Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Good advice. Thanks Leon.
One more . . .
My Dad loved playing the drums. The Dave Brubeck Quartet~ “Far More Drums”…..was one of his favorites. Such talent!
🙂
Happy Sunday, Garrison!
You, too. :=)
“Alas it was but none but me . . .”
Fly Away Home is a wonderful coming of age father/daughter movie. It’s so well done that it has become timeless. I’ve watched it several time and, trust me, it doesn’t get too old. If you’re feeling a bit down and need a cheap and easy up lift, this is a perfect movie to watch. Mary Chapin Carpenter’s performance of “10,000 miles” is just perfect. Enjoy, Treepers.
Good morning, Garrison💖…the most powerful (and truest) line in that bittersweet song. I hope you are able to visit your cafe this morning for a bit of “battery”restoration. Blessings this Sunday morning, my friend.🙏
Good morning Betsy, and good morning Garrison! May your day be filled with blessings.
Mornin, G💖 All His blessings.to you as well my dear friend. Stay cool…here comes the sun!!😉
And a good and blessed Sunday to you both, Bet and G! I’m a creature of habit so of course I’ll go for tacos in a little bit. I have some yard chores that are giving me accusing stares but I think I’ll ignore them for today . . . Be well, friends.
You are like my son in law. Being a Corpus Christi boy he is all about tacos.
Habits are good, routine (as best as it can be maintained) anchors us, I think, whether or not we recognize it.
Ignore the stares. Go get those tacos. Bon appetite!!
Happy Father’s Day to all .
Just an FYI, 18 June 2022, SE Wisconsin, Kenosha County, gasoline prices dropped to $4.99 BP, $4.89 Pilot, and $4.79 @ Costco.
Beginning of June 5, 6th was north of $5.09. Just passing information.
Will celebrate emancipation on the day it was signed Jan 1st, not this silly teenth day. There is no teenth on the calendar. Screw this BLM holiday.
Agree
It is Americans of faith that are trying to bring God back into this country. Good shot with that golf ball.
There was to be a big party at a local college for this teenth day. White people were told they were not invited, so do not come!! There is NO teenth on my calendar either.
Sirius XM Symphony channel has dedicated its whole afternoon to Juneteenth. They started out playing the “Black National Anthem”, a thing which counters the idea ” One nation, under God”.
Switched channels as fast as I could.
The only reason a “teenth” is even on my calendar is that today is the birthday of my much beloved mother in law who was one in a million.
My, what big ears you have there grandpa. You hear me now?
“I’m all ears.” Record setting goat in Pakistan.
PRAISE, MY SOUL, THE KING OF HEAVEN
Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.
— Psalm 103, KJV
This is the last hymn for this morning’s service where we attend church.
As I looked around youtube for this hymn, I found several that were very refined and elegant, including a few from ceremonies at Westminster Abbey. But today I like this one best. It has a lot of heart in it.
From Wikipedia: “‘Praise, my soul, the King of heaven’ is a Christian hymn. Its text, which draws from Psalm 103, was written by Anglican divine (clergyman) Henry Francis Lyte. First published in 1834, it endures in modern hymnals to a setting written by John Goss in 1868, and remains one of the most popular hymns in English-speaking denominations.”
Good morning, 1530.💖 A beautiful psalm and a wonderful hymn for any Sunday. Thank you.
Thank you, 1530, and good morning. One of my favorite psalms.
Thank you for this beautiful hymn, 1530. The organ reminds me of the Lutheran church I went to as a teenager. It had huge pipes in back of it and the whole balcony vibrated when it was played. Felt like the thunder of the Lord. I loved it.
You’re welcome, Marti. Hope you have a wonderful week!
19 June 1997 Bobby Helms [Robert Lee Helms], American country music singer (Jingle Bell Rock), dies at 63.
I’ll avoid the Christmas music.
Dad claimed to have went to school with him @ Decatur Central High School, which is just a half mile south of my grandmothers (my mom’s) old house.
Would have been 2 or 3 grades apart based on birth date.

Thank you Magic. I love both of these songs.
