Free energy is a technicality insofar as it will always cost something to be able to make use of it. Opportunity costs essentially. Notably the building and maintaining of the machinery to use/ transform the energy into other useful forms.
With that said, if there was any seriousness about making electricity cheap, say only a couple cents per Kwh, then nuclear could already do that. I can imagine what could possibly top that.
That was the genius of Tesla. He imagined it. As I understand it (flawed understanding, it is), there was no wired distribution, so no transmission lines, distro lines, etc. There would need to be one of these towers in every town, but other than that, free.
Now, as for initial build and maintenance? How the electricity would be routed inside the businesses and homes? I have no idea.

Your concerns are well-placed. We’d all be living in a significant EMF field (much more powerful than today’s cellphone & Wi-Fi RF fields) if he was successful. The amount of energy transmissible by air was extremely tiny compared to what can be obtained via AC transmitted via power lines.
The electrical energy from Tesla’s tower was/is significantly and logarithmically reduced as one moves away from the tower in all directions. Air itself is a significant non-conductor until it is ionized such as during a thunderstorm. The wires of a high tension power line are only a few meters apart yet they carry electrical power anywhere from 85,000 to 550,000 volts (typically 345,000 V). Were air a good conductor, those power lines could not work unless they were much much farther apart..
Tesla, and Einstein, and others such as Morey (see below), had a glimpse of understanding into the fundamental principles revealed more precisely under Einstein’s general theory that all mass is conceivably a reconfiguration of energy, all resonating at varying frequencies relative to that of light.

The Creator has configured it all. We, here, each of us, are being exposed to this world, this particular existence, existing in these particular frequencies and densities, to add to and grow our spiritual maturity, in the hope of returning with it and becoming one with the Creator again.
And as our conscious understanding grows, so does the frequency of our spiritual beings and our everlasting existence, in developing ever closer to that Creator. Tesla could possibly transmit electricity right out into the air, maybe.
But it still had to be captured and directed and controlled to be sent through out homes and businesses.
To make it useful, electricity had to be corralled, so to speak.
Tesla was a genius when it came to inventing things but fell a bit short in the practical application and the ability to make his inventions work for much more than just fooling around with in the work shop.
To think through the practical application of what he devised to make it work took a different type of mind.

There is a bill on Governor Desantis’ desk I heard about on the Bob Rose Show a few weeks back that would allow Electric Companies to skip paying homeowners for electricity dumped back to the grid from private solar panels. The bill also allows the same companies to raise rates at will with inflation.
The whole idea of “grid connected” solar power, is a massive SCAM.
It attempts to circumvent the reality of the limitations of solar, that is “off grid” solar.
You CAN live with off-grid solar, BUT; you have to make some significant lifestyle changes, that only about 10 percent of the population are willing to make.
You have to “give up” a number of conveniences that most won’t.
If only the 10 percent “went solar” the cost of off-grid solar systems would go WAY up, making them unaffordable for most of the 10 percent.
And count on it, the Rich, as the only ones who COULD afford it, would also be those least inclined to “give up” conveniences.
Grid connected solar is also a scam, for the obvious reason that it can’t work without large coal, NG, Nuclear or hydroelectric plants plugged into it, to do what solar can’t.
Its a CON, a SCAM and millions are falling for it, unfortunately.
If everyone had a small array of panels in the sunbelt to augment the increased load during summertime peak usage how could that be a bad thing? I am in no way a “Greentard” I think every bit helps. I live not far from a leg of the Sabal Trail pipeline whose substation that was a hotbed of activity 2 years ago, is now a ghost town. I was complaining about Big Power wanting to cut self reliant folks who live in the sticks off from any recompense for power used by the grid. An undamaged solar array and battery bank would have been great after Hurricane Irma.
It doesn’t help because it’s not reliable – you don’t have an SLA requiring you to generate that electricity. If for any reason your generation fails (hot but cloudy day?), the power company still needs to keep a plant in operation ready to take over your usage plus that of what you should have generated for a neighbor.
Not sure what about grid-tie solar you believe is a scam. I’m sure there are unscrupulous solar dealers out there. But there are good ones too. Every grid-tied system is a small generator when the sun shines. It doesn’t replace fossil fuel powered generation, it augments the existing generation plants tied to the grid.
I’ve had a 30 panel (7,500 Watt) system on my roof since August 2012. It paid for itself in 6.5 years. My electrical bill is consistently $8.56 every month (the utility provider’s connection fee) except December through March, and both December and March bills are generally less than $80. And I am not in a southern state – I’m in the Mid Atlantic region- Maryland. January and February bills are high because that’s when we get the least amount of sun in my location, plus my whole house steam humidifier is on all the time those 2 months and it eats power – 240VAC 10A.
So I am an advocate for grid-tie systems because if more homes & businesses had them, it would reduce the load on the grid and reduce the likelihood of brown outs and black outs during peak cooling days (late spring, summer, early fall). Of course it depends very much on one’s geographical location, the compass orientation of your roof, the angle of the roof, and the size of the roof. Locations in southern latitudes benefit more than those in northern latitudes.
These days most grid-tie systems are offered via many different deals, the deal with free system installation ($0 cost) and a greatly reduced but steady (all 12 months) electrical bill can be appealing to those with small budgets. You have to run the math to see if the deal makes $$ sense for your particular location and budget.
Any investor-owned electric utility attempting to raise rates has to go through the Public Service Commission(PSC) first. It has to have public hearings. Do you keep up with those through your investor-owned electric utility page or PSC web page? You can send in comments to the Commissioners or appear to make comments in person. There is also an Office of Public Counsel at the Capitol who represents the public interest in matters before the Commission–write/call/email and make your voice heard on all matters relating to electric, gas, or private water/sewer.
This is the only net metering type of bill that I found and it was VETOED:

