Retired Magistrate here: Well, here in Ohio time to turn the furnace on. When President Trump was in office home heating oil was between $1.92 and $2.64 here in Ohio. Just checked today: it is now $4.72 per gallon. Currently home heating oil is trading at $106 per barrel and rising. When I got our tanks filled up in June of this year it was $4.62 per gallon and I thought that was outrageous. However, I thought it would only go up so I wanted to make sure we were filled up.
For those of you who haven’t filled up your fuel oil tanks yet, you might want to do so immediately. With OPEC cutting production of oil and Biden putting numerous restrictions on drilling on federal land, home heating oil is only going to continue to rise. The price of oil per barrel right now is $87.91 but home heating oil is at $106. A lot of us in the Midwest and Northeast who heat with fuel oil are going to be cold this Winter due to the high price. So get insulated drapes, more blankets, use tape to keep out drafts around windows and more sweaters. Oh, for the days of President Trump and cheaper fuel oil along with natural gas, propane and electricity.

Over here in East Texas, the only news we have is out of Dallas, although I agree that all of the Police should have been canned long ago, in typical Demonrat fashion, every other add/commercial has something to do with Uvalde and how it is Abbott’s fault and that he has done nothing about guns. On the news every morning they still have a Uvalde update making sure to keep all of this in the news rotation. All of these adds are from some out of state organization.

I did read that as well. Where, at this point I do not remember, and whether the information was reputable or not I don’t know that either.

The only problem is “the plan or desire” of the Uni-Party is NOT to elect a Republican.
The Republican vote is going to be split at 3-ways. Two of the Republicans are still fully in the race and the 3rd withdrew (“unofficially”) but will still be on the ballot sucking up 1-2% of the votes.
Plus, the democrats who voted in the Republican Primary will flip back to being democrats. Also, the number of voters participating in the Primary is lower than the numbers that will on 8 November 2022.
As a bench mark, in 2016 Murkowski pulled 44% vs 13% for the Democrat, 13% for a “Major Independent”, 29% for the Libertarian and 1% other.
That means there is now about 43% of the vote laying about for distribution in November with each of the Republican Front Runners sitting at about 20-25% each vs a democrat starting at about 13%.
In a ranked election system this will be closer than many realize.
With fixed rules, a finite number of candidates and pretty good idea of the number of votes to be cast … be assured some math whiz with a super computer figured out the rankings that need to be on each ballot cast.

So this news about Hunter Biden’s impending prosecution? I’ve heard a lot about it… things like the charges against him have nothing to do with the resident in terms of implication and certainly nothing to do with the contents of the laptop. But one theory is that angry FBI agents are rebelling against the corrupt leadership. That’s one theory. The other theory is that this will be how the Democrats who are about to lose will try to oust Biden before they lose all of their power.
There are other theories as well.
But what about this Chinese guy Eugene Yu? What part of the FBI and what part of the DOJ is prosecuting this? And why is it being allowed to happen?
Is this more evidence of white hats in the FBI and the DOJ in field offices taking matters into their own hands putting the top leadership on the hook if they try to stop it?
That’s one theory that meshes well with the Hunter story line and it might even explain why they aren’t using the laptop from hell… they don’t have access to it… but they do have access to the other things they are getting him on.
And apparently, a plea deal was already offered to Hunter once and possible even twice where Hunter rejected the deals completely. If true, it’s going to be interesting to see the resident pardon his own son.
I was shocked to hear this too. All of the one side prosecution of anyone who is not a dem is now turning around? Dems never get prosecuted.

Find a local butcher. You will probably pay more for beef processed by a local butcher — but — you will know where that beef came from.
In central PA, we have a grocery store owner who is innovating ‘where’s the beef’.
Scott Karns, owner of Karns Food Market — now a chain of 19 local grocery stores — has found a solution. Karns buys ‘the cattle’; pays local farmers to raise them; and then butchers them to sell in his stores.
This is a win/win for everyone.
My hope is that other national grocery stores will follow this idea.
Grow local — sell local.

PayPal can say this if they want, but it merely means that you should utterly stop doing business with them, as eBay – once probably their biggest customer – already did.
Fundamentally, PayPal is a transaction processor, moving money around that does not belong to them: it belongs to you and to your customers. No bank can “penalize you” for how you choose to spend your money, much less for what you say in public or in private. And you did not “contractually agree with” anything to the contrary by signing up.
Banks generally cannot limit how you can use them to spend money. But they do not “become an accessory” if you spend it unlawfully. (They do have various mandatory reporting obligations.) This verbiage is toothless.
The only thing they might be able to legally do is to reverse the transaction, decline to process it in the first place, or suspend/revoke your account – if so, immediately returning all your money, which they hold only in trust. If they visibly see illegal activities, they can report it to the FBI or Treasury and probably are required to do so. But they can’t take action against you themselves, and you can’t “agree” otherwise. Also: you’re innocent unless proven guilty.

Last night my husband found a great movie to watch. It shows a modern day family in Japan and what they do when all the power in the world suddenly goes out and stays out for a long time. It was an interesting movie to watch, especially seeing what the family knows about disaster preparedness — or the lack thereof. To me it showed a lot of what we all have been talking about in preparing now for whatever Joe is cooking up for us.
The movie is called ‘Survival Family.’ It is a good movie without sex, drugs, nudity, etc., but has English subtitles, so you’ll have to do some reading.
