, tomato next, lettuce in the middle and close for the BLT+PB of your life. This is how my grandparents/parents served it to us and we thought it was normal. Once you try, say goodbye to plain ‘ole BLT. Be Brave!
You bet! I have a favorite T-shirt that says “Dulcimer is the Bacon of Music.”
My daughter with triplets plus one Facebooked that one morning before school, she was killing it…waffles,
eggs, bacon and all the fixin’s.
One of her sons (aged 8) was enjoying it when he said, “Hey mom, ya know, burned bacon really tastes good!”
And now you know as well…😉
With all this bacon talk had to step away and stick 12 slices in the oven before I take the Jag for a spin. That was said in a Sean Connery voice. 😀
Don’t forget your kilt!!! 😂
Hope she’s running well, Sean.
Like a champ. Still have a little issue with running at higher RPMs. Looks like it’s the ECU. Found another computer on eBay with the exact same number. There are conflicting reports on the web. Some say it’s plug and play, some say it will need a programming at the dealer. I’m praying for the former because last time I took it to the dealer I think someone scavenged a couple of parts. Anyway, there is a Jaguar shop in San Antonio that I’ll call first if needed. But it’s of a big problem just using a little more gas.
My hubs loved his.I’m consulting. He asked what the model you have. ???
He says like you if it’s the same number you should be okay to plug and play.
Should have been, it’s not a big problem… Fat fingers
“That’s too much bacon!” said no one ever.
Truth, girl!!
Greg1, you make me LAUGH. Awesome.
Gates is out there pushing bugs for food, but a look at his pot belly will tell you he sure isn’t eating any grubs or worms.

I hope this vid doesn’t hit a nerve, considering your military background. But what do you make of this? Is this guy for real or is he telling a tall tale? Either way, what he has to say on the video is very spooky. It’s an old video and Marvin passed away a few years ago.
SF does go to the Agency as operators. CIA and DEA both came to interview me within a couple months after I ETSed from the RA.BUT, they are not both. You go then your in the CIA and not military anymore.Never saw or heard of an SF officer as an instructor or trainee at the Special Operations sniper school. And I would think that if your going to be an assassin, that is a skill your going to need.JFK is special to SF. Always has been and always will be since he visited the Special Warfare School at Bragg. The Green Berets and Kennedy: Two legacies forever united | Article | The United States Army
The Army could never take the green beret from SF, like they took the black beret from the Rangers, because the green beret was bestowed by a presidential order. So a POTUS is the only one that can take it away.
And BTW, I don’t think Oswald did it either. But I have always thought the motivation was probably connected to how Bobby, as John’s AG, went after the Mafia.
Regarding Oswald, I read something many years ago that jumped out at me.
He was left handed. The Carcano had a side mount like an M1-D sniper rifle.
I’m left handed. The rifle could be shot that way, the bolt could easily be cycled fast enough……and the fbi who fired the rifle noted the zero was off. Fact of the matter is I cannot recall how far off the zero was, but I recall thinking at the time that would be how a southpaw had to zero it.
That rifle is a POS anyway. Certainly not one a knowledgeable shooter would use for such a shot.
“Never saw or heard of an SF officer as an instructor or trainee at the Special Operations sniper school.”
I served with a guy who told me he wrote the first textbook for SOTIC.
Nobody challenged his claim, as he was also an instructor more than once.
He specifically told me that officers cannot be snipers. He said they could oversee snipers, but not actually BE a sniper. I don’t think they could be instructors, either.
If you went to SOTIC, you may know who I’m talking about.
Marvin stated that he could not locate David Vanek. Is it possible that Vanek was “sheep dipped”?
… he is full of 💩
Let’s eat Gates
Maybe him and the other WEF-ers can be sliced into thin strips so they’ll crisp up nicely on the griddle
you better believe i can ..

