Outsourced censorship: Feds used private entity to target millions of social posts in 2020

A consortium of four private groups worked with the departments of Homeland Security (DHS) and State to censor massive numbers of social media posts they considered misinformation during the 2020 election, and its members then got rewarded with millions of federal dollars from the Biden administration afterwards, according to interviews and documents obtained by Just the News.
In its own after-action report on the 2020 election, the consortium boasted it flagged more than 4,800 URLs — shared nearly 22 million times on Twitter alone — for social media platforms. Their staff worked 12-20 hour shifts from September through mid-November 2020, with “monitoring intensif[ying] significantly” the week before and after Election Day.
The tickets sought removal, throttling and labeling of content that raised questions about mail-in ballot integrity, Arizona’s “Sharpiegate,” and other election integrity issues of concern to conservatives.

It’s one thing for a journalist to accuse his fellow journalists of getting something wrong; it’s quite another to accuse them of deliberately misleading the public. The former is understandable and forgivable. We all make mistakes. But to deliberately mislead the public is a violation of the duty of the journalist to report basic facts accurately. To accuse a journalist of deliberately misleading the public is to accuse him or her of lying. I recognize that it’s a very serious charge.
But it is time to state the obvious. The media are consciously and deliberately misleading the public about the relationship between climate change and hurricanes. That means they are lying. Mainstream news reporters, and their editors, at The Financial Times, New York Times, Washington Post, ABC News, and other outlets know perfectly well that hurricanes are not increasing in either frequency or intensity and have decided to mislead readers and viewers into believing the opposite.

I am a hard-hearted SOB. Her husband is not. Had I been in his shoes, there would have been a divorce a decade ago and I would have fought for full custody. Nobody should cheat on their spouse, especially if they are always telling everyone how Christian they are. By their fruits you will know them.
Historically, men have been unfaithful to their spouse, nearly to the extent of being a cultural norm, and it was an acceptable, if repugnant, behavior. Male politicians, and other leaders, those we like or not, haven’t been immune.
It’s become, with the liberation of women movement, more equal opportunity. Personally I believe women have long been just as promiscuous but they’re smarter about hiding it. We didn’t talk about being the milkman’s baby in the 50’s and 60’s for nothing. Equal rights, more mobility equals more opportunity and temptation.
Lastly, even today, with the legal system what it is, a woman can cheat, leave, take the kids and clean a guy’s clock financially and it’s all ‘legal’. That’s America.
We’ve all heard about her affairs, but has she said anything? Maybe I’m naive, but what makes you think it’s true? I see smears against her, and so many others, and I wonder what I can trust. Could not agree more. I’ve not read any of the MTG stuff, so I’m not commenting on her specifically, I can’t do so fairly. But it has always been my opinion that anyone who cheats on their spouse and betrays a family, putting that family, especially children, in peril, is not to be trusted until they change their ways permanently.

Jareh Sebastian Dalke, a 30-year-old Army veteran of Colorado Springs, Colorado, worked at the NSA as an information systems security designer from June 6 to July 1, 2022. According to the DOJ, Dalke used an encrypted email account to transmit excerpts of three classified documents he had obtained during his employment to an undercover FBI agent disguised as a representative of a foreign government.
Dalke was arrested on Sept. 28, after he arrived at a public location in Denver, expecting to meet the undercover agent and transfer one additional classified document. He allegedly told the agent that he has a debt of $237,000, and asked for a “specific type of cryptocurrency” in exchange for the “highly sensitive information” he possessed. The FBI ended up sending him about $4,600 worth of cryptocurrency as a “good faith payment” to help with his financial problems.
The information, according to an affidavit (pdf) supporting the criminal complaint, involves topics such as the threat assessment of the foreign country’s military offensive capabilities, a cryptographic program used by the U.S. government, and the threat assessment of U.S. defense capabilities, a portion of which relates to that foreign country.
While the foreign government is not identified, the affidavit states that Dalke claimed to have reached out to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, or SVR, to make that he was actually communicating with a foreign government entity “rather than Americans trying to stifle a patriot.”

so last night we had a brief flurry on CTH about the LA District attorney arresting the CEO of Konnech Software. Konnech created “Pollchief” which is ap based management system of polling place workers. Scheduling and Payroll type information. The software is used across the country.
Apparently approximately 1 Million poll workers Personal Information was on servers connected to the CCP in China. It is my understanding that this data included Social security information, Bank Account information, work schedules, and the big one PASSWORDS.

