Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Reminds me of 1 Corinthians 1:26-29…
26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.
Which reminds me of…Romans 9:16-23…
Terrifying. Terrifying. Wonderfull. Wonderful!
Thanks DD. Greetings all. Clean fingernails are crying out for dirt! ❤️✝️❤️
“…and revealed them to babies…”
My mother in law when she was rocking my new daughter long, long ago, used to talk to her. I could here her talking to my little gift from God, telling her all sorts of sweet things…but adding always, “but you’ve seen Him since I have.”
The thought of that always made me smile.
Good morning Bet and Frank! Bet, this is such a sweet memory. ❤️😘
Good morning, G😘 It’s one that remains very strong with me.
I’m looking forward to the link you left last night. I do thank you for it. I hope this is another “tools down” day for you. (Fingers crossed and crossed again😉)
Pretty much a down day, Bet. Had a Thanksgiving lunch with Nipper at school. His lunch time is at 10:30. Played a little bit with two of my copper/lead chip implanting tools and that’a about it. Hope you enjoy the video. Have been watching Prophecy Watchers for many years. They have many greaat guests on.
Oh my, that is the sweetest thing🎚❤️
She never knew I was listening…one sided conversation it was….but oh, my heart…

Good afternoon ms idaho! I was thinking about you a couple of days ago and here you are.
Our problem was that our Irish Wolfhound learned to go outside during the winter. Come spring, we went out of our minds trying to find him the last remnants of snow so that he would FINALLY go again. I was ready to make snow out of our freezer for him before he finally got the idea that grass worked well, too.
in the winter time ..
Morning Ya’ll 🙂
Bless-ed day to you, Mr jay. 🤗

A note about Guy’s “randal knife” song. As Guy tells the story his mother bought the knife and gave it to his father who was going off to war. She obviously knew that he might need it to defend himself in combat and so she wanted to insure that he had a good blade . . . This is what proper Texas women do. His mom was a Texas woman of the first order. 🙂
Gracious chilly morning, Garrison😘
Good morning, Bet. Got up a little late this morning. 🙂
We have risen later than our normal around 6 am time the last couple of days as well. Not like us at all.
Good morning Garrison!

Thank “Not All There” Joe’s economic policies, most importantly his War on Coal, Oil and Natural Gas.
A member of the Fed Board of Governors, Christopher “Mega Salary” Waller, has told employers not to give wage rises to employees, as this only adds to inflation…
…waiting for the Fed to turn off the printing press and for Congress to quit spending.
His advice to people suffering the Fed and “Biden” caused economic misery?
There are plenty of unfilled positions out there, little pleb…go get another. There ya go.
Rich man and Lazarus come to mind.
Statements like that flabbergast me, G. Just like the sinister, satanic looking Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt (WEF acolyte and rabid “climate change” cultist) in Britain today with his Autumn Budget.
As Neil Oliver so accurately stated, the little people will be punished with ruinous increases in taxes and energy bills caused by the unhinged profligacy of governmental madmen.
The Conservative Party always claimed to be the party of low taxation. Under Thatcher this was true. That mantra has been murdered, cremated, and the ashes cast to the four winds.
In 2006 the Netherlands experienced a time of excessive rain and flooding. About two hundred horses were trapped on a small island with barely standing room. The locals had tried to rescue them by boat but were unsuccessful. Seven ladies came up with a plan to rescue the horses, with the help of many others.
In the darkest hours the kindness of some people never cease to amaze me.

The more videos or photos I see of animals and their surprising behaviours, the more I believe to the bottom of my soul, we know very little about animals.

10 or more years ago British TV showed four episodes of North and South. Industrial North vs Agricultural South. Cotton mill labor vs management. John Thornton vs Margaret Hale. This was my first sighting of Richard Crispin Armitage. Whew! Kiddie show, Robin Hood, cast Armitage as the baddie, Sir Guy of Gisbourne. Takes a while to adjust from John Thornton to Sir Guy. Whew!!
Never in my 81 years have I ever thought much of actors nor visited with fan club ladies, but joined a blog of old college profs and one minister’s wife to discuss our passion. Anyway, my gift to you treeper ladies is look up guy of gisborne on Youtube.

Wow, that’s a long time to live for someone from way back then. He has a great prayer that lives on!
That is a great age. It is more common than I had assumed, though. His life was spent praying, fasting, and physically working. If I took the time I could locate many other examples of Orthodox Saints (and Monastics in general) who lived long lives.
In accounts of his Life he is described as being very strong, rather a giant to those around him, but meek and humble.

