When politicians in Mexico and South America take financial payments from corporations and billionaires, we call it “corruption.” When politicians in the United States take financial payments from corporations and billionaires, we call it “lobbying.” The process is identical.
Billionaire Citadel Investment hedge fund CEO Ken Griffin (pictured above, center) is one of the top purchasers of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for a 2024 presidential bid. In a recent article for Politico, Mr. Griffin openly explains what he expects from his investment in DeSantis:
WASHINGTON DC – […] He has given nearly $60 million to federal Republican candidates and campaigns this election cycle. That puts Griffin behind just liberal billionaire George Soros, who’s given more than $128 million to Democrats, and Richard Uihlein, who aligns himself with far-right candidates and organizations, at about $62 million.
[…] While he’s supporting one of this cycle’s biggest culture warriors in DeSantis, Griffin said most hot-button issues — abortion rights, battles over sex education and LGBTQ rights — don’t define his interests. He wants to improve the diversity of the GOP and blunt the vein of populism that has complicated the party’s relationship with the corporate world — two things he’s consulted with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy about. (read more)
(1) Stop the populist movement and (2) get the republican party back in alignment with the multinational “corporate world.”
Pretty blunt, but hey, he’s rich enough to be honest. So, there you have it…. This is what Griffin expects Ron DeSantis to do for him. Any questions?
(Source)
Kenny’s tired of President Trump because he can’t buy and control him. Another turd who wants to “diversify” the Republican party and thinks he has the right to blunt the populism of the party.
Little Ronnie will be expected to toe Kenny’s line and do his bidding. Not at all MAGA or America First.
I’m going to take a break from Sundance. I like both Trump and Desantis and think they are both important for the future of our country. However, the Desantis badmouthing has morphed into almost a hatred. I don’t know where it is coming from but I suspect that the anti Desantis crowd doesn’t have our country or its future as their best interest. Will check back in a few months.
Bob , you clearly aren’t able to see the obvious , all the evidence is right in front of your face . DeSantis has proven by his own words and deed’s that he is 100% pro establishment . That’s something that freedom lovers cannot support.
I’m with Herb on this!
IMO De Santis is too good to be true!
Which to me is a Red Flag!
100%…all light weight attacks on him. All things desantis has done dont help main street. ALl the magical thinking in the world wont help. What does DeSantis know about how the world really works or hard economic truths?
Desantis is another traitor pence and barr…Ill bet the farmon it
The fact that DeSantis is getting almost none of the turbulence and resistance that PDJT is getting on a daily basis, is a flashing warning sign.
They will get around to DeSantis in due time.
He will never be attacked like Trump has been. THEY are not afraid of him like they are of Trump.
And that’s because DeSantis would do their bidding, unlike Trump. DeSantis seems to be cozying up to the establishment.
Well said patriot
That comment there along that the Pub est.back him is a big klaxon sounding off.
IMHO it’s not what’s seen/said out loud but merely the opposite is true.
Jus sayn
Exactly! I’m just a Grandmother who relies on my gut instincts (God given discernment) and was never comfortable with him. Too Squeaky clean > Sanctimonious. Yes too good to be True. Knew he could be * bought. I’m not surprised. He had that Jeff Sessions feel to me. I think President Trump will pick Kari Lake for his running mate. She is what Trump needs to Articulate! She’s a powerhouse just like Trump.
My Dream Ticket for President……Trump/Lake – Heaven Sent!
St. Kari of the Lake? The one who was pro abortion, anti gun, pro drag queen, anti closed border, and a Buddhist until 2021 when she decided she could snooker people into believing her ultra lib self a true conservative Christian? LOL. You guys are so gullible.
https://dnyuz.com/2022/11/05/in-arizona-kari-lake-worked-in-local-tv-news-now-she-calls-reporters-monsters/
I too am with Herb on this! We want Crist to win — at all costs. Charlie Crist is the only candidate who knows how to win! As a Republican before 2012, our man Crist was winning. But when he lost to “Little Marco Rubio”, he knew just what to do — and he immediately changed his “beliefs” to the Independent party. Then, when people forgot that he had sworn to be a Republican only a few years earlier, he up and Changed again to the Democrat party. Me and Herb support Crist, whichever party he’s running under at the time (uhhh, that’s a secret, so don’t pass that on to anyone). Real winners don’t stick with losers. And Republicans are losers — that is what me and Herb are trying to show you about DeSantis.
Vote for Cristuh, I mean Don’t Vote for DeSantis! DeSantis is not a real Republican, and neither is Crist. But at least Crist has the political savvy to change his label to ‘D’ – even though he’s not really a ‘D’. Ifour manDeSantis’ opponent can honestly be dishonest, so can DeSantis. But DeSantis is dishonestly being dishonest about his honesty. How can you trust a man like that? Join with me and Herb. Show how Republican you are by voting AGAINST the Republican labelled candidate. Nothing bad will happen — promise!Do people change? Wasn’t Trump pro-choice before becoming arguably the greatest champion to overturn Roe?
Yes, people change. Sometimes for the better because of patriotism, but sometimes for the worse because of lust for power and riches. Has DeSantis changed? Keep watching before you make up your mind.
Keep looking at the evidence and keep an open mind. Because he was pro-choice, I didn’t vote for Trump in 2016. However, I would have crawled through burning broken glass to vote for him in 2020 and I’m ready to do the same in 2024.
You missed it. ZZZZING! Sarcasm at its best.
Kinda like St Kari of the Lake.
He’s Jeb Bush 2.0. He has merely borrowed some Trump scent, so the new base will think he’s something new.
Just like synthetic deer urine, the Bucks know the difference.
The tea party showed me exactly what the RNC establishment is capable of. I trust none of them.
Some people would rather run away than face the truth.
At around 27 min in link below, R Kennedy explains that Trump had asked RFK to chair vaccine safety committee, which he agree to do. Afterward, Trump accepted a million $$ from Pfizer and axed Kennedy’s position, instead hiring 2 of Pfizer hand picked heads of health services.
Did or do you have a problem w that? Is that doing bidding of “establishment”?

I posted this exact same thing yesterday.
Apparently Sundance and some treepers have blinders on regarding DJT’s roles with BIG PHARMA, OWS, and the death cloth jabs!
This constant DJT/DeSantis back and forth is nauseating.
And it’s distracting people from the real issues—-the Great Reset, WEF, WHO, and the largest transfer of wealth in the history of mankind!
Everyone with savings has lost at least 50% because of inflation!
I do hope folks on this site OWN their home, car(s), have ZERO debt, and have stocked up on essentials!!!
You act like we are too dumb to think about more than one thing.
You’re insulting us.
The enemy of the good is perfect.
DJT made great personal sacrifice, created a remarkable economy, but made some fatal errors in decisions when it came to the threat of the “Biomedical security sate” as Aaron Kheriaty points out in his new book, The New Abnormal.
Excerpt: In 1968, while an estimated one to four million people died in the H3N2 influenza pandemic, businesses and schools stayed open and large events were never cancelled. Until 2020 we had not previously locked down entire populations, because that strategy does not work. In 2020 we had zero empirical evidence that lockdowns would save lives, only flawed mathematical models whose predications were not just slightly off, but wildly exaggerated by orders of magnitude. ~
https://brownstone.org/articles/the-confinement-of-the-healthy/
Hopefully DJT learned a lot from his first term, and I would vote for him again in a heartbeat since he’s far preferable to any Dimocrat as well as a large number of R’s. But DeSantis did an outstanding job protecting individual rights of citizens of his state, has not expressed interest in running for POTUS in 2024, and for DJT to attack him days before an election we desperately need DeSantis to win was just an absurdly dumb thing to do.
fake news
Bob sees it all Very Clearly. I promise you.
Lest we forget, Mit Romney was once a Republican star. Be very, very careful in placing too much hope in ANY politician.
Trust NO ONE!!
splitter candidate… plain and simple.
Exit…stage left……!
I just read Bobbi Nye’s post and, OMG, that cartoon is absolutely PERFECT!
What part of de Santis being owned by an anti-Trump, anti-populist, billionaire globalist do you think’s gonna change in a few months.?
