Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

“On a day of clarity that can only be called a gift,
I looked down and saw my clothes were reeking.
Blackened by soot of brimstone from bathing
Blindly in filth of my own seeking.
The Hand that reached to take my rags from me
Had been waiting a while; I knew this, as by Grace.
All I need to do is say yes, take the pierced Hand in mine.
Where dirt reigned, now white glows in its place.
How each old stain became is like a haunting time;
Yet my heart knows where to go for the washing.
Into the Blood for scrubbing it goes,
Emerging each time still crimson made snow.
Comes the day my Lord will call His bride.
And to that wedding I must wear this, my rags made white.
The weaving that has been my life, human and wrong;
Yet my royal clothing, made of eternal Light.”

Thank you, Dan. I believe this is one of the two most powerful drawings I have ever seen.
Praise the Lord!

Gabby the cat and Geisha the Cocker share when I fire up the insert. Not going to need it for a time now that things are warming up. I will refill the ready wood supply in the living room so that the wood will be a dry as I can get it when the next winter blast comes. The ready wood supply is enough for three days of continuous burning.
The girls from Florida really loved the insert during those really cold days. But on Christmas eve when everyone was over there was no way I could use it. With that much body heat it would have run everyone out of the living room! But that night when it was just us and the Girls I fired it up and they parked themselves in the living room and stayed there until late that night.
We invested in a pellet stove several years ago, and we fired it up during the last few sub-zero temperatures. Cozy.
Too many years ago, great happiness.
A family lake weekend with friends.
Family labradors & friends labradors totaled 13 !
Life was grand.
Seeing these 2, equally grand.
Good morning, Patience and Ma🤗🤗. Mental cocktails carry their own warmth, for the heart and the soul. We spend a lifetime building our supply for those times when we might need a lift…which, as I get older, is quite often.
Forgive me, Poyeema. These early morning eyes misread who posted your lovely memory.
Three dear “Ps” on this branch of our tree…you, Patience, and parichute.
And of course, phoenix…but she has a “the” in front of her name which makes it easier😉.
Again, mea culpa💕
…and dear patty from porterville💕
Hello Fellow Treepers,
Frozen Road in Amish Country — Went shopping in Holmes County Ohio, where I picked up some trail bologna, Alpine Swiss cheese, orange marmalade, and boysenberry jam. On the way there, I came across an icy road reflecting the sunlight on a magnificent winter’s day. Photo taken by me yesterday.
Wishing all here safe travels on your roads to adventure!
Wow !
That is Beautiful ,
Phoenix !
I have Enjoyed Your Photographs and Thank You for Sharing Them 😊
Thank you for your kind compliments, RyderLee!
Happy trails to you! 🙂
Less icy but far, far prettier than my driveway. 😨
If your driveway is icier than this road, my bet is that there’s plenty of beauty in it.
Good morning, phoenix. Gorgeous. What an eye you have for looking at the ordinary and seeing beauty in it, as here.
Good morning and thank you Betsy jones! Though to me, Amish Country is far from ordinary. And this photo does not even begin to do justice to what this landscape looked like yesterday.
Oh I’m sure! When I take a snap of some part of God’s creation that I wish to preserve because it overwhelms me, I find that the result is never as I experience it. I’ve decided it is because what I am taking a picture of is not isolated, but surrounded by bigger parameters. More than I can get in one shot.
But there is no doubt that you have a gift, phoenix. So say I at least, and I’m certain others here will agree.😘
Exactly so, Betsy jones, about being surrounded by 360 degrees of glorious experience but only being able to capture what’s right ahead of you! Because what people can’t see in the photo is the horse and buggy trundling by along the cross street behind me, followed by a super-long truck, possibly involved in hauling fresh wood from the logging company just down the road that has a small mountain of lumber piled up and waiting. And the light of the sun was nearly overwhelmingly blazing and dazzling, so I was shooting straight into it blind, then turning my back to see the shots I’d taken in a bit of shade, then adjusting the angle.
In any case, thank you very much for your kind encouragement! 🙂
😊
Good Morning, phoenix. That is how my lane looked since last Friday!! No one coming in and we could not go out. Son and wife had to go to his sisters house for Christmas. Hubby and I had Christmas by ourselves (of course there was the four dogs and four cats laying around the woodburner stove in the kitchen). Daughter in law was able to use her phone to face time with us so we could at least see them and wish them safe travels to go back to Philadelphia.
After 5 days of ice the weather is warmer and we were able to get out yesterday!! Living back in the woods can have it’s disadvantages sometimes, but I would not trade it to live anywhere else.
Good morning, marti!
Fascinating how the weather, especially in the wilderness, can be so beautiful and so perilous at the same time. Your place sounds gorgeous … and I’m sorry you weren’t able to get together with your family in person this Christmas.
The beauty of the snow and shinny, glittering ice is fantastic. This last rain made a lot of ice but didn’t coat the trees with it. There is nothing to compare to the beauty of all the tree branches coated with ice and the early morning sun just shinning thru and making everything look like crystal. It is beauty beyond imagination. I love my woods with all its different looks with each season.
Thank you for all your pictures, they capture my heart in them. Love them all.
Good morning, marti. Having lived on the periphery of woods (dark and deep) your feelings resonate with me. We would be there still if circumstances hadn’t demanded otherwise. Miss it to this day…
Hello Betsy, when you have seen the glorious beauty of living in or near the woods you never forget it. I am sure there will always be a special place in your heart for the home you had near the woods.
It was that. It gets into your soul. Nearer my God to Thee.💕
Beautiful, Phoenix. Our country is extraordinary.
Thank you very much, JWoo! 🙂
Yes, America still has so much to offer, and so much that’s worth keeping!
The sound of silence. That is what it is when out in the woods in deep cold with heavy snow conditions. Every sound muffled, and the only sounds are those that your making. There is no place else I have ever been that brings forth the feeling of magnificent solitude so strong.
Everything is harder and goes slower and every move has to be thought out and planned. Even taking a pee!
And so living, moving, and doing anything in such an environment sharpens the mind and senses, IF you don’t withdrawal within yourself and remain situationally aware. No place like it!
Silence, or wind through the trees, or the faint wind-blown notes of winter birds like Dark-eyed Juncos and Black-capped Chickadees …
My husband transports Amish and is frequently on these roads in Holmes County. Beautiful photo!
Howdy neighbor! Thanks for the kind compliment! 🙂
Morning Ya’ll 🙂
Good morning, Mr jay. Brrrrrrr!! The cold is gone here, at least for a bit. Damp and extremely mild. I’ll take it!
Maidin Mhaith Betsy, back to rain here which I’m used to. 🇺🇸🌧🇺🇸
All moisture welcome here…waiting…😉
Ditto, however I’m thankful it’s 61 this morning. And our oldest son and family have their water on after 8 days.
Good morning Bet! ❤️😍
Good morning, dear friend😘 It looks as if we have some coming at the end of next week. The freeze looks as if it will decimate some of our plants, though I am praying not. Only the start of winter, and as rah says for Texas there is the same to come, my worries that it might I’m trying to say la la la. And follow my new mantra…today I will not stress over the things over which I have no control. Let’s just call it a work in progress😉
Just came back from a fill in trip to my neighbourhood Walmart, where there were giant gaps on the products I needed…but of course there were.
