If I am reading this correctly the decision essentially says the right to have an abortion never existed, which is a huge win for the constitution.
The 14th Amendment never said anything at all about reproduction. But, “seven old men” said that it did, and legislatures and Congress were very happy about that because it meant that they didn’t have to confront the issues. Even though to do so is their job.
Bingo…let’s see all the Catholic Democrats who now actually have to campaign and vote in their states on this issue…not just sign petitions

We all know the so-called supreme court is no bueno, with the exception of a judge or two. We want so badly to believe that all is not lost in DC, we forget/forgive their treachery. This is the same court that would NOT hear any case related to the fake election.
I think the powers-that-be manipulate emotion with issues like these, moral or social… this is coming at the same time Con-gress is laying the groundwork for gun confiscation.
This decision might just be a distraction, and as thedoc has suggested, one with no teeth at that.

Actually there are changes. In Wisconsin for example, the old state law banning abortions kicks in now, you cannot have an abortion in Wisconsin now. Thankfully the GOP has control of the legislature so that law will not be changed easily.
Now we just need an Attorney General who is NOT Josh Kaul who is willing to prosecute liberals for their crimes…

The federal government had no business getting involved with it. The SCOTUS ruling (Roe v. Wade) was a classic example of legislating from the bench – by corrupted leftwing activist justices – which directly violates the Constitution..
It is a state or local matter precisely because it is outside the limited federal powers that are elaborated in the Constitution; i.e., Tenth Amendment..

So if a state government decides to not legislate for or against the procedure, then local jurisdictions can decide to permit it or forbid it. If they decline to legislate, then the individual is free to decide for themself.

Abortion will be severely restricted. In 2019, Ohio enacted a six-week ban that would apply to roughly three-quarters of abortions performed in that state.
The Wisconsin GOP just stopped the Dem Governor from trying to repeal the old state law banning abortions. This is why we need to vote all-GOP in November elections even if we hate our candidates. Majorities are SO important! Wisconsin never could have done this if the Dems controlled the state legislature.

Get rid of those people during the primaries. But in November vote for the GOP candidates because the majorities are more important than individual candidates. It’s because Wisconsin’s legislature is controlled by the GOP they were able to prevent the Democrat Governor from trying to repeal the old state law banning abortions. No Democrat majority would ever do that.

I’m actually surprised by this. I thought the whole leak thing was a fake or to force a reversal of the leaked decision.

Luckily they’d need 60 votes. I don’t think they’d be able to end the filibuster to get it done. Manchin and Sinema (sp ??) would go along with that, especially to expand the Court which would be clearly out of spite of recent Opinions.

The New Deal socialist agenda of FDR in the 1930’s was being incrementally dismantled, piece by piece, by the Republican-dominated Supreme Court UNTIL FDR’s threats of court packing managed to influence the court to reverse its earlier rulings.
HOWEVER, this court, much to John Roberts’ credit (I never thought I would say this), has stood strong in the face of Dems’ outrageous slandering, and wholesale threats against the Court, not to mention Merrick Garland’s bold-faced refusals to prosecute the opinion leaker (whoever it may be), or file charges on illegal protesters at homes of justices in stark violation of federal law.
Again, many kudos to this court!

