The company additionally set up a Misinformation Reporting Channel for CDC and Census Bureau officials to report posts to Facebook’s team. Pres Trump has been correct on the Global Warming delusion. The data from NOAA is proof of the claim CO2 does not add to global warming.
NOAA data for sea level from mid-1800s and CO2 from 1958, each scientifically accurate, display ZERO correlation. A simple chart comparison proves CO2 does not cause global warming, ice melting leading to sea level rise. About as simple and elegant a proof debunking the concept of global warming in plain sight available. The longest sea level history is from The Battery Tide Gauge but the same lack of correlation occurs with every tide gauge globally.

A few thoughts for you.
For the NOAA tidal data, I did not see much of an explanation as to how they got that mean or average out of the raw data. I did not see anything that established an Absolute vs. Relative Sea Level. The land is no more static than the Oceans are. Land subsistence due to erosion, post-glacial isostatic rebound, land reclamation from the Sea historically like in New York City, Boston, etc. Besides, where is the unadulterated raw data?
The CO2 data from is less suspect than the emphasis place upon it by the suspect 2° Institute. Just follow the link to their homepage.

The center of all the suspension bridges above the East River as well as the Verrazzano Strait Bridge have all been measured and recorded to within an inch. The US Navy routinely moved capital ships and aircraft carriers under the Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge and the Verrazzano Bridge going to and from the Brooklyn Navy Yard and the Atlantic. The official measurements are at mean high water. Someone could walk out on the Brooklyn Bridge and take a measurement. I don’t believe the land around NYC is rising or falling but even that information would be recorded somewhere.

I have no interest in being a global warming flak, I was simply taking issue with John Sturges’ assertion:

I can’t tell if he meant that sea level stations show no correlation with each other or that the Bath sea level record shows no correlation with the CO2 record
So I gave links to both so that others can inspect, and said that my judgement would be that they would show numerical correlation because both showed rising trends over the past half century

Yes, I’m aware “correlation isn’t causation” but I was not taking issue with causation, simply that I’d like to see Sturges’ simple chart comparison that leads him to make a big point about ZERO correlation, because when I compared charts for the two datasets he mentioned, they definitely will show numerical correlation if the two series are regressed against each other because they both are trending similarly (upward)

I’m a geologist by profession and studied those topics, as well as working with tidal records and researching decadal climate variations that influence water resources during my career as a groundwater hydrologist.

Ans: They average the tide-gage water-level record over a 19-year period called a “tidal epoch” (it takes 19 years or 19.4 years or something for all the astronomical cycles that govern the tides to complete a full cycle).
They then re-reference the entire historical record to the newest 19-year datum and calculate mean water level. That’d be the ‘average’ you’re looking for