Look Again and Consecrate
If God so clothes the grass of the field…, will He not much more clothe you…? —Matthew 6:30
A simple statement of Jesus is always a puzzle to us because we will not be simple. How can we maintain the simplicity of Jesus so that we may understand Him? By receiving His Spirit, recognizing and relying on Him, and obeying Him as He brings us the truth of His Word, life will become amazingly simple. Jesus asks us to consider that “if God so clothes the grass of the field…” how “much more” will He clothe you, if you keep your relationship right with Him? Every time we lose ground in our fellowship with God, it is because we have disrespectfully thought that we knew better than Jesus Christ. We have allowed “the cares of this world” to enter in (Matthew 13:22), while forgetting the “much more” of our heavenly Father.
“Look at the birds of the air…” (Matthew 6:26). Their function is to obey the instincts God placed within them, and God watches over them. Jesus said that if you have the right relationship with Him and will obey His Spirit within you, then God will care for your “feathers” too.
“Consider the lilies of the field…” (Matthew 6:28). They grow where they are planted. Many of us refuse to grow where God plants us. Therefore, we don’t take root anywhere. Jesus said if we would obey the life of God within us, He would look after all other things. Did Jesus Christ lie to us? Are we experiencing the “much more” He promised? If we are not, it is because we are not obeying the life God has given us and have cluttered our minds with confusing thoughts and worries. How much time have we wasted asking God senseless questions while we should be absolutely free to concentrate on our service to Him? Consecration is the act of continually separating myself from everything except that which God has appointed me to do. It is not a one-time experience but an ongoing process. Am I continually separating myself and looking to God every day of my life?
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
There is no allowance whatever in the New Testament for the man who says he is saved by grace but who does not produce the graceful goods. Jesus Christ by His Redemption can make our actual life in keeping with our religious profession.

“My God, how endless is thy love!
Thy gifts are every evening new;
And morning mercies, from above,
Gently distill like morning dew.
Thou spread’st the curtains of the night,
Great Guardian of my sleeping hours;
Thy sovereign word restores the light,
And quickens all my drowsy powers.
I yield my powers to Thy command;
To thee I consecrate my days;
Perpetual blessings from Thine hand
Demand perpetual songs of praise.”
~Isaac Watts~
Praise gratefully given for God’s grace and mercies and for all my family in this branch for every prayer which was offered for a safe procedure for my son, who, though in terrible pain, is now on the road to complete recovery.
So much love to each and every one of my precious friends. Thank you from the bottom of my mother’s heart.💕🙏🏻
So glad to hear of this good news, Betsy! My favorite emotion is relief…
And there is nothing like a mother’s heart – can’t be explained.
When my son had his back surgery, I thought they were going to have to put me under, too.🥲
May you enjoy peace today.
Oh bless, Della. I hear you on that one. No matter how old they get, they are always our children.
I remember when I was a young (and naive) mother thinking to myself if I can just get them to that age when they are out on their own, responsible for their own lives, the worry and watchfulness will diminish.
How foolish! It never ever does. I am certain you know what I mean. Out of sight perhaps, never out of mind.
I keep this on my phone.
“A mother’s job is to teach her children to not need her anymore.
The hardest part of that job is accepting success.”
Those old apron strings should be untied by the time our children are out the door, granted. But I believe we as mothers are never superfluous to requirements. We’ve lived longer and can see further down life’s roads. We simply stand by at the ready for those times when they do need us, even if they can not see those times coming. Right? 😘
So true, Betsy. And I’ve found that worry/concern increase with AC, simply because they get to make their own choices. They are always on my mind – every.single.day – I suppose till my last breath.
Love that statement about mother’s job! Hopefully, I did my job well since AC are successful and independent. On the flip side I think: Hello, remember me? remember your roots!
Everyone has busy lives nowadays, I know.
Same…very much so.
My youngest I never hear much from. The one with the 3+1, and now a job, along with the home to run and all that entails, and the start of extracurricular activities for the four. I miss her.
That’s why I keep that on my phone.
I have no doubts you are wearing a blue ribbon for the loving job you did as a mother, Della. We all trip from time to time because of course we do. I have most assuredly. But we do our best with God’s help.
And with God’s help, I remind myself during those times when all is quiet from my three, they are, as you say, independent and successful beyond what I’d ever hoped for them, and I am so grateful.
Or as is said…my work here is done. Here they are, Lord. They are yours now.🙏🏻💕
Beautiful words, B. I needed a reminder.
Maybe you could put them on a plaque for mothers everywhere…

