The National Party Chair, for each party, writes a letter to each States Sos, and Puerto Rico I guess, assuring them the parties candidates for POTUS and VPOTUS, meet the Constitutional requirements, and the SoS’s duly file the letter; thats IT.
In the case of electors, County Recorders for each County ‘certify’ that counties results (“Trust me, they are bono fide!”), to the SoS, who then certifies to Gov, who then certifies to State Legislature, who then certifies electors for the State.
Its all “Honor System” in the most dishonorable business there is; Politics.

My mom had dementia for 10 years. I see a lot of her behavior about 3-4 years in being exhibited in Presidunce’s behavior. I would LOVE to get the inside stories and opinions from the secret service and Whites House staff on how he is in private and how many drugs he takes each day.

My mom had Alzheimer’s, and yes it is similar. I have someone very close to me that has had a brain aneurysm. Through this, I have met many additional survivors. There is no standard set of disabilities but it is not like dementia. It is different for everyone. Sometimes he appears to have the dementia like when he wanders or smiles inappropriately. However, some things are more like the aneurysm, gaps and missed connections from a brain that just not work correctly anymore. It may be that the reason that this is so difficult to define is that we are observing a combination of three maladies. The dementia that is newer, the brain aneurysm that that is older and just plain low intelligence which has always been there.
An excellent summary of his behavior! His actions are not typical of the specific stages of Alzheimer’s disease – he is clearly in cognitive decline but I agree there are also other factors. And yes, he has always been a braggart and a liar who thinks he is the smartest person in the room, so that is still in there and is still evident when he speaks off the cuff, which they try to keep him from doing.
My brother, at 54, came to live with us after destroying his career, losing everything to alcoholism..he had short term memory loss due to alcohol..He was very bright, went to CMU GSIA Masters and earned six figures..he did good on Prozac and klonopin, that lasted about 18 months..he then started to slip and developed severe OCD Disorder and stopped taking care of himself..found out he was filled with cancer and passed 7 weeks after diagnosis..at the same time my 83 yr old father came to live in our community after my mother passed..He was sharp as a tac, funny, life of the party,the total optamist..from 2008 to 2016 I dealt with “the guys” ..it was quite amusing, funny, rewarding and frustrating..my brother died at 60, my dad a year later at 90. I see bits and pieces of both in Joe Biden…my brother was totally ON at times then disoriented..my dad was hearing impaired and as he aged and felt physically weak he became somewhat of a “tough guy” like Joe Biden.. I think Joe Biden has dementia and hearing loss, he is frail and aging much more than his 80 years..more like 90. He is def on meds and he can be mean, cruel and a liar..just my observation.

Not very convenient while trying to prepare dinner!
Then I heard on a radio medical show that folic acid would be a big help. I started her on 300 microgram tablets 4 times a day — meals and bedtime, and symptom disappeared for a full year, including TWO MOVES (normally very upsetting) from a 4 BR house to a small apt, then to a bigger apt. during the next 12 months. The symptom started up again, so I increased the dose by 50%, 6 tablets a day — each 300microgranms. Symptom went away again.
I am now 79, substitute teach almost daily, also tutor algebra, chemistry and physics at community college, and take folic acid daily!!!!
