President Trump can do the same thing today. The RINOs are not motivated to win. The MAGA movement can take over and own the GOP. So, go do it.

Just as a President can be undermined by a Congress, at the State level you need Governor, SoS, AG, County Sheriff, County Boards of Supervisors, County Recorders, etc. in order to effect change.
And, in order to be able to put forward Slates of endorsed candidates, that you can put on the ballot, IN ALL 50 STATES, you need a NATIONAL PARTY, with a HIERACRCHY, set up and running in all 50 States.

President Trump has no path to the White House, no matter which party he uses as his vehicle.
However, President Trump DOES have the horsepower to potentially put local, state and national congressional seats in play … as well as still play King Maker among the Republicans to some degree. he will need to garner local money and backing where he attempts to place a winning candidate.
A 3rd Party winning slowly at local levels and moving upward, would be an actionable form of local federalism.

Not exactly. She lost her hospital privileges, not her medical license. Yes, it was for “speaking out”, but not because of what she had to say. When you are an ER doc, you can’t unilaterally hold press events that feature non-affiliated doctors without getting prior permission from the Admins of the hospital. This would be true at any hospital in any state. She used hospital grounds and equipment without authorization to promote AFLD, tried to pretend the hospital was some kind of co-sponsor and put her own employer at risk of liability if a patient sued over any HIPAA-protected info revealed at the AFLD event. They fired her of course.
Basically, Dr. Gold was being needlessly arrogant and greedy. She could have gotten a permit to hold the presser at a park or hired a hall, but she wanted the cachet of having the hospital complex appear on-camera behind her sponsored speakers, none of whom had hospital privileges. So now she’s a strip mall storefront doctor, and the other AFLD board members are suing her for spending the money AFLD raised on a mansion, bling cars, private security and luxury vacations.

They then brought in a video of the the actual vote tabulator of the governor’s race along side of theirs.
The video of the actual count suddenly showed a drop in Governor Bevin’s vote total.
Then, the drop showed up in CNN’s video count, while the actual count had showed Andy Beshear suddenly picked up the same number of counts that Governor Bevin lost. Then the sudden increase in Besear’s total showed up in the CNN vote tabulator.
I don’t think Beshear won and I think Mitch didn’t mind.

I recently posted the vote totals for races and the totals align. Republicans won races by an average of 100,000 votes but not for Governor.

Over the past several months, since the November election, everyone has known the Republicans will be in a majority so will be the deciding factor in who is the next Speaker of the House, and third in line for the Presidency.
During that time there has not been one person, other than Congressman McCarthy openly jockeying to become the next Speaker. If there was a real, legitimate, desire within the Republican party for someone other than McCarthy – that individual has had more than enough time to rustle up the votes and openly declare their candidacy.
That this hasn’t happened says there is no one else that actually wants that job and so we have kabuki.

There have been court decisions requiring Americans to pay for schooling, medical, even food and shelter, to those who have unlawfully snuck in.
But requiring citizenship be given to the anchor babies is akin to requiring a landowner to put the child’s name on the deed to his house after the momma broke the window and gave birth on his couch. Any death or hospitalization where the patient simply tested positive for Covid-19 is counted as a COVID death or Covid-19 hospitalization no matter what the actual cause death were!

I’ve begun to find myself pulling for Gaetz and the rest of the team of 14 never-McCarthy. I know I know I made all the strong arguments in favor of (hold your nose and vote) McCarthy on an earlier thread.
Many don’t know that McCarthy used his GOP funding to try to defeat MAGA candidates in the 2022 primaries. He will never punish republicans who cross the aisle to vote with democrats (like for the recent Omnibus bill). But he acts decisively to try to defeat MAGA in primaries –McCarthy is an outright enemy of MAGA.
Steve Scalise is being mentioned by some as a McCarthy replacement — but lately he is not sounding much better to me. Scalise says the base wants “bold legislation” and he’s says he’s got some bold new bills in mind.
HELLO? The base is not looking for virtue signaling which is all that bills are without a vet0-proof majority.
At this juncture we need a leader who will take action with the real tools left –such as look at the Holman rule to defund the 87000 IRS agents and to defund the Special Counsel –real tools not fake gestures like pretend bills that will never pass.