But I had the most glorious gift when I came home. I mentioned days ago that I had put out a small suet cake weeks and weeks back, and that that cake had had no takers.
So I was standing outside by back door in a reverie when what should come swooping in to partake but a beautiful little crested woodpecker! He was a beauty and I suspect was a youngster from this year’s brood. I can’t tell you how that one small thing thrilled me. The intensity of feeling it was a surprise. But I find the older I get it is the smallest things that deliver pleasure. And that is a gift as well.Hope all is well with you, my brother, and all your brood…the younger ones and the older ones as well💕🤗
🙂
Thanks for posting those songs, Jay… love the selections from Skynyrd, a couple of their lesser-known masterpieces.
Howdy, back in the day I used to play the whole album or tape so I got to like a lot of songs that didn’t get the airtime as the hits 🇺🇸😎🇺🇸
Morning jay!
Howdy Gramps 🇺🇸😁🇺🇸
Jay, excellent choices from Skynyrd!
I remember picking up soda bottles while fishing in Vermont as a kid: there was no Curtis Loew to listen to, though got to enjoy time with my Dad and also exchanged proceeds for baseball cards.
You and Garrison have irreplaceable memories of fishing with your fathers. When I think of blessings, that is certainly one I suspect the full appreciation of grows as you lads grew older…I’m only guessing, but I bet it’s true😊
And thank God, also with both of my daughters, and my sweetheart’s Grandson, too Betsy Jones.
🤗…..Tradition. A gift we pass on. There is strength in that, GreyRockMan. That has given me one gigantic smile.
My Dad tolerated our music at a volume level much lower than when he wasn’t home! 😁😁
Why I am not churched. . .
I would do church with you any day, Garrison.
We no longer attend due to too many obvious Nicolaitans. You can’t reason or negotiate with terrorists and we… sure as all get out… shouldn’t fund them.
My church was Mike Pence’s mega church and others like him. I have a picture alongside him as I gave a speech at the state house when he was governor. I was so blinded… but much has been revealed to me as much continues to be revealed to us all. Witnessing actions of our political leaders here in Indiana gives me ZERO hope for RepubliCONS here. You can’t unsee FAKE.
There you go and there we went.
My worship is in a chair in our garage or on our patio, monastery incense, my journal to write to Him, and my Bible for Him to talk to me.
Mornin’ JWoo . . . Agreed. 🙂
Good morning, JWoo! Mike Pence’s Indian name should be No Juevos.
His political name here in Indiana is now “mud”. I don’t think he could be elected dog catcher.
So a funny about that….
When Benedict Pence settled in Zionsville (not too far from me)… there were people revealing his home address on Nextdoor.
I was KICKED OFF the Nextdoor app because I countered that they were threatening not just him but innocent neighbors around him. That they shouldn’t be sharing anyone’s personal address to threaten and intimidate.
Apparently Nextdoor thought bringing injury to him, his family, his home, and his neighbors was a-ok and I was the terrorist.
Unreal.
GrandpaM…. you and juevos… you crack me up.
So blessed to have found my people.
Sadly, Pence hides behind his mask of faith… when the only faith he has is in his handlers.
I despise those that do that. I think I mentioned how the Texas climate alarmist mouth piece Hayhoe does the same thing.
Imagine the wrath that they may incur on the day of judgment 😳
I dream of it…
Good afternoon Grandpa, I think TRAITOR To Our Country is a better name for him!!!
GrandpaM, I know just enough Spanish to be aware that Juevos=Eggs, though I have a feeling that is NOT what you mean?
Huevos???
He’s talking booty rocks and making me giggle and blush, GreyRockMan… no pun intended or by coincidence.
(Sorry couldn’t help it.. it was RIGHT there.)
I attend a similar Church… I call it The Church of the Live Oaks.. 😀👍..just me, the trees, animals and God..and it’s right outside my house..🙏 to you..
🇺🇸💪😀👍
I have attended the Church of God here several times before but it is just too big for my tastes! There is a small old church just a mile down the road from me in New Columbus/Ovid that Phillis, my old widow neighbor attended and I’ve been thinking about trying it.
Thing is I end up working a lot of Sunday’s in my job.
If I had your job, I’d take my Church with me on all those trips..especially when your road is going thru the Lord’s beautiful landscapes 😀👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
I have a New Testament in the truck. Picked it up at a truckers chapel at a truck stop.
💕🙏
Let me know when service is and I’ll join you.
I used to drive 2 hours to attend Chapel in the Pines in Arnold, CA… Sequoia National Forest… then over to Snowshoe Brewery for apricot ale and lunch.
(I’m not a drunk… just a foodie and flavor snob. One beer or one glass of wine is fine… two or three affects me… four or more, hit the floor.)
Happy memories when living in East SF Bay wasn’t THAT bad.
JWoo, I believe you are wise.
I just saw this after making the off color joke above. My apologies. Blew my image…lol.
Wisdom is subjective and I’m always at the ready to learn more. If I didn’t have a little wisdom from my years, I would be doing something very, very wrong.
I have found the Treehouse branches and the Treepers that come here to be a great church. There are many good bible studies here and warm fellowship with Christians that I would never have found in many brick and mortar churches.
Garrison, you are such a special person and a good influence to all us here in our Treehouse Church. God Bless You!
I have always maintained this is true, marti. We had a lovely discussion over Christmas here about that. I certainly feelings it.
Thank you for your kind words, marti. 🙂 Really, I’m just a guy who likes to post music and occasional commentary. It’s the people who come here—people like those here today—who post honest, civil opinions about how we relate to Our Lord, that are special. Honest.
Blowing generalized smoke (the misdirection of “much speaking”) that avoids specifics does not refute specifics. If what I wrote, as you claim, “is radically not true!”[sic] why not specifically offer a refutation line-by-line?
Line 1. If this is ‘not true’ show us an example from the Bible where either of two those terms in quotation marks appear? Unless you do, the statement remains true.
Line 2: if you can’t find those two terms in the Bible then those two terms are indeed not Biblical and the statement remains true.
Line 3: Find κοινωνία“koinonia” in a koine Greek-English lexicon that makes it not true. Unless you do the statement remains true.
Line 4: Give one example of a NT saint whom God “chose, saves and loves” — as per His inspired standard in Romans 8:29-30 and Ephesians 1:4-5 — where God then breaks His fellowhip with that person. Unless you give a Bible specific the statement remains true. And, while you’re at it, show us any place in the NT where a believer / former believer is ever called an “apostate.”
Lines 5-6: Not true? Psalm 51:12 included?
Lines 7-8: Last sentence – also not true?
If so, then I’m sorry but we appear to worship a different God.
Ah, let the religious wars begin!
Context.; nitpicking context omitters, please if there’s anything we should have learned by now, WP and Michael, everything requires context. Both can be right, just needs the correct context.
May Peace be upon the pages of the daily Open Thread.
Amen! Discussion is always welcome so that when the discussion is over, we all part as friends.
“therefore sin cannot go unpunished.” This is correct, however one must try to understand the “punishment” from the viewpoint of the Father. Within each and every “punishment”, hardship, test, and indeed in every moment, He is “hiding” a message – a message that what we are doing is not right in His eyes. The “hardship” we endure is meant for us to take a step back and reevaluate our current actions/path. Sometimes (as with me) it may take almost a lifetime to “get the message”. God will communicate with each individual in their understanding – you know when you know – it’s really a matter of being aware to “listening”. We should really regard the “punishments” as mercy – because it is a clear indication the God still believes in US – and WANTS us to correct to come back.