I can’t help but wonder, are the Russians in retreat, or are they just pulling back as a part of a strategic withdrawal? Why would they do that? Citizens for Sanity has over the last several weeks begun running billboard advertisements with messages like “Protect Pregnant Men from Climate Discrimination” and “Open the jails. Open the borders. Close the schools. Vote progressive this November.”
Another billboard says: “Violent criminals deserve our compassion and respect. This fall, stand strong for progressive values.”
Republican operative Ian Prior is serving as a strategic consultant to the group.

The Utah Senate race is very interesting. What is going on inside the LDS Church? Seems to be veering in two directions, one towards liberalism, acquiring mass wealth, and wokeness and one remaining in the traditional conservative base. Which do the Quorum support? Lee family is part of the founding group as is Romney, and you see division. Anyone from Utah know what’s up?
The globalist/progressive wing of the LDS church has been in control for decades. Example: they have quietly been active partners with the COC in support of sanctuary policies for illegals. It’s probably not surprising that the vast majority of any Christian church is conservative; but there certainly are those not so inclined. I’ve known hundreds of members in many capacities in my 67 years; I can count on my hands those over 40 that are liberal supporters (of whom I’m aware). No doubt you’re aware that political worldviews are mostly generational. Nevertheless, my own empirical experience shows that those under 40 are less conservative.
Keep in mind that the church leadership is far from “spring chickens”.

This shows Utah voted 58% for Trump; the 13th highest state.
Of course, the church teaches that each should investigate and make conscience-based choices.
BTW, every member with whom I’ve discussed Mitt Romney is less than happy with his choices. While I was comfortable with him compared to Obama, I still had reservations about some of the policies he supported as governor.

The millennial and Gen X Mormons I know are all proud Biden voters – not kidding. Their parents were all conservative. I think the Mormons sending their kids to public schools and colleges has had the same results as other groups.

Mike Lee is good, but I have reservations about his foreign employment efforts. Romney is woke and a globalist. Maybe it’s too much hair dye. Every member with whom I’ve discussed Mitt Romney is less than happy with many of his choices. While I was comfortable with him compared to Obama, I still had reservations about some of the policies he supported as governor.
The church does not provide official support for individual candidates, but it does make position statements on policy issues. You might be aware of the efforts made in CA regarding gay marriage.
There are certainly are those among the under 40 group that have a less than conservative view.

The End of Doctors’ Freedom to Ignore What the Government and Pharmaceutical Industry Say Should Worry Us All
On October 11th a Bill is to be presented to the Queensland Parliament which would impose draconian limits on what doctors can say to their patients. If passed, doctors will no longer be able to express their opinion or use their experience, training and education, if that opinion goes against what the Government health bureaucrats determine to be in the general interests of the public.
The National Law originally came into being after the Commonwealth, States and Territories all entered into an intergovernmental agreement in 2008. By that agreement it was established the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (the National Law) would first become legislation passed by the Queensland parliament (s.6.3), which the other States and Territories would then mirror and pass via each of their parliaments (s.6.4), The same intergovernmental agreement established the Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council (s.7.1) charged with overseeing the National Law.
Once passed into law by the Queensland parliament, all the other States and Territories are required to create virtually identical Bills and submit to their parliaments to be made law, thereby effecting the same amendments to the National Law of their State or Territory (s.13.4).
Australian doctors will be bound to follow Government policy regardless of countervailing evidence, which means that Government health bureaucrats will determine how doctors should approach treatment recommendations for their patients.