Great question. 81 million thumbs up.
Bobbi, if you “don’t know where it’s coming from” then that means you haven’t been reading the numerous articles Sundance has been posting, and the many many comments from people reading those articles and doing their own research.
Don’t be willfully ignorant. Do your research. Look through this forum for the articles about DeSantis and read them and learn. DeSantis isn’t MAGA, he’s a puppet.
The biggest tell…DeSantis’s silence on Mar-a-Lago. Or that it even happened.
Exactly, I waited and waited all day for his response and defense of PTrump. Crickets.
Those who don’t truly grasp that UNIPARTY means ONE party, with two faces.
ONE agenda, the WEF Global Conmunist agenda, which is just the latest iteration of Conmunism, is what both wings of the Uniparty are pursueing.
RINO=Democrat
Democrat=Conmunist
RINO=Conmunist
Mitch, McCarthy, Mitt, Liz, Ronna and yes, RDS are ALL CONMUNISTS, as are Nanzi, Chuck, Shifty Shiff, etc.
Conmunism uses deception and manipulation to seperate the populace from each other (divide and conquer) and from liberty and wealth.
This is WHY “voting for the RINO, cause they are ‘not as bad as the Dem’,..” is a BIG mistake.
Either NAGA or RINO.
Period.
We have put up with too much censure, intolerance, and vilification to waffle on this.
Spare me any future Ryan, Romney, Bush neocon cabal members.
“NAGA” is extra special MAGA!
It’s been a long day!
I am also waiting for the reason as to why DeSantis is not at P Trumps rally in Florida.
My wife pointed out the same.
DeSantis has been a good governor. Let him remain so.
Well, NOW he has taken Ken Griffin’s money for specific services, so things are going to change regardless of Trump, where DS is concerned.
OR any of the Earlier ones, Either – he was bust at the PAC rallies. Like he already was when the Mar-A-Lago warrant was served. Clean out of STATE up in the NORTH EAST USA.
That is gratitude for ya!
Why would he go and be humiliated like JD Vance was at the Trump Rally? “He needs me so much he’s kissing my azz.” That’s really cool, bruh. Nobody needs anybody that bad. I feed very sorry for JD. He seems a good man, a better overall MAN than Trump.
https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/19/politics/donald-trump-jd-vance-ohio-rally
It’s true. JD Vance would not be winning if the Trump family, including Don Jr had not gone to bat for him.
JD knows it.
I see “Mom” in your handle.
Would you be fine with your male loved ones being publicly humiliated on the world stage for no reason? That is what this is. “See, I OWN this guy, like Griffin owns DeSantis. He’ll kiss my backside and do what I say. My arm is so far up his rear end as his puppet-master he will never speak a word I don’t tell him to.”
Or is ownership of politicians OK when it is PDJT, but not OK when it’s Griffin? Don’t we want free agent politicians who will listen to WE THE PEOPLE and not some rich fatcat?
“He literally spoke about it the same day it happened”

Governor candidate, FL
The raid of MAL is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves. Now the Regime is getting another 87k IRS agents to wield against its adversaries? Banana Republic.
(There have been several other instances —-on camera)
DeSantis would have a press conference if the wind blew, all he could muster for the MAL panty raid was a twit from his personal account..
The folks reading this blog won’t understand what you are saying, sir or ma’am ‘Conspiracy Reality’ when you put it like that. Just say what you mean in plain language. Here, I’ll help you:
Folks, what ‘Conspiracy Reality’ is saying is that;
And anyone thinking of bringing up the fact that, legally, there was not anything more that DeSantis could do other than denounce it like he did — don’t bother. We’ll just move the goal post again. Vote for Crist. He is the ONLY candidate running for FL Governor who meets our claim of “… didn’t do ANYTHING about the Mar-a-Lego raid”.
No. We’re not moving the goal post. A mealy mouthed tweet from his personal account isn’t even as good as the “strongly worded letter” that we get from Lindsey Graham and his ilk. And those strongly worded letters are NOTHING. So, the mild tweet from the personal account is less than nothing.
I didn’t realize you were a student of common-core math. It is going to take awhile for me to wrap my mind around your concept that something more than nothing is equal to less than nothing.
My old-school math taught me number lines like this:
less than nothing<——-nothing——>more than nothing
If I’m understanding your common-core math, yournumber line looks something like this:
less than nothing<——-nothing
more than nothing<——–|
Is that about right?
To quote your favorite governor “Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining.”
Did you think up that “conspiracy reality” term yourself?
Don’t pee on your leg and tell you it’s raining? What? If I’m ever peeing on someone, it is on their face, and in their mouth. So, I’m not sure what you are writing about.
“conspiracy reality” is the posted “name” of the commentor to whom I was responding. I didn’t make it up. Whomever that person is – is to afraid to post under their given name, just like FPCHmom, nwtex, nettahoney, and Joe Hepperle—- ooops! Scratch ‘Joe Hepperle’ from that list because that’s my actual name. Are you a good person?
Not true.
He tweeted that out hours later without even referencing Trump by name in response to criticism he was getting online.
He did not run to the cameras to oppose it.
Yes, that’s right.
WELL
RINO RON IS GOOD FOR FL
TRUMP IS GOOG FOR US & GLOBALLY
EAGER BEAVER ROOKIE RONNIE IS GETTING AHEAD OF HIS 6 YR GOV TERM OWED TO FLA FOR MY VOTE
AT 44 HE’LL BE 50 IN 2028 PERFECT
I THREW AWAY MY DESANTIMONIOUS SIGN TODAY
PUTTING UP MY TRUMP WON SIGN
WAIT YOUR TURN KID CAUSE TRUMPERS ARE W TRUMP PERIOD
M
I am very upset with Ron that I too have taken down my sign. I will still vote for him.
I would vote for him for governor — not president any time soon.
Somebody has gotten to him and swelled his head. I hear a lot of talk these days about how we “need more young people” to run things, but there’s something to be said for wisdom and experience, and that comes only through living. DeSantis has a long way to go, and a lot to learn before he’ll be at Trump’s level, and I’m not so sure he ever will be.
Sometimes it takes awhile to sink in, but after supporting Bush, McCain and Romney I am grateful to finally see DeSantis and who is supporting him, and why, before he gets his foot in the door. Don’t hate him. think he is great for Florida.
Trump is really the only candidate who will make a difference for the American people.
We are getting faster at recognizing them. We still have not defined clearly the agenda of the GOPe in an effective way to put an embarrassing spotlight on their true motives, but we are getting better.
Try following health care dollars. The regulations favoring insurance companies over quality and effective medical system operations. Intentionally marginalizing the effectiveness of physicians and nurses to use their years of training to provide the best care. Political decisionmaking has resulted in the waste and pillage of 4 Trillion U.S. taxpayer dollars into a collapsing healthcare system.
Gas prices, rural economies, ability to earn a living when you are willing to work, freedom from forced unwanted taxation without representation, representation corrupted by graft and corrupt “lobbying”.
who supports this? Not the groundswell ,grassroots MAGA/Trump 81 million strong crowd.
We must develop better, earlier litmus tests, communication. But we as a nation are getting smarter
Red-pilling is a process, really one pill, ….then another.
As for health care; when they KNEW it was ONLY a meaningless gesture, but R’s had both Houses, they passed legislation,…FIFTY TIMES (methinks thou protesteth a little TOO much) to R&R Obamacare.
But, knowing they have PDJT, with sharpie at the ready to sign, and again having R majority in both Houses, they TRY ONCE, and when McStain thumbs it down, they never approach it, again.
The R leadership FULLY WANTED OBAMACARE, thats the only reasonable conclusion.
THATS how the Uniparty works.
Thanks to TCH for putting important data out there to educate.
Exactly.
Bye Felecia.
Cute. But there’s no place for it in adult conversation.
Personally, I am tired of a dislike for a person to be called “hating”. That sounds like CNN doublespeak. I haven’t read anybody using the word “hate” to describe DeSantis. Most are calling him out on kissing up to the globalists who gave us the finger and called us domestic terrorists.