Beautifully stated. As CS Lewis wisely said, “You can’t go back to the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”
His blessings of mercy and grace and infinite patience with our human frailties. No matter how much of one’s life is lived.
Howdy Garrison my uncles had some albums of her she was a USO performer! 🙂
I heard her a lot on the 50’s on the radio. listening to her now is magical. 🙂
Interestingly, I ran across this on American Greatness, per the beautiful “I’ll Be Seeing You” which you posted. Its almost as if the author knew you’d have this song as one of your choices today, my friend.😉
https://amgreatness.com/2022/12/28/ghosts-of-old-year-love-of-new-year/
Don’t recall seeing the “I’ll Be Seeing You” movie, Bet. But . . . Joseph Cotton and Ginger Rogers! Wow. Think I’ll watch “The 3rd Man” again after lunch. That ending scene with Joseph Cotton and Alida Valli is movie history.
I need to revisit that one again as well. I’ve seen movies in which the ending makes a powerful impact, in such a way that I will watch it again, but more intently. Some are just “two viewings required”… or maybe more.
Good morning, Garrison. What a lovely selection of beautiful singing, lyrics and music. Poetic really. Gentle. Perfect.
Mornin’ Bet. I was a “boomer” kid (’44) so a lot of this music carried over from that time.
It’s timeless, my friend. What goes around comes around. No question about it.
Thanks, Garrison… these Stafford selections bring back fond memories of sitting by the family radio and listening to music. Yes, in those days before most families had a television. Our entertainment was programs on the radio, not just music, but also storytelling, The images were created within each person’s mind, not displayed on a screen.
Sky King . . . “Pluck your magic twanger Froggy . . .” Sgt. Preston Of The Yukon.
Dittos G…and his faithful companion Yukon King or was that Tonto. Gunsmoke was also on radio if I remember
Morning Garrison!
It’s Cursday, today, Treepers. Pet your puppied for me . . . :
Beautiful! This is why we were created. Moments of giving.
Sherry would Love to have one but I know darn well that if we had one that it would be in the house!
On the foot of the bed, maybe?
Yep!, On the couch, etc. Everywhere a dog goes.
It would be about the size of a medium weight dog. Just think, though, they don’t bark.
So sweet, patty.
Might make a great “starter” horse for the toddlers. Can you imagine a tiny bit and saddle? If they fall off the ground is only inches away.
What a lovely introduction of would be for wee ones. Start early. Then a lifelong love of these beautiful animals. My sister in law at 80 has no more horses at her riding and carriage driving establishment. She gave her last one to a very close friend who has so much property in Wales and beaucoup funds to support this additional one. We knew this was coming…still hard for her.
Hard, indeed. To spend one’s whole life with horses and then to have none would seem to leave a great hole. A big adjustment to make. God bless your sister-in-law.
Thank you😘
Sometimes I brag about how prepared we are for the big one. Well, we just endured 36 hours without electricity and it was hard. The two days were overcast with heavy rain and big wind so didn’t want to go out. The night began at 5 p.m. dark with sunrise about 7 a.m.
What worked: daylight; spring water; wood stoves; crank radio and flashlight, landline telephone. I cooked bacon eggs pancakes on Jotul wood stove as well as perk coffee and tea water. Big pot of soup for lunch with sandwiches. I washed dishes in boiling water from stove.
What didn’t work: everything electric; hot showers; internet; banking; brokerage;
We all endured stress since our routines could not be done. This was a revelation to me that doing without electricity is doable but hard. After the first day we began to adapt to new routines but when the electric guys came and there was light we are happy. I can now imagine what people went through hurricaine IAN. only they had it much worse as we had shelter, warmth, food, pure water, our health.
Oh, and we got a new cat on the back porch. anybody need a kitty? It’s very friendly.
💕
Glad you were prepared. Niiiiiice. 🤟
We endured the same in our Texas freeze two years ago. You are so right, Merry. We made do and made it, but it left us feeling uncomfortable and undone within ourselves. We were not prepared for electrical failure so had to wing it. Thankfully we had just replaced an electric stove for a gas one, and that I believe saved us from much worse.
So glad you we’re equipped to endure.
We are such creature of habit that 2 years ago it took us several days to figure out that the second floor was much warmer and comfortable than the cold first floor. Once we got our brains to work we moved to an upstaier bedroom for the duration.
Oh boy do I understand that (heat rises)! Doing things in a routine fashion has deprived me of many lightbulb moments well after the fact that it would have been to my advantage to have reached for the switch earlier. Ah well…live and definitely learn.
Good morning all!
My Girls left with my granddaughter, left 4:50 yesterday morning with their two dogs, and their hairless cat. Got out at 04:50 yesterday morning. I departed the yard at work at 07:21 which was 6 minutes late, and got to Grand Rapids at 11:35 which was 1 hour and 15 minutes early. However they had me unloaded and reloaded in a little over an hour and I got back to the yard in Anderson by 17:00.
Put the loaded trailer in door 58. Fueled the truck. Topped off the DEF. Washed the windows, mirrors, and lights. purged the air tanks of water, put in a gallon windshield washer fluid and checked all other fluid levels, then parked it. Plugged in the heater and turned off the master power switch because I did not know how long it would be sitting.
Turns out I’ll probably be going out Monday. Toyota is still going gangbusters.
The temp got up to 45 deg today and so the melt was on. The road conditions were fine except the usual white spray one gets after a thaw on roads that were heavily treated. The evidence of slide offs was evident all along I-69. A whole bunch of people relearned the lessons of winter driving the hard way. Glad I wasn’t out in it.
So Sherry and I have our home to ourselves once again. She spent the day cleaning. Having 3 dogs in the house during a blizzard………well, you know the deal.
Good morning and be safe out there!
May yours and Sherry’s memories be sweet and everlasting as this holiday season is winding down!
🙏for continuing safe travels🙏
Thank you!
Iam relating a true story, My daughter a few years back ,drove from CA. to MO. to attend college . Needless to say I was very worried ,Well, a friends husband was a long hauler and heard our conversation. HE. said give me her car lID, and license
number .Well Ididnt think much about until I got a call from my daughter who ,Mom I was sleeping in the truck stop and when I woke up 3 Guys were looking in the window at me.One said done be scared .your mother asked us to look in on you.to keep you safe. They relayed via. trackball the way to the collage. GOD BLESS ALL THOSE TRUCKERS AND MAY GOD KEEP THEM SAFE.
Guardian angels were there for her, sandra. One never knows what guise they will take. There is no way to change my mind about this. And yes… Bless them all!🙏💕
In agreement with you, Betsy! When looking back over my life, especially as a teen/twenty-something, I distinctly remember those “angels.” Brings a chill up my spine.
No one/nothing can change my mind about it either…
And, of course, “they” were sent by my heavenly Father whom I didn’t even know then.
Remembrances of these times are very humbling.
Helen Keller was sent to a Christian school run by an Episcopalian minister and his wife who taught her the Name of God.
She “told” him she always knew God, she just didn’t know He had a name. That sent chills through me.
I know there are such angels, and I know on more than one occasion, my son’s have never left his side.
As you rightly say and feel…humbling and oh so grateful.🙏💕
Yes, Betsy, it’s such a comfort to know God is there for us. We only have to believe…
“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;”
Psalm 91:11
Sigh….beautiful🙏

