I think it is more about US hegemonic posturing because things are going badly for us in the Ukraine. NATO and the US military look extremely weak right about now.
The US aspires to expand NATO to include western allies in the Pacific (S. Korea, Japan, Australia, NZ, Vietnam, etc). This is in serious jeopardy due to military events in the Ukraine, the energy issue fallout in the EU due to the backfire of Russian sanctions, and the falling petrodollar. These Asian countries might be having second thoughts to join an expanded NATO realizing their fortunes are best situated with alignment to the east. The US knows this and needs to show some authority and power in the Far East to buttress its NATO expansion strategies, future MIC military weapons sales and hold onto the petrodollar. In essence, trying to save face to retain its grip on power in the Far East which could be soon tottering in the near future if any US Asian allies decide it is in their interest to join up with BRICS +.

This permeated throughout the states and for me the best example is in California. The public voted at 63% for Prop 187 1994 cutting off benefits for illegal aliens and a single judge set it aside the vote of the majority, and this gave the thumbs up to the invasion by 3rd world squatters. They say, as goes California so goes the USA. This once reliably red state turned blue by court dictate. If you say anything the entire swamp will scream raaaacist.

So I am not too happy hearing someone say emotional thinking is superior and logical thinking isn’t capable.

I haven’t watched part 2 yet; you make very good points. Agree that emotional thinking is superior but not in the way it seems; I’ve seen it being superior in having a superior impact on those who do emotional thinking because the emotions over ride that still small voice within (the conscience that makes people stop and start asking the right questions). Emotions are powerful drivers, and once spiked into action is superior since logical thinking requires the whole person and for the emotional person they are too lazy to realize the manipulation they are being subjected to, so in that way superior in that the emotions take center stage for the manipulated.

The mother was shot on her porch by FBI snipers while holding her 18 month old baby. The 14 year old son was shot in the back after he challenged snipers who had shot his dog. These fine federal agents taunted Randy Weaver after he dragged his wife’s body into the house, by calling out for her to make them some breakfast.

The PBS production is mostly propaganda and lies. The gist of the truth is Weaver was a separatist, didn’t want to live near or among blacks or Hispanics. He’d attended a few Aryan Brotherhood meetings in Idaho but found the members too overtly racist, with too much talk of race wars and apocalyptic wars. He bought his tiny hilltop retreat to be alone.
The FBI later asked him to become an informant on the Aryan Brotherhood and “white supremacists” in ID in general. Weaver refused. Two BATF undercover agents then “befriended” Weaver. After several months they asked him to cut down two rifle barrels to under the minimum legal length of 16″. Weaver balked but eventually accepted $200 and did the deed. He admitted it at trial and said he was desperate for money at the time.
After cutting the barrels, BATF arrested Weaver. They said they’d not prosecute if he’d agree to join Aryan Brotherhood as an informant. Weaver told the ATF to “GFYS” and retreated to his mountain.
BATF then filed charges. Weaver was sent court dates with the court date being deliberately WRONG, so that Weaver missed the court date. A FTA was issued. Weaver told the govt “GFYS”. The local sheriff told FBI and BATF that he could talk Weaver into coming to court. FBI and BATF told local sheriff “GFYS”, so to speak, and then started surveilling Weaver’s home.
One day, Wever’s dogs started barking. 14 yo Sammy weaver and a family friend, 33 yo Kevin Harris, thought dogs barking at deer. Since there was little food in the cabin, and since Weaver knew he was being surveilled, Sammy and family friend took rifles, thinking they’d shoot the deer. As Sammy came to where his dog was barking, a man dressed head to toe in black, with black Balaclava, appeared out of the bushes and shot the dog. Sammy is said to have yelled “You shot my dog!” and then fired at the man. The man then fired back and Sammy took off running away from the man. The man continued to fire with his Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine gun, striking Sammy in the back and killing him. Kevin Harris then shot and killed the man.
Thus started the government siege of Randy and Vicky Weaver, their daughter, and family friend Kevin Harris.
Weaver and Harris carried Sammy’s body back to the cabin. Put it in an outbuilding.
Several days later Weaver and Harris went to view the body. On walking back to the cabin they were fired on by BATF sniper Lon Horiuchi; a top graduate of West Point. Horiuchi hit Kevin Harris in the shoulder. Vicky Weaver (wife) opened the cabin door as Weaver and Harris started running to the cabin. Vicky held her infant daughter in her other arm. Horiuchi lined up his 7.62 sniper rifle on Vicky’s head and squeezed off. Vicky was dead before her body hit the ground.
For the next several mornings BATF announced via loudspeaker “We had pancakes for breakfast, Mrs. Weaver. What did you have?”. They also played loud recordings of rabbits being slaughtered (sounds like babies screaming) and shone bright lights on the cabin all night long. Armored, tracked vehicles came into the yard and tread over outbuildings and structures. The baby was crying constantly and hungry for mother’s milk. Harris’ wound festered and grew more infected.
Weaver and Harris surrendered.
Defense attorney Gerry Spence never put Weaver on the stand. He put BATF and FBI on the stand and poked holes in their entire case. The jury found Harris innocent of murdering the POS agent that murdered Sammy. They found Weaver innocent of FTA, because the court date on his notice was clearly, deliberately wrong. They convicted Weaver of cutting the barrels too short. They finally told the judge “The wrong people were on trial here”.
Weaver sued and accepted a paltry $3 million from the govt. How he, as a former Green Beret, didn’t wage a one man killing spree against the then know FBI and BATF agents who murdered his son and wife and ruined his life, is a testament to his humanity. Lon Horiuch was promoted by the FBI. He should’ve been Weaver’s first target, just like Vicky was Horiuchi’s target.
Idaho v. Horiuchi: The Case Against the FBI Sniper
Attorney General from 1991 to 1993, William Barr was responsible for both the U.S. Marshals Service and the FBI during the seige at Ruby Ridge. But it wasn’t until after leaving office that Barr did the most damage. In 1997, brave Idaho Prosecutor Denise Woodbury charged Lon Horiuchi – the FBI sniper who fatally shot Vicki Weaver – with involuntary manslaughter. The case was dismissed, but was eventually reversed by the Ninth Circuit, which held that the case could stand trial. By now, enough time had gone by that Woodbury got defeated in the 2000 election, and Prosecutor Brett Benson was now on the case.
It was during this time that Barr worked pro-bono, behind the scenes, to seek immunity for Horiuchi. He organized former attorney generals and others to help defend Horiuchi, and he helped frame legal documents in their appeal to the Ninth Circuit. Barr’s attempt was a success, and Prosecutor Benson dismissed all charges against Horiuchi. Benson later resigned due to charges of forgery and falsifying documents.
Horiuchi’s case was dismissed on September 14, 2001. Special Prosecutor Stephen Yagman, who had been appointed by Woodbury to handle the case and was later fired by Benson, said of the final outcome: ”I could not disagree more with this decision than I do.”
Horiuchi went on to be promoted in the FBI, he never spent a day in jail, and he never missed a day’s pay. William Barr went on to hold several posts within the Department of Justice and the CIA, and eventually became the Attorney General under President Donald Trump.

