PRO TIP: I don’t care about the Speaker fight cause the GOP sucks, but I have a few friends among the 20 holdouts and let me tell you this: Any pundit/politician who’s telling you that no specific demands have been made is lying to your face. Demands have been made. Specific ones

Those who are criticising this “chaotic” process, don’t understand REPRESENTATIVE Democracy, i.e. the difference between a Democracy and a Republic.
A Democracy means majority rule, and the minority can sit down and shut up, which is why Democracy has never worked.
A REPUBLIC, with representative Democracy gives the minority a VOICE, and enough POWER, even as a MINORITY, to insure their voices are heard, and not just heard, by giving them the ability, THROUGH THE POLITICAL PROCESS, to STALL the process, until their views are given consideration.
THOSE that reject “politics” and the political process, are the ones that have ENABLED the political process to be hijacked, by the Conmunists.
Politics is a way to resolve Public Policy disputes in a NON-KINETIC fashion, just as Diplomacy is WAR by other means, Politics is the only alternative to Civil War.
So, if you think Politics is “messy” and unpalatable, wait until you experience the alternative.
The system created by our Founders, did not and has not failed US, …WE have failed IT.
The answer is NOT more disengagement, it is ENGAGEMENT.
It takes TIME, Committment and patience. 12 years ago the Tea Party primaried Eric Cantor, to start the procesd of unseating the Republicans in Leadership of Congress, and it IS one aspect of the right approach; ENGAGEMENT in the Political Process, rather than DISENGAGEMENT, and now we see the process coming to fruition.
Take control of the R party, AWAY from the RINOS, not only in Congress, but at the RNC anf State R parties, and the Dems are screwed, as without the RINO enabling, the Dems can not forward their leftist agenda.
Fail to take such control, and CW is the inevitable outcome, and everybody loses.
The United States Congress – especially the House of Representatives – is supposed to be a contentious body. This is a fundamental aspect of lawmaking. “If they’re not arguing, the American people are once again getting screwed.”
You’re supposed to get into a big room together, fight for the interests of the citizens whom you represent, and eventually hammer out a consensus without killing one another. (Although, in the past, various Members with heavy walking canes came damned close.) You are not supposed to sit there smiling at each other while “lobbyists” (bribers) write you enormous checks.
Recently posted tables show that, in the past, the House voted over three hundred times before finally selecting a Speaker. I am actually slightly encouraged to see that some Members (whether or not they are male) seem to have … cojones. 🤡
For most of my 44 years Congress has gotten along far too well. This buttery smooth legislative process has made a small number of people so rich and powerful they no longer hide the fact it’s they who set policy, not us rubes.

Rather than beating down others with sarcasm and mean-spiritedness, you do a fine job of explaining the processes and procedures of our constitutional republic.
When I became involved in politics, the first lesson that I was taught (or they attempted to teach); don’t ask too many questions, reach across the aisle, go-along-to-get-along and make an effort to “cut a deal” for the good of all.
I was very outspoken from a very young age and I usually had an opinion, not necessarily what the majority or even minority leaders wanted to hear, much less know about.
Over my lifetime, I do not recall getting excited about Congress working together because it only cost me less take-home pay and lowered my standard of living, which in turn gave me less freedoms.
I am impressed with those who are stepping up for their constituents rather than reaching across the aisle.
For far too long, the American people have been bamboozled into believing that Congress must get to work and pass legislation, thereby spending more of our hard earned dollars.
I didn’t like that idea when I saw my first paycheck at 15 years old and continue to feel the same today.
We have fewer freedoms now, (although many don’t see it that way), and if it takes this civil discourse and interruptions of reaching across the aisle to demonstrate this to the American people; then good for those who are willing to stand up, take action and make their points.
I want to believe the group of Congressman who are standing up for their constituents have a plan, other than just a few days of interruptions and speeches.
Not only am I not the least bit bothered by the “contentiousness” – I’d like to see as much gasoline poured over it as we possibly can. Heck, I’d like to see them come to fisticuffs. not joking – that they are not suggests to me that they really do not understand how close the republic is to its end.
further, I’d agree with Dutch above that “engagement” is the answer… but that said, I simply no longer believe that VOTING is the engagement thats going to be effective at this late stage of the empire.

The “officers” complaining are in the USPS anti-theft policing force which have been REDUCED in size as the thefts greatly increase. They are no longer allowed to police anything outside of a postal facility! So, if your mail is stolen, tough!
CHECK thefts have gone up 2,500% in just the last wo years and the last two USPS annual reports and their actions show that they not only are NOT dealing with it, but they’re REDUCING their efforts against it.