I am ham and turkeyed out! Both Sherry and I are ready for some red meat! With it warming up I might grill them myself, or I might order from Texas Roadhouse and get carry out. That place is always so busy and is only 3 miles from my house, so we don’t go in to dine. I just bring it home. Love their version of the Blooming Onion and I have never been disappointed in a steak from there.
ours has a special between 3-5 for 10.99 steak/sides as we did the same thing
Grill it myself it is this time. Sherry pulled out two Porter house steaks to thaw.
What time is dinner?
I don’t know yet. I’ve got to get my lazy butt out there and clean the grill.
We stopped at Backroads BBQ in Lebanon, IN (Rah might know it) and the kid ordered the loaded Mac with pulled pork on it. That was brunch this morning and a big bowl of fruit. We have huge Aldis ham in the fridge, I can’t bring myself to prep. It will get portioned and into the freezer for ham and beans and spiral sliced sandwiches. 3 1/2 more days of vacation… it’ll take me 2 more days to actually wind down. Just in time to go back… Lord help me.
Of course I know Lebanon. Used to take Hwy 32 from Anderson to there all the time to get on I-65 and then they put those darn roundabouts in and traffic at Noblesville and Westfield got so bad I now run down to Indy and catch 465 to 865 to 65.
When I am hitting I-74 west I get off onto Hwy 32 at the Lebanon exit and take it the 16 miles to catch I-74.
I could tell from your stories you’re close by. I’m due west of you just south of Lebanon.
I avoid the round town at all costs. People are crazy and my brand new car was hit 4 times in three months (all non fault accidents). You start to take it personally and crappy drivers give me PTSD.
Now.. it’s back roads, mansions, and horse farms for scenery and I’m the better for it.
Won’t be staying here though.. not with the horrible land grab and tilt up concrete warehouses popping up everywhere. I feel for our farmers and now that they’ve dwindled the fertilizer… they’re pushed even further to sell.
Yea, it’s nuts!
Well, it’s plan B! Marginally warm enough to grill but the wind is not cooperating so I told Sherry to put the steaks in the fridge and we’ll have them Sunday when it is supposed to be 50 deg. So Texas Road House carry out it is.
Ha! Who but the idiots running NYC are surprised?

