The Democrat Committee is trying desperately to connect the officers who died later (or of suicide) somehow to Jan 6. Especially Sicknick, since they had lied for weeks about how Sicknick died (hit in the head with a fire extinguisher). The ONLY people who died on Jan 6 were Trump supporters, most notably Ashli Babbitt who was murdered by a Capitol police officer hiding in the Speaker’s Hall.
Roseanne Boyland was knocked down in the tunnel by the crowd as “officers” attacked. She was beaten to death by a savage officer who took her club over her head to bring it down on Roseanne’s helpless head as Roseanne’s body lay unresponsive. The savage brute acting as an officer hit Roseanne over and over and over and over, even after Roseanne was visibly deceased.
To me, it was more enraging than Ashli. Roseanne was not inside the building. Roseanne was knocked down by a stampede and could have easily been arrested if that was necessary.
Ruling? Justified use of force.

I stopped to get some alfredo sauce on the way home last night as I don’t have time to make it from scratch. A granny and her little grandson were behind me. The child had an infected eye. He was wanting a lollipop to make his eye feel better but the granny said they didn’t have a dollar to get one.
Long story short, the little guy walked out of there with two lollipops and an admonition to wash his eye out with cold water and to not rub it and to keep his hands clean when tending to it.

Someone Just Tried to Kill Brett Kavanaugh. Welcome to the New Normal.
Early Wednesday morning, police arrested an armed man near the home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in Chevy Chase, Maryland. The man told investigators he’d traveled all the way from California to break into Kavanaugh’s house and kill the justice, then kill himself.
The man apparently told police that he was driven to kill Kavanaugh because he was angry that the justice likely had voted to overturn Roe.
The would-be assassin also was reported to be upset over the recent mass shootings in Buffalo, New York, and Uvalde, Texas. He believed Kavanaugh planned to vote to loosen gun laws, and his eliminating the justice would avoid that.

Man ‘aggressively’ trying to force his way into Ala. elementary school shot to death by SRO
An “aggressive” man who tried to get into an Alabama elementary school was shot and killed by a school resource officer Thursday.
The incident happened at Walnut Park Elementary School in Gadsden, which is about 40 miles from the Georgia border, according to ABC 33/40.
A person who was passing the school called 911 after seeing a man go to several doors to try to get into the school. The principal locked the school down and called a school resource officer and several other agencies for backup.
The SRO got into a tussle with the man, who tried to take the officer’s gun. The Sheriff’s Office said the officer shot the man outside school. The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. The SRO was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Upon hearing about the ridiculous DC idiots moving to a 15% ethanol standard for gas, I started researching how to remove ethanol from gas. It’s really quite easy. I tested about a 1/3 gallon of 89 octane I had for my non- diesel farm equipment. The process goes like this;
You need a clear container you can see through. I used an empty heavy plastic 1/2 gal diesal additive jug. You could use a regular fuel can if you have a clear plastic hose. For a gallon of gas mix 1 cup of colored water. Food coloring or I used a little coffee to darken the water. Put the gas in the container followed by the colored water. Mix thoroughly by shaking. Set the jug upside down with the lid tightly closed. Let the mixture stand for a couple hours. What will happen is the colored water with the ethanol bubbles will settle to the bottom (or the top of the upside down jug). The ethanol will bind with the water but the gas will not bind with the water. Because gas is lighter than water, the now ethanol free gas is at the top and the water/ethanol mix is at the bottom. Keep the jug upside down and slowly unscrew the lid to allow the water/ethanol to drain out. Close the lid when you see the gas at the lid. There are probably several different containers or methods for achieving this, but now I’m removing ethanol from all of the gas used in my equipment. The equipment all runs much better and this process is about $2 per gal cheaper than non-ethanol gas at the farm station. The same process could be done with a regular gas can and a clear hose. Just use the clear hose to siphon the water/ethanol mix off the bottom of the can after mixing and letting sit.

P. S. Somebody posted in the last several days a website which lists the gas stations which do not add ethanol to their gas. Wish that somebody would post it again in case most of you missed it. It was quite informative!

I thought it was a deep question. I am iconoclastic, my ancestors were here 150 years before the Revolutionary War they fought against the mentally deranged King George III. My ancestors fought under MANY different flags.

Ukraine is losing a war that is theirs to lose. They may as well get it over with and sue for peace. Russia will dictate terms to them which they must accept. Ukraine will now be completely out of ammunition, and Nazis.
With complete command of the skies over all parts of Ukraine, the Russians can and will continue blowing up any trains or convoys that attempt to supply Ukranian forces with ammunition and other supplies. They have a simple strategy in many areas: just cut them off, and wait them out. Neither the US nor the EU is going to actively step in to save them.

In some ways, the comment section of The Treehouse is evolving into something similar to CFP, with the exception of CFP’s Champaign Room. It’s too bad because I liked the difference and enjoyed reading both.
I guess you get the best of both worlds here, Sundance’s great insight and analytical break down of current events and somewhat similar type of comments that you will find on CFP.

In case folks are interested, Acronym ICE = Internal Combustion Engine.

…and, this one requires some knowledge of history, The Germans have more knowledge and practical experience on the manufacture synthetic fuels for ICE powered vehicles of ALL kinds. 2035 is a long way off and much WILL change by then.
The retooling costs to switch to EVs is gigantic. 13 years is very short for this scale of change.
The auto industry (other than Tesla) can not make EV’s at a profit without massive subsidies and even then, they cost as much as luxury cars.
Germany is going through more cognitive diss0nace. The German economy is export driven and they hate importing manufactured goods, especially from the US. Germany already has the western world’s highest electric rates thanks to “green” energy (windmills, solar, etc).
No matter how much leftist policies make people suffer, leftists always double down as their solution. There doesn’t seem to be a breaking point.
The energy cost of retooling is also gigantic, in fact, is counterproductive in that it will require more energy than it saves.

The key issue we must solve is running out of ‘cheap’ fossil fuel energy. Carbon-neutral synthetic fuels made with a new generation of nuclear power that runs on nuclear waste ‘is’ one of the best solutions because it allows the use of the existing infrastructure.