The reason I don’t like DeSantis is because he hitched his wagon to the globalists. I have making America great again in mind.
Exactly So. Amen!
personally, I’m tired of LABELS.
Are you comfortable with this one man having so much financial power over our electoral process? I knew nothing about this guy or his power and sway. Now I do. Thanks for the link, Sundance!
Yes, Bobbi is very comfortable with it.
Regarding your last sentence: I don’t think so. You “flounced”…now own it.
“Flounced” “theactrically” from the Treehouse.
Is “Bobbi Nye’ being banned?
Sounds like it.
SMH.
It’s a matter of perspective, facts and information distilled down and brought into focus isn’t ‘badmouthing’. DeSantis has indeed delivered for Floridians and outwardly gets a gold star but you can’t ignore the facts provided by Sundance. The anger is a derivative of being ‘tricked’/’fooled’/’mislead’ again and again by people who want our trust.
I’ve been salty for awhile and bite my tongue 99% of the time out of respect for this hollowed ground Sundance has created here. My military career involved rushing into chaotic situations, ignoring the ignorant, worriers, literal noise all while discerning the actual problem and delivering the fix. I have always been annoyed that so many can’t see what I see, that’s why I have so much respect for Sundance, he doesn’t just see it, he can articulate it.
Stop focusing on individuals. It is about them killing populism and nationalism. Populism is Kryptonite to Amoebas like Griffin.
It’s data. It’s facts. It’s reality. It’s how you need to live your life: based on reality.
You want to check out on reality for a few months?
go over to gwp……theres about a million trolls trying to turn trump and desantis backers against one another……this is turning into a major attack on maga…and maga people appear to be falling for it…..
that said,i think sundance is worried about all these corporate mega-donors…..and maga hating orgs like “the republican governor
s association"(doug ducey chairman) investing heavily in de santis at the expense of needy maga candidates like doug mastriano and kari lake.......they obviously need the help much more than desantis...
what sundance is asking is "what do these anti-maga donors think theyre buying”?…it needs to be looked into further…
Fortunately, MAGA candidates have a policy advantage that overcomes a 10:1 spending advantage, pretty consistently.
Given our candidates are also overcoming 100 percent negative media coverage, and opposing RINO (primary) and Dem (General) candidates are refusing to debate them (and the few that do, get their *ss kicked) the STRENGTH of our movement is unprecedented in American political history.
Just as DJT, with no political campaign experience winning POTUS his “first time at bat” if you stand back and look at what MAGA is accomplishing this mid-term, it is truly astonishing.
GWP banned me for defending Trump.
K.
See ya later, Ron.
I like De Santis. But I am concerned about who comes with him. Don’t want to return the GOP to the people MAGA pushed to the sidelines. Paul Ryan, Jeb Bush – they are the same as Liz Cheney. Trump’s America First movement deserves a chance. And these people sabotaged Trump’s first term, subverting the voters. De Santis has choices to make.
The DeSantis base is in FL, he doesnt have the personality to grow it nationwide, esp. when his record will be put under the hot lamp. Lets smoke out all the DeSantis and GOPe grifters and banish them from the AF party for ever.
Exactly.
Either you are MAGA or you are with the Bush family and the people who have owned them since #41 sold our manufacturing base out to China. or the Romney/Ryan/McConnell wing which is much the same as the Bush wing. There is no either/or.
So true!
Bobbi is trying a different tactic: trying to get people to turn on Sundance and the Treehouse. Good luck with that 🙄.
“Griffin… has been donating to political campaigns for more than 20 years, giving $5,000 and $10,000 increments in those early days to Republicans and Democrats alike when he was living in Chicago. Mayors Richard M. Daley and Rahm Emanuel, both Democrats, were beneficiaries. And in 2008, he raised money for both presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama.”
“He wants to improve the diversity of the GOP and blunt the vein of populism that has complicated the party’s relationship with the corporate world — two things he’s consulted with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy about.”
He ignores all of the Hispanic and black GOP candidates. Griffin’s not honest
In truth, Griffin is a business guy who is investing in a product to make a profit for himself. De Santis is letting himself be sold, and boy, does he want to believe he is worth the price, but neither man is acting out of love for country.
Trump cannot be bought and the comparison to DeSantis, who is being packaged for sale is obvious. DeSantis could be the real deal, but the swamp is selling him on their “insider route”. The voters are on to it and Ron better step back soon….
Ron DeSanctimonious is hard to overcome. A warning shot over the bow.
Linda’s speaks truth.
We do not need anymore political whores.
Bob, I like them both too but if DeSantis decides to run after we Floridians have re-elected to govern our state I will not support him if he ever becomes the Republican candidate for President in 2024. I do not think he could beat President Trump in a primary but I have a bad feeling that he knows something we do not know.
You have the right to support a RINO.
We patriots who don’t want to support the RINOs, swamp, anti-popularists candidates, pro-globalism supporters will not miss you and the RINO lies that we no longer will put up with.
Go “pretend” that DeSantimonious isn’t what is right before your face.
I would vote for him for Gov. I won’t vote for him for Prez. And, most of us who have crossed over the RINO rubicon to the other side don’t give a flip whether you left-behind RINO supporters like it or not. RINOs are dinosaurs about to become extinct. Soon, you’ll have no one to support.
Bye bye.
Go join the deSantis group. You’ll find it more to your liking.
We’re America First here.
“However, the Desantis badmouthing has morphed into almost a hatred”
Piffle.
I don’t hate Ron, but I will simply never vote for anyone owned by the same cabal that tried( and is still trying) to destroy Donald Trump. I have developed a deep distrust of DeSantis, and skirting any attempt to answer some serious questions re his sponsors, and/or questionable actions does not bode well for your candidate.
Ron isn’t America First, it’s that simple.
If you have difficulty hearing uncomfortable facts, you may be a democrat.
I disagree. Many people here have given Ron kudos as governor. That doesn’t mean we need to worship at his altar and anoint him king of the land. He hasn’t earned it IMO.
So you accuse people concerned with DeSantis being handled by the GOP swamp of not loving our country and then run away for an extended time.
Sundance has explained in great detail where the concern with DeSantis comes from, but you do not really want to acknowledge it.
You are getting too emotional and you seem to believe someone is going to come save you. Aren’t you happy that someone has followed the money and laid those facts out for you? I for one am thrilled to find someone that has laid out this info and not just put a bunch “alt-media” clickbait on a page with no investigation or analysis put into it.
2 things can be going on at the same time. He can be strong about masks and personal freedom while also being paid and groomed to be the next Jeb Bush 2.0. If they do go up against each other I’d appreciate much more this investigation and analysis versus being gas lit or not know what Sundance is writing. I certainly haven’t seen it anywhere else.
Not if the person is a divisive troll.
Did you read the article? You honestly believe who clearly states his intention to stop everything you believe in has the country or its future as his “best interest?
“It’s much easier to fool people than it is to convince them they’re being fooled.”
Science Guy’s brother?
Or Sister? I personally don’t know many Males named “Bobbi” With an “i” instead of a “Y”.
You join many who have “taken a break” from the truth, & factual reporting.
Don’t like the message & what can be verified, so it must be “hatred, badmouthing, etc.
Don’t rush back, we’ll still be dealing in the truth here.
The gymnastic linguistics would be entertaining were a nation’s survival not at stake.
When a man takes serious money from a “Ken Griffin” who bluntly states HIS requirements this way – right out there openly on the table for the World to see…..
And someone says, That guy’s CANDIDATE of Choice is FOR ME, and walks way from the Discussion, well – That settles THAT.
You know every single thing you need to know about THAT. Said Ed McMahon to Johnny Carson!
Somebody like Griffin is pure globalist. As are the rest of his major backers. Sorry it burst your bubble.
ok, you won’t be missed. Remember the goal isn’t to elect republicans. It is to elect republicans that will implement policies that we want. not what they want.
You are falling for the uniparty equivalent of good cop/bad cop. Yes, the Dems are horrible in every way. However, globalist Republicans being better than Dems by merely being horrible in some ways (instead of every way) is no longer good enough because the ways globalist Republicans are horrible will lead to our destruction just as surely as the Dems.