The Eternal Goal
By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing…I will bless you… —Genesis 22:16-17
Abraham, at this point, has reached where he is in touch with the very nature of God. He now understands the reality of God.
My goal is God Himself…
At any cost, dear Lord, by any road.
“At any cost…by any road” means submitting to God’s way of bringing us to the goal.
There is no possibility of questioning God when He speaks, if He speaks to His own nature in me. Prompt obedience is the only result. When Jesus says, “Come,” I simply come; when He says, “Let go,” I let go; when He says, “Trust God in this matter,” I trust. This work of obedience is the evidence that the nature of God is in me.
God’s revelation of Himself to me is influenced by my character, not by God’s character.
’Tis because I am ordinary,
Thy ways so often look ordinary to me.
It is through the discipline of obedience that I get to the place where Abraham was and I see who God is. God will never be real to me until I come face to face with Him in Jesus Christ. Then I will know and can boldly proclaim, “In all the world, my God, there is none but Thee, there is none but Thee.”
The promises of God are of no value to us until, through obedience, we come to understand the nature of God. We may read some things in the Bible every day for a year and they may mean nothing to us. Then, because we have been obedient to God in some small detail, we suddenly see what God means and His nature is instantly opened up to us. “All the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen…” (2 Corinthians 1:20). Our “Yes” must be born of obedience; when by obedience we ratify a promise of God by saying, “Amen,” or, “So be it.” That promise becomes ours.
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
Christianity is not consistency to conscience or to convictions; Christianity is being true to Jesus Christ.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER
Duchess, I used each of the last two that you post here, at both my parents funerals….(painful as they were 8 weeks apart).
thank you for your daily inspirations!
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