A True Miracle!
It boggles my mind that any person, especially a woman, thinks that shredding a defenseless growing baby is a good way to resolve a mistake that the woman had nearly complete control to avoid! Guttmacher data shows that most abortions are had by women who didn’t bother to use birth control even though they knew they didn’t want to get pregnant.
Especially because there are a number of couples that have fertility problems and or are on an adoption list.
This is the problem. And the man involved is just as guilty. There was all this birth control crap being pushed back in the 60 through the late 70’s and now it’s like it never happened.
I came to celebrate this great day with other like-minded people. 🙂 The unborn baby killing will hopefully be reduced to half now that Roe is overturned.
We are going down the path of no abortion. This is the first step of protecting all of our babies! We have the camel’s nose under the tent just like the democrats have done so many times, that is why they are so upset. Thank you Lord and help us to continue to go forward! That being said, the left’s reaction is silly. NY, CA and a few others are announcing that they will become “sanctuary” states for abortion rights. No need to, of course, since they are free to make whatever abortion laws they want.
Pelosi has announced that she will push a FEDERAL law enshrining nationwide abortion rights. Also silly. The court just decided that regulating abortion is not a federal power but a state power.
Sooner or later, both sides will come to realize that if we want peace, the states must call nearly all of their own shots. Other than that, it’s civil war, again, partition, or some other sort of political dissolution. You know the drill:
“when in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bonds which have connected them with one another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature’s god entitle them…”
Personally, I don’t understand why the left cares about what happens in red states. Why not be satisfied with the territory they now control? It might be refreshing for both sides to taste the freedom to plot their own courses.
As with the gun case decided yesterday, I wonder if much will actually change on the ground within the individual states as a result of this decision.
Finally, I’d add that I’m sure there are millions of brain dead people on both sides who believe the Supreme Court outlawed abortion today.

Forgot to add, in South Dakota, where I currently am, there is a trigger law. It triggers if/when Scotus ever removes Rowe v. Wade. So, it has triggered and as of today, abortion is illegal in South Dakota.

Instead, this historic moment became, rather, a time for the Left to express its natural, violent instincts, knowing full-well that once the decision came down, emotion on the Right would be subdued, and even fearful, which it was. At all costs, the Left seeks to limit a social, philosophical coalescence on the Right because it seeks to isolate the latter, and brand it as distinctly un-American.
The Uniparty is, of course, fully to blame for this. Note that Trump’s victory in 2016 could easily have been celebrated as a singular event in American history, but then Trump’s victory would have been portrayed as an American victory, just as the overturning of Roe v Wade could be, if tables were reversed, celebrated as a general American victory if the Left were beneficiaries.
In the 48 hours after that great upset, 2016 victory, the Left preempted and upstaged any social or philosophical coalescence by defiling the Nation’s laws and its democratic system, something the little lefty babies always do when they need a diaper change.

Maybe the SCOTUS leaker is known and Garland is declining prosecution… protecting an ally

With the Roe v Wade Decision and NY 2nd Amendment decisions … after the euphoria wears off, step back and look what was said.
In the Court’s Dobbs decision the only difference with Roe v Wade is the key point cited by Thomas … the Mississippi Law was LEGISLATED not declared from the bench.
So, what was really won? The Mississippi Law still uses the same Roe v Wade moralizing arguments but changes the timing of application to occur after the added set a time limit for abortion on demand, supported by medical fact. Abortion is still legal under those guidelines. It will be interesting to see how many “conservative” states follow Mississippi’s lead with this type of “compromise oriented legislated law”. The abortion mills and fetus harvesting businesses will still be in operation … with Planned Parenthood Counseling concentrated inside the time limits prescribed by State Laws. All the clamoring about reduced abortions is due to abortion and fetus mills having to reschedule abortions and harvesting to comply with time limits.
As for the 2nd Amendment case, that was a very narrow finding that affects a BUYERS right to purchase and/or acquire but not decisions made regarding the ability to actually keep the guns legally obtained. RED FLAG Laws deal with removing already acquired weapons for PUBLIC GOOD, and the new legislation tightens who is allowed to actually SELL a gun, for PUBLIC GOOD. Neither of these issues was addressed in the NY 2nd Amendment case.
The Surpeme Court was allowed to make these rulings becuase they really change nothing.
Judging by how quickly and forcefully Planned Parenthood acted, I think even just reducing the number of abortions cuts greatly into their profits. We can’t immediately go to zero abortions, but a big reduction is a good first step.

The only saving grace is that for a very narrow window of time, some lives have been spared, while the court pondered.
The abortions will be RESCHEDULED to COMPLY.