I remember watching the hearings Congress had on this incident. That was the first time I had ever heard of a Senator Joe Biden. A witness, an ATF agent that had tried to turn Mr. Weaver into an informant, which Mr. Weaver refused to do, which then set off the whole chain of events that led to this tragedy.
The witness was speaking of personal experience and Senator Biden piped in and shut the witness down saying, and I remember these words to this day “You are speaking above your pay grade”.
Noticed in future hearings and events, that phrase, of speaking above one’s pay grade, was something Biden often did to not only belittle the person but to also shut down any discussion of whatever matter was being brought up.

A Nissan Leaf gets about 4.6 miles per kWh which at $0.12kWh is similar to owning a 30 mpg car with $0.78/gallon gas.
If you drive the Nissan Leaf 10,000 miles per year you need 10,000/4.6 or 2,173kWh/year thus increasing your electricity needs by 19% if you are the ‘average’ household.
A 30-panel solar array in the PNW will produce about 12,500 kWh per year, so if you are an average household with a Nissan Leaf and 30 solar panels, you will have ‘no’ electrical and ‘no’ gasoline bill.
How do I know, because that is what we have.

Residential electricity rates in Connecticut average 17.34¢/kWh, which ranks the state 4th in the nation.
Let me know how your calculations change when you need a new battery in the car. Also, where was the battery produced, how will dispose of it, can it catch fire, and did you know you have to excavate 500,000 lbs of earth to produce one battery for a Tesla. It happens in China primarily and Africa for the minerals. Fossil fuels are used for every part of the manufacturing process. And your electric grid is primarily coal and gas powered.
Their is a strong after market for these battery packs for off grid backup. Even when they have just 25% of there original capacity they are still better than lead acid.
Our car is still going strong at 110,000 miles, 70% original capacity. The only maintenance has been new tires. Some owners are now over 250k miles.
I have had many gas cars, and none of them could make it that far without a serious power train replacement. So if one electric car can replace two gas cars that is also something to consider in terms of energy and waste.
Also the Nissan Leaf doesn’t have a temperature control battery, so very hot, very cold, or those that do alot of long distance driving, this car isn’t for you.
Plug in Hybrids though could be a good compromise as may trips are within the all electric range, plus this extends the life of the gas power train. Plus no brake jobs and combined mpg in the range of 80. The battery is about 1/20th the size of a Tesla.
At your electrical rates, it would be a little over $1/gallon in electric mode.
Any form of transportation or energy production requires resources and produces waste.
Concerning charging electric cars with coal, the improved efficiency of an electric car makes up for some of the CO2 release vs gasoline.
Still CO2 is not bad. In fact the CO2 level was going to be so low that most plants would have died 10 million years from now.
Fortunately humans came along just in time to prevent that.
The real problem is running out of fossil fuel.