✟
“…for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered!!!
duchess01,
Every day I thanks Jesus as you do. Because He strengthen us with His blessings and listen to our prayers.
Your Faith is enormous.
Sometimes it is necessary to fight fire with fire.
An American version of this is for Trump to fire every bureaucrat he can when he gets elected in 2024, Abe Lincoln style. Brazilian President crosses the Rubicon – https://slaynews.com/news/millions-flood-streets-brazil-protest-voter-fraud-bolsonaro-moves-annul-election/?utm_source=mailpoet
Three million Brazilians can spontaneously protest a fraud election and Americans cannot muster the courage to do the same. At what point can Americans muster the courage to fight fraud? Are freedom-loving Americans this disorganized? I’ve thought about the phone flash mob concept as a way to help in a spontaneous protest. How do we organize better? This is a real problem as the authoritarians chip away at freedom knowing that there will not even be a peep of protest from the freedom crowd.
My fellow Treepers….when you hear the words uttered by a doctor or nurse….”best practices”…run!
They have removed your individuality for collectivist results. Meaning, better bang for their (hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, doctors, insurance companies etc)–for their buck…. Based on statistics. We are individuals, not clumps of numbers.
Destroying trust in two untouchable systems…health care and religion…are bigger steps to power and control.
Mornin’ all!
Good morning all. I hope anyone on here that lives along the eastern shores of Lake Erie of Lake Ontario are ready. Old man winter is about to announce his arrival in a big way up that way and up into New England it appears.
Lake effect is some crazy stuff. Several winters ago this trucker had delivered Nestle’s waste product to a recycling outfit in East Palestine, OH (East of Canton very near the PA border).
After taking a 10 hour break at the recycle facility I was dispatched to pick up high temperature insulation at Unifrax corporation
I headed east and took I-79 N up to Erie, PA intending to run the I-90 NY throughway up to Buffalo. On I-79 a jumbotron south of Erie said I-90 was closed at Hamburg.
All of the SE portion of Buffalo was under a snow emergency. Drivers on the throughway ended up stranded 18 hours or more. Lackawanna was completely shut down. The snow and been dumped on them so quickly the plows just could not keep up and the traffic backed up and snow bound in both lanes made it impossible for the plows to get through. It was a total mess.
So at Erie I took I-86 east and then took US 219 North. My intention was to go as far East as necessary to catch an open road going North and then come into Tonawanda from the East or even North if necessary.
I had to get off of US 219 and take US 20 which went east and then north and then cut back west on NY 400 to catch I-90 to I-190. I still ran through areas that had gotten some deep snow but they had been plowed. The road signs on US 20 were unreadable due to the sticky snow covering the faces of the signs.
But when I backed into the dock at Unifrax there was not a flake of snow in the air or on the ground. Eight miles as the crow flies to the SW at Lackawanna they were still shut down and in a snow emergency. Five miles to the SSE there was snow three feet deep.
It took some time but I-90 westbound was open so I took it heading back to the Anderson, IN terminal. I backed into a parking spot at the Flying J truck stop off I-90 in Austinburg, OH that night to take my break because I didn’t have the hours to make it past the Cleavland area. I was bushed. It was snowing and promised to come down harder. I got Meat Loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans from under the glass at the truck stop. Their meat loaf is really pretty darn good!
I than pulled the curtains and went to sleep. About two hours later my phone rang. It was a blond ditz 2nd shift dispatcher from the Anderson terminal asking why I had stopped and if I had some problem. She hadn’t bothered to check my hours before calling and waking me up and obviously didn’t know a thing about the snow. That kind of thing drives drivers crazy. I patently explained to her to always check a drivers hours before calling them. I explained that if I were a dick I could by law, restart my 10 hour break because she had illegally interrupted it. Then I explained about the snow. I was too tired to get worked up too much and besides after a while driver builds up scar tissue and it doesn’t hurt so much when they get a lashing from inexperienced kids behind computers.
That young blond that woke me up then is now a trouble shooter for dispatch and is sent to new terminals to get their operations going or existing terminals that are having difficulties for whatever reason. She is very competent and we are good friends having worked together many times since those days when she was still wet behind the ears. But it always the drivers that take the brunt of it while they learn their trade. Just the nature of the beast.
In the 1990s I had a part time job at a local truck stop (small town of about 650 pop., but a very, very popular truck stop–packed all the time). We were in the middle of several weeks of severely sub-zero weather and one blizzard after the other. The truckers were having problems with winter fuel jelling up on them–simply couldn’t keep driving in that cold.
They were also having to deal with external maintenance of their tractor/trailer outfits–at 30below or more.
I worked the graveyard shift. I will never forget a driver standing there on the public payphone (cells were not yet everywhere, and not all trucks had wireless communication with their base)….he was exhausted. His face was nearly gray.
He was talking to some female dispatcher in GEORGIA who was berating him for not staying on schedule. She had no idea what he was talking about either regarding fuel-gel or life-threatening-within-20-minutes temps.
I remember that I didn’t try to talk with him when he got off the phone (the store was not large…everybody saw and knew everything that was going on), because he was near tears. And having a strange Minnesota woman show him compassion at 2:00 in the morning because his dispatch was ignorant and unkind would have just been too much to take.
In the middle of those kinds of nights, I would also occasionally run an instant coffee giveaway. Some trucker would set a large styrofoam cup on my little counter, I would glance at the clock and say, “You just hit the five minute window for the coffee giveaway!” Always got a smile and a thank you.
I have the seniority and the long time rep for getting the job done if it is at all possible that it is only the young and dumb that question me and I won’t take crap from any of them. I’ve hung up on the more thick headed and intractable before with the words “Call me back when you settle down and know what the hell your talking about”. Usually that results in a call from their supervisor that knows me and the question “What’s going on Rob”? The kid then gets educated by the supervisor once she/he knows the situation.
When the winds get howling in -20 to -30 below weather even fuel treatment can fail to keep the fuel from jelling. Ever notice some trucks with exposed tanks have diamond pleated upholstery on the leading surfaces of the tanks. I bet you all thought that was there strictly for looks now didn’t you?
The fact is there are winter trucks and then there are the rest. Winter trucks intended for extremely cold conditions have engine coolant lines running through the tanks to keep that fuel from getting too cold.
The fact is though that more often than not it is not the whole bulk of fuel in the tanks gelling. It is the water that is in the fuel that freezes and clogs the fuel line. I had that happen a couple years ago when it got down to -15 and came in that dark cold morning to head out. They had to put a salamander aimed at the fuel line to thaw it out before I could get it to start. They then had to warm up the brakes and beat on the drums because the shoes had frozen to the drums. It only cost me an hour and only that much because they had two other trucks to do the same to before they got to mine. You can be sure that truck never shut down on the run after I got it started until I got back to the terminal.
I do not remember the designation clearly, but it seems to me there was a “#3” reference for winter fuel..and whatever that option was would be freezing up as well. There were many nights in that particular winter where it would be 38-40 below (F) and there wasn’t much moving on the roads when that happened. Of course, that’s close to 30 years ago now.
#1 on the west coast 🇺🇸
Our fuel at the terminal has fuel additive in it during the winter that helps prevent jelling and in fact the major truck stop chains in the north all have fuel additive in them. When one fuels south where they don’t put in the additive and then is heading north into very cold weather it is wise to have a couple bottles of the additive in your tool box to put in yourself.
Thank you…I learned something about your big rigs! Again, thank you for all you do!
It ought to be a pre-requisite for all dispatchers to have to drive their personal vehicle without snow tires, on I-80, westbound in Iowa or Nebraska or Kansas, mid January, in a blizzard.
They must be made to start at the junction of I-35 and I-80, (well past the huge truck stop called Iowa 80 and outlet mall, prior to going towards Ames) and go west a few states.
They will change their tune me thinks…
Trust me…that IS a character builder!
Yep, when the gates to close off the exits are down your in the sheet! I’ve been blown across that I-80 in western Wyoming on ice. The only thing that saved me was a hard snow berm from plowed snow.
That is a nice story with a happy ending….
A childhood memory….As a kid growing up in NY, we used to go upstate on vacations. The I-90 thruway seems the same now as then…even the old signs advertising for “Howe Caverns” seem the same. I would not want to be on it in winter, though.
BE safe out there…!