What a lovely devotional for this Father’s Day, Home. Every word of it so true. “Happy is the man who has a quiver full” of the gifts from God. Lord, bless all fathers this day and all days, and rest the souls of the beloved fathers who now are in your eternal care.🙏
…and bless eternally the sons and daughters who are not here to celebrate with their dads. There are many. My husband’s two lads are gone and he just said it grieves him to think about it. I know there are other fathers just like him.🙏
I’ll say a prayer for him Bet. Many years ago I lost a baby girl when she was only 2 months old. Can’t imagine the heartache of losing two grown sons. 💗
I am so sorry, G. So sorry. No one should see their children go before them…but they do, and all too often. No pain like it, as you sorrowfully know. 💔
💗 I find such comfort in the knowledge that I’ll get to see her again and really get to know her in Heaven. Praise be to God!
Happy Father’s Day to you Johnny Boy……and to our Dad’s up above…. xoxo
Good morning all. I hope you all have a wonderful fathers day.
Today we go to Dads. Wheel Chair bound and his great sharp mind now dulled, he still hangs in there. My father was the youngest of 5 kids raised by his mother alone during the great depression. All of his siblings are gone now. I knew, and spent time, with every one of them and his father and mother which were both exceptional people. She taught me a lot about cooking and baking and even quilting. He, well at age 14 I helped him build a house on the some land on the Tennesse River my dad had bought, so I learned a great deal about construction from him.
When a nipper Dad would pull a wagon along the railroad tracks to gather coal that had fallen from rail cars to help heat the house. He, like all of his siblings knew the value of a dollar and that served him well. He was also sharp as a tac when it came to math.
Though a draftee, he volunteered for the Airborne to be closer to home and for the extra $55.00 a month of jump pay.
Upon his discharge from the Army he started his own steel fabrication business in a two car garage when I was 3 years old. By the time I was 5 y/0 the garage was torn down and replaced by a new concrete block building. When I was 7 the building was expanded to double it’s original size.
When I was 8 he took his greatest risk. He bought the old Coca Cola building that was 5 times bigger. He also bought and moved us into a nice house in an upper middle class neighborhood in Forrest Hills from the house in front of his original shop which was in a much less desirable neighborhood.
When I was 16, having increased his sales to well over 5 million dollars a year he built another building for the Ornamental Iron Division.
Then, when I was 18 he added on and doubled the size of the original coke plant building.
During these times he also did community service. He was the president of the county Cerebral Palsy organization. He was President of the national Ornamental Metal Manufactures Association and was instrumental in the establishment of the Ornamental Metal Museum in Memphis, TN. And then served two terms on the Anderson City board of works during which the City went from a 5 million dollar deficit to a 5 million dollar surplus.
So all of kids and most the grandkids and some great grand children will be there at Dad’s today.
You were, and are, blessed , rah.
Enjoy your time with your Dad, he sounds like a LOT of man.
BTW my Dad’s mothers maiden name was Mary Clymer. She was a direct descendent of George Clymer. One of only 8 men who signed both the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.
Now THAT is cool!
hoping you are a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, rah.
Good morning, rah. You honour your father with this beautiful post. My father in law in post war Britain did the same with coal when he had 3 young children during their very cold winters. The difference was in Britain, it was actually a criminal offence to pick up fallen pieces of coal off the track, if you can imagine such a thing. So he had to be very careful to go at night to do it.
How lovely that the jewels of his earthly crown will all be with him today. Blessings be to you all.🙏
WOW! What a wonderful father you have!
Loved reading about your dad. He is special.
rah, great post honoring to your Dad!
BTW snow is in the forecast today for the top of Mt. Washington in NH and at Yellowstone.
The Origins of the Yellowstone Flooding and a June Gloom Forecast: All in My New Podcast – Watts Up With That?
We are still getting lots of cool days in Eastern Idaho – high of 68 today, over 90 a couple of days ago.
The combination of rain (north of here) and warmth is causing flooding. No reports (of course) on Filling reservoirs and the aquifer.
I imagine the 1000 springs south of there is a beauty to behold. Its a stretch of High cliffs where water flows. When the aquafer is low, the flow is low….
Rivers do what rivers do – carry water to other places.
The lower nearby mountains have all lost their show.
Higher mountains will have some until September
Here, more than other places we have lived, the old saying ‘If you don’t like the weather, wait awhile, it will change’ is real and dramatic.