My Frisian grandfather never spoke much. Looks like drugs- a psychosis of some sort. The father should have never agreed to support his son buying the gun. According to the Daily Mail, the gun in question was purchased in 2020- when he was 19 and they had just confiscated his other weapons when he was giving threats to harm others. Illinois has “red-flag” laws- they obviously don’t work. If the father did indeed buy him the gun during that period of time, he should be charged and held liable too. It’s going to be a case by case basis but the parents need to be held liable in some of these cases so that this stupidity comes to an end.

Indeed in most of the cases of mass-mayhem of this sort there were years of prior knowledge deliberately ignored and never brought before a judge. In Florida actual felony assaults were alleged to have taken place, yet said person never saw the inside of a courtroom for doing it. In Uvalde multiple officials in the school had every reason to make such a referral — and didn’t, on purpose. In Waukesha said person could have been held, and wasn’t. In this latest instance the accused had long-standing social media and video posts up in the public in which was clear and convincing evidence that appeared to show he was wildly deranged and in fact claimed to be unable to control the impulse to kill.
None of this was hidden from the authorities; there was no dark secret anywhere.

When my driver’s license came up for renewal a couple of years ago, I had to present my birth certificate again because of the state’s compliance with Real ID. I have never wanted to be pushed into biometrics or Real ID. However, now the driver’s license is a major gateway into voter registration, I’m not as bothered. This should help.

That’s my take.
Constitution 101.
First, the Constitution must allow the Federal Government supreme authority over something.
Any power not explicitly called out in the Constitution, goes to the We the People first and then to the States second (provided the State ‘also’ amended its Constitution to assume that power)
Second, a majority of both the House and Senate must approve, and the Executive sign such expansions/clarification of said authority.
Further, Congress cannot delegate this ‘clarification’ authority to some Federal agency. While they may have a hand in writing the specifics, these specifics must be written in the law itself. If these specifics are too complicated (ie Obama care), that is your first sign that the Federal government shouldn’t be doing it in the first place?
My guess is only about 10% of the current Federal Government spending and laws comply with the two ‘Constitutional’ hurdles above. And that last 10% is about +90% corrupt at this point as well.
Restoring election integrity, and extreme Federalism is the only way peacefully out of this mess.
What percentage of the Federal code, with attendant rules, regulations and policies and procedure, abrogates rights the Constitition grants to “the individual states and the People?
That is, such Federal overreach only continues because the States, acting on behalf of the citisenry, never challenge the Fed govt in court; WE, collectively aquiesed.
If WE, The People, actinh thru our State governments, assert “federalism” in Court, there are so many vulnerable targets, one hardly has to AIM.
The Federal Govt is actually fairly weak, as was intended by the Founders.

So there is historically a period of deflation in fiat currency systems ‘before’ the finally collapse and currency reset.
This deflation is primarily the result of a sudden shift in monetary velocity among those with excess purchasing power. Basically, the top 10% stop spending. Which then sets off a reinforcing cascade of layoffs in the lower 90%, which also reduces monetary velocity. Debt defaults come next, reducing the effective currency supply even further as most ‘currency’ in the system is actually a debt instrument. Only physical cash is not.
So maintaining debt payments while your real income is declining, while the real prices of everything you consume are going up is often the breaking point for many households going one by one into a debt default. Also highly deflationary for those that hold the debt ‘ie asset’, the top 10% plus, 401K, IRAs, and Pension funds.
Rest assured this is a temporary condition of at most a few years as social pressure builds to ‘do’ something. So if you have a debt on something you care about, you should ‘also’ have an asset that will bridge this gap, the simplest being cash, but if you want to assume more risk/reward, precious metals are a good option as well. Just to at least bridge this gap.
The simple fact is ‘all’ fiat currency systems have ultimately reset via sustained high rates of inflation due to the government’s reaction to keep control/feed an increasingly angry population.
Couldn’t happen in the US? It did. Look no further than the reset the US experienced from 1965 to 1985, with the most intense years beginning from 1970 to 1980.
Did the world end? No. Were babies still born? Yes. Did life go on? Clearly Yes. And yet someone that had under-consumed their whole life to save in a fixed debt instrument in 1965 had about 95% of its purchasing power vaporized by 1985 through the combined actions of interest rates hikes and price of real things, mirrored by gold and silver, readjusting to the new energy price paradigm.
So if just a small number of these 10% suddenly shift gears from the fear of running out of currency; to their currency having little purchasing value in the future; the prices of real assets go ballistic. The most liquid of which have throughout human history always been gold and silver.