Gradually, Then Suddenly
Of all the tactics employed by tyrants to achieve their goals, the illusion that we have plenty of time to escape is arguably the most important. If we could all go back to February 2020, how many of us would have predicted we would be here? How did it all happen? Gradually, then all at once. Mayer senses our dilemma:
Think back to March 2020. We should have resisted then. We should not have tolerated stay-at-home orders or various (and even non-sensical) restrictions on local businesses and private life. Governments had already gone too far. And then came the masks, and some said that masks were the hill. Individuals who shared these concerns were derided as fanatics and conspiracy theorists, but they were right.
Many did not see it, and even fewer resisted. I saw it relatively early, but I did not resist as fiercely as I should, and my failure haunts me to this day. Had we more seriously resisted masks, the prospect of vaccine mandates would have largely collapsed. Indeed, there would be no political, moral, or practical support for vaccine mandates and the more insidious vaccine passports had mask mandates been successfully resisted. But we—but I—did not resist as fiercely as I should have.
Why not? I told myself that it was worth keeping my position of influence at my job. It was a “calculated decision” to continue to help those around me. And I also needed to provide food and shelter for my daughters, to enable them to have a “normal” childhood.
But in my good and noble compromises—they are, in fact, compromises—have I laid the groundwork for further infringements on my family’s lives and liberties? Have I sowed the seeds of an eternal dystopia that will forever terrorize my daughters and their children? Have I made a deal with the devil? More importantly, if I have, is there any way out of this contract?
The Power of Non-Violent Resistance
We underestimate how much power people have when they choose to resist. Parents across the nation pushed back against mask mandates, and many school boards relented and made masks optional. Many employees refused to comply with vaccine mandates, and many employers relented (or at least granted broad exemptions). Parents and employees did not win in all cases, but they’ve won more battles than many realize, and the war is far from over. Strong and united opposition has also resulted in reversals of government covid policies, and more mandates are being lifted as more pressure is applied. We must continue to resist and help others do the same, recognizing that the costs we bear will be worth it in the end.
The Cost of Dissent
In Hitler’s Germany, to stray from the acceptable concerns, to deviate from the accepted narrative, was to put oneself at risk. And so it is today. Dissenters are looked on as the ones who cause problems. Challenging the accepted narratives or questioning the “consensus” draws the ire of both everyday citizens and cultural elites. Dissent is dangerous, not because one is factually incorrect in his assessments, but because his assessments challenge accepted dogmas.
The Cost of Compliance
There is a cost to being a dissenter. Mayer’s friends were in constant danger of losing their jobs and their freedoms—and possibly their lives. But there is also a cost to compliance, and that cost is far greater than anything we can currently imagine. Listen carefully to Mayer:

The 100 acre, $84 million luxury campus of the American Hebrew Academy in Greensboro, North Carolina, site of the Biden administration’s five-year lease for a new camp for illegal alien migrant children, is being backed by a communist Chinese company, Puxin Limited, that loaned the school $26 million dollars in 2019 and continues to be a lender to this day. Top ranking academy board members were replaced by Chinese figures after the 2019 loan, according to reports. Two months ago the New York Stock Exchange suspended trading in Puxin and moved to delist the firm.
A September 19, 2019 press release by Puxin Limited announced the loan.
BEIJING, Sept. 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Puxin Limited (NYSE: NEW) (“Puxin” or the “Company”), a successful consolidator of the after-school education industry in China, today announced that it has entered into a loan agreement, deed of trust note and other ancillary documents with American Hebrew Academy, Inc. (“AHA”), a North Carolina non-for-profit corporation, pursuant to which Puxin extended a loan in a principal amount of US$26 million to AHA to fund its operations of an international college prep boarding school in North Carolina, the United States. The loan bears an interest rate of 18.0% per annum and becomes due on September 6, 2020. The loan is secured by AHA’s interest in certain real property located in North Carolina.