The enemy is internationalism, whether international communism or international crony cartel corporatism (globalism). Power that doesn’t remain local gets abused. I’d rather see the Dems finish wrecking everything in the hope that conditions will allow us a chance to break away and establish a 2nd American Republic than hand power back to the globalists. DeSantis made his choice by accepting $200 million from these people: a vote for DeSantis at the national level is a vote to make future generations of Americans enserfed debt slaves to international banksters. What remains of America WILL become a totalitarian hell hole if these evil people continue to rule.
You do that however if you look at the verified DeSantis big supporters you may understand why the negative comments about him.
I would recommend attending a remedial reading class. Just saying.
Did you miss what DeSantis bosses are saying? Because many of us haven’t. They expect him to choke MAGA for good, to align the Republicans with Wall Street interests and away from the middle class and working class…and forget about peasants’ petty worries like their kids being indoctrinated into transexualism.
Instead of taking your ball back and going home, why not join in the conversation and advise why you disagree? While perhaps a 2028 DeSantis run for president would be something to ponder, a 2024 presidential run has a specific purpose….to stop the MAGA movement. Surely you can see this, by taking a look at DeSantis big donors. Do you think that they align with a populist movement? Do you think that, for example, Paul Ryan has ‘our country or its future as their best interest’?? Perhaps it’s time to give your opinion on this some deeper thought??
His post was thoughtful and civilized. The reaction to it was childish and reeked of “cancel culture.”
If we can’t express differing views without being canceled, what intellectual merit does this site have? I would argue it would be about as meritorious as Twitter and its toxic anti-conservative cancel culture.
People can have varying reactions to data. Their individual understanding may vary and produce a little more or less “act now!” or “wait and see.”
It seems to me that posters in general have degraded in their capacities to be civil. I count myself among them. I am a salty old goat when I get my dander up. Forgive me, all, if I have offended. Please understand that you offend me with your smart-ass one line zingers in place of discourse, as well.
Frankly, I thought that my post was thoughtful and civilized, as well. My intent was that, instead of shutting off discourse, the original poster should discuss his opinion. I didn’t think my response was ‘childish’???
Apologies if I have offended. Many in response to the OP have been school-yard level childish. What I was indicating was that you may ask that he be thoughtful and engage, but nobody is going to let him do that here. Das ist verboten!
No offense taken at all. Just saying that I thought my response was reasonable. Sadly, comment sections in many websites do have the tendency to descend away from civil responses. That’s one of the ‘perks’ of free speech….lol!!
Nobody cancelled Bobbie Nye, he expressed disgust with TCTH editorial position on DeSantis and flamboyantly annouced his departure.
In other words, HE cancelled himself. TCTH is a tough crowd, not the usual low info folk.
You, obviously, have not been listening to the facts. Unfortunately, your unwillingness to accept the truth is why this country is in danger of losing its freedoms today. Every person out there who plants a Democratic yard sign, or cheats on behalf of Biden and company, or pulls a Democratic lever in the ballot box refuses to accept very clear basic facts. And anyone who can’t see that the Republican Party is no more our friend than the left is willfully blind to the realities of our mortal dilemma. So … please take your break. Better yet, move to Canada.
Oh….he knows the truth too well. His comment could have been a way to measure the temperature.
Me, as well.
I’m NOT anti-RDS.
HE SHOWED THE USA how to manage COVID, his state against Disney and did MUCH heavy-lifting. MUCH more than Abbott in Tx or any other Red State Gov.
Sorry, just grown weary and tired of Trump’s ego, arrogance, narcissism and his family, particularly Jared and Ivanaka, both flaming libs PRE WH and while there. TRUMP is horrible surrounding himself with personnel, including his own family.
8 adults in my family. ONLY 1 is strong Trump. The remaining have grown tired of him. THey don’t NEED OR WANT to hear from him EVERYDAY on many things that HAVE NO CONCERN for him. He can’t resist. All anyone has to do, is tee him up with a comment and he cannot help himself.
So to you, globalism is okay because you and your entire family don’t like Trumps personality.
It’s the policy. It’s not the person. Trump is all about policy and results. We don’t care if he uses profanity. We don’t care if he likes good looking women. We don’t care if he’s self absorbed. We care about the direction he sets for our nation. It’s all about the policy. What do you people not get?
It’s not Anti Desantis…it’s Anti Establishment- AntiGlobalism. Trump wants to give the Power back to the American People…NOT the Corporations!
Desantis is establishment all the way, I have no interest in him, smoke and mirrors…..so he did some stuff the right way, big whoop, does not qualify him for POTUS, and besides Trump owns the party, the GOP is dead in the water, I mean the Lincoln Project tried bringing it back, won’t work. I think it’s pathetic that these establishment whores sell their souls to the devil constantly! And Ron Desantis is not too smart if you ask me, they’ll stab him in the back like they do the AMERICAN PEOPLE, what makes you think these people suddenly change to good people?
I guess it’s impossible to listen to your constituents, represent their views, and also take campaign donations. When President Trump takes campaign donations does that put him in that donors pocket, Does that donor speak for him?
Are my questions valid? Am I now the enemy?
Adios, ROLCon
I’ve considered a hiatus as well, for the same reasons. But good patriots are providing excellent context, and I can’t ignore it, no matter the discomfort. I don’t want to regret my 2024 vote.
If you always do
What you’ve always done
You will always get
What you’ve always gotten
Einstein defined it as doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
It is unfortunate that people will not open their eyes enough to realize that the two party system we have, morphed into something few people understand. The D party of JFK morphed into the party of freaks and geeks, focused on sexual and racial biases, while the R party which primarily benefitted the wealthy and corporate interests began morphing into the party of the worker. I worked my entire life never being unemployed and wouldn’t vote for ANY candidate with wealthy donors like DeSantis has, because he will represent them. I was interested in DeSantis until he flipped. Evidently you didn’t catch the HE FLIPPED part.
Money money money. But there is nothing as powerful as a made up mind.
Donald Trump: “The people of Florida are going to reelect the wonderful, the great friend of mine, Marco Rubio to the United States Senate. And you’re going to reelect Ron DeSantis as governor of your state.”
Friends again?
Or damning by faint praise?
Rubio was a part of the steal and is as pro establishment as pro establishment gets . Trump makes you really shake your head sometimes .
Maybe as Rubio is not running for Prez in 2024 and DeSantis is.
Seriously. Why do people here conflate endorsing an incumbent of their own party with allowing yourself to be gutted by a back-stabbing ambitious upstart?
Or maybe you haven’t been privvy to their conversations?
Gotta vote for the Republican.
Just REMEMBER the Difference between a Republican and a RINO.
BUT, Don’t TELL ME you voted “Republican” when you voted for people that ALWAYS vote as Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell tell them to.
When someone tells ME they voted Republican, I want to know it is for someone who Supports the US Constitution, And NOT someone who follows Marching Orders for Globalist PAC Money.
THAT’S all I’M sayin’.
Jis’ don’t tell me some Open Borders, ANTI 2nd Amendment and SELF DEFENSE votin’ Fool who favors anything Swamp DC says is what you mean by sayin’ you “voted for America!”
President Trump said at the Miami rally to vote for Republicans and he did not qualify that suggestion. He also said to vote for Ron DeSantis. So now, YOU, are a bigger patriot than President Trump?
Should we listen to President Trump … or you?
Someone’s gonna win the general whether you vote R or not. If your only choice in the general is D or R, vote Republican, even if it’s a RINO. Maybe focus your purity tests where it matters, the PRIMARIES.
I wanted Barnette in PA but Trump and the establishment got behind Oz. If I were in PA, I would vote for Oz.
I suppose he’s trying to help get the country out of Democrat control. I won’t hold my breath. I remember the last time Republicans held majorities in Senate and House. Thank you Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.
DeSantis for governor. Yes
President DeSantis. No
Remember the last shellacking obama received? I do and nothing changed for the good.
However hope springs eternal or at least until I’m dead.
Amen and amen.
Praising today never precludes a change in approach tomorrow.