😘
So true, Betsy.
Good morn (just!), Patience and Ma💕💕
It is so true, but a weensy bit bittersweet. Nobody warns you about these feelings…just as well I guess.
My son was no picnic to raise; every step seemed a struggle. I was a single mom and found out how hard (if not impossible) it was to be loving and nurturing and when needed, turn on the ‘tough love’ role. He was still rough around the edges into his 20’s and I was still trying to influence him into growing up ‘for good’. He turned the corner, got jobs that allowed him to grow and get better jobs. He joined a local Patriot Rider’s club that raises money for Veterans and has since become President. We recently attended a fund-raising breakfast at the club and a woman came up to me and asked if I was ‘Nick’s mom’ so I said yes, I’m his mom. She threw her arms around me and hugged me for what seemed like 5 minutes… she told me that Nick has helped her in numerous ways over the last few years along with helping others in the group’s reach. I never knew. Well, I just burst out crying in the middle of the room with others looking on. The JOY was real, I finally felt like I had done a good job as a mother. He now runs an 8-Million-dollar company for someone he used to work for when he was a ‘brat’. I rest my ‘mothers’ hat’ and wear the mom hat at last.
Oh how lovely, parichute. I have no words. But I understand it makes a mother’s heart swell; and I understand this because the basic story you told of your son is exactly like the one for mine.
I don’t know if it is because they are boys . But with my son, I despaired for his future because he seemed to have no passion or direction. Too many potholes for him and too many sleepless nights (for me, that is), through the grace of God, something turned him around.
Wow!!! I’d say your lad was a late bloomer, but oh my!! Has he ever blossomed! How rightfully proud you must be. And yes, I think you can indeed wear your hat with pride. There is no joy like it. None. Well done, Mom! 😘👍🏻
It’s funny B that you say he was a late bloomer… when he was very young, I didn’t forget, that he said he would probably not be ready to ‘get married and have kids’ until he was about 32 (I thought that was a strange thing to say for someone his age). It turned out to be prophetic. I am proud, as are you, of our struggle bearing out the fruit of our choices and persistence. I so appreciate your missive. I left out the fact that I sent him to an isolated mountain school in fly-over country for immersive counseling and education when he was 16. It took some time after he came home to have that knowledge take root, but it did and my husband, his step-dad know it was the best thing we could have done to ‘save his life’; that’s how (tough-love) I was. So glad your son makes you proud. Slainte.
Again…the similarities…
My husband is not my son’s biological father. But in every way he is his father. They are so close. And it is my husband who gave him the guidance he desperately needed.
I credit him for helping turning an angry lad into the wise and accomplished man he has become. It took many confrontation, but in the end, the persistence paid off.
As for families, having one was always the one thing our son wanted ever since he was a teenager.
He now has that, but surely wouldn’t, if he had continued he’d down the road he was on.
That the option of a good school was available to you and your husband was an immense blessing…and not the only one I’m sure.
Surely a case for realizing in hindsight that no matter the struggles…some big, some small…we’ve not been on our own in trying to rear our children, even though it may not have seemed so at the time.
I am so grateful as I know you are, parichute.
Blessings always , my sister in motherhood. 😘
Amen to the Blessings of these stepdads. If it weren’t for them, and our Lord and Angels, I don’t know how things would have turned out. Unfortunately, children were not in the sards for my son and DIL.
Thank You, Jesus, for. blessings received and prayers answered!!!

Oh so many thanks, GB. your information was so valuable.
Apparently, so the surgeon told my son, the anterior approach is one that can’t be used on everyone. He said they are choosy about when they use it. But my son is super fit at 41 with good muscle tone, which made him the perfect candidate for this type of surgery. I’m so grateful to you for giving me the link, my friend.😘

Good morning all. Backed into a dock at Challenge Corp. in Holland, MI. All the doors are full and they’re short handed so I reckon I’ll be here a while,
A bit of snow coming up here.
Now it’s breakfast time. A can of Vienna sausage and a non pop tart will do.
“Non-pop tart” – is that an off-brand version?
Yea. Meijers. I will not buy any Kellogg’s product ever!
BTW I was in that dock for 3 hours. So I also ate a can of Fruit Cocktail sitting there.

