Why does the FED have any authority to have inflation goals, other than to maintain and stabilize the value of the US currency?

Prior to the 16th Amendment, the Federal Government had VERY limited tax authority. The 16th Amendment ratified in 1913, provides only:

When the value of a dollar becomes less because of ‘inflation’, the resulting price of existing real and personal property increases because the ‘dollar’ is worth less, not because of “income”.
For example, the entire dollar value of the Dow Industrial Average was less than $900 in 1988. It is now about $30,000. A specific house built in early 1930’s can be recently “worth” over $700,000.

In other words, get a low ESG score, and a Corporation can’t get a loan for a neccesary expansion.
And, its being pushed hard by Blackrock and Vanguard, Who stand at the top of the Corporate financing pyramid, and basically own each other.
“Get woke, or GO broke!” is what they are trying to institute. We all watched as Corporations have jumped “on board” with all the woke nonsense, SOME of the “willingness” may have been COERCION, and ESG may have been the tool used to threaten and force compliance.
They ‘say’ it scores businesses and corporations, but it will eventually ‘trickle’ down and every ‘stakeholder’ (not shareholder—stakeholder is now the preferred label) will receive an ESG score. You want a loan to buy a car? Sorry, that vehicle you want is not green enough and your ESG score is not so hot, so no loan for you! Hubby and I recently dropped our bank (of over 40 years) and moved everything to a local Credit Union. CU’s have not (yet) bought into this ESG wokeness.

Bush’s people did not make up the phase Global Warming. It was made up by environmentalist trying to stay relevant after dramatic reductions in pollution levels in the late 70’s and early 80’s. due to the environmental regulations passed in the late 60’s and early 70’s. it was based on a discredited theory for the cause of ice ages. This theory had been discredited for over 60 years when Al Gore heard about it in his oceanography class in college. later he started pushing it as a means of attacking the oil industry, making money and gaining political support from environmental groups. The Bush administration simply were taken in by it, probably thinking it was simply the fad of the day and would soon pass. Universities picked up on it to get grant money from the Feds. There has been over 100 billion, with a B, spent on papers promoting Global Warming being caused by CO2 by the US government alone. The leadership of the oil and gas industry simply does not have the cajonnes to attack the theory and environmentalist backing the AGW theory to protect the best interest of their shareholders, employees, customers and modern society as a whole.
It is physically impossible for increased CO2 Levels to raise global temperatures the amount claimed by the promoters of AGW theory. Like all good cons there is a small kernel of truth in it. Increasing CO2 levels from 400 ppm to 4000 ppm will increase the temperature of the daily high in the hottest desert in the world (145 deg F) by about 0.4 degrees F. In the artic on a warm day (32 degrees F) it will be less than 0.01 degrees warmer. If you want to put this in context just compare it to the normal daily low to high temperature variations on the daily weather forecast. Further more as soon as the sun goes down the temperature will come back to what it would have been before the CO2 increase.
From my understanding, increasing CO2 levels have “some” warming effect as you mention, and the effect decreases logarithmically as levels continue to increase. In other words, more and more CO2 has less and less of a warming effect. People generally aren’t capable of nuance so when the media blares stories that CO2 causes warming, they accept it at face value and don’t look at it critically. We don’t need to be doing anything further to decrease CO2 emissions. The whole thing is nuts.

400 ppm is not even mid-range historically for CO2 levels in the atmosphere……ice core samples taken from the North Pole and analyzed for atmospheric content have revealed MORE CO2 in periods when the Earth was in an Ice Age and LESS CO2 when temperatures were much hotter than they are today…….if you graph CO2 levels with an ACCURATE temperature scale you will see CO2 lags temperature by about 700 years in its increases and decreases …….CO2 is held in solution in large part in the Earth’s oceans…….think of a carbonated drink when it heats up the carbonation boils off…….when the solution is kept colder then more CO2 can be kept in solution….simple when you consider the SCIENCE

Regarding any mandated/required vaxxing of school age /young kids after CDC ruling -legitimate parental concerns will transcend all political lines , I believe – I have told this story before of how parental concerns, especially by mothers, for their child’s welfare will outweigh all else, political or otherwise.

Some, because they support the policies the candidate or party.
And, many because they are “buying influence”; and they tend to donate to BOTH parties, so that whoever wins, they have influence.
Point is, with any of these reasons, they don’t want to donate to LOSERS.
As these big donors see MAGA Candidates beating both their RINO primary opponents, and their Dem opponents, this has GOT to effect their decisions on where to put their $.

This articles whines about the 1/6 committee’s show trial failing to influence voters. Several polls confirm 1/6 is way down the list of voter concerns.
But, being the New Republic, it praises Biden’s crude attacks on MAGA people as what Democrats and the 1/6 committee should have been screaming about all along. Translation: a socialist police state is needed to crush true Americans.
The author manfully (I’m sure “it” would denounce this pronoun) attempts to praise the 1/6 committee’s work as useful. But, the whining tone about voters not rising up to crush election deniers remains a sour note.

The hope is that for every J6 prisoner they treat horribly, 100’s or even 1000’s of others will be afraid, and will cower.
They won’t attend PDJT rallys, where cell phone tracking, and facial recognition can be used to “track” them.
They won’t attend School board meetings, or organise or run for school board.
They won’t peacefully stand vigil, outside abortion mills.
They won’t attend local Republican party meetings, and drive the RINOS out.
They won’t “step up” and run for office, boldly running on a MAGA platform.
They won’t VOLONTEER to work for such campaigns, going door to door, sending texts and various GOTV measures, etc.

Video of the incident shows the injured player standing near the net for her team. A player on the opposing team sets the ball up to be spiked by the transgender player, who jumps into the air and hammers the ball down. The injured player is hit in the face by the ball and immediately collapses to the floor.

Is he talking about campaigning or voting? It’s good to urge family, friends, and neighbors to vote. It’s good to participate in voter registration drives and doing door-to-door campaigning. But we should all vote as close to or on election day if possible. Don’t give the Dems a long lead time to fabricate just enough votes to win. Force them to guess.
And every administration spokesperson and biden should be met with large signs saying LIAR and with groups yelling so loudly the MSM can’t block them out, LIAR!