I searched for pix, but this is the best Thousand Springs State Park – Visit Idaho
and it doesn’t begin to show the dramatic beauty of the drive
Happy Father’s day – fathers and those who love ’em
Morning, ms Idaho💖 I can only imagine how beautiful it is where you are. I have painted a mental picture.
It does seem to be a year of extremes everywhere. Too much in one area, not enough in another. But it is, as always, in His hands.
As if an answer to prayer (mine), this week we had two bursts of heavy rain, unforecasted, to give us a bit of relieve before next week’s brutal temperatures. Summer in the South is what it is. But as we age, it seems it affects us more. I know we shouldn’t wish time away. It will go of its own accord. I am like Garrison though…looking forward to October and those autumnal days. Even now on the Sirius XM symphony channel, they are playing Gounoud’s wonderful “Noel”. Can’t wait for the season! Blessings to you, my friend, and all whom you love🤗🙏
It seems extreme for most simply because it is presented as extreme without context to the past or real science. The mass death of those cattle for example. It is a weather phenomenon that has been recorded several times in the past due to downwelling heat and has absolutely nothing to do with climate. Birds drop out of the sky and livestock and other animals die from during such relatively rare occurrences with weather conditions are just right.
But I saw several “news” story blaming it on “climate change.”
Just like this piece of crap of a story:
Secret Polar Bear Population Discovered in an Unlikely Place | wthr.com
In it the guy says that Polar bears hunt penguins! LOL!
He also says that the bears are endangered because of the lack of sea ice. An absolute lie.
There are more polar bears now that when Al Gore was born. Nothing unusual is occurring with Arctic sea ice:
In fact this year the melt is below the 30 year mean:
Further in Greenland, where those bears live, the Surface Mass Balance (SMB) of the Greenland ice sheet has increased 3 out of the last 5 years and is currently right at the 30 year mean:
When you have lived (and camped) in as many different places as we have you get an entirely different perspective on the weather.
I can’t explain it. Each part of the country has what locals view as ‘normal’, but the variations from place to place are vast – even when the distances are not great. Sometimes its merely a function of elevation, but the nearness of water affects the local clime, too.
Growing up with the Great Lakes is very different from living with mountains nearby.
With all the recent rain everything is beautifully green. However, when the rain stops (and it will soon) the grass will die – and become tinder for fires.
Would they put animals to graze? Naz

The Service of Passionate Devotion
…do you love Me?…Tend My sheep. —John 21:16
Jesus did not say to make converts to your way of thinking, but He said to look after His sheep, to see that they get nourished in the knowledge of Him. We consider what we do in the way of Christian work as service, yet Jesus Christ calls service to be what we are to Him, not what we do for Him. Discipleship is based solely on devotion to Jesus Christ, not on following after a particular belief or doctrine. “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate…, he cannot be My disciple” (Luke 14:26). In this verse, there is no argument and no pressure from Jesus to follow Him; He is simply saying, in effect, “If you want to be My disciple, you must be devoted solely to Me.” A person touched by the Spirit of God suddenly says, “Now I see who Jesus is!”— that is the source of devotion.
Today we have substituted doctrinal belief for personal belief, and that is why so many people are devoted to causes and so few are devoted to Jesus Christ. People do not really want to be devoted to Jesus, but only to the cause He started. Jesus Christ is deeply offensive to the educated minds of today, to those who only want Him to be their Friend, and who are unwilling to accept Him in any other way. Our Lord’s primary obedience was to the will of His Father, not to the needs of people— the saving of people was the natural outcome of His obedience to the Father. If I am devoted solely to the cause of humanity, I will soon be exhausted and come to the point where my love will waver and stumble. But if I love Jesus Christ personally and passionately, I can serve humanity, even though people may treat me like a “doormat.” The secret of a disciple’s life is devotion to Jesus Christ, and the characteristic of that life is its seeming insignificance and its meekness. Yet it is like a grain of wheat that “falls into the ground and dies”— it will spring up and change the entire landscape (John 12:24).
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
Seeing is never believing: we interpret what we see in the light of what we believe. Faith is confidence in God before you see God emerging; therefore the nature of faith is that it must be tried.
