It destroys the ability to contract for goods and services over time, and expect that you’ll actually get them — or get paid for them. Think about whether you think what we have now is acceptable — and if it isn’t, contemplate what you think you ought to do about it.

To Clarion’s point, I took an affirmative step 17 years ago when I left California and moved to Texas. I researched the new location based on: affordable housing, low crime, good schools, political proclivities of the target neighborhoods, and other metrics. I chose well. However, this strategy of replacing your community is not always possible.
We must affirm the value of the family. Fathers need to know that marriage is hard, but the family and their leadership of it is paramount. This one thing takes care of a host of other problems. What can I do about that? Support the fathers that I know.
Other than that, education is important. As a professor, I resist the creeping crud that is education reform. I also maintain my own standards. The list can go on.
Yes. We need to claw through the curtain “most secure election ever” and express our contrary view that universal mail ballots, ballot harvesting, and everything short of France-style, everyone goes to the polls on Election Day, shows their ID, and votes on paper (with very stringent exceptions for overseas service) is simply not good enough. We need to demonstrate for safer elections. We need to ally with Republican African Americans and Latinos to claw through the curtain of “Republicans are racist and want to deny votes for minorities. We need to be loud and in large numbers, but demonstrate peacefully, while documenting the BLM and Antifa disruption techniques, and police behavior as well.

I am late to the party but if you copied and pasted something directly from a webpage, it may have carried some non-standard font formatting with it. I have done that myself and caused the same problem.
Here’s how to prevent that in the future:
Copy the material from wherever you want to – BUT FIRST paste it into a basic plain text app in your computer or mobile device (whatever you’re using). Once it’s in that app, THEN copy it from that app into the Reply / Comment block here in CTH. It should paste in OK, adopting the normal font in CTH comments.
Tip: Avoid really long strings of text as is often encountered in URL addresses (links).
Hint – in a long-string URL, everything that appears after the first occurrence of a question mark ? can usually be deleted without affecting the functionality of the address.

I also am perplexed about the Pence led task force. When we look back at the time Covid was first identified, no one knew or would say what the virus really was and the risk it posed to humanity. There is no doubt in my mind that if he tried to change the task force and direction of the country response to Covid while thousands of people were being declared dying of Covid, he would have been impeached and removed. Congressional bills have been out of control for a long time. Need a law that invalidates any bill that has more than one item in it. Definitely no unrelated items in the same bill. Would go farther and say that a bill cannot be longer than 10 pages and must be read aloud in session before a vote with only valid voters present. If you are not present no vote.
