This problem affects any and all organizations which require participation. Normal people focus on their own personal lives. That is why everything from HOA’s, stockholder owned corporations, and government wind up in the control of the left. It is why the GOP will ALWAYS be run by leftists. Leftists are naturally driven to seek power as much as normal people are driven by personal issues.
A party that recognizes people don’t stay engaged can offset this by incorporating specific, iron clad policies that must be obeyed or result in immediate expulsion. The GOP will never accept this (that is why they use the meaningless “principles” terminology).
People OUGHT to be able to trust their party to do what they say they will do. A party that consciously lies and deceives its voters is nothing but a criminal organization.

Better to expend effort on repealing the 17th and 22nd amendment.

As for the 22nd, we are SUPPOSED to have 3 CO-EQUAL branches; HOW can they be equal, when only ONE is “term limited” to 8 years, whereas of the other two, one has “lifetime appointments” and the other, as noted above can use “the power if incumbency” to insure they remain in Congress for 40+ years?
Forget “term limits” and focus on the 17th and the 22nd, as they are an essential element in taking us away from the Founders vision.

So many poorly conceived amendments from the past. I agree with repealing both of these but you should also include the 16th. This government looks completely different without unlimited funding from the 16th.

If the president has them then the congress should also but there needs to be a way for certain representatives to jump through some hoops and get extra terms. Something they will despise and may even hurt financially so we get someone that is simply willing to do the work.
I would suggest requirements for any extended term to be things like no pay, no stock trading allowed, no speech pay, forced communication with constituents, mandated debates, no special healthcare plans, no exemptions from any requirements on American citizens, no business dealings or lobbyist contacts whatsoever, and more.
The longer they serve the more hoops they have to jump through. Look at it like a lot of games where the farther you progress, more and more difficult challenges are presented. Anyone who makes it through all that might be someone we want to keep.
I’d settle for reducing the term of a Senator to 3 or 4 years maximum. Six years allows a lot of corruption
The biggest part of our problem is not the elected politicians. It is the bureaucrats who actually run things.
That said, I am opposed to abortion and euthanasia.

If they were to cheat and hold the majority they can’t blame republicans and could lose it all in 2024.
If they know they will lose, every thing they do will be to set up the lies for their media accomplices to hammer away at for 2 years. In a no win situation they will take the lesser loss this November. If that is their plan it will be confirmed by SlowJoe suddenly falling and can’t get up, before they don’t have the votes to get their new VP.
Why?

No shells. Most likely black powder loaded into “barrels” from breech ends. Breech ends then sealed with end caps. Projectile (likely not pellets, e.g., 00 Buck, etc) rammed down barrel onto powder charge.