45 plays them. Makes them make an appearance at a rally for them and the whole time they hates him. 45 knows it. He plays them. Gets in their heads. Makes them ‘beholding’. Yah, he plays them.
At the same time he’s playing them, he’s using him for his own good. Making it look like Rubio supports him before the FL Latino community. 45 is the winner in this. He’s winning votes that Rubio already has in the Latino community.
Jeff Sessions Comes to mind……?
It’s called choosing your battles.
Nobody can fight everyone all the time, and win the war.
What benefit would picking a fight with Rubio have, right now?
People are mad when he RETORTS BACK – and they are mad when he is POLITE.
Nothing he does pleases some folks.
Yet no matter what you are told about those who pop off at or behind the Back of Trump, I just don’t hear any Commentary on those who pop off about HIM. Apparently, in spite of defending them all against Trump, they just really do NOT CARE WHAT these other folks act like TOWARDS HIM.
He called Marco a friend, and not DeSantis. Look, I’m sure he would like nothing better than for Ron DeSantis to be re-elected governor and continue doing the great job that he’s been doing in the state that he lives in
He SUPPORTED DeSantis in the Rally.
DeSantis has NOT been supporting TRUMP in the PAC RALLIES he has been attending with PAUL RYAN INSTEAD of the MAGA Rallies.
Might as well call the the “please clap” rallies.
We also have to remember that President Trump lives in Florida, and does a lot of business in Florida, esp with Mar A Lago. So it pays, even just for appearances, to try and stay on the right side of those officials and candidates from his state who he may need to call upon in the future for business matters. Just like when he lived in NYC, with Trump Towers and his other businesses there — and Hillary and Schumer were his senators, who he had a cordial relationship with at the time.
He is not being derogatory and he isn’t insulting anyone,
THAT much is NOT being heard about DeSantis from his RINO friends who are discussing Trump with him.
No. QUITE the Contrary!
Says Another Pundit – “It’s called a shot across the bow and it’s in response to what Trump has been hearing is going on behind his back, which more than a half of dozen donors and scores of sitting congressman have told me is true.“
another contenduh?
Please stop.
Sorry, but your guy isn’t what he initially appeared to be.
Who is my guy?
If you don’t know…
You think it doesn’t SHOW???
Who do you want to stop? Sundance or DeSantis?
Promoting division because all the leftist propaganda organs are doing so does NOT help. RDS is NOT running against DJT, no matter how much the Party wishes it to be so. . . . DeSantis is not stupid, and if he runs it will be in 2028. He’s not going to destroy his own political career in a suicidal mission unless he’s been promised some very lucrative reward, such as ownership of Microsoft lol.
Can we save this post for posterity, please?
Smiling.
OH PLEASE!!! AMEN!
It will be so Classic.!
I LOVE when they pull these little tidbits out of the TIME CAPSULES.
You don’t want to see unflattering info about DeSantis. Worse, you want it to be suppressed.
The truth, even if it’s unpleasant, should never be suppressed.
DeSantis is not MAGA.
The time to let DeSantis’ handlers know that we’re onto them is now, before they push him into a 2024 run.
Amen.
DeSantis is the one taking globalist money, not Trump. The facts are as clear as the nose on your face.
WHO is it that IS Promoting DIVISION?
JUST HOW FAR does a CONSTITUTIONALIST have to BEND TO LEFT,
to keep a RINO from causing DIVISION?????
THAT THE RINO STARTED!!!??????
MAYBE you don’t want to REMEMBER where DeSantis WAS AT when he WAS NOT warning TRUMP about the ILLEGAL Mar-A-LAGO Raid?????
The Parties HE was going to ALREADY BACK THEN for quite a while that HE was NOT inviting TRUMP to go to WITH HIM???
Funny how some folks only ever worry so about how ONE SIDE of the street is behaving – REGARDLESS of the FLOW in the OTHER DIRECTION.
Let’s get a legal perspective on Mar-A-Lago. If anyone warned anybody about the raid, they would be in federal custody for obstruction.
Except if they warned CNN.
You think that is what Ludwig was saying?
That wasn’t my impression.
Not at all.
Ludwig is shooting the messager.
Please clap. lol
I’m more and more disappointed in RDS.
He has never been taken off my watch list.
I read Sundance’s take on this. I read the whole article about Griffin that appeared in Politico.
Since when is anything Politico says, to be believed? I’d like to hear what Griffin and DeSantis have to say about this article or is that unreasonable?
Yeah, I don’t see the value in echoing leftist memes on here. What gives?
Did you not see the money chart above? Follow the money.
DeSantis’actions, and/or lack of, are proofs that the article is true.
Are you basing any of your judgements on DeSantis’ actions and/or lack ofs on Politico reporting?
It’s reasonable.
I’m curious as to what part of the Politico article was a lie? It pretty much goes along with what you can see from opensecrets.org of where a candidate gets his money and who donates to a candidate. That info has to be reported to FEC. No secrets there.
I trust Politico to exaggerate, lie, take things out of context\ and lie by omission. There are
many ways for Politico to doctor this article to the benefit of the left.
It seems many here have forgotten how poorly Politico has treated President Trump, but NOW they are to be believed?
Great point.
Why do you think Politico ran an article, on Nov 6, just days before the mid-terms, about Griffin backing DeSantis? Griffin lived in Illinois until very recently, why would it be newsworthy on a national web site that he’s donating to DeSantis’ campaign?
Think about it.
Why?
To sow division.
Think about it.
Why did you write that to me? It should be obvious I know the answer. lol
It is obvious you know. It really is.
You asked 2 questions and now you’re put off that someone would answer? If they were rhetorical questions, it wasn’t obvious to me, at least.
DeSantis fans? Can’t take the heat?
Especially since Griffin is now moving ALL his operations to MIAMI.
Politico is so corrupt, misleading and dishonest that I wouldn’t believe anything they had to say about, Hillary, Obama, Jeb!, President Trump or DeSantis.
Easy call … Politico ran this article to discourage Republican voters.
The article contains Griffin’s own words.
Sundance didn’t give us their “take” they gave us the facts. BIG difference.
Griffin & DeSantis are “showing” you everything you’re refusing to acknowledge. And what would you expect them to “say” about a factual article, that exposes them?
Geezzzzzzzz
I don’t know what they might say and that is my point.
WHAT are you saying? That it’s OK to not give them a chance to respond because they might defend themselves?
Then do a Whole “SEARCH” on Ken Griffin and Citadel Investment, find us a Tidbit on Ken Griffin that Varies so much as a HAIR.
Go Ahead.
Ken has actually been around Quite a While, and he has circled the Mulberry Bush enough times to be a Big boy now.
“About this Article …is That Unreasonable…”
WOW! Now THAT is a mighty deep Ocean.
There is nothing appealing to me about Ken Griffin.
I will not take whatever Politico has to say about anything at face value and no one who loves President Trump should either.
President Trump said to vote for Ron DeSantis only a few hours ago and if I were a Floridian I would do just that.
I follow President Trump’s lead. He is my chosen President. I will not be so presumptuous as to try and read President Trump’s mind. He’s not the shy type and has a reputation for brutal honesty. If he says Ron DeSantis is garbage … he’s garbage.
At this moment in time there is no reason to choose President Trump or Ron DeSantis over the other, and the people trying to coerce others here to do that, are weak minded.
I have big shoulders, do my homework and can think for myself.
It’s simple. Vote for Ron for Governor but oppose him with the quickness if he even hints that he’ll run for President. That’s all.
No chance the GOP will ever go back to Never Trump.
DeSantis better choose the MAGA side and endorse Trump or his political career will be as dead as Liz Cheney.
Correct. In other words, not going to happen. Unless he’s as brain-dead as Fetterman.
… and BRANDON!
DeSantis has NOT got the Stomach to do THAT. And He AIN’T going to return the CASH to Ken Griffin and the rest of that Company. NOR will he BACKTRACK on ALL he SAID to Ken Griffin and to Paul Ryan. and to Kevin McCarthy.