Judicial Watch reported the positions taken by the Chinese:
“The American Hebrew Academy has deep Chinese connections, according to records uncovered by Judicial Watch. Its president, vice president and treasurer are Ni Zhang, Shong Gao, and Wei Yang. A few months after closing in the fall of 2019, the school took out a $26 million mortgage from Puxin, a Chinese education company. It planned to open under a new name, but never did. The money HHS is paying in rent will likely be used to pay back the Chinese company.”
WFMY-TV reported at the time in 2019 the Puxin deal involved more than a loan:
Public records available with the Guilford County Register of Deeds show that on Monday, September 9, American Hebrew Academy (AHA) transferred financial liability of its 100-acre property in Greensboro NC, to Puxin Limited, a publicly-traded Beijing-based firm. The documents were prepared in Orange County and signed an notarized by a Durham County Notary Public on September 6th.
Puxin Limited is a Chinese K-12 after-school educational services provider based in Beijing. The Company offers study-abroad tutoring programs that help students to prepare for admission tests and applications for top schools, universities, and graduate programs. The documents also showed Puxin entered a lease agreement with AHA and the Deed of Trust amount of $26 million.

After securing the loan from Puxin, AHA went through a similar restructuring and rebranding process. Ditching the religious aspect, it renamed itself AHA International School — a secular college preparatory high school geared toward international students. It announced its anticipated reopening for the 2020-21 year.
A source familiar with the transition rebukes claims that Puxin’s role was strictly financial in nature. Puxin was deeply involved in the rebranding efforts and may have even pushed for the school to reserve 1/3 of its future student population for Chinese students.
Just as Puxin issued the loan, 8 AHA board members either stepped down or were removed.
Ni Zhang, Shong Gao, and Wei Yang stepped in to serve in the highest ranking roles.
The school’s registered agent on its business registration documents changed from former CEO Glenn Drew to a woman named Qinghua Zhao.
Puxin’s financial records to its shareholders indicate the company’s income from the interest-bearing loan increased drastically from 2018 to 2019 as well as from 2019 to 2020 and attributed the growth to AHA.
William Scarborough, who oversees AHA’s property and represents the board did not respond to requests for the names of current board members but did confirm Puxin refinanced the school’s debt in 2019 when it was the verge of default. He also confirmed that Puxin remains a lender to the school.
North Carolina’s eight Republican Congressmen, Richard Hudson, Ted Budd, Madison Cawthorn, Patrick McHenry, Virginia Foxx, Dan Bishop, Richard Rouzer and Gregory Murphy have been raising a stink about the Biden administration’s plans to house illegal alien children at the luxury campus.
The Washington Examiner reported Friday the Biden administration signed a no-bid contract worth $177 million with New York-based Deployed Resources to manage up to 1,100 illegal alien children and underage teenagers in the lap of luxury at the academy.

The Biden administration has signed contracts indicating over $500 million could be spent to house illegal alien migrant children at a luxury private school campus in Greensboro, North Carolina for the next five years (with an additional five-year option). The site is the 100-acre former American Hebrew Academy that closed in 2019 but was saved with millions of dollars in loans from a Chinese company that effectively took over the school. The campus has been renamed the Greensboro Piedmont Academy Influx Care Facility for UC. UC stands for unaccompanied children, meaning Biden is incentivizing families to send their children alone on the dangerous trek to illegally cross the U.S. southern border for the chance to get all expenses paid care courtesy of Uncle Sugar.
The luxury camp is being planned to house up to 800 illegal alien children aged 13-17 for two weeks to several months until they can be resettled in the U.S. There are conflicting reports on when the camp will start taking in migrant children ranging from the end of July to the end of the year.

denied saying that and avowed Trump lost and Biden won. Most Oregon Republicans are for Trump so nice gal from Klamath Falls will get antiabortion vote and friends from Klamath. The democrat is a lesbian from back East who frequently
mentions her wife. She has raised $3 million but democrats count the mail in ballots so really doesn’t need to campaign. The Oregonian is Betsy Johnson from Scappose who owns guns, flies helicopters and has raised over $10 million.
Betsey Johnson has a lot of support but it’s all about who counts the votes in OR.

The Lithuanian EDM4S seems to be a commercially available EW defense against smaller commercial drones. Both sides are using short range commercial drones for surveillance of enemy movements.
Another article described a simple counter measure Russian troops developed after seeing their drones drift away.
Light weight fishing line from a rod and reel is used to pull the drone back down when it loses control signals. This must be used over very short ranges.
With a possible Civil War looming, we probably need to think of drone usages, as well as necessary weapons.