Good morning FC.
For many years I had a picture on my office wall of a lighthouse on a rocky shoreline with the words “Vision is the ability to see the invisible” such is the mystery of faith. But, when we open our minds we see the signs. They surround us and reveal themselves to us daily.
Thank you for sharing these words of wisdom this morning. They’re very strong, very meaningful.
Have a very blessed Sunday. Cheers!
Good morning, Levi. Faith in things Unseen is very testing sometimes. But as you say, the proofs of the Unseen are indeed very visible. Or as Lewis said…
“We may ignore, but we can nowhere evade, the presence of God. The world is full of Him. He walks everywhere incognito.”
More Him, less us as we go through our days. Then we will definitely see. Blessings to you, dear sir.🙏
You do have a gift in attaching the most articulate words to any given scenario.
The very best of Sunday morning blessings to you and yours. Cheers!
🤗💖 as always, Levi.
Good morning, Cat💖 I’m sure your day and that of your family will be difficult. May the Holy Spirit be with you all, giving peace in the knowledge that your beloved husband is secure in the loving presence of His Father. Blessings to you, dear friend…with affection, Bet.🌷🙏
Hi Betsy! Day difficult? Perhaps. I’ve been on a very intriguing journey. Today, among others recently past or to come, each are a celebration of life experienced. Examination of how those days were shared and lessons learned. I’ve passed thru…so far, 46 year wedding anniversary(I count my blessings for 46), Father’s Day and, to come, his birthday, all independent of him. At this point, thinking years end holiday, possibly more easy ones. In my minds eye, he was a magnificent work of art. Unselfishly giving always and self sacrificing forever. Some men couldn’t stand where he did or does. They think they have experienced the types of tribulations he faced, and possibly that’s true, but they truly haven’t. It’s all good, Betsy 😘
Forever your friend is feral ❤️ you too, reader 😉
And Levi, grandpa, ms Idaho, et al, stay forever faithful and loving, especially the messages you bring to those who need the encouragement you unselfishly give of yourselves.
Truly what our Lord intended ❤️
Happy Father’s Day to all!!! ❤️
What a Father’s Day present, 3 of my favorite friends together. Good morning and many blessings, dear Cat, Bet, and Levi!
Here’s to one fabulous dad, G!! (Hint: that’s you!!🤗)
Ditto Betsy ❤️
No love like grandpa’s 🥰
Now, do you think we made him blush? Giggle
None whatsoever!💓
😊
I didn’t have a father in my life. Mom’s 2 other husbands were ‘there’, but not anything like rah describes re: his father in his life, And, of course, they are all gone.
Doc is all those things you mention that we love and enjoy .
Re: holidays – Doc worked them so others with family could have the holiday off. So, we had / have no special days, just happy times together.
Same here ms Idaho. Doc and his kind( mine) sacrificed so much, and who noticed? Only our Lord’s attention to that circumstance is important, not the critters. ❤️ doc and his kind did good. 😘
Good afternoon, ms. Have a good day with your wonderful husband.
My husband and I both worked in health care facilities for many years and with the children grown we both worked holidays so people with small children could be off with their families. Heart and hugs to you and Doc.
I understand exactly every emotion you write of, Cat.
We, all of us, start our earthly journey by ourselves, and we finish it by ourselves. By ourselves but never alone.
Along the way we meet our fellow travellers on their individual journeys…and by His grace we may meet a like soul who becomes our loving companion for part of that way. You had one such loving soul for those 46 years who has completed his sojourn and has arrived back Home. How you describe him is so beautiful, a tribute.
I am so fortunate to have one in the same mold on my journey. But the day will come when we will arrive at that fork in the road, one which requires we again go in different directions. For what we’ve had I am so grateful, as you are for your gift of your husband.
So now, you’ve picked us up. We are honoured to join you, Cat. We keep walking by His mercy, love and grace…and of course in His company always. Blessings be with you and your daughter, Cat💖🙏
The Good Lord Bless you, Cat. May he be with you thru all that you are going thru. You are in my prayers. Heart and Hugs.
Mornin’ comrade infidels.
Heh!
My goodness! Look at them! Forced attendance at a Stalinist show trial. Ugh…
Thanks, WeeWeed! Just the laugh I needed!
