Conspiracy theory tin foil hat of mine says it was done on purpose to condition Americans to be just what they are right now, placid, disinterested, afraid, and PTrump was a miracle bump in the road that will be over and done with, finally in their eyes, if the left has its way and arrests him.
That is their final plan to stop him from becoming Pres. and once again they are betting on the American people to be short term interested and many upset for a little while and then it all goes away in their minds and daily lives.
PTrump becomes a memory and the people wallow in their self destruction, never allowing their emotions or attention to get too involved with things like politics. The next NFL game is on and the beer is still flowing, so why get too concerned about anything?
I pray for intervention from God everyday to help fix all this and especially for PTrump. My faith in my fellow citizens has been shaken quite thoroughly of late however. God helps those who help themselves and we are definitely NOT helping ourselves right now.

Saw an interesting change today at the local gas stations in Allen, Tx.
Price for Gasoline went UP between 5-10 cents/gallon while prices posted for diesel dove DOWN 50-60 cents per gallon.
Looked at a few other costs out of curiosity:
Grade-A JP8 Jet fuel is trending up.
Marine Low Sulfur Diesel is trending up.
These are not “truck stop” stations, so it seems to indicate folks with diesel powered POV’s may either not be using them to travel or are trading them for other options. This begs the question of Diesel Costs at “truck stops” as well as paid by transportation entities that have their own pumps.
The question begs does the military really care about the price of gas for its jets? IDK.

100LL is about what I pay locally at the pump for clear 93. Surprisingly, it’s not gone up like gas and diesel fuel in the past couple years. Still around 6.50/gallon. ‘Clear’ gas is a formulated premium fuel that contains no ethanol. Due to beach equipment in the area with high performance engines, we can buy it as well as racing gas (more expensive) at the pump. Very convenient.
Fuel is locally still pretty high and I’ve noticed substantially higher than inland, something new in my experience living in Oregon. In the past coast and core fuel was within pennies. No more.
I have been seeing stories about mechanized and motorized units already limiting their “field” training days due to cost.
Folks do not realize that there are “operational” BUDGETS for military units all the way down to “Battalion” Equivalent Units.
When I was in the Army our Cavalry Squadron XO, S-3 and S-4 fretted month to month and training exercise to exercise over POL budgets, bullet budgets, spare parts budgets, et al. It was a major exercise in planning for Troop Commanders to balance field training vs budgets.
Bottom line is it matters to the commanders at the pointy end because it means limits on training-combat readiness but to the Staff Generals and Politicians … it seems they could care less.

It may be an overdue correction. Normally diesel around here (central NC) is about 30% higher or, say, a $1 more than regular. In Nov when regular got down around $3, diesel was climbing around$5.50 -$6.00. Now regular’s been staying around $3.25 and diesel has slowly dropped to around $4.75.
Depends on where you live. Here Diesel was running over $6 when I last was out. Haven’t been out since just before Thanksgiving……and don’t have to or plan to since we are not gift giving this year.

There are two issues here.
1) Is the birth rate in Sweden unusually low? It’s down less than 1% compared to 2019, from 11.858 births per 1000 people in 2019 to 11.764 births per 1000 people in 2022. That’s hardly significant.
2) Are there any reasons for a lower birth rate other than COVID jab? Of course there are.

The decrease in births is consistent across jabbed countries. Taiwan’s birth rate was down 23 percent at one point.
Enough time has passed to begin to rule out a lockdown effect. More importantly, just like the non-Covid excess mortality rate being tracked by the Ethical Skeptic, the lowered birth rate is persisting – which is consistent with a theory of jab generated autoimmune attack on reproductive organs.
Maybe the data will improve in the coming months.
If it doesn’t, and if the excess mortality rate continues to stay high, or even go up, we can all forget about inflation and start worrying about deflation due to depopulation.