December 29 Oswald Chambers
Deserter or Disciple?
From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. —John 6:66
When God, by His Spirit through His Word, gives you a clear vision of His will, you must “walk in the light” of that vision (1 John 1:7). Even though your mind and soul may be thrilled by it, if you don’t “walk in the light” of it you will sink to a level of bondage never envisioned by our Lord. Mentally disobeying the “heavenly vision” (Acts 26:19) will make you a slave to ideas and views that are completely foreign to Jesus Christ. Don’t look at someone else and say, “Well, if he can have those views and prosper, why can’t I?” You have to “walk in the light” of the vision that has been given to you. Don’t compare yourself with others or judge them— that is between God and them. When you find that one of your favorite and strongly held views clashes with the “heavenly vision,” do not begin to debate it. If you do, a sense of property and personal right will emerge in you— things on which Jesus placed no value. He was against these things as being the root of everything foreign to Himself— “…for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses” (Luke 12:15). If we don’t see and understand this, it is because we are ignoring the underlying principles of our Lord’s teaching.
Our tendency is to lie back and bask in the memory of the wonderful experience we had when God revealed His will to us. But if a New Testament standard is revealed to us by the light of God, and we don’t try to measure up, or even feel inclined to do so, then we begin to backslide. It means your conscience does not respond to the truth. You can never be the same after the unveiling of a truth. That moment marks you as one who either continues on with even more devotion as a disciple of Jesus Christ, or as one who turns to go back as a deserter.
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
Am I getting nobler, better, more helpful, more humble, as I get older? Am I exhibiting the life that men take knowledge of as having been with Jesus, or am I getting more self-assertive, more deliberately determined to have my own way? It is a great thing to tell yourself the truth.

