The traditional republican party platform for trade, finance, economics and foreign policy was in direct conflict with Trump’s America First outlook. Wasn’t her dad on a presidential ticket that had reported irregularities as far as ballots, vote counts, etc? Was there technically a level of denial when vote counts in Florida reportedly seemed to narrow over election night?

How about the issue of networks calling Florida (and thus arguably, the election) for Gore early, and reports of the effects about those in the panhandle and out west who had yes yet to cast a vote? Was any reference in the many legal proceedings that involved her dad‘s VP candidacy to such an effect worthy of being labeled an “election denier“ as far as pointing out the potential impact on that election?
How would that have extended to the legal challenges themselves, which seemed akin to what was attempted after the 2020 election as far as asking for recounts, ballot examinations, irregularity checks, and so forth while recognizing certification timelines? Were the 2000 presidential election challenges to manual recount procedures in Broward etc. any more worthy of the label of “election denier“ then those who Cheney is now reportedly targeting?

It feels to me like a PAC focused only on defeating candidates from one party – rather than promoting a particular platform or policy – constitutes a subterfuge to get around campaign finance laws.
However much they might like us not to notice, Political Parties, like trade unions and guilds, exist to promote the interests of the members. Promoting a particular political philosophy, a domestic or foreign policy outlook, or an economic agenda is secondary. Parties and their members use the appearance of substance in these areas to garner mass support, and thus achieve money, elected office, government jobs, influence, and power. Party insiders would lke to make those perquisites permanent and inheritable. Registering to vote for a particular party does not a party member make.
The Republican Party can pretend to embrace Conservatism, etc., some of its members even start out as true believers. But they generally will not welcome reform movements; these bring in disapproving outsiders who threaten the perquisites. Trump is a sort of home invader who forced his way into the Party tent, and used it against its will to win an election in its name and pursue an agenda it does not want. Like an infected body, the host seeks to rid itself of the virus. But he has attracted a phalanx of yahoos, analogous historically to Andrew Jackson’s supporters. McConnell, Lynn Cheney and their ilk, who are really Big State socialists would much rather “Conservatives” lose than see the yahoos take their Republican Party away from them.