Governor DeSantis! To Carlyle Group to Rubenstein to Biden’s
Miami, FL — After Ron DeSantis banned 40% of proposed math textbooks in Florida, reports indicate that the only publisher that has been approved to offer K-5 math books in Florida schools is owned by the Carlyle Group, a hedge fund with deep ties to the Republican Governor of Virginia.
https://www.charlottedems.com/something-doesnt-add-up-about-governor-desantis-math-book-ban/
Who Is Glenn Youngkin, and How Did He Win the Virginia …
15 Nov 2021 … Youngkin had been a generous donor to establishment Republicans, including Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and former Speaker Paul Ryan …
http*://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/03/us/elections/glenn-youngkin.html
Better than MacCauliffe!
Youngkin has made multiple public comments about his desire to model Virginia’s response to the pandemic after Florida’s, despite the fact that the latter is currently facing one of the worst COVID-19 spikes in the country.
As recently as Aug. 6, as COVID-19 cases in Florida were surging, Youngkin told right-wing radio host John Fredericks that he supported DeSantis’ continued decision to ban mask wearing requirements in businesses and schools.
“Glenn, if you become governor, would you take a page out of the census book in Florida?” Fredericks asked, specifically referring to DeSantis’ threat to cut funding from schools that required face coverings.
https://vademocrats.org/news/new-reporting-highlights-glenn-youngkins-admiration-of-ron-desantis-covid-19-response/
If you still think COVID cases matter at THIS POINT, you’re a lost cause. Worry about the damn vaccines sickening millions and killing off people rather than the Coronavirus and useless cloth masks.
As a Virginian, I can tell you he is packaged well by the establishment but he’s a corporatist to the core. All the hot button social issues haven’t been dealt with here. The media just stopped talking about it. His abortion ban on stopped less than 5% of abortions that were already occurring under RvW but they took a victory lap still. The CRT stuff in Loudon County is still being fought by parents and the schools boards are still screwing them over and mocking them at meetings.
Oh we all know it in VA. The thing is we were looking at McAwful getting in and he was talking about mandating the death jab for anyone to work or enter a restaurant etc. in VA. He was looking to be worse than CA or NYC.
I was seriously looking at buying a shack over the border in TN so I could claim my kids were homeschooled there to protect them.
Brilliant mom!!!
I take my hat off to you.
Brilliant mom!!!
My hat is off to you.
I thought Ryan quit politics. But there he is like a frigging toilet paper stuck on the bottom of our shoe.
Except he now seems to be the piece stuck to the shoes of the PAC BILLIONAIRES – a Front Man for them you might say!
Never president, that’s who he is.
But a Carrier and Runner for the BIGGEST Money Men. Some folks enjoy the quieter life of the back roads of Real $$$ Power over being the Puppets for the Stage Work.
Pay to play, ala Chicago…where he recently left…he learned well….
Indeed. Political patronship is the Chicago way.
Citadel Founder and CEO Ken Griffin recently joined esteemed investor and Carlyle Group founder David Rubenstein for an hour-long “Peer to Peer Conversation.”
https://www.citadel.com/news/ken-griffin-david-rubenstein-peer-peer-conversation/
Could this be right?
Governor DeSantis! To Carlyle Group to Rubenstein to Biden’s
Citadel Founder and CEO KenGriffin and David Rubenstein to Governor DeSantis!
David Rubenstein has thanks Giving with Biden’s
I think the fear amongst the never Trumpers is that if DeSantis waits till 2028 then he’ll have to contend with Kari Lake. And she is a very polished and “nicer” PDJT in a skirt. That would be a problem for them.
Or PDJT’s VP.
Wolf in sheep’s clothes. Keep a very close eye on your St Kari of the Lake.
https://dnyuz.com/2022/11/05/in-arizona-kari-lake-worked-in-local-tv-news-now-she-calls-reporters-monsters/
Somehow I am not concerned about all the DeSantis hype. I pray he wins re-election. And if Trump decides to run that will settle the issue: Trump will be the candidate and that is the end of that story. Don’t care if Ron challenges the Don–the Don will win easily (like he did in 2016 and 2020) and the Democratic process would have worked. Ryan, Ronna et al will have the same power to change those facts they always had–none. Cheers!
Are you ready for the situation where Trump announces his candidacy for 2024 and then DeSantis announces his too? Prepare for it. If DeSantis’ handlers want him to run against Trump, he will be running against Trump.
Just curious here:
Where do you get all of your great political insight?
I must admit wondering the same as well…in a good way. I am enjoying them.
We questioned the legitimacy of 2020 and are now trying to imagine the who and how of future power plays to possibly be enacted to relieve them of their nemesis, PDJT.
Nothing is off their table and many know that after the Covid and clot shot fiasco…the Build Back Better, cost of food, gas, property taxes, inflation, shrinkflation, devalued dollar…
TPTB have made it clear that they hate Trump, with a deeply held passion. And they hate us.
If you have not figured it out yet, the political class/leaders, hate the average American…known as “We the People”. And will stop at nothing to “put us in our place”…
Critically thinking…
All it takes is EYES WIDE OPEN.
A Good Sound Jesus Talk should do it.
You get where you can smell those snakes.
Let him run and let him lose. No worries.
That might happen, but I’m loathe to repeat 2016 with stupid Trump-Cruz battle which culminated in electors threatening to note vote for Trump to be the nominee as they were supposed to. It caused a lot of extra unnecessary stress. Cruz should have endorsed Trump and told the electors to do their frigging job.
And now DeSantis should be told to back the f off if Trump is running. It’s DeSantis and his puppeteers who are sowing discord and divisiveness. They have zero respect for Trump even though it’s Trump who got DeSantis his current job.
I am sure that if he wins and stays there, you will sorely regret it before that Wringer Washer is through with Fla.
Let him win in Florida, the best thing for Florida at this time. He is no real challenge for Trump, so I worry not a bit.
DeSantis was all about Trump…until he got big money from Ken Griffin.
Ken Griffin gave millions and millions to Richard Irvin in the Illinois Republican primary race for Governor. When the people voted for the “Populist candidate”, Darren Bailey, Ken Griffey immediately moved his home and company to Florida.
Ken Griffen now owns Ron DeSantis 100%.
IOW, this guy doesn’t give a rat’s you-know-what that it’s what voters want. Kind of says it all about the RNC and Republican Party. This guy can spend all the money he wants on RINOs, I know this MAGA supporter will not vote for them. If it ain’t PDJT or the MAGA Queen, then I will be sitting it out in 2024.
Do you guys know as much about the “MAGA Queen” as you guys all THINK you do?
How DEEP was your research on this very cute little NEWBIE?
Inquiring Minds really want to know!
https://dnyuz.com/2022/11/05/in-arizona-kari-lake-worked-in-local-tv-news-now-she-calls-reporters-monsters/
Former colleagues say she was ultra lib until she resigned. She supported open borders, was anti-gun, pro-abortion, and supported drag queens even to hosting a “friend” drag performer to do a show in her home before her kids.
I get the distinct whiff of controlled opposition here. Remember the DemonRats supported “MAGA” candidates in the Rep primaries, thinking they could be easier to beat in the general.
Entertain the possibility that Ms. Lake was chosen by the DemonRats because they knew that the other candidate was too weak to win. If this is the case, the DemonRats win big in the AZ governor’s race.
At least she’s been loyal to Trump and has been vocal about election theft. That could change though, DeSantis embraced MAGA until the big $$$ started blowing his way.
The only way this works is if they convict President Trump of something before the election. He’s dealt with DeSantis types all his life and will have no trouble making him look as foolish as he did Ted Cruz. He’ll make him look overly eager and ambitious, which he is.
Is that COLO’s Joe O’Dea second from right? Haven’t read much about him other than he boasts he’ll “work with anyone.” I’d appreciate links to why he’s included here.
use the site search features to answer your questions. That’s what it is for.
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/10/24/governor-ron-desantis-endorses-senate-candidate-joe-odea-who-vows-to-campaign-against-donald-trump/
sundance, I am very glad to have y0u back in The Refuge. You have been missed sorely!!!