Acts 2:21
PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Mornin’ all!
Good Morning!
I agree with the meme, it describes exactly.
And when are you going to pay attention to the rest of the uncovered part of the picture in order to deliver the integrity of the great reset situation in a correct global context?
When they regionalize the internet (just as they intend to do with the physical world – and each region does and plans to do 99.9% of the same, exactly on the roadmap of the great reset in – all on the Old Rockefeller plan, commissions and trusts, for regionalization), and you will no longer be able to find correct information about Russia from Russia even if you want (that’s not a problem for you, because you don’t want to)?
If you do not know that they will regionalize the internet (with interruption .Ru, and so one), to tell you in advance; they are not thinking “Should I interrupt?”, but “when.”
Greetings from Yuri Sayamov.

What about, ‘once saved, always saved’ ? Your take?
“Can a person lose their salvation or is it once saved always saved?
The doctrine of “once saved, always saved” teaches that it is not possible for a child of God to sin in such a way that he will be lost. Many people, who undoubtedly are very sincere and possess a desire to do what is right, find tremendous comfort in this doctrine. This doctrine, however, is not taught in the Bible.Feb 1, 2019
Looking at the doctrine of ‘once saved, always saved’ – Camden Newshttps://www.camdenarknews.com › news “
The only way a child of God can lose salvation is if he or she blasphemes the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 12:31-32
New International Version
31 And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
I’m a teeny bit nervous… traveling to London for the first time, a short 5 day trip.. Sat-Thu this week…
Betsy, what’s the weather going to be like?
Do I need Euro’s or just a credit card? Umbrellas? Heavy winter jacket?
I know I can get this info online, on travel forums. Just curious about weather, Ive heard it will be cold cold and i should bring
a heavy jacket. And Ive heard it will be rainy, bring an umbrella. I’ll do both.
Anyway, have a very Happy New Year to all here. And God bless us everyone.
Body armor and eyes in the back of your head……………..
It will be cold, Bananas. Prepare for layering. And yes, a heavy jacket or coat.
No…the UK uses the pound sterling. No Euros needed.
I’d advise getting in touch with your credit card company to tell them you’ll be in the UK, giving them the dates from the time you leave until you set foot back on American soil, so you’ll have no problems in using your card that might be a red flag. That’s just smart…
Remember the UK is 220 volt, not 110, which the US uses, so you will need an adapter so you can recharge your phone, use any plug ends you may have.
A folding umbrella is a good idea. Plus good walking shoes…
One bit of advice we received was to try not to go to sleep after you arrive until night time… I say “try”… helps to set your body clock.
And above all!!! Have a wonderful time. Its a short visit I know but try to take in as many churches/cathedrals, historic buildings, museums as possible…unless you are on a tour and the itinerary is set. If driving, take care, remembering they drive on the other side of the road.
Make sure your passport and tickets are LOCKED in the hotel safe. If however you intend to buy gifts or souvenirs, you must show your passport at the time of purchase to recover the VAT (tax) that is incorporated into the price of everything. Keep all receipts.
But make sure if you are walking around with your passport, cards etc you keep them safe!!! London is not the same as it was when we were there unfortunately. if you have one of those things you can wear around your waist under a coat in which you keep valuables, that is the best answer. Leave any valuable jewelry at home.
And please do try to have some authentic fish n chips at least once!!! From what the call ” the chippy”. There are hundreds there. Oft times wrapped in newspaper. My, gosh I’m jealous!😁
And enjoy, enjoy, ENJOY!!!😘
You are the best! Thank you.
. . . but deliver us from the Evil One.

And that’s centigrade. Someone is being naughty…colour propaganda.
I guess I should have pointed that out. But I am so used to it because I read so much about “climate change” and spent so much time outside the US.
It was apparent to me, rah. Scare mongering. And people swallow it whole without chewing (it over ) first.

I did get my funky butt a little clean when doing river and spring crossings and when I broke the ice into a pond doing the slide for life.
That’s attitude what I like – really sustainable. There’s no need to drool, we just have to pull ourselves together and resist what’s going on.
Anybody else notice that the Idaho University stories have totally dropped off? Think that the FB! know who did it, but they’re from a protected group, so they’re keeping it quiet. And to postulate further, Americans underestimate the hatred of foreign men towards American kids, which is driven by intense jealousy. Think some recent foreign imports offed those kids, so the FB! has to keep it quiet because importing foreigners is what treasonous Democrats do 24/7.
Bottom line is that it is the oceans that control our climate and weather and not CO2 or any other “Green House Gas”.
Take the time to go through this summary from Joe Bastardi and you will understand more about what drives our climate and weather than Michael Mann or any other alarmist and at least 95% of the rest of the population of this country.