The ancient church, BC, was in touch with heaven. They understood what we now put aside by sheer will.
I was thinking about how we actually see the character of persons and what they represent but are constantly taught to ignore such things in order to “coexist”. Think about that for a minute. The ancient people did not pay attention to the ego or false self and therefore it was of little value. Heaven is exactly that way.
Why lie or deceive when the inner part is what is observed? It’s pointless and we go forward with our lives to actually “coexist” not gratifying our selves.
In that instance, in truth, we do gravitate towards heaven, enlightenment, in falsity of putting aside the character of a person we encourage lies and deception. God does not look on your skin or your words and yet we are judged righteously, as we judge ourselves in such a manner we can become more than we are.
These subtle lies that are taught are from hell, they are evil, they are ”the little foxes that destroy the vine.”
one important issue that I see so gleamingly obvious is religion. It fixates on the outer not the character, a planned deception for those who have bad intentions. Most do not go to church to be deceived, their intentions are pure but, penance is not salvation. Only relationship is the path. A congregation of those with our lord is the church, that was a known belief now, not so much. Or you would not see any confusion on homosexuality, abortion, pedophilia, money, those issues would be on character and you can see would miserably fail.
I struggle with those ‘little foxes’ destructive as they are….they are still God’s children…religion is based on men…IMHO….faith is from Jesus…our Teacher, Savior, Redeemer…Son of God…
I don’t often wonder if people would, even a little, follow “The Big Ten”, The 10 Commandments, we would have peace in our country…somewhat?
Little foxes are not individuals they are the sin that we allow because we see it as “little” or not so important. People are rotten to the core, all of us. Only by a savior are we redeemed. To love another is just, regardless of the sin, but to ignore the sin or character is the problem, it encourages more. You see it in your life. Sin is to be embraced or maybe better wording engaged in our lives, taken apart and examined not hidden or ignored. Fear is a sin, to rid yourself of it you do not ignore it you examine it until it is harmless.
The problem with the Ten Commandments, is the fact religion doesn’t teach away from sin it underlines it and the Ten Commandments turn into the impossible commandments.
yes teach the Ten Commandments to everyone but show them that in love they are not broken and if your heart is with God it is in love.
”Don’t smoke” to a smoker is like a unrealistic command, as sin to a sinner. But, in love they see a better way. Relationship is the only way.

For the last 30 days I and 29 other drivers at the company have been using a new fuel card. I just got the e-mail confirming they are going to change over. That is great!
We had been using the Comdata card. It required the driver to enter the following information.
Truck number
Trailer number
milage
last 6 of their DLN.
This new ELS card just requires:
Trailer number
last 6 of the DLN.
Easier and faster and I suspect cheaper for the company for the service.
Comdata was the pioneer in satellite tracking, remote pay for lumpers, and many other things. But they have become overpriced.
BTW when the US Army decided to track their tactical vehicles and APCs and Tanks so that a unit commander knows where each unit is remotely, and can more effectively maneuver them, they went to ComData and Schneider National to learn how to do it!