I’ve come to see DeSantis a little more clearly thanks to you Sundance. But it is disheartening. Sure hope Kari Lake is the real deal. She’s a fighter. We need someone like her. More people need to look a little more closely at DeSantis. I don’t know if he’s a bad egg or if he’s just having his feathers fluffed so much that he’s starting to think the hype about him is true. Everyone claims he never locked down Florida and I’ve known that was not true. It wasn’t until mid 2020 that he started becoming a bit more MAGA-ish. Before if you really look at his record he was quite milquetoast. Sad really.
Sorry, Sir, what? Wakulla County NEVER locked down.
I remember when Dinesh D’Souza was sent to prison over a four figure “campaign finance crime.” Soros, Griffin, Zuckerberg, and many others give multi millions with no consequences. How is it any different other than the billionaires have flocks of lawyers?
D’Souza did a straw donation which is quite illegal but people never get prosecuted for it. Basically getting around individual donation limits by promising to pay people back. Griffin, et. al. is usually about PAC money but Zuckerberg did much worse posing as a charitable foundation.
I appreciate your insightful and informed explanation of the DJT comment about DeSantis. I have often thought that a 2024 Trump/DeSantis ticket could lead to a 2028 DeSantis plus one ticket stretching out the success.
How could I be so wrong about RD. Everything he’s done in FL has seemed so Trumpesque and yet DS’s donors and support seem so clear as u lay it out. DS would be wise to align with DJT. Is DS being deceived? Please respond. Ty
RDS is an IVY league lawyer and was a JAG…therefore, “he knows things”…
His very soft and weak response about the MAL raid was a big hint at least for me.
His superbly perfect response to Hurricane Ian or shall we say “Lessons learned from Katrina”
…well played for the people of the Gulf side of Florida, and for those people, I am deeply glad….And a beautifully ambitious thing to add to an ‘executive resume’….
So it, for me, begs two questions…are they throwing this out there to see what the average response is? And…
Does every man have his price?
This is interesting:
I just happen to have RAV on and Wayne Allen Root’s show is on:
He just informed his listeners that Ron DeSantis has re-evaluated his possible presidential 2024 run. If PDJT declares his candidacy, “I will not be running for President in 2024.”….
Take it for what it’s worth.
Root noted that he was “relieved” that DeSantis released that statement, because he (Root) supports President Trump.
Take it for what it’s worth. ( I repeat myself!!! LOL!!).
I’m sure we will be hearing, seeing and reading more as times passes.
people still don’t get it that ‘elections’ aren’t going to fix a damn thing.
Making yourself irrelevant isn’t a cure for anything at all.
Griffin has just moved out of Chiraq to Florida. I think he’s buying a “nice dog” from DeSantis who has shown he’d take on Disney. DeSantis will never be Donald Trump, and Donald Trump may not be POTUS again, at least he won’t be in perpetuity. The problem for MAGA, and a takeover of the GOP, is going beyond Trump’s cult of personality and finding enthusiasm for another candidate that has the same policy objectives. But I think that if 2016 to present has showed us anything it’s that the most powerful executive in the world has limits on their power. If they aren’t respected, or don’t have the mental acuity and physical health to do the job, then they will be overridden by an unelected administrative state. So maybe, in the grand scheme, the presidency isn’t as important when you have a center right leaning Supreme Court and solid GOP legislatures. But then again, a GOP presidency made that SC and appointed some solid federal court judges.
I’m fairly certain, despite the GOPe support for DeSantis, that the unelected and highly ideological administrative state will not suffer him any differently than Trump while in office if that is ’24 or ’28. Therein lies the heart of the issue, while it could be anyone on the ballot for the General Election in ’24, Frank Luntz’s roommate Kevin McCarthy and Cocaine Mitch are still setting the legislative priorities, so I don’t expect anything substantive from the House and/or Senate to defenestrate the administrative state and secure elections, let alone combat illegal immigration, energy policy, or the deficit. Meaning that a GOP president in ’24 will probably be in objectively worse starting conditions than ’16.
Trump and DeSantis are big pieces on the board, but it’s going to be all the local, county, and state activists doing Sherman’s march through the institutions that makes the difference.
DeSantis sees the possibilities of now and can see 2024 in its reach due to poor democrat behavior. 2028 is a long long time. Who is to say what the landscape looks like? That’s what he’s looking at right now.
“It is easier to fool people than to convince them they’re being fooled.” We need to try to warn as many conservatives on other websites as we can. We know their play: the GOPe along with the Dems are going to try and bar Trump from running again in 2024, regardless of how unjust that may be. The GOPe will then offer Ted Cruz 2.0 (DeSantis) as the faux-Maga alternative to placate all the staunch Trump supporters who will be furious that Trump was prevented from running again and thereby keep them from leaving the GOP for good.
Be prepared to get banned. I did and I am still shocked.
I agree with most. I don’t at this point trust DeSantis. I think he’s just out for himself and he could have done something about the raid on Mar-A-Largo, but he didn’t. DeSantis is following in the footsteps of Trump, but not necessarily in a good way. President Trump is our Number 1 supporter and I plan on voting for him not DeSantis. We don’t know enough about DeSantis yet and he’s still wet behind the ears. I think that he’s trying to be Trump, but there’s only one of those. I just know that President Trump is what we need going forward to fix America and get us back on the right track. I think that we need another 4 years of Gov DeSantis so we can get a better grip on who he really is.
What could he have done about the search at MAL? Please, enlighten me.
As an attorney, I can tell you that had he given PDJT a “heads up,” RDS would be in prison right now for obstruction.
In fact, the feds may have set him up to see if he would be so stupid as to take that juicy bait.
Did or do you have a problem w that?
https://rumble.com/v1qm7r7-the-real-anthony-fauci-part-2.html?mref=6zof&mc=dgip3&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=DeplorableSocial&ep=2
And you need to post this multiple times in this same thread like a troll, why?
It has been made clear that Trump had an almost unwinnable situation. When he halted air traffic with China, Congress was muting him with the kangaroo impeachment hearings.
He never mandated and he did not outlaw hydroxychloroquine like CA and others did.
Stop revising history with this selective bilge. As a former leftie who learned to think again, this irritates me to see it here.
Lmao, I posted it 2 times bc it applied. As a former Dimocrat myself, I hate to think anyone here is incapable of listening to facts or independent thought.
Facts, sure, his inauguration committee accepted money from big pharma, you know, the account that was handled by the RNC….
Everybody knows the RNC takes money from anybody…..
I wouldn’t mind it if it was true, but the fact that you’re peddling fake news makes you a troll.
That’ll pop a lot of people’s eyes out of their sockets.
Yes, that does help. Economic nationalism is my number one issue.
I’ve been in this game long enough to know candidates often screw their donors. Gavin Newsom took it one further and screwed his campaign manager’s wife.
Sundance, this information definitely hit home. I’ll be watching very closely. Thanks.
I hate to ask this question, but if the Uniparty somehow manages to bar Trump from running in 2024, what other candidate might run who would be worth voting for? I mean, just in general, who would be a worthy successor to Trump to carry on the Maga movement?
kari lake
Nope.
https://dnyuz.com/2022/11/05/in-arizona-kari-lake-worked-in-local-tv-news-now-she-calls-reporters-monsters/
Wolf in sheep’s clothing.
First off know that several of the needed heroes are not even on our radar yet, but actively working to help.
We have absolutely no 2024 if 2023 tanks us…and the 2020 steal has to be addressed and acknowledged and reversed or they can do that forevermore. They are all still on the wrong side of jail cell walls/
FWIW
DOWNTOWN CHICAGO ( Chitown ) to MIAMI ( where i USED To have to Stay in a ” SECURE HOTEL ” because of the Cartel )…
Enough Said about MY CHOICES for ” base of Operations ” AND HIS !
Chiraq is a Sinaloa Cartel Hub, so whats the difference?
So, me thinking like a suburban Chicagoan….ol JB and Lighfoot did not try and keep him?
Why?
Did he play Florida and Chicago against each other and Florida won?
All the big political players in Chicago were already bought.
Used to–as in during the 1980s Cocaine Cowboy era? Snort.
