South Carolina has a gas tax. 0.28 cents/gal as of July 1, 2022.

Carson City, the State Capital is 15 miles away, Lake Tahoe is 34 miles with many hotel rooms and Reno is 49 miles, also many hotel rooms. Minden and adjacent Gardnerville are well-kept small towns with places to eat. They’re easy to get to – they are right on Hwy 395, the main road.
During the covid lockdowns, Nevada’s commie governor Sisolak forbid gatherings over 50 people. President Trump had a rally scheduled in Reno at the airport but the airport managers canceled it. The Minden airport went ahead and had the rally, got the fine, and flipped the bird to Sisolak. So I am sure that Trump is giving the airport in Minden these rallies as a Thank You.

The Trump plane arrival that gave me the shivers, which I just felt again as I began to type this, was its arrival in Pittsburg, Pa (I THINK) that last night of the 2016 campaign. In fact, I think it was past midnight so it was actually Election Day of 2016 and thousands of Americans were packed like sardines in a hangar which gave them refuge from the rain. The hangar door opened and there was the TRUMP PLANE…..MUSIC, CHILLS.
I just did a quick search for that clip and I can’t find it. Damn. I watched it over and over, even months and months after the victory.

Patty Murray’s Senate seat in Washington is in serious jeopardy. Republican is leading Democrat House candidate in RI 02 by 6%. Republican hasn’t held that seat for 30 years. Just a couple of examples, and there are more.

A new PayPal user agreement that threatens to fine users up to $2,500 if they use the service to “promote misinformation,” was sent out “in error,” a PayPal spokesperson tells FOX Business.
The updated PayPal Acceptable Use Policy effective Nov. 3 included an expansion of “prohibited activities,” which includes the “ending, posting, or publication of messages, content, or materials that meet certain criteria.”
According to the updated PayPal user agreement, the company states that each violation could result in “liquidated damages of $2,500.00” per violation, which would be withdrawn directly from their account.
They couldn’t take the backlash. Funny it took them this long to walk it back.
I wonder if they have lost a lot of customers already because of it. If I had a PayPal account I would have closed it within a couple of days. I used to use PayPal but it was several years ago.
Everyone can still quit, despite their ‘walking it back’.

I’d like to think my pay pal account cancellation (thanks to the heads up by a poster here the other day) helped them reconsider the backlash.
I bet it’s because so many have cancelled their PayPal accounts. I did it and I know others did when it was posted here at CTH.