Planned Parenthood and their Evil Peers all still received the Federal and in some cases State subsidy money. They lost very little if any funds.
IIRC, Planned Murderhood doesn’t get $$$ for baby parts unless the baby is “born alive” following partial birth abortion or late-term abortion where the body is still warm/heart beating as the crushed child is pulled into the world. The organs must be near term for medical research (all of those “fetal cell lines” cultures for “vaccines” come from baby organs that were nearly fully developed, kidneys, lungs, etc.)
Limiting abortion to the first 15 weeks, for instance, severely limits the $$$ making possibilities for Planned Murderhood. Their business model needs near-term dead babies to be profitable.
It is not the “body parts” where these evil monsters make their money but in the harvesting of genetic materials to add to drugs as well as for targeted therapies.
They price the body parts, according to PV in the video that was released where PP workers spilled their guts. So, yeah. No doubt they also sell the DNA, especially stem cells.

Restricting who can SELL guns is not protected.
Defining the word “people” who can keep guns is not protected.
Then there is the phrase “A well regulated militia…” that can be argued as the context for the right to bear arms. This last point has been argued successfully before the Supreme Court to as justifying congress putting laws in place regarding gun ownership.
Even defenders of the 2nd amendment lament that there is allot of room to argue the legality of imposing some limits.
If one wants to get literal … then anybody (criminal, mentally disturbed, law biding et al) has a right to carry a gun per your very own implied logic. Where do you draw the line??? That is why back in 2016 there 2nd Amendment advocates willing to compromise so long as very stringent “due process requirements” were added.
That is the reason for the courts …. to assess where the line is drawn and who draws the line. The acceptance of the existence of LAWS by citizens says that rights in the constitution are not absolute … there are limits.

Grill out with them, laughing at fireflies and watching birds and squirrels. Go fishing. Swim in the lake, river, creek, Gulf, Atlantic, or Pacific, whatever body of wild water you have nearby. Sit up at night on the back porch with them and watch that distant lightening storm and talk about whatever they want.
Affirm life with them.
And stop caring more for your own damned self than that child you are responsible for making. Your selfish little me-me-me life ENDED when that baby took its first breath. Get over yourself and get busy PARENTING that precious life toward a well-adjusted, grounded, faithful, and productive adulthood. THAT IS YOUR JOB, PARENTS.

This is just my humble opinion, but today’s historic ruling will have more ramifications than abortion. We have been under the Left’s satanic sexualizing of America ever since Roe vs. Wade was passed 50 years ago.
Look how far we have come in society with the turning away from God. As a result of Roe, our children were taught not to worry about having sex, because you can always get an abortion if you get pregnant. This led to the downfall of monogamous relationships and the sanctity of marriage.
It also led to trivializing sex, the sexification of men, women, and children in just about everything from education, to tv ads, to magazines, movies, etc.
Sex sells and the Left knew what they were doing 50 years ago. The AA family 50 years ago was more conservative with a father and a mother. Since Roe was passed, the AA family became fatherless and hence the destruction of the family unit. I don’t need to get into the impact it has had on the AA single family with poverty and crime rates.
Now, look at today. Men are competing in women’s sports, going into girls’s showers and bathrooms, and perverted sex books are in our children’s schools and libraries. Dem Governors are pushing for murdering children after they are born in the name of abortion.
One also has to wonder the impact it also had on sex trafficking. That is a multi-billion dollar business that the evil DS has been conducting for years.
I can go on and on but you get the point. With God’s guidance, please let today’s ruling be the start of reversing Satan’s destruction on America in these past 50 years. Please bring back God, faith, and family.

I heard some statistic this morning about the number of lives saved by the COVID vaccines. Estimated to be millions. Of course no credit was given to Trump. There was no mention of him and how he worked so diligently with the pharmaceutical companies to get the vaccines on the market. Regardless of your opinion of the vaccines, if the media is going to have glowing reports about their efficacy and how many lives they saved they should at least mention the man who is primarily responsible for their existence.

I know of two instances where pregnant mothers were advised -erroneously as it turns out- to abort their fetuses due to severe defects, like missing organs, gleaned from scans. Despite their apprehension, these mothers chose to carry their babies to term instead.