Ha, ha. What a bunch of sour mugs. I think they are all asleep!!
News that is not in “the news” of course.
Remember when the National Park Service had signs up at Glacier National Park saying that the glaciers would be melted and gone by 2020? If not then here’s the proof:
They took those signs down in 2019 when it became obvious the Glaciers were not going to be gone. Now those glaciers are growing and this year with the cold and exceptional snow pack up there this last winter, they are bound to be growing again as they have been the last couple of years.
BTW those glaciers are really young as glaciers go. They formed during the Little Ice Age (LIA) which was a time of exceptionally cold weather that ran from about 1300 to 1850. Since the LIA we have been gradually warming.
So called “Climate Scientists” like Michael Mann, claim that events like the LIA and Medieval Warming Period (WMP) were regional events and not global and were not as severe as proclaimed by earlier scientific studies or even shown by contemporary evidence in paintings and written descriptions. However there is now overwhelming evidence that in fact that they were global, even effecting Australia, but different regions were effected at different times.
Thanks for that. Snagged for use dispelling liberal propaganda.
They hate truth, especially when they are irrefutably proven wrong.
Idiots gonna idiot. Arrogant ones even more so.
Someone needs to find a pic of when they had signs up in the 1970’s of how rampant growth of the glaciers was going to put us into a new ice age and destroy all the eco-systems.
Fools. I didn’t believe them then, and I don’t believe them now. Trust only in the Lord.
Have you ever noticed that, no matter how many times the other side is wrong and proven wrong, they continue spewing more wrongs unencumbered by the litany of those lying in the wake of their past? Not even a prick of conscience.
I guess when satan fell he left his conscience behind.
Cheers mate!
Good morning Gramps. Happy Father’s Day. Blessings to you and yours. Cheers!
They tell so many lies…lie after lie after lie. So many in fact that they forget the ones they told earlier. If faced with their previous lies, I bet they all would deny they said those. And I bet their tongues are ebony black for the, as you say, spewing of them.
The leftists that are true believers have a common trait. Cognitive dissonance or IOW whenever you bring up irrefutable evidence to show they are wrong they will ALWAYS either try to quickly change the subject. Or they will knock over all the pieces on the chess board and claim that they were right and won the argument.
I see it time and again and again.
What you are describing there is classic narcissism. Is it possible that entire segments of society are, or are lead by, or are merely imitators of the narcissistic trait?? Whatever the reason, most research will tell you that in most instances, logic, pleading, a call to fairness etc etc is probably a waste of time – they just, and I believe, CANT reason any other way – I danno, maybe it’s a “system” hardwire – probably caused by a combination of what we are fed – both in the physical and the emotional.
Interesting points old school. Your thoughts companion a recent pondering of mine…..
This is what trauma bonding with a narcissist does.
🤔
Thanks Feral – He is correct, and having lived unknowingly, or at least not willing to accept it – a number of years with one, I can vouch for the accuracy of his words. I do believe that we as populations have now been subjected to the exact same – hence OUR feelings of unworthiness, of being always wrong, etc etc. The good news is once you recognize and understand what is going on, you are far better equipped to deal with such, not to mention the huge personal realization that you are NOT some worthless, unknowing fool, and have in truth great and tremendous potential – be who that you are and shine – as God intended.
Regardless or not of knowing a actual one, there’s a lot in this video I find myself relating to just by having a “normal” life too. We never see it coming, do we?

Morning
Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Heb. 12:14
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3
There shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth. Rev. 21:27
There is no spot in thee. Song 4:7
Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy. Lev. 19:2
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear. I Pet. 1:14-17
Put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and … put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Eph. 4:22-24
He hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love. Eph. 1:4
Evening
Gold tried in the fire. Rev. 3:18
There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. Mark 10:29, 30
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. I Pet. 4:12
Now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. I Pet. 1:6, 7
The God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. I Pet. 5:10
In the world ye shall have tribulation but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

An observation…
What is up with all the so-called debate (bickering) on some threads of late?
Be well. Guard your soul.
If I know what you are referring to, it’s pretty simple actually. A difference of opinions which cannot and do not coexist with one another (ie., irreconcilable differences). The differences are born of the exact same frustration, that the direction of the country is hopelessly destructive. But similarity and agreement end there.