All lI had to do was see Paul Ryan, and I was no longer interested in anything De Santas has to say. There is such a thing as having funds refused, I’ve seen it before,, and if he is taking funds from that BassFish, I’m done even bothering to read about ‘ALL HE HAS DONE’ for Florida.
Isn’t it illegal to boycott Israel in Florida? I’m not a huge fan of boycotting them, but I’m also not a huge fan of making it illegal. It seems Unconstitutional. I think it passed almost unanimously in Florida. Very strange.
WHY is $$$$ from ANYONE who cannot cast a vote for a particular candidate is allowed is ABSURD.
Yes money is voice, but why should an outsiders voice be heard greater than those who the candidate is SUPPOSED to represent?
That’s NOT representative government… it’s bullying with an unfair advantage.
We need to keep the politicians from having to sell their souls in order to run. Our VOTE is our VOICE and no one should be able to smother us with outside influence!
Keep the billionaires out of our governance…no matter which side they are supporting!
Beloved Treepers….the swamp rats now realize that we know, they know we know…
That RNC ‘absorbing’ the conservative movement of the average American, the God Fearing, God Loving, Constitutional Americans…During Obama’s “transformative” years…worked for a while. And they took our money…for a while.
They took our dollars as they “played” us. And still play us…
Then we wised up to the likes of Ms. Lindsey, Romney, Murkowski, Collins, and all the rest like Cheney–feel free to add a few names….
This dude makes Soros look good.
There are too many very rich and idle men who have nothing better to do than plot their own power play and advancement of wealth and ideology.
The idle mind is the devil’s workshop…
This debate is healthy and what Sundance is pointing out is vital to those who identify as MAGA. DeSantis is a good Governor, but how he will act and what his policies would be on a national level at present are unknown. I am sticking with Trump. I am conservative populist who votes Republican, not the other way around. I’ll keep an open mind, but right now judging by those supporting DeSantis with big money; I am suspicious. I have no tolerance for RINOs, the Bushes, Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney and several others who inhabit the swamp.
And sunlight is the best disinfectant. Knowing that Paul Ryan and the Bushes are supporting DeSantis was enough for me.
NO WAY should RDS be anywhere near running for president in 24…same ol’ playbook from the RINO’s. And don’t forget Traitors McConnell, McCarthy and Romney are all in…says it all doesn’t it?
What debate? All I see are trolling posters doing overkill orthodoxy enforcement and shutting down anyone who disagrees with the pronouncements from on high.
Who n died and made Ken Griffin King?
He made himself very rich & now is a kingmaker.
The people like DeSantis made him king by taking the money.
its about being owned by Wall Street that’s the problem. I think DeSantis is legit, or has been till now, it’s just that now he may have sold his soul to the devil. As an aside, whether the media is or is not going lightly on him now will certainly change if Trump decides not to run. Remember how they treated Bush, and he was in the uniparty, paid in full.

Florida governor Ron DeSantis spoke out in support of former president Donald Trump following the FBI search of his Palm Beach home.
Thank You for posting this video. This would have been exactly one week after the Mar-A-Lago raid. DeSantis did make a condemning statement the day after the raid but it was rightfully overshadowed by Kari Lake’s statement. Still, DeSantis did condemn the raid and when you read through all the posts on this thread, many here are still pushing the BS that Governor DeSantis did nothing.
“Thank You for posting this video”
And I thank you! 😉
~~~
“…when you read through all the posts on this thread…”
And will continue to do so regardless 🙄 😐
support conventionofstates dot com to change our plutocracy to governance by smartphone on a state by state basis. We want a truedemocracynow dot com where everyone is a voting member of a congress of the people. We don’t need no stinking ‘representatives’ of the wealthy class. All governments consisting of people selected by the wealthy and the press are just criminal syndicates. Mayor Daley and Gov. Huey Long gone national.
As a native Floridian and my son a newly minted Deputy Sheriff – I absolutely LOVE my Governor. HOWEVER. If DeSantis is aligning w/Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy and the irrelevant and corrupt GOP – it will be his undoing and a sad and unnecessary political suicide! If he’s smart – which we know he is – he’ll wait for Trumps’ second term and THEN run for President – where he would be sure to win! Trump must know something is up ……. I Pray DeSantis is not so stupid! #Trump2024 🇺🇲
The establishment republicans despise PDJT, and will do anything to keep him from returning to the WH. Including fracturing the party by putting up DeSantis in 2024. Hopefully DeSantis is wise enough not to fall prey to this gambit. The MAGA voters aren’t going to be fooled. The party of stupid will even throw the 2024 election to the democrats should Trump be the republican candidate. Circa 2020 all over again.
Citadel is evil. They (and other hedge funds) have bankrupted companies like Toys R Us, Circuit City, and Sears to name a few. Citadel is worse than most hedge funds because they are also a Market Maker, which gives them extra power. This dive into politics by Ken Griffin is Wall Street’s attempt to try to rid themselves of any oversight. Citadel, Susquehanna, and a few others are into the corruption up to their eyeballs. Truth is, they’re drowning and buying politicians is their last chance. Wall Street needs to own the White House.
Keep your eye on what Carl Icahn (Florida resident billionaire) is doing. I suspect he’s going after Ken Griffin. Any idea if he’s taken a stand on the Florida governor’s race?
The GOP money boys want their party back.
So let me get this straight. This dude is heaping slightly less than Soros level cash at DeSantis and what he expects DeSantis to do is blunt the Populist movement and bring the GOP back in alignment with globalism? I mean I prefer Trump for 2024 but if DeSantis really is just another establishment shill at the end of the day where both sides of the uniparty routinely screw over Americans what the hell are we supposed to do for 2028 and beyond? Could Lake be viable by then? She seems like the real deal
St Kari of the Lake appears to be a DemonRat in sheep’s clothing.
He’s not doing those Trump hand gestures anymore during press conferences. Remember when he was trying to imitate Trump?
Sundance, I believe you are missing the most powerful member of Team DeSantis.
OK. DeSatan to you. And now, I give you the comments section full of St Kari of the Lake lauds and pleas for intercession to save us from DeSatan.
Do you guys think that Kari is for real? Really? I mean, most of you I have “known” electronically for years. I can’t believe you’d fall for that act. I just can’t. It saddens and sickens me that good, decent people can’t see through her. The media guy quoted below says the quiet part out loud. She is a media personality steeped in what people want to hear. She gives them that and she gets their votes and support and money and power. Narcissistic, maybe? I dunno. My spidey senses are off the chart with her.
As always, though, you do you, boo.
FTA: “One longtime former co-worker in the television news business recalled that Kari Lake detested guns and practiced Buddhism. Another former local news anchor, Stephanie Angelo, who did not work with Ms. Lake but later became close friends with her, described Ms. Lake back then as “a free spirit” and “liberal to the core.”
“Her saying that abortion should be illegal — absolutely not,” Ms. Angelo said. “The Kari I knew would never have said that, and she wouldn’t have believed it either.”
. . . .
“Reece Peck, a media scholar and the author of “Fox Populism: Branding Conservatism as Working Class,” placed Ms. Lake in an influential class of conservatives that includes former President Ronald Reagan: telegenic Republicans who had no political experience or public ideological core but quickly rose in politics because they came from the media world.
Ms. Lake was particularly effective as a candidate, he said, because she emerged from “square and trusty local news.” He added: “She was a student of mass tastes” and could now “speak to audiences on that mass register.”
. . . .
“Richard Stevens, who performs as the popular drag queen Barbra Seville, said Ms. Lake used to invite him as a news contributor to comment on L.G.B.T.Q. issues. He recalled watching Ms. Lake argue in defense of undocumented immigrants on air. She often came to his drag shows, he said, and the two became close. He also performed as Ms. Seville at her house, including in front of her children, he said.
“Kari is not afraid of drag queens, Kari is not afraid of gay people,” Mr. Stevens said, calling Ms. Lake “an opportunist.” “I have had every reason to believe that she is as liberal as me.”
I voted against McCain in the primary, but he still advanced anyway. I voted against Romney in the primary, but he still advanced anyway. I voted against Trump in the primary (2016, Cruz, sorry), and – THANK GOD – he advanced to the general. May God continue to help us.