I haven’t really voiced my opinions on the nature of the vaccines until now, but I must point out two things about the “vaccines cause cancer” claim:
1) It often takes years or even decades for cancer to develop into a noticeable form. The vaccines have only been out for two years, which means that it’s highly likely that the cancers we’re hearing about now were already there before the pandemic even began.
2) Most of the stuff we eat and drink every day are filled with artificial chemicals which are just as if not even more toxic than whatever’s in the vaccines. So for now we should be looking at that. However, mankind has proven itself to be willfully ignorant about what it eats and drinks throughout history, so I don’t expect us to make any meaningful progress in that regard.
Yes, G-Pol; but it has been speculated, by far more knowledgeable medical minds than mine that the vaccine acted as an “accelerant” for those growing cancers. (See e.g. Dr. Robert Malone) similar to gasoline on a smoldering fire.
We seem to be seeing an increase in cancers only diagnosed in a late stage. In my own family, we had a man who kept very fit, had zero bad health habits, no family history, and was not someone who wouldn’t seek medical attention or recognize the early warning signs, yet he went from diagnosis to dead in an alarmingly short period of time.
There is already a lot of evidence that the human body deals with a lot of cancers as they occur, and that it is only when there is something wrong with the immune system, that these cancers progress.
That’s why we see more cancer in the elderly, isn’t it? Their immune systems no longer function.
My daughter’s friend was told that the gene that would have fought her cancer was “turned off”.
The doctor had no idea why.
Healthy 34 y-o. She was diagnosed and died within a month.
Oh yes, but there is nuffin to see here just move along. Healthy 34 year olds develop stage 4 cancer and die within a month all the time… ’cause you know, food.
There is none so blind as those who will not see.
People will believe anything. Including that the football player Hamlin is recovering. This is the narrative so his team can snap out of their funk and finish the next game.
They will keep him alive until after the SB at which time his health will start to fail. Family will be paid off to cremate, no autopsy and requests for privacy.
Candlelight vigil at the games and public prayers will be offered to make it not look so crass and greedy.

Perhaps it doesn’t cause a cancer but assists in rapidly metastasizing it? We need to have truth in our medical field or no one will ever know.
That is not how I understand what they are saying. They are saying that some people already have cancer cells in them but the mRNA shot causes the cancer cells to massively and rapidly accelerate their growth. Some people, whose immune systems may have been able to defeat, minimize, or thwart the growth of cancer cells lose that protection after getting the mRNA shot.
No one is saying that the shot CAUSES cancer. They are saying that it seems to lessen one’s ability to stop cancer cell growth on an natural immunity level.
Your last sentence is another way to say the shot causes cancer.
The point being made is not that the vaccine gives people cancer. The point being made is that the vaccine destroys our immune system, our natural cancer defences, and so it robs people of those decades before the cancer’s full bloom. The removal of our natural defences trubo charges the cancers and it’s stage 4 before you know it. That is what is happening. That is what people are pointing out….and sadly, experiencing.
The bigger SCIENTIFIC issue is this: we now know with scientific certainty that the COVID shots —DO NOT PREVENT EITHER INFECTION OR TRANSMISSION.
Ergo: this is ZERO SCIENTIFIC RATIONALE to mandate the shots as a measure to inhibit infection or transmission. ZERO.

The FDA is attempting to rewrite history saying that they didn’t ban ivermectin just a recommendation not to take it!! But the FDA’s action certainly had the same effect as a ban!!! Pharmacies banning Ivermectin off label use for Covid-19 didn’t happen in a vacuum!! State medical licensing boards threatening Doctors using Ivermectin to treat Covid-19 didn’t happen by spontaneous combustion!!

Comernaty isn’t approved in the US only Europe. Pfizer said they would not manufacture Comernaty for US distribution. My guess is it would be subject to liability which they didn’t want to assume. Not sure how many of you all know that Discovery Channel is doing a January 6th Documentary. I’ve seen a few previews in commercials, that I’ve either fast forwarded through or muted when it comes on during a show I’m watching/streaming.

Ever since they started the COVID vaccination commercials I noticed that there was NOTHING said about possible side effects like ALL the other medications that have in their TV commercials. ALL drug commercials I’ve seen spend about 25% of their commercial on the possible side-effects including that they could cause death. Yet on COVID commercials its all about the benefits with NOTHING about possible side effects, which we all know is the biggest lie around.

Kevin McCarthy is just so unimpressive. He’s a frat boy in a combat zone. At best, he’s like the Union general McClellan who put on an impressive show of assembling the troops, but always preferred not to fight. The GOP base is looking for a Grant or Sherman right now.

However don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Except for very cold climates, the more advanced (inverter) heat pumps provide major cost savings. I recently built a 2300sqft house out in a rural NC (no natural gas) using an 2.5ton inverter heat pump. AC is the big cost here but winters can get cold. This heat pump manages summer humidity and heat very well, and has no problem keeping things warm down in the teens. Electric bill stays right under $200.
Another advantage of the high efficiently inverter heat pumps is low current draw especially startup current. This allows them to run off of a modest backup generator or solar battery.
But, knowing where these people intend to take us, I also installed a 13kw backup generator supplied by a 500 gallon tank. A vent free propane backup heater and gas stove.

Retired Magistrate here: Well, now for some good news, at least on the home front. Here in Central Ohio we just got filled up with fuel oil-it is now $3.75 per gallon down from $6.00 per gallon about six weeks ago. It is still a lot more than under President Trump, but it is coming down. We got filled up for a little over $1,000. That should last us the rest of the heating season. The house is set at 64 during the day and 62 at night; the insulated drapes also help.
We are still finding after Christmas deals on food and stocking up further. Make your house your Alamo and take care of your family. Make your home a bastion of freedom and love.

We have a Shoprite store in my area that has done just that. It is all self-scans. I did not know this when I went in to get something. Never again will I step foot in that store. I didn’t see any cost savings either. Same price as the Acme who still has people.
I would love to take a little ride to a Mall and check out the shops but it’s almost impossible today and that is on purpose.
Most people like going to a store to see products and touch them, try them on and look for great buys.

On 8 Nov 2022 Kevin McCarthy rec’d only 68,562 votes from his District constituents to get his seat in Congress. That was the General. In the Primary he got 45,191. That was with a population of about 692,790 U.S. Citizens (2020). In other words, he got less than 10% of his population to vote for him.
Both of those numbers are drastically down from 2018. Even his constituents in California don’t trust him.