Thanks for the heads up pflipper and Levi!! ❤️ 😉
Good synopsis, thank you.
Good Sunday Morning Everyone. Happy Father’s Day to all the gents. May it be a special day for all. A day to refresh your mind, renew your faith and recharge your soul.
Here’s hoping it is a day full of family get togethers, good food, endless hugs, smiles, laughter and love. Stay healthy. Stay safe. God bless all.
Cheers!
A little feel good “spiritual” music this Sunday morning………enjoy:
PLEASE PRAY FOR OHE ANOTHER
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Let go, let God.
Trusting the process of life, I resolve to give up my attempts to control it. I trust that Spirit is in and through all things. Rather than judge or resist, I have confidence in divine order and God’s absolute goodness.
Trust.

Oh MY!!!!! Beauty!! Thank you so much!!😍
Thank you, jay. Great selections. We really do need to get the dust off of the Bibles in this country. God bless you and have a good Fathers Day. Heart and Hugs to you.
Almost forgot a most important wish someone always had,
A very happy Father’s Day to all you moms that assume the role. You are the bestest role model absent a father and his role!!! ❤️
My son is a General Manage at a Popeyes Chicken. His manager that usually closes the store called him last night and said she wouldn’t be able to close.
She is single mother living with her sister and with two kids in a home in Avon, IN which is a western suburb of Indianapolis a little north of the airport.
She explained that she woke up in the dark in her bedroom because of a noise. A man stood up that had apparently be rummaging in her closet. She pulled her 9mm from under the pillow and fired. She missed. The man screamed “Sh!t” turned to run and she fire again, apparently hitting him in the shoulder. The man got away leaving a blood trail.
The police came said she did the right thing but they would have to take the firearm because they would need the ballistics from it to match up with the bullet if it still in the guy when if they catch up to him. All of her family were OK but the Police said it would best if she went to a motel or some other place until they could return her firearm.
Now there is a good reason to have more than one defensive firearm in your home.
I have yet to determine how many are enough. Somehow I always feel like just one more will do it. Same for ammo. Just another thousand rounds oughta do it. Growing up in the world of technology I believe in redundant system architecture.
You are correct, a good reason for more than one.
Happy Father’s Day! Better 3 or 4 too many than not enough.
One in every room? I noticed that 9mm SCCY’s are selling for $215-$230 now. They’re good little guns, have 10 round mags, and make perfect house or truck guns. They weigh about 17 ounces so aren’t bad to carry, either.
Great price for a reliable 9. One in every room isn’t a bad idea at all.
Ammo prices came down as well. I did a couple of bulk orders early this year but honestly, only because the prices were good again. I just don’t need anymore.
What I’ve decided I want more of on premise are magazines. A few more at a time seems to keep my 2A retail therapy need on an even keel.
I keep a couple of 45s and a Saint Victor pistol within reach by my bed and that’s just for warm-up. 😁
LOL….yup, my 9 is now an appendage, always with me. When I rest my head atop my pillow at night, my 9 rests beneath said pillow. Like my vows with my lil lady, til death do we part.
Thank God Almighty she and her children are all right!🙏😬
And strategically placed.
12 guage by the bed.
My son told her he thought it was a pretty good shoot getting him in the shoulder on the fly. She said it wasn’t because she was trying to blow the #$%^ers head off!
Martyr Nectan of Wales
https://www.oca.org/saints/lives/2022/06/17/103751-martyr-nectan-of-hartland
Saint Nectan was born in Wales and lived in the sixth century, but we know few details about his life. He was the oldest of the twenty-four children of Saint Brychan of Brecknock (April 6). While he was still living in Wales, God inspired him to imitate the example of Saint Anthony (January 17) and other ascetics, and to embrace the monastic life.
Saint Nectan is the patron of Hartland, Devonshire. The fullest surviving Life dates from the twelfth century (See Vol. 5 of THE SAINTS OF CORNWALL by G. H. Doble for an English translation).
There is an Orthodox house chapel (Russian diocese of Sourozh) dedicated to Saint Simeon and Saint Anna at Combe Martin, N. Devon where Saint Nectan is venerated.