Russia will create a unified system for monitoring the anthropogenic impact on the environment
They will also monitor the condition of reservoirs and soil
MOSCOW, December 28. /TASS/. Specialists of Lomonosov Moscow State University, together with colleagues from other Russian organizations, will develop a system of integrated monitoring of factors of anthropogenic impact on the environment, including reservoirs and soil. Scientists of the Competence Center of the National Technological Initiative (NTI) “Technologies for reducing anthropogenic impact”, which is being created on the basis of the university, will solve this task, the press service of the Moscow State University reported on Wednesday.
MSU was selected to create the center as part of a grant competition organized by the NTI Project Support Fund in 2022 on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The main directions of his work will be the development of mobile systems for remote sensing of the earth and the development of a comprehensive system for monitoring the main factors of anthropogenic pressure on nature.
“The purpose of the work of <…> [the center] is to create a system of integrated monitoring of the main factors of anthropogenic impact on water resources, soils, atmosphere, natural communities (biocenoses), social agglomerations. This includes modification of existing methods of collecting and analyzing information, development of new sensors for monitoring systems, and equipment for placement on mobile platforms, including spacecraft and unmanned aerial vehicles,” the press service of the university quotes Academician Stepan Kalmykov, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Scientific director of the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University.
The consortium of the NTI Competence Center has already included 27 organizations: seven universities, five institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences and 15 industrial partners. The unified monitoring system is designed to systematize and clarify disparate data on the state of the environment, as well as to promote the development of new types of sensors and software systems for their collection.
“[MSU] scientists are already able to create long-lived and fast-reacting semiconductor sensors capable of detecting a variety of gases – greenhouse gases, toxic gases, and many others. In monitoring, it is also possible to actively use the achievements of the Department of Analytical Chemistry [MSU] <…>, [thanks to which] it is possible to quickly and qualitatively determine the composition of the most complex objects. This is sometimes critically important for the proper reclamation of contaminated soils and reservoirs,” said Sergey Kalyuzhny, director of the project office of the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University, whose words are quoted in the message.
The participants of the consortium of the center will also train specialized specialists capable of leading research and development work in this area. Their plans include the adaptation of educational programs for teachers, students and schoolchildren, cooperation with network educational organizations.
About NTI centers
The competence centers of the National Technology Initiative operate on the basis of universities and scientific organizations for the development of end-to-end technologies of STI. 24 centers on robotics, quantum communications, artificial intelligence, photonics, hydrogen technologies and other areas have been established in Russia today.
In 2022, together with the structure being created at Moscow State University, two more new divisions were launched: the Competence Center of the NTI “Geodata and Geoinformation Technologies” on the basis of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography and the Competence Center of the NTI “Technologies of Mobile Energy Storage” on the basis of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.”

In conclusion: we can confirm that the alternative to “green climate” cheaters is present and the future is in good hands.
But the most important thing – let’s never forget-is to praise again the 99% of the alt-media (including TCH and Breitbart): among the whole world’s billions or perhaps trillions of articles, they never had, and continue to have, not one adequate material that honestly and objectively reflects these parts of reality in Russia.

Hello all.
Please say a prayer for embattled member of Priest for Life and unabashed supporter of President Trump, Frank Pavone.

“On December 22, 2020, at the initiative of the Faculty of Global Processes and the UNESCO Department for the Study of Global Problems of Lomonosov Moscow State University, an international Scientific Forum “COVID-19 and Human Security” was held with the participation of UNESCO, the World Academy of Art and Science, the Club of Rome, scientists from Russia and a number of foreign countries.
…
Speaking about such a phenomenon as the spread of coronavirus, Professor Chuchalin noted that this infectious disease is one of the oldest human diseases, which currently has 52 serotypes. The gene pool of this viral disease indicates its extreme spread in the biosphere. It is difficult to name living matter that would not be affected by it or would not be infected with a virus.
Concluding the report, Professor Chuchalin expressed the opinion that the XXI century should be recognized as the century of creating a new generation of vaccines that will fight various types of infections.”
_
He’s right about the urgent need for vaccines, but not about the origin of the virus. Professor Jeffrey Strahl, a proponent of biolaboratory theory, a proponent of multipolarity and Russia (and a participant in the last meeting of the Valdai Club, which took place recently), is an authority there.
_
World Covid Games
We present you Prof. Jeffrey Sachs:
So far so good: we know that Americans stop at nothing to achieve their goals; we know about developments in biotechnology and the opportunities they offer, etc. … And here, in a show of honesty, the highly respected Prof. and expert Jeffrey Sachs isn’t shy about pointing out the malevolent Americans. Okay.
What solution does Sachs offer?
“the chair of The Lancet covid19 Commission on the political response… he believes the pandemic will be contained in 2021. and not just because vaccines are coming…”
“…we need more countries to produce vaccines, test kits…”
“…widespread vaccine coverage in the U.S. is rapidly reducing new infections, illnesses and deaths…”
“…the poor deserve to have the vaccine at lower prices…”
“…[in] Nigeria Social resistance to the vaccine blocks adequate coverage of the population…”
“Vaccine manufacturers need to step up.”
“Speak out against the unfair distribution of covid vaccines-Jeffrey Sachs to African leaders”
“…Vaccine inequality and the economic risk for Africa 2022..”
“The U.S. is finally offering to send vaccines abroad, but the lack of a global plan leaves poor nations in crisis..”
“The G20 must act now to vaccinate the world.”
“One for all: an action plan to fund global vaccination and sustainable growth”
“Leading economists warn that the impact of covid will be severe and long-lasting for developing countries.
– a century-old crisis, with inequalities, climate change and a lack of access to vaccines against covid..”
Just a little bit of the title from: https :// www .jeffsachs .org/search?q=vaccine
This may explain why, after his speech on biolabs, the otherwise rapid-fire response to “the spread of disinformation about covid and vaccines” still does not exist on Wikipedia, and very likely will not have anything indicating “disinformation about covid” Jeffrey.
Nothing to damage the image he has built.:
“Jeffrey D. Sachs is a world-renowned professor of Economics, best-selling author, innovative educator and global leader in sustainable development.