Saints of God pray for us!
I know, my God, that you test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness, in the uprightness of the heart. – 1 Chronicles 29:17
Testing may not be pleasant, but it is an important part of life. Products such as toys, automobiles, or appliances must be tested to make sure they work. In academia, students undergo testing before they go on to the next level of learning, for eventually, they will be applying what they learn in their careers.
When you become a believer in Christ, you learn His ways through Bible teaching and training. God tests you to ensure you are learning and His Word is working in your life. It is important to be not only a hearer of the Word but a doer of the Word as well.
How does He test you? Frustrating experiences may arise in your life to test your patience. Perhaps there is a difficult person in your path to test your love. While God does not tempt you to do evil (James 1:13), He may allow an opportunity to test your integrity. He provides tests to make sure you are understanding whatever He is teaching you. It was the Holy Spirit who led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan (Matthew 4:1).
Are you being tested?
Are you attentive to what God teaches you, putting action to His lessons in your life?
The new year is an opportunity to set goals. Have you set some that include encouraging your brothers and sisters in Christ, giving to and helping others, and sharing God’s Word?
Thank Him for the tests in your life and ask Him to give you the grace and strength to pass them. Pray for believers in the United States Congress, and in the nation at large, as their faith is tested, that they will stand strong, following Christ with complete devotion.

MORNING
Let us go forth unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Heb. 13:13, 14
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. I Pet. 4:12, 13
As ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. II Cor. 1:7
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the Spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. I Pet. 4:14
They departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. Acts 5:41
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. Heb. 11:25, 26
EVENING
The Lord Jesus Christ … shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body. Phil. 3:20, 21
Upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. Ezek. 1:26-28
We all, with open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. II Cor. 3:18
It doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is. I John 3:2
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more. Rev. 7:16
They sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb. Rev. 15:3

Some thoughts…
I ran across the video posted below and was impressed to share here for those of you that have littles…whether your own, grands and greats that are fighting against the moral road of LGBTQ+ being pressed upon our children. I don’t know much about Melissa Dougherty but her presentation clarified this in a way that simplified (with a huge warning) of the dangers and suggestions to protect and fight back against this evil system for me and mine. Even if you don’t have any littles to protect…watching this will enable you to have some talking points when engaged in this conversation with others.
Peace and Blessings…and Joy with Jesus!
(5) Reasons Why THIS Caused me to homeschool my children (21:05 mins)
I also encourage you to read the comments. Many replied that is is truly the case….with some replies being from kids still in school…an eye opener to be sure!
Homeschooling would be a solution; but might not be doable for a lot of working parents. Especially single parents who are working and trying to raise their kids. But there has to be a way to keep kids from being exposed to the garbage spewed out by the liberal, left wing, commie lovin’ school teachers.
Public schools are collapsing fast as teacher says they are now indoctrination centers, not places of education – NaturalNews.com
Thank you…I feel for the parents that CANNOT homeschool for various reasons. And, as this indoctrination is progressing, I won’t be surprised to see homeschooling being banned down the road. They will pull out all the stop gaps we initiate…😥
This is war, juststevie. There is no other word for it. But then, satan has always wanted our children, and he has seconded his troops here on earth for that purpose.
Where once the toe of the foul foot of any and all ungodly ideologies was simply in the door, Justice Kennedy flung that door wide open which allowed it all in without let or hindrance.
And, like Pandora’s box, all the demons rushed in to accomplish what we are seeing now. So shockingly quickly.

James 4:1-10 – Wycliffe Bible
“Whereof be battles and chidings among you? Whether not of your covetings, that fight in your members? Ye covet, and ye have not; ye slay, and ye have envy, and ye be not able to get. Ye chide, and make battle; and ye have not, for that ye ask not. Ye ask, and ye receive not; for that ye ask evil, as ye show openly in your covetings. Adulterers, know not ye, that the friendship of this world is enemy to God? Therefore whoever will be the friend of this world, is made the enemy of God. Whether ye guess, that the Scripture saith vainly, The spirit that dwelleth in you, coveteth to envy? But he giveth the more grace; for which thing he saith, God withstandeth proud men, but to meek men he giveth grace. Therefore be ye subject to God; but withstand ye the devil, and he shall flee from you. Approach ye to God, and he shall approach to you. Ye sinners, cleanse ye the hands, and ye double in soul, purge ye the hearts. Be ye wretches, and wail ye; your laughing be [it] turned into weeping, and [your] joy into sorrow of heart. Be ye meeked in the sight of the Lord, and he shall enhance you.”
“From what place come wars and fightings in you?” “Whereof be battles and chidings among you?” What is James talking about? Between Christians? or in themselves, fighting against their own nature? This envy and coveting; is it something brothers and sisters are struggling with each other over? or with the yet un-surrendered and undisciplined self? Well we have enough experience to safely say, that when someone is intensely selfish, then that person will without question be often in trouble with others.
Meekness and grace go together; just like proud men and fighting and coveting and envy go together. Friendship of the world is friendship with the spirit of the world; that constitutes an enemy of God. Christians that are “double-souled” are unclean in their hearts, and sinning. Part in the world, and part Christian . . . there’s no such thing: God counts that one an enemy and a proud man, and the kind that He detests and resists. But He gives more grace, than all the power of pride and covetousness can bring to the fight. Approach to God, and He will approach to you!
We look at James’ language; and we notice right away, that it was very much like his half-Brother Jesus’ way of speaking: he calls it what it is, and speaks directly to the individual what is his problem. Not many are willing to do that these days. And if anyone dare to be even a little direct and to the point, speaking by the Holy Spirit; it is pretty much considered an act of war, and should expect a response. But what the world likes, and deems acceptable behavior, is not the highest authority on what we say, or how we say it. The LORD told Jeremiah, not to be dismayed at their looks, and be afraid of their anger and fighting against you; but to speak all that I command you faithfully.
Adulterers and Adulteresses, sinners, don’t you know that friendship with the world constitutes an enemy of God? How do all these things rest in the bosoms of so many would-be followers of Jesus? Because they love the world and are friends with the world; and so are “constituted” enemies of God! So when a Christian is “struggling with” pride, and a bad temper, and easily gets into fights and battles with others, at the bottom of it is his covetings and envyings and friendship with the world.
There then has to be an honest accounting to God, as well as to everyone who has been offended by such behavior; and every sincere effort to make things right. The commandment is, to “Go, humble yourself before your friend, and make sure your friend.” While our first inclination will be to go secretly to the Lord, and bring our peace offerings; thereby safely avoiding humiliation and chastisement; nevertheless He has told us in no uncertain terms, No! You first go to the brother you have offended, and get right with him; before that happens, I will not see you nor hear you.
As far as when these things have to do with our fighting the good fight, and our warfare with the world, the flesh, and the devil; then we have our correct way already prescribed of God. We come before Him and set our account in order to Him, and let His Spirit search us completely, and cleanse away all that is not of Him. What this passage also very clearly tells us, is that fighting with the passions of our nature, is not the way to overcome: because we cannot beat down those wicked things into submission; but they must be put to death on the cross with the old man. We have to use the weapons God has given us, to overcome the tempter. Jesus stood fast in His integrity, and spoke out in faith and consecrated commitment, the appropriate Scripture; and resisted the devil till he had to depart from Him. Our warfare is not against flesh and blood; our own included: but against the principalities and powers in the heavenlies; the spiritual wickedness which rules in the darkness of the world.
Greetings Treepers! ✝️
Lord, please give us opportunities today to bless our enemies with kindness so they catch a glimpse of the glory of your grace.
Yes, yes, YES!!! Walking in the way of Christ. Amen, dear brother.
Hilarious!
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
What wonderful Scripture choices, duchess 🙏🏻
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Anyone else noticing the endless stream of stories on social media regarding layoffs at Google and other tech companies, these days?
The theme is that a Google employee can’t believe that he or she is being laid off. How awful it was to hear about it in a text message, or your card key no longer let you into the building, or two members of a couple were laid off simultaneously, etc., etc..
How awful! The indignity! They can’t lay me off; I have a college degree! It’s not fair! I make TikTok videos! I am a big deal!
As if when Ford or US Steel or contractors for the Keystone Pipeline, or coal miners/lumberjacks/oil field roustabouts get laid off they would have said anything other than “learn to code”.
At least these folks already know how to code.
Now for their next course at Real Life University. No grade given…just pass/fail.
It’s going to be a doozy.
Yes. But I am apathetic. Time for the “cloistered & protected class” to finally learn what real life is really all about.
Got a phone call from my surgeon here in Seattle.
The tissue samples from the tumor sites sent for examination after surgery came back with no signs of any remaining cancers.
There was damage from the tumors that needed fixing, but radiation and chemotherapy whacked the underlying growths.
Thank God. Cancer-free.
Wonderful news, D! I read your posts that this has gone on for awhile, and I’m sorry.
Now you have light at end of tunnel! Thank the Lord for His healing touch! Prayer up you will continue to recover.
✝️ 🙏🏻
Oh how WONDERFUL,Daylight!!!
The most glorious news we could get today. I am giddy with joy for you! I can only imagine your relief and happiness. Thank you, Dearest Lord.
Who could have ever known your 2023 goal would be reached so early in the year??
(I wish you could see my face…grinning from ear to ear😁💕)
Glorious!
Praise God, Daylight! So very happy for you! Blessings and celebratory hugs!
So happy to hear DiAK!
Black and White warbler. The warbler that acts like a Nuthatch. Common (as far as Warblers can be common) in my old stomping grounds.
Beauty!! A chippy, chirpy chappie. He actually has a similar build to a nuthatch, which we had in abundance in Britain. No bird did I enjoy watching in our garden more than those.
And, Colkitto, I ran across a wonderful article about Roald Dahl yesterday which I saved for you, as I felt sure with your wonderful love affair with books you’d enjoy…along with a couple of other unrelated ones. I’ll leave them below.
My youngest has finished decorating her Narnia reading room for her four. And she has found a full door length mirror which they will hang on the door into that room, as if by fate. She sent a video the other night showing me the approach, and when she opened the door, there they all four were in their pajamas, engrossed in their books. They never looked up as she was filming. What a wonderful
sight that was!