So if the virus is real and really dangerous, then obviously a vaccine is needed. It just needs to be tested, safe and effective!
Sigh
Gain of Function
Funded by Fauci through EcoHealth Alliance, right?
Apparently the application for funding stated it was for Gain of Function.
The key is… was it intentionally or accidentally released. In the end.. is it something We The People would have ever voted our tax dollars to be used for.
I hope the answer is NO.
This brings back good memories of traveling in Cananda:
Lightning strikes out of the blue. Just learned that a nephew of mine is getting a divorce. It was a shock to everyone in the family. His wife has been having an affair and it blew up on Christmas eve!
Nobody, and I mean nobody in the family had any idea, including his dad, who is very close to them and their three children. Their youngest is less than a year old. This is where family comes in.
I am not prepared to blame it all on his wife because she always seemed to me to be a great person also. I know that since their marriage that she lost her Dad and her Mom then moved away. Then her older sister died, and they took in her three kids and the 15 year old boy just died from a drug overdose. She also has lost her two best friends.
They are now estranged, but I can’t imagine her abandoning her children which are now with their Dad. She seemed a great mother and those two popped out three boys in a row about as fast as a couple can have them.
Who knows what goes on behind closed doors?
Very sorry to hear this news. Hope the kids especially will be all right.
I’ve heard it said that there was only one family in this world which was not dysfunctional in some way … the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.
May or may not be related to your tragedy, but I believe there is more than enough evidence to show that families have been subjected to enormous stress factors, deliberately, IMO brought on by the entire Covid affair – the election debacle – the economic uncertainty, and I’m certain more to follow. The only “advice” I can come up with, is for everybody to try get as far from the media/social media/screen as possible. I found great relief in just getting out for walks, no distractions (for as long as possible) and basically re-evaluate just what life is really all about. It isn’t chasing the next buck – that’s for sure. Balance, balance.
Love this, Oldspeak! You are spot on. If only some of my family would take this counsel. Sigh.
Pray for our children in the schools. Our holiday ended early when a horrible 18.5 year old boy sent my sixteen yo daughter anime porn. She has a learning difference and therefore is about 3 years younger emotionally. There was some lying involved, so definitely Come to Meet Jesus moments. The devils coming for our families and finding your most precious as your Achilles heel. Over my dead body… and possibly that of an 18.5 year old predatory boy.
Daughter loves the Lord but hides her faith for fear of retaliation. Up at 4 AM yesterday writing a sternly worded letter to the school. There were other dynamics involved that prove, yet again, our schools are deeply corrupted and planting and cultivating sinister ideas in our students minds.
Until we stand up and put evil in its place and say NO MORE… we await with anticipation The Lord’s return and subsequent butt kicking. Can’t wait
Judge not lest we be also judged.
It’s never a good idea to “make up our own stories” based on what is superficially known. There are only two people who know what goes on in a marriage.
Troubles come not in single spies, but in battalions…and from the sound of what she faced, it seeks a battalion was what struck. May God in His infinite mercy be with them all, rah.
It’s best we Don’t know what goes on behind those doors, rah.
How would we have ANY peace?
Sending up prayer for the littles … my family is no stranger to these stresses.
Praying for your family and for their ultimate healing. Sounds like a train jumped the tracks and that’s very easy to do under extreme stress. The devil seeks prey to isolate and destroy. We can overcome.
Bless them and I pray for the children… and that The Lord would intervene on the family’s behalf to heal and restore. It is possible if contrite Spirits and forgiveness… and a whole lot of work commences.
Man that’s terrible Rah. I’m so sorry to hear it.
Amen
Ornaments and topper off the tree. Sherry’s new vacuum cleaner assembled. Tree disassembly and Christmas goes back up into the attic tomorrow. I’m just not motivated for that today and some of the other Christmas decorations aren’t down yet anyway. .
Now I’m getting dressed and calling up to order steaks for carry out.
Comrade Fauchi’s theme song.

So Bibi is back in office as of today. The most right wing government in Israeli History. It’s going to be interesting as they scare the liberals. Shalom
God bless Israel!
✝️ Lord, thank You for the day. Amen.