And two extra , one of which I posted for you a few days ago, but you may well have missed it…

While the whole world saw the blast, powerful elements inside Lebanon are sweeping it under the rug.
Sounds like a US leftist DA.

Don’t know what just happened but CTH just went dark for a bit on my computer. I couldn’t to you despite going through different browsers including Brave. Anyone else experiencing funny business? Wondered if it was a power outage while making pancakes? So bizarre.
I also had some moments of anxiety earlier today while trying to read. I would get.a weird different page. But now back to normal and praying for my daily solace the Treehouse

Well, they’re working on my truck. Something, probably a chunk of ice, punched a tiny hole in my A/C condenser. I saw a spot of lime green refrigerant coming out of it. Now you may ask why that is a problem during the winter? Well it will effect the performance of my defrost and this time of year I need all the defrost capability I can get.
Speaking of defrost. You folks in Texas are looking at snow and ice next weekend. Not as cold as in 2021, but still cold enough to freeze and make the roads hazardous.
What is this FL bill flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2021/2006/ with a clause for forced vaccinations and involuntary quarantine hidden way down at the very bottom of the bill?
We lost power today for about three hours. Shortly after it went out an ambulance went down our road going north followed a bit later by a fire truck. Those came from our volunteer FD. Those guys are pretty darn quick for a volunteer FD.
So, odds are, that once again someone slid off and took out a pole. Seems to happen about once a year on our road.
Anyway, I called my neighbor Steve up shortly after the ambulance/rescue unit went by and the first thing I said was to him was “A whole house generator keeps looking better and better”. He laughed!
So there will probably be one less speeding butt head flying down our road for awhile. It is a straight road with a good surface for over a mile where it goes past our houses and some people really put the hammer down on it. Won’t let my dog anywhere near it.
